AI Technical Summary

Technical Problem

Conventional heating assemblies in aerosol generating devices heat the aerosol-generating matrix unevenly, leading to a poor user experience.

Method used

A heat-generating assembly with a substrate and conductive traces that form at least two high-temperature regions, ensuring uniform heating by configuring the conductive traces to generate heat under energized conditions.

Benefits of technology

The solution provides more uniform heating, improving the user experience by ensuring even heating and aerosol production, reducing the risk of excessive heating and fatigue cracks in the conductive traces.

Abstract

A heating assembly (100) and an aerosol generating device (200), the heating assembly (100) including a substrate (20) and a conductive trace (30), the substrate (20) having a heating region (21), the conductive trace (30) disposed in the heating region (21), the substrate (20) and the conductive trace (30) being adapted to be at least partially inserted into an aerosol generating matrix so that the conductive trace (30) generates heat under an energized condition to heat the aerosol generating matrix, the conductive trace (30) being configured such that under an energized condition the conductive trace (30) forms at least two high temperature regions (31) in the heating region (21), thereby making the heating of the heating assembly more uniform and improving the user experience.
