Abstract
Description
[Technical Field]
[0001] The present invention relates to a liquid fertilizer composition for broccoli cultivation and uses thereof. [Background technology]
[0002] Liquid fertilizer is a liquid fertilizer in which nutrients required by plants are dissolved in water or other solvents, or in which fine particles of nutrients or microorganisms are dispersed in a solvent. Recently, with the expansion of crop cultivation areas, the use of facilities, mechanization, and automation, the use of liquid fertilizer to fertilize crops is becoming increasingly common in the cultivation of many crops, including fruit trees.
[0003] Broccoli, one of the top 10 superfoods selected by the Times, has a taste similar to cabbage but a milder texture. It contains 114mg of vitamin C, 1.9mg of carotene, 164mg of potassium, and 150mg of calcium per 100g, and twice the iron of other vegetables. It contains twice the amount of vitamin C as lemons, and also contains anti-cancer beta-carotene and selenium. It also contains 10 times the amount of the antioxidant sulforaphane compared to other vegetables. Broccoli is also rich in calcium, lutein, vitamin A, and other nutrients, yet is low in calories.
[0004] Various methods are used in the cultivation of broccoli, and various studies have been conducted to increase the content of functional components in broccoli, such as beta-carotene or polyphenols. After extensive research, the inventor of the present invention has invented a liquid fertilizer that can increase the content of functional components in broccoli. [0038] (Example) The present invention will be described in more detail with reference to one or more specific examples below. However, these examples are for illustrative purposes only and the scope of the present invention is not limited to these examples.
[0039] Example 1: Production of liquid fertilizer composition for broccoli cultivation
[0040] Example 1-1. Production of liquid fertilizer for broccoli Broccoli liquid fertilizer was made by filling a 110L tank with 80% broccoli by-products, adding 200g of solar salt and 200g of leaf mold, then adding 100L of water, covering it, and leaving it to compost and ferment for over a year.
[0041] Example 1-2. Production of liquid fertilizer composition for broccoli cultivation Medicinal herbs (Kawamidori, Korean ginseng, and Okera cricket), Purslane, Nori, and Hijiki were mixed in a weight ratio of 1:1:1:1, and 100 parts by weight of the mixture was mixed with 0.2 parts by weight each of solar salt and leaf mold, and the mixture was allowed to mature at room temperature.
[0042] The ripened product and the liquid broccoli fertilizer of 1-1 were mixed in a ratio of 1:1 to prepare a liquid fertilizer composition for broccoli cultivation.
[0043] The prepared liquid fertilizer composition for broccoli cultivation was diluted 20 times (5%) and irrigated to broccoli using a liquid fertilizer mixer (number of irrigations: 4).
[0044] The sources of the raw materials used in the production of the liquid fertilizer composition for broccoli cultivation or in the following experiments are as follows. [Table 1]
[0045] Experimental Example 1: Confirmation of growth characteristics of liquid fertilizer composition for broccoli cultivation The growth characteristics of the liquid fertilizer compositions for broccoli cultivation prepared in Example 1 were examined. Specifically, the conventional fertilization method (B1), the composition of Example 1 (broccoli liquid fertilizer + medicinal herbs (3 types) + purslane + seaweed + hijiki, B2), broccoli liquid fertilizer (B3), broccoli + ginseng + seaweed (B4), and broccoli + stevia (B5) were applied during broccoli cultivation, and the growth characteristics of the broccoli in the later stages were examined.
[0046] As a result, as can be seen from Table 2, it was found that there were no differences between the treatments in growth characteristics such as plant height, leaf length, leaf width, number of leaves, bulb height, and bulb width, and it was confirmed that there were no significant differences in the fertilizer components of the liquid fertilizer, and that there were no losses due to damage from pests and diseases, so there were no differences in quantity. [Table 2]
[0047] Experimental Example 2: Analysis and confirmation of broccoli components after liquid fertilizer treatment Changes in broccoli components, particularly functional components, were confirmed by treatment with the liquid fertilizer composition for broccoli cultivation prepared in Example 1. Specifically, the components of broccoli cultivated in Experimental Example 2 were analyzed.
[0048] As a result, as can be seen from Table 3, the nutritional components of broccoli flower buds treated with the liquid fertilizer of the present invention increased by 267% in beta-carotene, 153% in vitamin C, and 130% in polyphenols compared to the control (conventional fertilization, B1). This demonstrates that the liquid fertilizer composition of the present invention increases the content of functional components in broccoli. [Table 3]
[0049] The present invention has been described above with a focus on preferred embodiments. Those skilled in the art will understand that the present invention can be realized in modified forms without departing from the essential characteristics of the present invention. Therefore, the disclosed embodiments should be considered from an illustrative rather than a restrictive perspective. The scope of the present invention is defined by the claims, not the above description, and all variations within the scope of the claims should be construed as being within the scope of the present invention.
