Abstract
The subject of the application is a method for selective separation of platinum from rhodium from multi-component technological solutions not containing other noble metals using monoquaternary ammonium salts, which is characterized in that after separation of platinum using a solution of ammonium salts in toluene, the obtained extract is mixed for 3 to 10 minutes with a 2M thiourea solution containing from 1% to 3% of ethanol at a ratio of the aqueous phase to the organic phase from 1:1 to 2:1, then the organic phase is directed to another extraction using known methods, and the raffinate obtained after separation of Pt is subjected to pressure reduction with a mixture of hydrogen and nitrogen containing at least 5% of hydrogen for 2 - 6 hours at a temperature of 160°C - 180°C.
