Abstract

Improved apparatus, systems, and techniques are presented for coupling a network-linked peripheral device to a host computing device. The method includes obtaining, via a network interface of the host device, an indication of a peripheral device available for association with the host device. Based on the indication, the method includes initiating instantiation of the peripheral device into a Peripheral Component Interconnect Express (PCIe) subsystem of the host device by at least emulating the behavior of the peripheral device via the network interface as a PCIe peripheral device locally coupled to the host system.
