Description

Needle unit for a blood collection device and a blood collection device including the same

[0001] The present invention relates to a needle unit for a blood collection device and a blood collection device including the same.

[0002] A blood collection device or phlebotomy device has a needle unit that can be detached and removed after a single use.

[0003] The needle unit comprises a needle housing and a needle carrier that is axially movable and carries a needle. Therefore, when the needle unit is mounted on a blood collection device and fired using a striking means such as a trigger member, the needle pierces the skin.

[0004] However, conventional needle units can twist or vibrate during the firing process, which can increase pain when the needle is inserted or removed from the skin.

[0005] Accordingly, the purpose of the present invention is to prevent twisting or shaking of the needle unit during the firing process.

[0006] The present invention relates to a needle unit for a blood collection device, comprising: a tubular needle housing having at least one guide groove formed axially on an inner surface thereof; a carrier body that is slidable along the axial direction within the needle housing; a blood collection needle that is accommodated in the carrier body along the axial direction and has a portion exposed in the front end direction of the carrier body; and a needle carrier that extends radially from the carrier body and has a sliding portion accommodated in the guide groove.

[0007] Here, it is preferable that a catch is formed in the guide groove to prevent the sliding part from moving backward.

[0008] The carrier body has a column portion having a recessed shape along the circumferential direction, and it is preferable that the needle housing has an inner recessed portion on the inner surface thereof that is recessed and interlocked along the circumferential direction along at least a portion of the length of the column portion.

[0009] It is preferable to further include a bumper spring mounted on the tip of the carrier body so as to extend longer in the tip direction than the blood collection needle.

[0010] It is preferable to further include a return spring interposed between the needle housing and the carrier body to elastically push the sliding part backward.

[0011] According to the present invention having the above-described configuration, it is possible to prevent the needle unit from being twisted or shaken during the firing process.

[0035] Hereinafter, a needle unit for a blood collection device according to an embodiment of the present invention will be specifically described with reference to the attached drawings.

[0036] Referring to FIGS. 1 to 6, a needle unit (100) for a blood collection device according to an embodiment includes a needle housing (110) and a needle carrier (120).

[0037] The needle housing (110) is provided as a tubular body extending in the axial direction and has at least one guide groove (112a) formed in the axial direction on the inner surface. A space (114) for accommodating a needle carrier (120) is provided inside the needle housing (110).

[0038] The space portion (114) has a first inner diameter portion (114a) formed in the front end region of the needle housing (110), and a second inner diameter portion (114b) formed to extend in the rearward direction from the first inner diameter portion (114a) and having an inner diameter larger than the inner diameter of the first inner diameter portion (114a).

[0039] On the inner surface of the first inner diameter portion (114a), an inner diameter-concave portion (114c) is formed along the circumferential direction, which is in a convex-concave manner along the circumferential direction and engages with the column portion (122a) of the carrier body (122) along at least a portion of the length.

[0040] The inner diameter recessed portion (114c) is formed to extend in the axial direction so that its end is positioned in a portion of the second inner diameter portion (114b). As a result, a space of a predetermined interval is formed between the inner diameter recessed portion (114c) and the inner circumferential surface of the second inner diameter portion (114b).

[0041] And a return spring (116) is interposed in the space formed between the inner surface of the inner diameter-concave portion (114c) and the second inner diameter portion (114b). One end of the return spring (116) is supported by a step portion (113) formed at the boundary surface of the first inner diameter portion (114a) and the second inner diameter portion (114b), and the other end is supported by the sliding portion (126) of the carrier body (122), thereby elastically pushing the sliding portion (126) rearward.

[0042] A guide groove (112a) is formed on the inner surface of the second inner diameter portion (114b). A catch (112b) is formed in the guide groove (112a) to prevent the sliding portion (126) from moving backward.

[0043] The needle carrier (120) has a carrier body (122), a needle (124), and a sliding part (126).

[0044] The carrier body (122) is provided so as to be able to slide along the axial direction within the needle housing (110). In addition, the carrier body (122) has a column portion (122a) having a protruding shape along the circumferential direction, and the column portion (122a) is engaged with the inner protruding portion (114c) of the needle housing (110).

[0045] As described above, since the column part (122a) of the carrier body (122) is engaged with the inner concave-convex part (114c) of the needle housing (110) in a concave-convex manner, the carrier body (122) can be prevented from being twisted or moving laterally relative to the axial direction when sliding along the axial direction within the needle housing (110).

[0046] In addition, when removing the protective extension (123) from the carrier body (122), the carrier body (122) is prevented from rotating, so that the protective extension (123) can be easily removed from the carrier body (122).

[0047] A bumper spring (128) is mounted at the tip of the carrier body (122) so as to extend longer in the tip direction than the needle (124). One end of the bumper spring (128) is supported by a pillar (122a). This bumper spring (128) may be implemented as a wire spring or coil spring wound with a wire or coil, but is not limited thereto.

[0048] A bumper spring (128) is provided to surround the needle (124) and the protective extension (123) at the tip of the carrier body (122). This bumper spring (128) applies a preliminary shock to the skin and compresses it before the needle (124) comes into contact with or is inserted into the skin, thereby disturbing the tactile nerves around the blood collection point of the skin and blocking the pain nerves. As a result, the pain caused by the needle (124) when inserted into the skin can be alleviated.

[0049] In addition, the bumper spring (128) is compressed and stores elasticity upon contact with the skin. That is, when the tactile nerve disruption and pain nerve blockade are maintained, the needle (124) inserted into the skin is quickly removed from the skin by the elasticity stored in the bumper spring (128), so the time the needle (124) remains in contact with the skin is short, and thus after-pain can be reduced.

[0050] The needle (124) is accommodated along the axial direction of the carrier body (122) and a portion thereof is exposed in the direction of the tip of the carrier body (122).

[0051] A protective extension (123) is provided at the tip of the carrier body (122) to extend along the tip direction. The protective extension (123) is provided in a form that surrounds the needle (124) protruding from the tip of the carrier body (122), and hygienically protects the needle (124) by blocking its exposure. The protective extension (123) is for the protection of the sterilized needle (124), and for blood collection, the protective extension (123) must be removed from the carrier body (122).

[0052] The sliding portion (126) is formed to extend at least one radially from the carrier body (122) and is accommodated in the guide groove (112a). However, this is not limited to this, and it is also possible for a plurality of sliding portions (126) to be formed spaced apart from each other in the circumferential direction of the carrier body (122).

[0053] This sliding part (126) guides the carrier body (122) to slide without shaking in the axial direction inside the needle housing (110). In addition, the sliding part (126) is caught in the catch (112b) formed in the guide groove (112a) to prevent the carrier body (122) from being separated from the needle housing (110).

[0054] A rounded portion (126a) whose thickness gradually decreases toward the tip is formed in a portion of the outer surface of the sliding portion (126). The rounded portion (126a) enables the sliding portion (126) to easily pass over the catch (112b) when the carrier body (122) is inserted into the interior of the needle housing (110).

[0055] Fig. 7 is a perspective view of a blood collection device according to an embodiment of the present invention, and Fig. 8 is a longitudinal cross-sectional view of a blood collection device according to an embodiment of the present invention.

[0056] Referring to FIGS. 7 and 8, the blood collection device (10) according to the embodiment is composed of a needle unit (100) and a main body unit (200).

[0057] The needle unit (100) has been described above, so a detailed description will be omitted.

[0058] The main body unit (200) has a barrel (210), a ball member (220), and a striking drive unit (230).

[0059] The barrel (210) is composed of a barrel body (212) and a barrel socket (214) that is detachably connected to the tip of the barrel body (212).

[0060] The barrel body (212) is composed of a body portion (212a) in which a ball member (220) and a striking driving unit (230) are accommodated inside, and a handle portion (212b) that extends from the body portion (212a) and has an operating switch (212c) that applies an operating signal to the striking driving unit (230). This barrel body (212) has a structure that is divided in half so that it can be mutually combined and separated.

[0061] A socket connection part (213) is formed at the tip of the barrel body (212) to allow the barrel socket (214) to be detachably connected.

[0062] The barrel socket (214) is provided as a tubular body extending in the axial direction and has a front opening in which a needle unit (100) is received and mounted, and a rear opening that is coupled to the barrel body (212).

[0063] A guide slot (216) is formed in a portion of the barrel socket (214) to guide the engagement of the needle unit (100). The guide slot (216) is composed of a vertical slot (216a) formed along the axial direction and a horizontal slot (216b) formed in the circumferential direction from the vertical slot (216a).

[0064] In this guide slot (216), a catch (118) formed in the needle housing (110) is coupled when the needle unit (100) is accommodated and mounted in the tip opening.

[0065] The striking driving unit (230) causes the striker member (220) to strike the carrier body (122), and is composed of a solenoid driving bar (232) having a tip connected to the striker member (220) that strikes the carrier body (122), a solenoid driving unit (234) that drives the solenoid driving bar (232), a driving bar return spring (236) that is interposed between the rear end of the solenoid driving bar (232) and the solenoid driving unit (234) to elastically push the solenoid driving bar (232) toward the rear end, a control unit (238) that controls the solenoid driving unit (234), and a battery unit (239) that supplies power to the control unit (238) and the solenoid driving unit (234).

[0066] The solenoid drive bar (232) is arranged to penetrate the solenoid drive part (234). When the solenoid drive part (234) operates, the solenoid drive bar (232) causes the ball member (220) to strike the carrier body (122), and when the solenoid drive part (234) does not operate, the ball member (220) is returned by the drive bar return spring (236).

[0067] Meanwhile, the main body unit (200) further includes a vacuum unit (240). The vacuum unit (240) is used to remove air from the cup attached to the skin area where the needle (124) was inserted and then removed. Specifically, by forming a vacuum inside the cup, the cup allows the blood stasis inside the skin to be drawn out.

[0068] The vacuum unit (240) is installed at the rear end of the barrel body (212) and is composed of a valve connection (242) connected to a valve (not shown) formed on the upper side of the body (not shown) of the buoyancy cup (not shown), a vacuum pump (244) installed inside the barrel body (212) and having an air intake (244a) and an air exhaust port (244b), a connection hose (246) connecting the valve connection (242) and the air intake (244a), and a solenoid valve (248) installed at a predetermined position in the length direction of the connection hose (246).

[0069] Here, the vacuum pump (244) and the solenoid valve (248) are supplied with power from the battery unit (239) described above and are controlled by the control unit (238). The control unit (238) controls the vacuum pump (244) and the solenoid valve (248) based on the signal of the vacuum switch (212d) provided in the handle unit (212b).

[0070] When the user presses the vacuum switch (212d), the vacuum pump (244) operates to suck in the air inside the suction cup, thereby forming a vacuum inside the suction cup connected to the valve connection (242). At this time, the solenoid valve (248) is closed.

[0071] Conversely, when the user depressurizes the vacuum switch (212d), the operation of the vacuum pump (244) stops, the solenoid valve (248) opens, and the vacuum inside the valve connection (242) is released.

[0072] Although the embodiments of the present invention have been described with reference to the attached drawings, it will be understood by those skilled in the art that the present invention can be variously modified and changed within a scope that does not depart from the technical spirit of the present invention as described in the claims below.
