Abstract
Description
Beauty device
[0001] The present invention relates to a cosmetic device.
[0002] For skin beautification, cosmetic devices equipped with rollers that rotate while being pressed against the skin are known. For example, in the cosmetic device described in JP 2013-103085 A, a pair of support shafts positioned on an intersecting axis are provided at the tip of the handle. Furthermore, a rotor is rotatably supported at the tip of each support shaft. These rotors impart a cosmetic effect to the body.
[0003] In the beauty device disclosed in JP 2013-103085 A, the user moves two rotating bodies back and forth while pressing them against the skin, causing the rotating bodies to press against the skin and the skin between the rotating bodies to be pinched up and deformed. As a result, beauty effects such as beautifying the skin can be expected.
[0004] However, the cosmetic device disclosed in JP 2013-103085 A may pinch the skin too strongly depending on the treatment area and the relative position of the cosmetic device and the skin. For this reason, there is a demand for a cosmetic device that can pinch the skin with an appropriate amount of force regardless of the area being treated.
[0005] The present invention has been made in view of the above background, and an object of the present invention is to provide a beauty device that can be suitably used on various parts of the body.
[0006] A cosmetic device according to one aspect of the present invention comprises a handle to be held by a user, a connecting portion held by the handle, and a pair of rollers rotatably held by the connecting portion, wherein the connecting portion is configured to displace the rollers in multiple directions from a reference position, and is configured to urge the rollers in a direction that returns them to the reference position when the rollers are displaced from the reference position.
[0007] The cosmetic device has a connector between the handle and the rollers. The connector is configured to displace the rollers in multiple directions from a reference position. For example, when using the cosmetic device, a user adjusts the force with which the pair of rollers press against the skin. The connector may be configured to displace the pair of rollers so as to increase the distance between them through such adjustment. That is, the connector may be configured to displace the pair of rollers in a direction that increases the distance between them. Alternatively, the connector may be configured to displace the pair of rollers in a direction opposite to the direction of movement of the cosmetic device, for example, when the cosmetic device is reciprocated. This allows the force with which the pair of rollers pinch the skin to be easily adjusted. Therefore, the pair of rollers can pinch the skin with an appropriate amount of force.
[0008] Furthermore, the connecting portion is configured to bias the roller in a direction that returns the roller to the reference position when the roller is displaced from the reference position. Therefore, for example, when the pair of rollers are displaced so that the distance between them increases, the connecting portion can apply a biasing force to the portion sandwiched between the rollers. Therefore, it is expected that good beauty effects can be obtained by using the beauty device.
[0009] As described above, according to the above-described aspect, it is possible to provide a beauty device that can be suitably used on various parts of the body.
[0010] Fig. 1 is a perspective view of a cosmetic device according to an embodiment. Fig. 2 is an exploded perspective view of a cosmetic device according to an embodiment. Fig. 3 is a top view of a cosmetic device according to an embodiment. Fig. 4 is a front view of a cosmetic device according to an embodiment. Fig. 5 is a side view of a cosmetic device according to an embodiment. Fig. 6 is a top view of a connection part of a cosmetic device according to an embodiment. Fig. 7 is a bottom view of a connection part of a cosmetic device according to an embodiment. Fig. 8 is a front view of a cosmetic device according to an embodiment in a state where it is pressed against the skin. Fig. 9 is a side view of a cosmetic device according to an embodiment in a state where it is pressed against the skin and moved forward.
[0011] The cosmetic device is configured so that the position of the rollers can be displaced from a reference position when the user grips the handle and presses the pair of rollers against the skin or moves the rollers back and forth while in contact with the skin. Here, the "reference position" of the rollers refers to the position of the rollers when the cosmetic device is not in use, i.e., when the pair of rollers are not in contact with the skin. The reference position exists within a range in which the rollers can be displaced.
[0012] The rollers in the cosmetic device may be arranged in various ways. For example, the pair of rollers may include a first roller and a second roller. In this case, the first roller and the second roller may be arranged so that, when they are in their reference positions, the center line of rotation of the first roller intersects with the center line of rotation of the second roller at a position closer to the handle than the rollers themselves. In this case, when a user moves the cosmetic device back and forth while pressing the pair of rollers against their skin, the pair of rollers can easily pinch and lift the skin.
[0013] From the viewpoint of ensuring that the pair of rollers can reliably pinch the skin, the first roller and the second roller of the pair are preferably arranged so that, when they are in their reference positions, the center line of rotation of the first roller and the center line of rotation of the second roller intersect at a position closer to the handle than either roller. In this case, the angle formed by the center line of rotation of the first roller and the center line of rotation of the second roller is preferably greater than 0° and less than 120°, also preferably greater than 10° and less than 120°, more preferably greater than 15° and less than 90°, even more preferably greater than 18° and less than 70°, even more preferably greater than 20° and less than 60°, particularly preferably greater than 30° and less than 60°, and most preferably 45°.
[0014] The first roller and the second roller of the pair of rollers may be arranged so that the center line of rotation of the first roller and the center line of rotation of the second roller are parallel to each other when they are in the reference position. In the cosmetic device, the connecting part can displace the pair of rollers, for example, so that the distance between the first roller and the second roller increases. Therefore, regardless of the arrangement of each roller in the reference position, the rollers can be displaced so that the pair of rollers press against the area where a cosmetic effect is desired.
[0015] The pair of rollers may be in contact with each other or spaced apart from each other at the reference position. As described above, the pair of rollers can be displaced in multiple directions relative to the reference position. For example, at the reference position, the pair of rollers may be in contact with each other or the distance between the rollers may be relatively small. Even in these cases, by pressing the pair of rollers against the skin and displacing the rollers from the reference position to widen the distance between the pair of rollers, it is possible to achieve a state in which the skin is sandwiched between the pair of rollers. This allows the cosmetic device to be applied to various parts of the body.
[0016] In order to further improve the feel of the cosmetic device when in use, the distance between the first roller and the second roller in the pair of rollers at the reference position is preferably 50 mm or less, more preferably 30 mm or less, even more preferably 20 mm or less, particularly preferably 18 mm or less, and most preferably 15 mm or less. Note that the "distance between the first roller and the second roller at the reference position" refers to the minimum distance between the area on the surface of the first roller that can come into contact with the user's skin and the area on the surface of the second roller that can come into contact with the user's skin when the cosmetic device is in use.
[0017] The distance between the first roller and the second roller at the reference position is preferably 1 mm or more, more preferably 3 mm or more, even more preferably 5 mm or more, and particularly preferably 7 mm or more. In this case, when the pair of rollers is pressed against the area where the cosmetic effect is desired, the area is naturally sandwiched to some extent between the rollers. This makes it easier for the user to sandwich the area where the cosmetic effect is desired between the rollers. This further improves the ease of use of the cosmetic device.
[0018] A preferred range of the distance between the first roller and the second roller at the reference positions can be configured by arbitrarily combining the above-mentioned upper and lower limits of this distance. For example, the preferred range of the distance between the first roller and the second roller at the reference positions may be 1 mm or more and 50 mm or less, 3 mm or more and 30 mm or less, 5 mm or more and 20 mm or less, 7 mm or more and 18 mm or less, or 7 mm or more and 15 mm or less.
[0019] The roller may have a variety of shapes, including spherical and cylindrical. Here, "spherical" includes a perfect sphere and shapes that are distorted from a perfect sphere to a degree that is generally recognized as a sphere, such as a spheroid and a teardrop shape. Furthermore, "cylindrical" includes not only cylinders and polygonal columns, but also cylinders with a hemisphere attached to the tip.
[0020] It is preferable that at least a portion of the roller has a spherical shape. Rollers having such shapes include, for example, rollers having an entirely spherical shape and rollers having a shape in which multiple spherical shapes are connected along a rotation center line. In this case, the pressing force of the rollers is more likely to be concentrated in the area sandwiched between the pair of rollers. This allows the pressing force felt by the user to be sufficiently large, thereby expecting better cosmetic effects. Furthermore, in this case, the user can more smoothly rotate the pair of rollers while pressing them against the skin. This further improves the ease of use of the cosmetic device. Furthermore, in this case, the pair of rollers more easily pinch the skin. This further improves the feel of using the cosmetic device. From the perspective of more reliably achieving such effects, it is more preferable that the entire roller has a spherical shape.
[0021] The roller may have a surface configured as a smoothly curved surface. For example, the roller may be a polyhedron having a surface configured from a large number of triangles, quadrangles, or the like. When the roller is a polyhedron, the roller surface is less likely to slip on the skin than when the roller has a surface configured as a smoothly curved surface. Therefore, a more excellent cosmetic effect can be expected.
[0022] The roller in the cosmetic device is rotatably held by the connection part. The roller may be held by the connection part so that its rotational center line passes through the center of gravity of the roller. Alternatively, the roller may be held by the connection part so that its rotational center line is deviated from the center of gravity of the roller. That is, the roller may be held by the connection part so that it rotates around its geometric center line, or it may be held by the connection part in an eccentric state.
[0023] The connecting part may have a rotating shaft that holds the roller. In this case, it is preferable that at least the tip of the rotating shaft is disposed inside the roller, and it is more preferable that the entire part of the rotating shaft that protrudes from the connecting part is disposed inside the roller. That is, it is preferable that the rotating shaft is disposed so that it does not penetrate the roller and the tip of the rotating shaft does not protrude outside the roller. In this way, by disposing the rotating shaft so that it does not penetrate the roller, it is possible to more easily prevent the skin from being caught between the rotating shaft and the roller, even when the angle between one rotating shaft and the other rotating shaft is relatively small.
[0024] The connecting portion is configured to apply a biasing force to the roller in a direction that returns the roller to the reference position when the roller is displaced from the reference position. The connecting portion is also configured to displace the roller in multiple directions from the reference position. Here, "displaceable in multiple directions from the reference position" means that the direction of displacement of the roller from the reference position includes a first direction and a second direction different from the first direction. That is, the connecting portion may be configured to displace each roller in two directions, a first direction and a second direction, from the reference position. Alternatively, the connecting portion may be configured to displace each roller in three or more directions, including a first direction, a second direction, and a direction different from these. Furthermore, the connecting portion may be configured to displace each roller in any direction along the radius of a circle centered at the reference position.
[0025] From the viewpoint of more reliably achieving the effect of adjusting the force that pinches the skin, it is preferable that the connection part be configured so that the pair of rollers can be displaced in multiple directions, including at least the direction in which the distance between them increases and the direction in which the cosmetic device moves back and forth.
[0026] The connecting portion is preferably configured to tilt the center line of rotation of the roller relative to the center line of rotation when the roller is in the reference position when the roller is displaced from the reference position. In this case, for example, when the pair of rollers are displaced from the reference position in a direction that widens the gap between them or in the direction of reciprocating movement of the cosmetic device, the connecting portion can change the positional relationship between the center line of rotation of the roller and the skin. By changing the positional relationship between the center line of rotation of the roller and the skin in this way, the force with which the pair of rollers pinch the skin can be more easily adjusted within an appropriate range. As a result, the cosmetic device can be used more comfortably.
[0027] The connecting portion may take various forms as long as it can displace the roller in the manner described above. For example, the connecting portion may have multiple springs that expand and contract in response to the displacement of the roller. In this case, the multiple springs may be arranged so that their expansion and contraction directions are different from each other. This allows the connecting portion to displace the roller in the manner described above. Furthermore, when the roller is displaced from the reference position, the connecting portion can apply a biasing force to the roller in a direction that returns it to the reference position.
[0028] Furthermore, the connecting portion may be configured to displace the roller in the manner described above by utilizing the elasticity of the material that makes up the connecting portion, and to apply a biasing force to the roller in a direction that returns it to its reference position when the roller is displaced from the reference position. In this case, the structure of the connecting portion can be further simplified.
[0029] From the viewpoint of further improving the usability of the cosmetic device, it is more preferable that the connection portion has a biasing portion made of resin and / or elastomer. In this case, the connection portion can utilize the deformation of the biasing portion to displace the roller in the manner described above. Furthermore, when the roller is displaced from the reference position, the connection portion can utilize the elasticity of the biasing portion to apply a biasing force to the roller in a direction returning it to the reference position. The biasing portion may be provided in a part of the connection portion. Alternatively, the entire connection portion may be made of the biasing portion. Furthermore, the biasing portion may be made of resin or elastomer. Furthermore, the biasing portion may be made of both resin and elastomer.
[0030] Examples of resins that can be used to form the biasing portion include polyolefin resins such as polypropylene-based resins, polyester resins, (meth)acrylic resins, urethane resins, and silicone resins. The elastomer that can be used to form the biasing portion may be natural rubber or a synthetic elastomer. Examples of synthetic elastomers that can be used include thermoplastic elastomers such as urethane-based thermoplastic elastomers and styrene-based thermoplastic elastomers, acrylonitrile-butadiene rubber, and silicone rubber.
[0031] The hardness of urethane-based thermoplastic elastomers can be easily adjusted to the desired value from a wide range. Therefore, when using urethane-based thermoplastic elastomers as the material for the biasing portion, the magnitude of the biasing force applied from the biasing portion to the roller can be easily adjusted. Furthermore, urethane-based thermoplastic elastomers are easy to color and have excellent oil resistance and abrasion resistance. Therefore, urethane-based thermoplastic elastomers are suitable as materials for the biasing portion of beauty devices.
[0032] Styrene-based thermoplastic elastomers have high rubber elasticity. Therefore, when a styrene-based thermoplastic elastomer is used as the material for the urging portion, the tensile strength of the urging portion can be further increased. Furthermore, urethane-based thermoplastic elastomers also have excellent weather resistance and water resistance, making them more suitable as materials for the urging portion of a beauty device. From the perspective of further improving the usability of the beauty device, it is preferable that the urging portion be made of an elastomer.
[0033] When the biasing portion is made of an elastomer, the magnitude of the biasing force applied to the roller by the biasing portion can also be adjusted by the durometer hardness of the elastomer. The durometer hardness of the elastomer is measured using a Type A durometer specified in JIS K6253-3:2012. For example, when the biasing portion is made of a styrene-based thermoplastic elastomer, the durometer hardness of the styrene-based thermoplastic elastomer constituting the biasing portion is preferably A40 or more and A90 or less, more preferably A50 or more and A80 or less, and even more preferably A60 or more and A75 or less. When the biasing portion is made of an elastomer other than a styrene-based thermoplastic elastomer, it is preferable to appropriately adjust the durometer hardness of the elastomer depending on the magnitude of the desired biasing force.
[0034] It is preferable that the biasing portion be held by the handle and that the handle have a higher rigidity than the biasing portion. In this case, the pressing force when the user presses the roller against the skin and the force when the user moves the cosmetic device back and forth are more easily transmitted to the roller. This can further improve the comfort of using the cosmetic device. From the same perspective, it is preferable that the biasing portion be held by the handle and that the handle be configured so that it does not substantially deform during use of the cosmetic device.
[0035] It is also preferable that the rollers are held by the biasing portion, which allows the user to more easily displace the pair of rollers, thereby further improving the user experience of the cosmetic device.
[0036] Preferably, the connecting portion is configured to apply a biasing force of 1.25 kgf or more and 1.75 kgf or less to the rollers when the rollers are displaced 3 mm from the reference position. In this case, when the user presses the pair of rollers against the skin and moves the cosmetic device back and forth, the rollers can be appropriately displaced and an appropriate biasing force can be applied to the rollers. As a result, the effect of adjusting the force for pinching the skin can be more reliably achieved.
[0037] The handle of the cosmetic device is preferably inclined relative to a plane including the rotational center line of the pair of rollers at the reference position. In this case, when the user presses the pair of rollers against the skin and positions the cosmetic device so that the handle is aligned with the skin surface, the plane including the pair of rotational center lines becomes inclined relative to the skin surface. Then, when the user moves the cosmetic device back and forth while maintaining this state, the pair of rollers can more easily pick up the skin. As a result, the cosmetic device can be more comfortably used and better cosmetic effects can be expected.
[0038] An embodiment of the cosmetic device will be described with reference to Figures 1 to 9. As shown in Figure 1, the cosmetic device 1 has a handle 2 that is held by a user, a connection part 3 held by the handle 2, and a pair of rollers 4 rotatably held by the connection part 3. As shown in Figures 8 and 9, the connection part 3 is configured to displace the rollers 4 in multiple directions from a reference position R. Furthermore, the connection part 3 is configured to bias the rollers 4 in a direction that returns the rollers 4 to the reference position R when the rollers 4 are displaced from the reference position R.
[0039] As shown in Figures 1, 3, and 5, the handle 2 of the cosmetic device 1 of this example has a rod-like shape. A connection portion 3 is provided at one longitudinal end of the handle 2. As shown in Figure 3, the connection portion 3 has a connection base 32 held by the handle 2 and two branch portions 33 protruding from the connection base 32. As shown in Figures 3 and 4, the two branch portions 33 are formed so that the distance between them increases as they become farther from the handle 2. Furthermore, as shown in Figure 5, the branch portions 33 extend in a direction oblique to the longitudinal direction of the handle 2. As shown in Figures 3 to 5, a roller 4 is rotatably attached to the tip of each branch portion 33.
[0040] In the following, the longitudinal direction of the handle 2 is referred to as the "longitudinal direction X," the direction from the handle 2 to the rollers 4 in the longitudinal direction X is referred to as the "forward X1," and the direction from the rollers 4 to the handle 2 is referred to as the "rearward X2." The direction in which the pair of rollers 4 are arranged is referred to as the "width direction Y." The direction perpendicular to both the longitudinal direction X and the width direction Y is referred to as the "vertical direction Z," the direction from the rollers 4 to the handle 2 in the vertical direction Z is referred to as the "upward Z1," and the direction from the handle 2 to the rollers 4 is referred to as the "downward Z2." All of these descriptions regarding the orientation of the cosmetic device 1 are for convenience and have no relation to the orientation of the cosmetic device 1 when actually used.
[0041] As shown in Figures 1 and 2, the handle 2 of the cosmetic device 1 of this example has an upper handle cover 21, a lower handle cover 23, and a handle base 22. The upper handle cover 21 forms the upper half of the outer wall of the handle 2. The lower handle cover 23 forms the lower half of the outer wall of the handle 2. The handle base 22 is held between the upper handle cover 21 and the lower handle cover 23. In this example, the upper handle cover 21, the lower handle cover 23, and the handle base 22 are all made of ABS resin. This provides the handle 2 with sufficient rigidity to prevent substantial deformation during use of the cosmetic device 1. In addition, a metal coating is formed on the outer surfaces of the upper handle cover 21 and the lower handle cover 23.
[0042] A lens 24 that focuses light is attached to the center of the upper handle cover 21. A ring 241 (see FIG. 2) is sandwiched between the lens 24 and the upper handle cover 21. This ring 241 prevents moisture and other contaminants from entering the interior of the handle 2 through the gap between the lens 24 and the upper handle cover 21.
[0043] A solar cell 25 is provided between the lens 24 and the handle base 22. A gasket 251 (see FIG. 2) is provided around the solar cell 25 between the upper handle cover 21 and the handle base 22. This gasket 251 prevents moisture and other contaminants from entering the interior of the handle 2 through the gap between the upper handle cover 21 and the handle base 22. More specifically, the solar cell 25 is housed in a cell housing portion 221 in the handle base 22 shown in FIG. 6. The gasket 251 is housed in a gasket retaining groove 222 provided around the cell housing portion 221, and is sandwiched between the handle base 22 and the upper handle cover 21.
[0044] The solar cell 25 is electrically connected to the pair of rollers 4 via a bus bar 34 (see FIG. 7 ), a rotation shaft 35, and a conductive bearing 36 (see FIG. 2 ), which will be described later. The solar cell 25 generates an electromotive force when light passes through the lens 24, and can create a potential difference between the pair of rollers 4. Therefore, in the beauty device 1, when the user touches the pair of rollers 4 to their skin while light is irradiating the solar cell 25, a weak current can be passed through a circular current path that includes the solar cell 25, the pair of rollers 4, and the user. By passing a weak current through the user's skin, further improved beauty effects can be expected.
[0045] As shown in Figures 2, 6, and 7, the connection portion 3 is disposed at the front X1 of the handle base 22 and is formed integrally with the handle base 22. As shown in Figure 7, a bus bar 34 is embedded in the connection portion 3. This bus bar 34 forms part of the current path between the solar cell 25 and the roller 4. One end 341 of the bus bar 34 extends to the lower Z2 of the handle base 22. This end 341 is electrically connected to the solar cell 25 (see Figure 2) housed above the handle base 22 at the upper Z1 via a current-carrying member (not shown). The other end 342 of the bus bar is electrically connected to the rotation shaft 35.
[0046] As shown in FIG. 1 , the connection portion 3 of this example is entirely composed of the biasing portion 31. More specifically, the entire connection portion 3 is composed of a styrene-based thermoplastic elastomer having a durometer hardness of A70. This durometer hardness is measured using a Type A durometer specified in JIS K6253-3:2012. The biasing portion 31 made of such an elastomer has lower rigidity than the handle 2. Furthermore, the biasing portion 31 of this example utilizes the elasticity of the elastomer to displace the roller 4 in either radial direction of a circle centered at the reference position.
[0047] As shown in Figures 8 and 9, the biasing portion 31 (i.e., the connection portion 3) of this example is configured to deform as a whole in response to the displacement of the roller 4. Furthermore, the biasing portion 31 (connection portion 3) is configured to apply a biasing force to the roller 4 in a direction returning to the reference position R by the elasticity of the biasing portion 31. The biasing portion 31 of this example is configured to apply a biasing force of 1.35 kgf to the roller 4 when the roller 4 is displaced by 3 mm from the reference position. Furthermore, the biasing portion 31 is configured to tilt the rotation center line C of the roller 4 with respect to the rotation center line Cr when the roller 4 is at the reference position R when the roller 4 is displaced from the reference position.
[0048] A metal coating is formed on the surface of the biasing portion 31. The metal coating may be formed by, for example, vapor-depositing a metal on the surface of the biasing portion 31.
[0049] 2, 6, and 7, a rotary shaft 35 for holding the rollers 4 is provided at the tip of the branch portion 33 of the connection portion 3. As shown in Fig. 2, a pair of rollers 4 is attached to each rotary shaft 35 via conductive bearings 36. In this way, the rollers 4 in this example are held by the connection portion 3 (i.e., the biasing portion 31).
[0050] The rotation shafts 35 provided on the branch portions 33 protrude in the extension direction of the branch portions 33. That is, as shown in Fig. 6, the rotation shafts 35 extend so that the spacing between them increases as they move forward in the X1 direction. Furthermore, as shown in Fig. 2, the rotation shafts 35 extend in a direction inclined obliquely downward Z2 with respect to the longitudinal direction of the handle 2. Furthermore, the tip of the rotation shaft 35 is disposed inside the roller 4. That is, the rotation shaft 35 does not pass through the roller 4.
[0051] The rollers 4 in this example are held in the connection part 3 so that the center line of the rotation shaft 35 coincides with the rotation center line C. Therefore, as shown in Figures 3 and 4, the pair of rollers 4 (4a, 4b) in the cosmetic device 1 of this example are arranged so that, when they are in the reference position, the rotation center line Ca of the first roller 4a and the rotation center line Cb of the second roller 4b become wider as they move away from the handle 2. Furthermore, as shown in Figure 5, the handle 2 of the cosmetic device 1 is tilted with respect to a plane containing the rotation center line C of the pair of rollers 4 in the reference position.
[0052] As shown in Fig. 1 and other figures, the roller 4 is a polyhedron with a surface composed of many triangles, and has a substantially spherical shape. The diameter of the roller 4 in this example, that is, the maximum diameter of the roller 4 in a plane perpendicular to the rotation center line C, is 40 mm. A metal coating is formed on the surface of the roller 4. The metal coating provided on the surface of the roller 4 is in contact with the conductive bearing 36. Therefore, this metal coating is electrically connected to the solar cell 25 via the conductive bearing 36, the rotation shaft 35, and the bus bar 34.
[0053] As shown in Figures 3 and 4, the pair of rollers 4 in the cosmetic device 1 of this example are arranged so as to be spaced apart from each other when in the reference position R. The distance between the first roller 4a and the second roller 4b in the reference position is specifically 9 mm. The rotational center line Ca of the first roller 4a and the rotational center line Cb of the second roller 4b are arranged so as to intersect at a position closer to the handle 2 than each roller 4. When the rollers 4 are in the reference position, the angle θ formed between the rotational center line Ca of the first roller 4a and the rotational center line Cb of the second roller 4b is 45°.
[0054] Next, an example of how to use the cosmetic device 1 of this embodiment will be described. When using the cosmetic device 1, the user first grasps the handle 2 and presses the pair of rollers 4 against the area where the cosmetic effect is desired. At this time, the user may adjust the force with which the rollers 4 are pressed against the skin as needed. For example, as shown in FIG. 8 , increasing the force with which the rollers 4 are pressed against the skin 5 causes the force applied to the biasing portion 31 to exceed the rigidity of the biasing portion 31. This causes the biasing portion 31 to deform and bend toward the rear X2. As a result, the rollers 4 are displaced outward in the width direction Y from the reference position R. Furthermore, the rotation center line C of the rollers 4 is tilted outward in the width direction Y with respect to the rotation center line Cr at the reference position R. As a result, the distance between the pair of rollers 4 can be increased from the distance at the reference position R.
[0055] The user then moves the cosmetic device 1 back and forth. This allows the user to press the skin with the pair of rollers 4. When the user holds the cosmetic device 1 with the longitudinal direction X of the handle 2 aligned with the skin and moves the cosmetic device 1 back and forth, the portion of the skin in contact with the rollers 4 is deformed as it is picked up by the pair of rollers 4 due to the rotation of the rollers 4. Furthermore, as the cosmetic device 1 moves back and forth, a force is applied to the rollers 4, and the biasing portion 31 deforms depending on the direction and magnitude of this force. For example, when the cosmetic device 1 is moved forward X1, the force applied to the rollers 4 toward the rear X2 may be greater than the rigidity of the biasing portion 31. In this case, as shown in FIG. 9 , the biasing portion 31 deforms so as to bend toward the rear X2. Furthermore, the roller 4 is displaced from the reference position R to the rear X2. As the roller 4 moves from the reference position R, the rotation center line C of the roller 4 tilts rearward relative to the rotation center line Cr at the reference position R. As a result, the positional relationship between the rotation center line C of the roller 4 and the skin changes, and the force with which the skin 5 is pinched up can be weakened appropriately.
[0056] Next, the effects of the cosmetic device 1 of this embodiment will be described. The cosmetic device 1 has a connection part 3 between the handle 2 and the rollers 4. The connection part 3 is configured to displace the rollers 4 in multiple directions from the reference position R. For example, the connection part 3 can displace the pair of rollers 4 in a direction that increases the distance between them. Alternatively, the connection part 3 can displace the pair of rollers 4 in a direction that follows the direction of reciprocating movement, for example, when the cosmetic device 1 is reciprocated. This allows the force with which the pair of rollers 4 pinch the skin to be easily adjusted, allowing the pair of rollers 4 to pinch the skin with an appropriate amount of force.
[0057] Furthermore, the connection part 3 is configured to bias the rollers 4 in a direction that causes the rollers 4 to return to the reference position R when the rollers 4 are displaced from the reference position R. Therefore, for example, when a pair of rollers 4 are displaced so that the distance between them increases, the connection part 3 can press the portion sandwiched between the rollers 4 with the biasing force. Therefore, it can be expected that a good cosmetic effect will be obtained when the user presses the rollers 4 of the cosmetic device 1 against their skin.
[0058] Furthermore, the connection portion 3 is configured so that, when the rollers 4 are displaced from the reference position R, the rotational center line C of the rollers 4 can be tilted relative to the rotational center line Cr when the rollers 4 are at the reference position R. Therefore, when the pair of rollers 4 are displaced from the reference position R in a direction that widens the gap between them (see FIG. 8 ) or in the direction of reciprocating movement of the cosmetic device 1 (see FIG. 9 ), the connection portion 3 can change the positional relationship between the rotational center line C of the rollers 4 and the skin 5. By changing the positional relationship between the rotational center line C of the rollers 4 and the skin 5 in this way, the force with which the pair of rollers 4 pinch the skin 5 can be more easily adjusted within an appropriate range. As a result, the feel of the cosmetic device 1 can be further improved.
[0059] Furthermore, the connection part 3 has a biasing part 31 made of elastomer. Therefore, in the cosmetic device 1, the connection part 3 can displace the roller 4 in the manner described above by utilizing the elasticity of the elastomer that constitutes the biasing part 31. Furthermore, when the roller 4 is displaced from the reference position R, the connection part 3 can apply a biasing force to the roller 4 in a direction that returns it to the reference position R by utilizing the elasticity of the biasing part 31. As a result, the structure of the biasing part 31 can be further simplified. Furthermore, by configuring the biasing part 31 from an elastomer, the usability of the cosmetic device 1 can be further improved.
[0060] Furthermore, the biasing portion 31 is held by the handle 2, and the handle 2 has a higher rigidity than the biasing portion 31. This makes it easier for the pressure exerted when the user presses the roller 4 against the skin and the force exerted when the user moves the cosmetic device 1 back and forth to be transmitted to the roller 4. As a result, the cosmetic device 1 is more comfortable to use.
[0061] Furthermore, the rollers 4 are held by the biasing portion 31. This makes it easier to displace the pair of rollers 4. This further improves the feel of using the cosmetic device 1.
[0062] The connection part 3 is configured to apply a biasing force of 1.25 kgf or more and 1.75 kgf or less to the rollers 4 when the rollers 4 are displaced 3 mm from the reference position R. Therefore, when the user presses the pair of rollers 4 against the skin and when the user moves the cosmetic device 1 back and forth, the rollers 4 can be appropriately displaced and an appropriate amount of biasing force can be applied to the rollers 4. As a result, the effect of adjusting the force with which the skin is pinched can be more reliably achieved.
[0063] Furthermore, the first roller 4a and the second roller 4b of the pair of rollers 4 are arranged such that, when they are in the reference position R, the rotational center line Ca of the first roller 4a and the rotational center line Cb of the second roller 4b intersect at a position closer to the handle 2 than each roller 4. Furthermore, the angle formed by the rotational center line Ca of the first roller 4a and the rotational center line Cb of the second roller 4b is greater than 0° and equal to or less than 120°. Therefore, when the user moves the cosmetic device 1 back and forth while pressing the pair of rollers 4 against the skin, the pair of rollers 4 can more easily pinch the skin.
[0064] The distance between the first roller 4a and the second roller 4b at the reference position R is 50 mm or less. This makes it easier to pinch the skin between the pair of rollers 4. Furthermore, the pair of rollers 4 can apply appropriate pressure to the skin and more easily pinch the skin. This further improves the feel of using the cosmetic device 1.
[0065] Furthermore, the rollers 4 have a spherical shape. This makes it easier for the pressure from the rollers 4 to be concentrated on the area sandwiched between the pair of rollers 4. This allows the pressure felt by the user to be sufficiently large, and therefore a better beauty effect can be expected. In addition, in this case, the user can more smoothly rotate the pair of rollers 4 while pressing them against the skin. This makes it possible to further improve the ease of use of the beauty device 1. Furthermore, in this case, the pair of rollers 4 makes it easier to pinch the skin. This makes it possible to further improve the usability of the beauty device 1.
[0066] The above describes the cosmetic device based on the examples. However, the specific aspects of the cosmetic device according to the present invention are not limited to the aspects shown in the examples and experimental examples. The aspects shown in the examples and experimental examples can be modified as appropriate within the scope of the present invention.
[0067] For example, in the example shown in the embodiment, the biasing portion is branched into a substantially Y-shape. In this regard, the shape of the biasing portion may take various forms other than the shape shown in the embodiment. For example, the tip of the biasing portion may protrude on both sides of the width direction Y of the cosmetic device. In this case, by erecting the rotation axis from the biasing portion toward the front X1 or diagonally forward, a cosmetic device that achieves the above-mentioned effects can be obtained.
[0068] In addition, in the example of the cosmetic device shown in the examples, the handle is inclined with respect to a plane including the rotational centerline of the two rollers. In this regard, the handle may be provided, for example, on a plane including the rotational centerline of the two rollers. In this case, for example, the user moves the cosmetic device back and forth with the handle inclined with respect to the skin in the area where the cosmetic effect is desired. This allows the above-mentioned effects to be achieved.
[0069] In the examples shown in the examples, the handle is made of a material different from the elastomer that makes up the biasing portion. However, the handle may be made of the same material as the elastomer that makes up the biasing portion. In this case, it is preferable to increase the rigidity of the handle by, for example, making the handle thicker than the biasing portion. This makes it easy to achieve the above-mentioned effects. Furthermore, for example, the handle may have a core made of elastomer and an outer shell. The outer shell is made of a material harder than the elastomer and covers at least a portion of the core. In this way, the rigidity of the handle can also be increased by providing the outer shell on the surface of the elastomer core.
[0070] Furthermore, the exemplary cosmetic device shown in the examples is configured to generate a potential difference between a pair of rollers using a solar cell. In this regard, the cosmetic device does not necessarily have to have a solar cell. Furthermore, the method of applying electrical stimulation to the user's skin is not limited to the method described in the examples. For example, the biasing unit may be provided with a piezoelectric element configured to generate an electromotive force in response to the displacement of the rollers, and the piezoelectric element and the rollers may be electrically connected. This allows the user to receive electrical stimulation in response to the displacement of the rollers.
[0071] In the examples shown in the embodiments, the roller is held on the rotation shaft. In this regard, the roller may be held directly on the tip of the connecting portion or the tip of the biasing portion, for example.
[0072] The maximum diameter of the rollers, the distance from the intersection of the rotational center line of the first roller and the rotational center line of the second roller to the tip of the roller, the distance between the pair of rollers at the reference position, and the angle between the rotational center lines are not limited to the embodiments and can be appropriately changed depending on the area to which the cosmetic device is applied. For example, the maximum diameter of the rollers may be 30 mm or more and 50 mm or less, the distance from the intersection of the rotational center line of the first roller and the rotational center line of the second roller to the tip of the roller may be 30 mm or more and 50 mm or less, the distance between the pair of rollers at the reference position may be 7 mm or more and 20 mm or less, and the angle between the rotational center lines of the rollers at the reference position may be 20° or more and 60° or less. In this case, the cosmetic device can be suitably used on relatively gently curved areas of the body, such as the arms, legs, and flanks. Furthermore, for example, the maximum diameter of the rollers may be 15 mm or more and 20 mm or less, the distance from the intersection of the rotation center line of the first roller and the rotation center line of the second roller to the tip of the roller may be 10 mm or more and 20 mm or less, the distance between the pair of rollers at the reference position may be 5 mm or more and 10 mm or less, and the angle between the rotation center lines of the rollers at the reference position may be 20° or more and 60° or less. In this case, the cosmetic device can be suitably used on areas of the body with fine irregularities, such as the face and hands.
[0073] The cosmetic device may have a light-emitting unit. The light-emitting unit is configured to change the color tone and / or intensity of the light emitted depending on the amount of displacement of the roller. In this case, the user can visually grasp the amount of displacement of the roller. This allows the user to easily adjust the force with which the roller is pressed against the skin. As a result, the usability of the cosmetic device can be further improved. The light-emitting unit may be, for example, a light-emitting diode.
[0074] The cosmetic device may have a communication unit. The communication unit may be configured to communicate with an external device. The communication unit may be configured to perform wired communication with the external device, or may be configured to perform wireless communication with the external device. The content of communication by the communication unit is not particularly limited. For example, the communication unit may be configured to transmit the number of times the cosmetic device has been used to the external device. In this case, the usage of the cosmetic device can be recorded in the external device and compared with the cosmetic effect. This makes it possible to easily verify the cosmetic effect.
