Abstract
Description
[Technical field]
[0001] The present invention relates to a hair cosmetic composition, more particularly to a hair cosmetic composition that is sprayed in the form of a mist for use, imparts desired shape, smoothness, water repellency, etc. to hair, and can maintain these effects for a long period of time, and is also excellent in stability and usability, and a method for using the same. [Background technology]
[0002] Hair-washing cosmetics such as shampoos and conditioners, and hair-finishing cosmetics such as hair styling agents and hair treatments contain various hair care ingredients such as silicones. These hair care ingredients are adsorbed to and repair damaged areas of the hair, and coat the hair to improve combability.
[0003] However, while the polymers that have been incorporated into conventional hair cosmetics as hair care ingredients may restore combability immediately after use, they are easily washed away when washing the hair, and many of them are insufficient in terms of long-lasting effects or feel when used.
[0004] For example, Patent Documents 1 and 2 disclose hair cosmetics containing (a) a block polymer with a specific structure, (b) water and / or a lower alcohol solvent, (c) a thickener, and (d) silicone, which are said to have excellent straightening effect immediately after application to hair, as well as excellent stability and usability. However, the block polymer contained in the hair cosmetics is a resin whose main chain has a polyvinyl structure, and there is room for improvement in terms of the hard and stiff feel, the squeaky feel, and the stickiness. In addition, the block polymer tends to be easily washed away, which causes a problem of insufficient durability of the hair straightening effect.
[0005] Patent Document 3 discloses a non-aqueous hair cosmetic composition containing (A) dimethiconol, (B) a block copolymer type poly(oxyethylene-oxypropylene)-alkylene-methylpolysiloxane copolymer, (C) a volatile silicone, and (D) a vegetable oil. This hair cosmetic composition is said to have excellent transparency, straighten hair and maintain the straightness, protect hair from the heat of an iron, and provide natural luster and suppleness. However, this non-aqueous hair cosmetic composition has the drawback of making hair feel heavy due to the oil contained therein, being easily washed off, and the straightening effect on hair is not sufficiently sustained.
[0006] Patent Document 4 describes a hair treatment method using a composition containing a silicone polymer having an alkoxy-(aminomethyl)-silyl group at the end. The silicone polymer used here is said to maintain the shape of the hair for a long time and to exhibit good cosmetic properties. However, the composition used for this hair treatment is non-aqueous, and the amount of water is limited to less than 5%, and the presence of 5% or more of water does not produce the desired effect. [0008] Therefore, an object of the present invention is to provide an aqueous hair cosmetic composition that can be sprayed in the form of a mist and that, by applying the cosmetic composition to hair and then appropriately heating it, can restore the hydrophobicity, combability, and smoothness of damaged hair and has excellent lasting effect, capable of maintaining its effects for a long period of time. [Means for solving the problem]
[0009] The present inventors have discovered that by using a copolymer which contains a polysiloxane structure and a polyoxyalkylene structure in its main chain and has a side chain having a trialkoxysilane group or a silanol group, and by blending this in combination with a cationic surfactant, it is possible to obtain a hair cosmetic which exhibits excellent durability of effect, high water repellency, and smooth usability, and have thus completed the present invention.
[0010] That is, the present invention provides (A) a copolymer containing a polysiloxane structure and a polyoxyalkylene structure in its main chain and having a side chain having a trialkoxysilane group or a silanol group; (B) a cationic surfactant; (C) a lower alcohol; and (D)Water The present invention provides a hair cosmetic composition comprising: Effect of the Invention
[0011] The hair cosmetic composition of the present invention is an aqueous hair cosmetic composition that uses a copolymer containing a polysiloxane structure and a polyoxyalkylene structure in its main chain and having a side chain containing a trialkoxysilane group or a silanol group, and that is formulated in combination with a cationic surfactant. This allows the hair cosmetic composition to be sprayed in the form of a mist for use, imparts hydrophobic (water-repellent) properties to the hair surface, makes the hair quick-drying and smooth to the touch, makes the hair easier to manage, improves heat resistance, chemical resistance, and resistance to pollutants (such as pollen), and is excellent in usability, with these effects lasting for a long period of time. DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENTS
[0012] Each component contained in the hair cosmetic composition of the present invention will be described in detail below. (A) A copolymer containing a polysiloxane structure and a polyoxyalkylene structure in the main chain and having a side chain having a trialkoxysilane group or a silanol group. The polymer component (component A) incorporated in the hair cosmetic composition of the present invention is a copolymer that contains a polysiloxane structure and a polyoxyalkylene structure in the polymer main chain and has side chains containing trialkoxysilane groups or silanol groups (hereinafter referred to as "crosslinked silicone POA copolymer").
[0013] The crosslinked silicone POA copolymer has excellent adhesion to hair due to the hydrophilicity of the polyoxyalkylene structure in the main chain, the polysiloxane structure in the main chain imparts hydrophobicity (water repellency) to the hair surface, and the alkoxysilane or silanol groups in the side chain crosslink at relatively low temperatures to form a strong film, resulting in excellent durability of the effect.
[0014] The polysiloxane structure constituting the main chain of the crosslinked silicone POA copolymer of the present invention is made of polydialkylsiloxane, preferably polydimethylsiloxane, in which a portion of the alkyl groups (preferably methyl groups) may be substituted with phenyl groups.
[0015] The polyoxyalkylene structure constituting the main chain of the crosslinked silicone POA copolymer of the present invention preferably contains, as a repeating unit, at least one selected from the group consisting of an oxyethylene group (EO), an oxypropylene group (PO), and an oxybutylene group (BO).
[0016] The crosslinked silicone POA copolymer of the present invention preferably further has a side chain made of an organic group. The organic group that becomes the side chain is exemplified by a hydrocarbon group (preferably an alkyl group, for example, a linear or branched alkyl group having about 1 to 30 carbon atoms, or a phenyl group) that may be optionally substituted with an amino group, a hydroxyl group, a carboxyl group, etc. The hydrocarbon group preferably has an amino group, and the hydrogen atom of the amino group may be further substituted with an alkyl group, etc.
[0017] The crosslinked silicone POA copolymer of the present invention preferably further comprises a nitrogen atom in its backbone, and preferably said side chains are bonded to said nitrogen atom.
[0018] A more specific example of the crosslinked silicone POA copolymer is Polysilicone-29 (INCI name), which is defined as a composite silicone compound obtained by reacting a dimethylsiloxane polymer having a glycidylpropyl group at the end with PEG-13 diglycidyl ether, diethylaminopropylamine, and aminopropyltriisopropoxysilane.
[0019] The crosslinked silicone POA copolymer of the present invention may be a commercially available product. For example, the copolymer contained in a hair conditioning agent sold by Momentive Performance Materials under the trade name "Silsoft CLX-E" is particularly preferably used. This copolymer is a compound belonging to "polysilicone-29". The copolymer contains a polysiloxane structure, a polyoxyalkylene structure, and nitrogen atoms in the main chain, has a side chain having a trialkoxysilane group and a side chain consisting of an organic group, the polysiloxane structure contains polydimethylsiloxane, the polyoxyalkylene structure contains polyoxyethylene and polyoxyisopropylene, and the side chain is bonded to the nitrogen atom of the main chain. "Silsoft CLX-E" is a product containing the copolymer, dipropylene glycol, and water.
[0020] The blending amount of the crosslinked silicone POA copolymer (component A) in the hair cosmetic composition of the present invention is preferably in the range of 0.05 to 5.0 mass%, more preferably 0.1 to 4.0 mass%, and even more preferably 0.1 to 3.0 mass%. If the blending amount of the crosslinked silicone POA copolymer is less than 0.05 mass%, the intended effect may not be obtained, and if it is blended in more than 5.0 mass%, the usability may decrease.
[0021] (B) Cationic surfactant The cationic surfactant (component B) to be incorporated in the hair cosmetic composition of the present invention is not particularly limited as long as it can be incorporated in cosmetics. Among them, a quaternary ammonium salt represented by the following general formula (I) is preferred.
[0022] [ka] [In the formula, R 1 is a linear or branched alkyl group having 6 to 35 carbon atoms; R 2 , R 3 and R 4 are the same or different and each represents a hydrogen atom or a linear or branched alkyl group having 1 to 3 carbon atoms, and X represents a halogen ion or an organic anion.
[0023] More specifically, R is a linear or branched alkyl group having 6 to 35 carbon atoms. 1 R includes, for example, a hexyl group, a heptyl group, an octyl group, a nonyl group, a decyl group, a undecyl group, a dodecyl group, a tridecyl group, a tetradecyl group, a pentadecyl group, a hexadecyl group, a heptadecyl group, an octadecyl group, a nonadecyl group, an icosyl group, a henicosyl group, a docosyl group, a tricosyl group, a tetracosyl group, a pentacosyl group, a hexacosyl group, a heptacosyl group, an octacosyl group, a nonacosyl group, a triacontyl group, a hentriacontyl group, a dotriacontyl group, a tritriacontyl group, a tetratriacontyl group, a pentatriacontyl group, a myristoleyl group, a palmitoleyl group, an oleyl group, a linoyl group, a linoleyl group, a ricinoleyl group, and an isostearyl group. 2 , R 3and R 4 As described above, are the same or different and are a hydrogen atom or a linear or branched alkyl group having 1 to 3 carbon atoms. X may be a halogen ion such as chlorine, iodine, or bromine, or an organic anion such as methosulfate, ethosulfate, methophosphate, or ethosulfate.
[0024] Particularly preferred cationic surfactants in the present invention include R 1 The number of carbon atoms is 22 and R 2 , R 3 and R 4 Behenyltrimethylammonium chloride (=behentrimonium chloride), where R is a methyl group and X is chlorine. 1 The number of carbon atoms is 18 and R 2 , R 3 and R 4 R is stearyltrimethylammonium chloride (=steartrimonium chloride), where R is both a methyl group and X is chlorine. 1 The number of carbon atoms is 16 and R 2 , R 3 and R 4 and cetyltrimethylammonium chloride, in which both are methyl groups and X is chlorine.
[0025] The hair cosmetic composition of the present invention can contain one or a combination of two or more of the above cationic surfactants.
[0026] The amount of the cationic surfactant (B) in the hair cosmetic of the present invention is preferably 0.01 to 1.0% by mass, more preferably 0.03 to 0.5% by mass, and even more preferably 0.05 to 0.5% by mass, based on the total amount of the cosmetic. If the amount is less than 0.01% by mass, the stability of the preparation decreases, and if it exceeds 1.0% by mass, the feel when used may become poor.
[0027] In the hair cosmetic composition of the present invention, the ratio of the amount of the crosslinked silicone POA copolymer (A) to the amount of the cationic surfactant (B) [(A) / (B)] is preferably 0.5 or more, more preferably 0.8 or more. If this ratio is less than 0.5, sufficient effects may not be obtained. The upper limit of the blend ratio [(A) / (B)] is not particularly limited, but is usually 500 or less, and preferably 300 or less.
[0028] (C) Lower alcohol The lower alcohol used in the present invention is generally an alcohol having 5 or less carbon atoms, and is not particularly limited as long as it can be used in cosmetics. Examples include ethanol, propanol, isopropanol, isobutyl alcohol, and t-butyl alcohol. Among them, ethanol is preferably used. The hair cosmetic of the present invention can contain one or more types of lower alcohol in combination.
[0029] The blending amount of the lower alcohol (C) in the hair cosmetic of the present invention is preferably 10 to 60 mass % and more preferably 20 to 50 mass % based on the total mass of the cosmetic. If the blending amount of the lower alcohol is less than 10 mass %, the stability tends to decrease. On the other hand, if it is 60 mass % or more, the spread on the hair becomes poor, and the smoothness of the hair is insufficient.
[0030] (D)Water The hair cosmetic composition of the present invention is a low-viscosity aqueous cosmetic composition that can be used by spraying it in the form of a mist. In this specification, the term "aqueous cosmetic composition" refers to a cosmetic composition that contains water in an amount of 40% by mass or more, and preferably 50% by mass or more, based on the total amount of the cosmetic composition.
[0031] In addition to the essential components (A) to (D) described above, other components usually used in cosmetics, pharmaceuticals, etc. can be added to the hair cosmetic composition of the present invention as long as they do not impair the effects of the present invention. Examples of such components include moisturizers, oils, powder components, natural polymers, synthetic polymers, thickeners, UV absorbers, surfactants (other than cationic), sequestering agents, pH adjusters, skin nutrients, vitamins, antioxidants, antioxidant assistants, fragrances, etc.
[0032] The pH of the hair cosmetic composition of the present invention is not particularly limited, but is preferably 5 to 8. In particular, by adjusting the pH to the range of 5 to 7, the effect of making the hair surface hydrophobic (water repellent) is further improved.
[0033] The hair cosmetic composition of the present invention is an aqueous cosmetic composition, and may be in the form of an oil-in-water emulsion or a solution (solubilized). The cosmetic composition of the present invention can be produced by a conventional production method, and is suitable for being provided in a container for spraying in the form of a mist or spray.
[0034] The hair cosmetic composition of the present invention can be used as a "rinse-off" type cosmetic composition that is applied to hair and then rinsed off, or as a "leave-on" type cosmetic composition that is applied to hair and then not rinsed off.
[0035] The heat treatment temperature is 40° C. to 230° C., preferably 60° C. to 180° C., and more preferably 80° C. to 150° C. If the temperature is less than 40° C., the effect will not last long enough. If the temperature exceeds 230° C., the heat may damage the hair. EXAMPLES
[0036] The present invention will be described in more detail below with reference to examples, but the present invention is not limited to these examples. The blend amounts are shown in mass % unless otherwise specified.
[0037] First, hair cosmetics of each example were prepared in a conventional manner according to the formulations shown in Tables 1 and 2 below. The stability of each cosmetic example was evaluated according to the following criteria, and any cosmetic in which precipitation was observed was not subjected to further evaluation.
[0038] The hair cosmetic compositions (1.0 g) of each example whose stability had been confirmed were applied to a 15 cm (0.5 g) damaged hair strand, which was then heat-treated at 150° C. using a hair iron. The hair strands treated with each of the hair cosmetics were evaluated for usability and water repellency (contact angle) according to the following methods / criteria. In addition, each hair strand was washed five times with a 10% SLES solution shampoo containing no conditioning ingredients, and the water repellency (contact angle) was measured after washing once and after washing five times with the shampoo.
[0039] Evaluation method and criteria <Stability> The prepared cosmetic composition was left to stand at room temperature for 7 days, and the presence or absence of precipitation was visually observed. A: Stable (no precipitation observed) D: Unstable (precipitation observed)
[0040] <Usability (smooth hair feel)> The hair strands treated with each example of the hair cosmetic composition were touched by trained researchers with their hands and judged according to the following evaluation criteria. (Evaluation Criteria) A: The hair feels very smooth. B: The hair feels smooth. C: Hair feels smooth but stiff and sticky. D: The hair does not feel smooth.
[0041] <Duration of effect> The evaluation of the usability (smooth feeling) was carried out one day and five days after the hair treatment and was rated according to the following criteria. A: The evaluation results did not decline even after five days. B: The evaluation result did not decrease when measured one day later, but it did decrease when measured five days later. D: The evaluation result was decreased after one day. Here, "the evaluation result drops" means that an A rating drops to a B rating, a B rating drops to a C rating, and so on.
[0042] <Water repellency (contact angle)> 2 μl of water was dropped onto the surface of a hair strand, and the droplet was photographed under a microscope. From the photographed image, the left and right angles of the droplet on the hair were measured, and the average of these was taken as one measurement. The same measurement was repeated three times, and the average was taken as the contact angle value.
[0043] [Table 1]
[0044] [Table 2]
[0045] As shown in Table 1, the hair cosmetics of Examples 1 to 5, which were prepared by combining (A) a crosslinked silicone POA copolymer and (B) a cationic surfactant and incorporating them into a mist-type cosmetic composition containing (C) a lower alcohol and (D) water, were excellent in providing a silky feel to hair, and this effect was sustained for a long period of time. In addition, the contact angle (water repellency) was well maintained even after washing five times with shampoo.
[0046] On the other hand, in the results shown in Table 2, in Comparative Example 1, which did not contain (A) crosslinked silicone POA copolymer, the water repellency of usability (smooth feeling) did not last, and after one wash it became equivalent to untreated hair (Comparative Example 4). Also, in Comparative Examples 2 and 3, which did not contain (B) cationic surfactant or (C) lower alcohol, stable formulations could not be prepared.
[0047] Other formulation examples of the hair cosmetic composition of the present invention are given below.
