Description

water purifier

[0001] The present disclosure relates to a water purifier, and more particularly, to a water purifier having a washable filter.

[0002] Typically, a water purifier is a device that filters incoming water through one or more filters, providing clean water to the user. These filters filter out various contaminants, and these contaminants can accumulate inside the filter. This can reduce the filter's filtration performance or impede water flow, preventing the user from achieving the desired purified water volume. Furthermore, microorganisms introduced along with the contaminants can multiply using the organic matter within the filter as nutrients, causing unpleasant odors and impurities in the purified water. Replacing the filter with a new one is both inconvenient and expensive for the user.

[0003] One aspect of the present disclosure provides a water purifier comprising a filter including a wastewater path, wherein the filter is washable.

[0004] One aspect of the present disclosure provides a water purifier capable of cleaning a filter without disassembling the filter through control of components.

[0005] One aspect of the present disclosure provides a water purifier capable of selectively washing a filter with a short replacement cycle among a plurality of filters.

[0006] One aspect of the present disclosure provides a water purifier capable of washing a filter at a relatively high flow rate without passing through a resistance valve.

[0035] Fig. 1 is a drawing showing a water purifier according to one embodiment.

[0036] Referring to FIG. 1, a water purifier (1) may include a raw water passage (110) through which water flows in from the outside, a filter (200) provided to filter the water flowing in from the raw water passage (110), and a purified water passage (120) for discharging water that has passed through the filter (200) to the outside. Water flowing into the water purifier (1) from the outside may be referred to as raw water, and water filtered by the filter (200) may be referred to as purified water. However, hereinafter, raw water and purified water are referred to as water without distinction.

[0037] A filter (200) may be placed on the raw water path (110). A raw water valve (10) may be placed on the raw water path (110). The raw water valve (10) may be placed upstream of the filter (200). As the raw water valve (10) opens and closes, water in the raw water path (110) may or may not flow into the filter (200).

[0038] The water purification path (120) can be connected to the filter (200). Water that flows from the raw water path (110) into the filter (200) and is filtered by the filter (200) can flow into the water purification path (120). A water discharge valve (30) can be arranged on the water purification path (120). As the water discharge valve (30) opens and closes, water in the water purification path (120) can be discharged or not discharged outside the water purifier (1).

[0039] The raw water flow path (110) can be connected to the raw water inlet (200a) of the filter (200) to be described later. The purified water flow path (120) can be connected to the purified water outlet (200b) of the filter (200) to be described later.

[0040] The filter (200) may include a membrane filter (210), a pre-filter (220) positioned upstream from the membrane filter (210), and a post-filter (230) positioned downstream from the membrane filter (210).

[0041] The pre-filter (220) may include at least one of a sediment filter, a high turbidity filter, a carbon filter, a reverse osmosis filter, a micro filtration filter, a nano filtration filter, and similar filters, but is not limited thereto. The post-filter (230) may include at least one of a sediment filter, a high turbidity filter, a carbon filter, a reverse osmosis filter, a micro filtration filter, a nano filtration filter, and similar filters, but is not limited thereto.

[0042] According to one embodiment, the filter (200) may include a wastewater path therein. The wastewater path may refer to a path for discharging water that has entered the interior of the filter (200) but has not passed through the pre-filter (220), membrane filter (210), and post-filter (230) to the outside of the filter (200). The water in the wastewater path may be discharged to the outside of the filter (200) through a wastewater outlet (200c) of the filter (200), which will be described later.

[0043] The water purifier (1) may include a drainage channel (130) connected to the wastewater channel of the filter (200). The drainage channel (130) may be provided to discharge water discharged from the filter (200) through the wastewater channel to the outside of the water purifier (1).

[0044] The water purifier (1) may include a resistance valve (90) disposed on a drainage channel (130). The resistance valve (90) may be configured to reduce the flow rate of the drainage channel (130). The resistance valve (90) may have a passive configuration (see FIG. 5) that is not controlled by a control unit (300) to be described later, and may be configured to allow only a portion of the water upstream of the resistance valve (90) to pass downstream of the resistance valve (90). Therefore, the flow rate downstream of the resistance valve (90) may be relatively low.

[0045] The water purifier (1) may include a drain valve (20) arranged downstream of a resistance valve (90) on a drainage path (130). The drain valve (20) may be arranged between the connection point (101) of the raw water path and the first connection path and the resistance valve (90).

[0046] The water purifier (1) may include a first connecting passage (140) connecting the raw water passage (110) and the downstream side (133) of the resistance valve of the drain passage (130). A cleaning valve (50) may be arranged on the first connecting passage (140).

[0047] The water purifier (1) may include a second connecting passage (150) connecting the water purification passage (120) and the upstream side (131, 132) of the resistance valve of the drain passage. A tank (60) may be arranged on the second connecting passage (150). The tank (60) may be provided to store water that has passed through the filter (200).

[0048] According to the present disclosure, the tank (60) may be provided to store water for washing the filter (200). The tank (60) may not be provided to store water for drinking by a user. Although not illustrated in FIG. 1, the water purifier (1) may include a storage tank positioned downstream of the connection point (102) between the purified water passage and the second connection passage (150). The storage tank may be provided to store water for drinking by a user. In other words, although FIG. 1 illustrates a direct water purifier, it may also be provided as, for example, a tank-type water purifier.

[0049] The outlet valve (30) may be positioned downstream of the connection point (102) between the water purification flow path and the second connection flow path (150) on the water purification flow path (120). In other words, the outlet valve (30) may be positioned downstream of the branch point (102) of the second connection flow path of the water purification flow path (120).

[0050] The water purifier (1) may include a tank valve (40) positioned upstream of the tank (60) on the second connection path (150). The water purifier (1) may include a pump (70) positioned downstream of the tank (60) on the second connection path (150). The water purifier (1) may include a check valve (80) positioned downstream of the pump (70) on the second connection path (150).

[0051] The tank valve (40) can supply water to the tank (60) or block the water supply by opening and closing.

[0052] The pump (70) may be arranged to move water inside the tank (60) to the filter (200). The pump (70) may operate to pump water in the tank (60) and move it to the filter (200).

[0053] The check valve (80) can allow water discharged from the pump (70) to move to the downstream side of the check valve (80). The check valve (80) can block water in the drainage path (130) from moving to the upstream side of the check valve (80). Therefore, the check valve (80) can block water in the drainage path (130) from flowing into the pump (70) located on the upstream side of the check valve (80).

[0054] FIG. 2 is a drawing showing the flow of water in a water purifier when supplying purified water in a water purifier according to one embodiment.

[0055] Referring to Fig. 2, the flow of water in the water purifier (1) when supplying purified water is described.

[0056] Purified water supply may mean that water that has entered the filter (200) through the raw water path (110) is filtered by the filter (200) and then supplied to the user through the purified water path (120) and the outlet valve (30). This may be referred to as purified water supply mode.

[0057] When supplying purified water, the raw water valve (10) can be opened. As the raw water valve (10) is opened, water in the raw water path (111) on the upstream side of the raw water valve (10) can move to the raw water path (112) on the downstream side of the raw water valve (10) and flow into the filter (200). The cleaning valve (50) can be closed to prevent water from flowing into the first connection path (140).

[0058] Water passing through the filter (200) can be supplied to the user through the water outlet valve (30) via the purified water passage (120). The water outlet valve (30) can be opened so that water in the purified water passage (120) can pass through the water outlet valve (30). The tank valve (40) can be closed so that water does not flow into the second connection passage (150).

[0059] Water discharged through the wastewater path of the filter (200) to the drain path (130) can be discharged outside the water purifier (1). In this case, discharge outside the water purifier (1) does not mean supplying it to the user.

[0060] Water flowing into the drainage channel (131) through the wastewater channel can be discharged outside the water purifier (1) through the connection point (103) of the drainage channel and the second connection channel, the resistance valve (90), the drain valve (20), and the connection point (104) of the drainage channel and the first connection channel. The water flowing into the drainage channel (131) is prevented from flowing into the second connection channel (150) by the check valve (80). The drain valve (20) can be opened so that the water passing through the resistance valve (90) is discharged outside the water purifier (1) through the connection point (104) of the drainage channel and the first connection channel and through the downstream side of the drainage channel (134). As described above, since the cleaning valve (50) is closed, the water passing through the connection point (104) of the drainage channel and the first connection channel does not flow into the first connection channel (140).

[0061] FIG. 3 is a drawing showing the flow of water in a water purifier when supplying water to a tank in a water purifier according to one embodiment.

[0062] Referring to Fig. 3, the flow of water in the water purifier (1) when supplying water to the tank is described.

[0063] Supplying water to the tank may mean storing water inside the tank (60) through the purified water passage (120) and the second connection passage (150) after filtering water that has entered the filter (200) through the raw water passage (110) in the filter (200). When supplying water to the tank, residual water on the purified water passage (120) can be discharged, so that water supply to the tank and residual water discharge can be performed simultaneously. This may be referred to as a tank supply mode.

[0064] When supplying water to the tank, the raw water valve (10) can be opened.

[0065] Water passing through the filter (200) can flow into the second connection path (150) via the water purification path (120). The water discharge valve (30) can be closed to prevent water from being discharged outside the water purifier (1) through the water discharge valve (30). The tank valve (40) can be opened to allow water to flow into the second connection path (150).

[0066] Water discharged through the wastewater path of the filter (200) to the drain path (130) can be discharged outside the water purifier (1). Discharge outside the water purifier (1) does not mean supplying it to the user.

[0067] Water flowing into the drainage channel (131) through the wastewater channel can be discharged outside the water purifier (1) through the connection point (103) of the drainage channel and the second connection channel, the resistance valve (90), the drain valve (20), and the connection point (104) of the drainage channel and the first connection channel.

[0068] FIG. 4 is a drawing showing the flow of water in a water purifier when cleaning a filter according to one embodiment.

[0069] Referring to Fig. 4, the flow of water in the water purifier (1) when washing the filter is described.

[0070] According to one embodiment, filter washing may mean washing the filter (200) by allowing water stored in the tank (60) to flow in the reverse direction, and then discharging the filter (200) to the outside of the water purifier (1) through the raw water passage (110), the first connection passage (140), and the drain passage (130). When supplying purified water, water is supplied into the filter (200) through the raw water passage (110), but when washing the filter, water may be discharged to the outside of the filter (200) through the raw water passage (110). Therefore, this is called back washing. This may be referred to as a filter washing mode.

[0071] In one embodiment, the raw water valve (10) may be closed during filter washing, as the filter (200) is reversely washed using water stored in the tank (60).

[0072] The pump (70) can be operated to supply water inside the tank (60) to the filter (200). The water inside the tank (60) can be introduced into the filter (200) through the drainage path (130) via the check valve (80) and the connection point (103) between the drainage path and the second connection path by the pump (70). The drain valve (20) can be closed so that the water inside the tank (60) does not flow toward the resistance valve (90). Due to the resistance of the resistance valve (90) and the closing of the drain valve (20), the water inside the tank (60) can flow to the upstream side (131) of the drainage path (130) instead of flowing to the downstream side (132) of the drainage path (130).

[0073] As described later, when water flows into the filter (200) through the drainage path (130), it can flow into the filter (200) through the wastewater outlet (200c). The water flowing into the filter (200) can be discharged to the outside of the filter (200) through the raw water inlet (200a) after backwashing the filter (200).

[0074] Water discharged outside the filter (200) through the raw water inlet (200a) can flow into the raw water passage (110). Since the outlet valve (30) and the tank valve (40) are closed, the water discharged outside the filter (200) may not flow into the purified water passage (120). The water flowing into the raw water passage (110) can flow into the first connection passage (140) through the connection point (101) of the raw water passage and the first connection passage. Since the raw water valve (10) is closed, water does not flow to the upstream side (111) of the raw water passage. The cleaning valve (50) can be opened so that the water in the first connection passage (140) can flow into the drain passage (130). The water in the first connection channel (140) can be discharged outside the water purifier (1) through the connection point (104) of the drain channel and the first connection channel and the downstream side (134) of the drain channel (130). As described above, since the drain valve (20) is closed, the water in the first connection channel (140) may not flow toward the resistance valve (90) at the connection point (104) of the drain channel and the first connection channel.

[0075] Referring to FIGS. 2 and 4, the direction of movement of water flowing through the raw water path (110) during purified water supply and the direction of movement of water flowing through the raw water path (110) during filter cleaning may be opposite to each other. More specifically, the direction of movement of water flowing through the downstream side (112) of the raw water path (110) during purified water supply may be opposite to the direction of movement of water flowing through the downstream side (112) of the raw water path (110) during filter cleaning.

[0076] Referring to FIGS. 2 and 4, the direction of movement of water flowing through the drainage channel (130) when supplying purified water and the direction of movement of water flowing through the drainage channel (130) when cleaning the filter may be opposite to each other. More specifically, the direction of movement of water flowing through the upstream side (131) of the drainage channel (130) when supplying purified water may be opposite to the direction of movement of water flowing through the upstream side (131) of the drainage channel (130) when cleaning the filter.

[0095] Based on the control of the above-described control unit (300), the water stored in the tank (60) can be discharged to the outside of the water purifier (1) through the raw water passage (110), the first connection passage (140), and the drain passage (130) after backwashing the filter (200) through the second connection passage (150) and the drain passage (130).

[0096] FIG. 7 is a drawing illustrating the flow of water inside a filter when supplying purified water in a water purifier according to one embodiment.

[0097] Referring to Fig. 7, the structure of a filter (200) of a water purifier according to one embodiment will be described. In addition, the flow of water inside the filter (200) when supplying purified water will be described.

[0098] Referring to FIG. 7, a filter (200) according to one embodiment may include a plurality of filters (210, 220, 230). For example, the plurality of filters (210, 220, 230) may include a membrane filter (210), a pre-filter (220), and a post-filter (230).

[0099] The filter (200) may include a filter housing (201) configured to accommodate a plurality of filters (210, 220, 230) therein. According to one embodiment, the filter (200) may include an integrated filter that accommodates a plurality of filters (210, 220, 230), including a membrane filter (210), within one filter housing (201). However, the present invention is not limited thereto. The filter (200) may also include a membrane filter housing that accommodates the membrane filter (210), a pre-filter housing that accommodates the pre-filter (220), and a post-filter housing that accommodates the post-filter (230).

[0100] According to one embodiment, the filter (200) may include a filter case (202) provided inside a filter housing (201).

[0101] The filter case (202) may cover a portion of the plurality of filters (210, 220, 230) and may not cover the bottom of the plurality of filters (210, 220, 230). In addition, a space may be formed between the bottom surfaces of the plurality of filters (210, 220, 230) and the filter housing (201).

[0102] The filter case (202) may include an outer case (204) provided to surround the outer surfaces of a plurality of filters (210, 220, 230) and an upper case (203) provided on the upper ends of the plurality of filters (210, 220, 230). However, the present invention is not limited thereto. For example, the filter case (202) may be configured by adding members other than the outer case (204) and the upper case (203).

[0103] The filter case (202) can block the flow of fluid by covering the outer surface and the upper surface of the plurality of filters (210, 220, 230). The filter case (202) can prevent water filtered by the plurality of filters (210, 220, 230) from flowing out of the outer surface or the upper surface of the filter case (202), thereby minimizing or reducing the loss of flow rate.

[0104] The filter (200) may include a raw water inlet (200a) provided to allow water to flow in from a raw water path (110), a purified water outlet (200b) provided to discharge water that has passed through a plurality of filters (210, 220, 230), and a waste water outlet (200c) provided to discharge water from a waste water path (200f) inside the filter (200).

[0105] When supplying purified water, water from the raw water path (110) can flow into the filter (200) through the raw water inlet (200a). Water flowing into the filter (200) through the raw water inlet (200a) can flow into a plurality of filters (210, 220, 230) through the first path (200d).

[0106] Water in the first flow path (200d) can flow into the pre-filter (220). Water that does not pass through the pre-filter (220) can move to the bottom of the membrane filter (210) and flow into the bottom of the membrane filter (210). A portion of the water that passes through the pre-filter (220) can pass through the membrane filter (210) and flow into the post-filter (230) located inside the membrane filter (210). Water that does not pass through the membrane filter (210) can flow to the top of the membrane filter (210). A portion of the water that flows into the bottom of the membrane filter (210) can flow into the post-filter (230), and the remaining portion can flow to the top of the membrane filter (210).

[0107] The post filter (230) may be placed inside the purified water discharge pipe (206) located at the center of the filter (200). Water may flow into the post filter (230) inside the purified water discharge pipe (206) through the through hole (205) of the purified water discharge pipe (206). Water passing through the post filter (230) may be discharged to the outside of the filter (200) through the purified water outlet (200b) via the second flow path (200e).

[0108] Water that does not pass through the membrane filter (210) and moves to the top of the membrane filter (210) can be discharged to the outside of the filter (200) through the wastewater outlet (200c) via the third flow path (200f). The flow path from the bottom of the membrane filter (210) to the top of the membrane filter (210) and the third flow path (200f) may be collectively referred to as a wastewater flow path. The wastewater flow path may refer to a flow path that connects water that does not pass through the membrane filter (210) to the wastewater outlet (200c). The wastewater flow path may refer to a flow path for discharging water that does not pass through the membrane filter (210) among the water that flows into the filter (200) to the outside through the wastewater outlet (200c).

[0109] Water flowing into the membrane filter (210) from the pre-filter (220) or flowing into the bottom of the membrane filter (210) flows into the third channel (200f) through the top of the membrane filter (210), and can be discharged outside the filter (200) through the wastewater outlet (200c) via the third channel (200f).

[0110] FIG. 8 is a drawing illustrating the flow of water inside a filter when cleaning the filter in a water purifier according to one embodiment.

[0111] Referring to Fig. 8, when cleaning the filter, water from the drainage channel (130) can flow into the filter (200) through the wastewater outlet (200c). The direction of movement of water in the third channel (200f) when cleaning the filter can be opposite to the direction of movement of water in the third channel (200f) when supplying purified water. Hereinafter, the direction of movement of water opposite to the direction of movement of water when supplying purified water is referred to as the reverse direction.

[0112] Water flowing into the third channel (200f) through the wastewater outlet (200c) can flow into the upper part of the membrane filter (210). The water flowing into the upper part of the membrane filter (210) can wash the membrane filter (210). A portion of the water flowing into the upper part of the membrane filter (210) can flow into the pre-filter (220), and the remaining portion can move to the lower part of the membrane filter (210). The water flowing into the pre-filter (220) can wash the pre-filter (220). Water passing through the membrane filter (210) and the pre-filter (220) in the reverse direction can be discharged to the outside of the filter (200) through the raw water inlet (200a) via the first channel (200d).

[0113] As described above, when supplying purified water, water from the raw water path (110) can flow into the first path (200d) inside the filter (200) through the raw water inlet (200a). The water from the first path (200d) can pass through the pre-filter (220), the membrane filter (210), and the post-filter (230), and then pass through the second path (200e) to be discharged outside the filter (200) through the purified water outlet (200b), or move to the top of the membrane filter (210), pass through the third path (200f), and be discharged outside the filter (200) through the wastewater outlet (200c).

[0114] When cleaning the filter, water from the drainage path (130) can flow into the third path (200f) inside the filter (200) through the wastewater outlet (200c). The water from the third path (200f) can wash the membrane filter (210) and the pre-filter (220) by passing through the membrane filter (210) and the pre-filter (220) in the reverse direction. The water that has passed through the membrane filter (210) and the pre-filter (220) in the reverse direction can pass through the first path (200d) and be discharged to the outside of the filter (200) through the raw water inlet (200a).

[0115] Fig. 9 is a drawing showing a water purifier according to one embodiment.

[0116] Referring to FIG. 9, the water purifier (2) may include a raw water passage (410) through which water flows in from the outside, a filter (200) provided to filter the water flowing in from the raw water passage (410), and a purified water passage (420) for discharging water that has passed through the filter (200) to the outside. The water flowing in from the outside to the water purifier (2) may be referred to as raw water, and the water filtered by the filter (200) may be referred to as purified water. However, hereinafter, raw water and purified water are referred to as water without distinction.

[0117] A filter (200) may be placed on the raw water path (410). A raw water valve (10a) may be placed on the raw water path (410). The raw water valve (10a) may be placed upstream of the filter (200). As the raw water valve (10a) opens and closes, water in the raw water path (410) may or may not flow into the filter (200).

[0118] The raw water valve (10a) can be placed between the connection point (401) of the raw water flow path and the first connection flow path and the connection point (402) of the raw water flow path and the second connection flow path. The first connection flow path (440) and the second connection flow path (450) will be described later.

[0119] The water purification path (420) may be connected to the filter (200). Water flowing from the raw water path (410) into the filter (200) and filtered by the filter (200) may flow into the water purification path (420). A water discharge valve (60a) may be arranged on the water purification path (420). As the water discharge valve (60a) opens and closes, water in the water purification path (420) may or may not be discharged outside the water purifier (2).

[0120] The raw water flow path (410) can be connected to the raw water inlet (200a) of the above-described filter (200). The purified water flow path (120) can be connected to the purified water outlet (200b) of the above-described filter (200).

[0121] The filter (200) may include a membrane filter (210), a pre-filter (220) positioned upstream from the membrane filter (210), and a post-filter (230) positioned downstream from the membrane filter (210).

[0122] The pre-filter (220) may include at least one of a sediment filter, a high turbidity filter, a carbon filter, a reverse osmosis filter, a micro filtration filter, a nano filtration filter, and similar filters, but is not limited thereto. The post-filter (230) may include at least one of a sediment filter, a high turbidity filter, a carbon filter, a reverse osmosis filter, a micro filtration filter, a nano filtration filter, and similar filters, but is not limited thereto.

[0123] According to one embodiment, the filter (200) may include a wastewater path therein.

[0124] The water purifier (2) may include a drainage channel (430) connected to the wastewater channel of the filter (200). The drainage channel (430) may be provided to discharge water discharged from the filter (200) through the wastewater channel to the outside of the water purifier (2).

[0125] The water purifier (2) may include a resistance valve (70a) disposed on the drainage channel (430). The resistance valve (70a) may be configured to reduce the flow rate of the drainage channel (430). The resistance valve (70a) may be configured as a passive structure that is not controlled by the above-described control unit (300) and may be configured to allow only a portion of the water upstream of the resistance valve (70a) to pass downstream of the resistance valve (70a). Therefore, the flow rate downstream of the resistance valve (70a) may be relatively low.

[0126] The water purifier (2) may include a first drain valve (20a) disposed downstream of a resistance valve (70a) on a drainage path (430). The first drain valve (20a) may be disposed between a connection point (405) of the drainage path and the second connection path and the resistance valve (70a).

[0127] The water purifier (2) may include a first connecting passage (440) connecting the upstream side (431, 432) of the resistance valve of the raw water passage (410) and the drain passage (430). A first cleaning valve (40a) may be arranged on the first connecting passage (440).

[0128] The water purifier (2) may include a second connection path (450) that connects the raw water path (410) and the downstream side (433) of the drain valve (20a) of the drain path (430) by bypassing the first connection path (440). A second cleaning valve (50a) may be arranged on the second connection path (450).

[0129] The water purifier (2) may include a third connection path (460) connecting the water purification path (420) and the drain path (430) to a downstream side (434) of the connection point (405) of the drain path and the second connection path. A second drain valve (30a) may be arranged on the third connection path (460).

[0130] The outlet valve (60a) may be positioned downstream of the connection point (403) between the water purification flow path and the third connection flow path (460) on the water purification flow path (420). In other words, the outlet valve (60a) may be positioned downstream of the third connection flow path branch point (403) of the water purification flow path (420).

[0131] Although not illustrated in FIG. 9, the water purifier (2) may include a storage tank positioned downstream of the connection point (403) between the water purifier and the third connection channel (460). The storage tank may be provided to store drinking water for the user. In other words, although FIG. 9 illustrates a direct water purifier, it may alternatively be provided as a tank-type water purifier.

[0132] FIG. 10 is a drawing showing the flow of water in a water purifier when supplying purified water in a water purifier according to one embodiment.

[0133] Referring to Fig. 10, the flow of water in the water purifier (2) when supplying purified water is described.

[0134] Purified water supply may mean that water flowing into the filter (200) through the raw water path (410) is filtered by the filter (200) and then supplied to the user through the purified water path (420) and the outlet valve (60a). This may be referred to as purified water supply mode.

[0135] When supplying purified water, the raw water valve (10a) can be opened. As the raw water valve (10a) is opened, water in the raw water paths (411, 412) on the upstream side of the raw water valve (10a) can move to the raw water path (413) on the downstream side of the raw water valve (10a) and flow into the filter (200). The first washing valve (40a) can be closed so that water does not flow into the first connecting path (440). The second washing valve (50a) can be closed so that water does not flow into the second connecting path (450).

[0136] Water passing through the filter (200) can be supplied to the user through the water outlet valve (60a) via the purified water passage (420). The water outlet valve (60a) can be opened so that water in the purified water passage (420) can pass through the water outlet valve (60a). The second drain valve (30a) can be closed so that water does not flow into the third connection passage (460).

[0137] Water discharged through the wastewater path of the filter (200) to the drain path (430) can be discharged outside the water purifier (2). In this case, discharge outside the water purifier (2) does not mean supplying it to the user.

[0138] Water flowing into the upstream side (431) of the drainage channel (430) through the wastewater channel can be discharged outside the water purifier (2) by passing through the connection point (404) of the drainage channel and the first connection channel, the resistance valve (70a), the first drain valve (20a), and the connection point (405) of the drainage channel and the second connection channel. Water flowing into the upstream side (431) of the drainage channel (430) does not flow into the first connection channel (440) because the first washing valve (40a) is closed. The first drain valve (20a) can be opened so that water passing through the resistance valve (70a) can be discharged outside the water purifier (2) by passing through the first drain valve (20a). As described above, since the second washing valve (50a) is closed, water passing through the connection point (405) of the drain path and the second connection path does not flow into the second connection path (450). In addition, since the second drain valve (30a) is closed, water passing through the connection point (406) of the drain path and the third connection path does not flow into the third connection path (460). Therefore, water can be discharged outside the water purifier (2) through the downstream side (434) of the drain path (430).

[0139] FIG. 11 is a drawing showing the flow of water in a water purifier when discharging residual water according to one embodiment.

[0140] Referring to Fig. 11, the flow of water in the water purifier (2) when discharging residual water is described.

[0141] Residual water discharge may mean that water that has entered the filter (200) through the raw water path (410) is filtered by the filter (200) and then discharged to the outside of the water purifier (2) through the purified water path (420) and the third connection path (460). This may be referred to as a residual water discharge mode. This is to remove residual water remaining in the purified water path (420) by discharging residual water before supplying purified water.

[0142] When the residual water is discharged, the raw water valve (10a) can be opened. As the raw water valve (10a) is opened, water in the raw water path (411, 412) on the upstream side of the raw water valve (10a) can move to the raw water path (413) on the downstream side of the raw water valve (10a) and flow into the filter (200). The first washing valve (40a) can be closed so that water does not flow into the first connecting path (440). The second washing valve (50a) can be closed so that water does not flow into the second connecting path (450).

[0143] Water passing through the filter (200) can flow into the third connection channel (460) through the water purification channel (420). The water discharge valve (60a) can be closed so that the water in the water purification channel (420) is not discharged outside the water purifier (2) through the water discharge valve (60a). The second drain valve (30a) can be opened so that the water flows into the third connection channel (460). The water passing through the second drain valve (30a) can be discharged outside the water purifier (2) through the downstream side (434) of the drain channel (430). As described above, since the second washing valve (50a) is closed, the water passing through the second drain valve (30a) does not flow into the second connection channel (450). As described later, the first drain valve (20a) is opened, but water passing through the second drain valve (30a) does not flow to the upstream side (432, 431) of the drain path (430) due to the resistance valve (70a).

[0144] Water discharged through the wastewater path of the filter (200) to the drain path (430) can be discharged outside the water purifier (2). In this case, discharge outside the water purifier (2) does not mean supplying it to the user.

[0145] Water flowing into the upstream side (431) of the drainage channel (430) through the wastewater channel can be discharged outside the water purifier (2) by passing through the connection point (404) of the drainage channel and the first connection channel, the resistance valve (70a), the first drain valve (20a), and the connection point (405) of the drainage channel and the second connection channel. As described above, since the second washing valve (50a) is closed, water passing through the connection point (405) of the drain passage and the second connection passage does not flow into the second connection passage (450). As described above, although the second drain valve (30a) is open, water passing through the connection point (406) of the drain passage and the third connection passage does not flow into the third connection passage (460) due to the pressure of the water discharged through the second drain valve (30a). Therefore, it can be discharged outside the water purifier (2) through the downstream side (434) of the drain passage (430).

[0146] Fig. 12 is a drawing showing the flow of water in a water purifier when cleaning a filter according to one embodiment.

[0147] Referring to Fig. 12, the flow of water in the water purifier (2) when washing the filter is explained.

[0148] According to one embodiment, filter washing may mean washing the filter (200) by introducing water from the raw water path (410) in the reverse direction into the filter (200) through the first connection path (440) and the drain path (430), and then discharging the water to the outside of the water purifier (2) through the raw water path (110), the second connection path (450), and the drain path (430). When supplying purified water, water is supplied into the filter (200) through the raw water path (410), but when washing the filter, water may be discharged to the outside of the filter (200) through the raw water path (410). Therefore, this is called back washing. This may be referred to as a filter washing mode.

[0149] According to one embodiment, when cleaning the filter, the raw water valve (10) may be closed, and the first cleaning valve (40a) and the second cleaning valve (50a) may be opened. As the raw water valve (10) is closed and the first cleaning valve (40a) is opened, water in the upstream side (411) of the raw water path (410) may flow into the first connecting path (440). The water flowing into the first connecting path (440) may flow in the reverse direction into the filter (200) through the upstream side (431) of the drain path (430). The first drain valve (20a) may be closed so that water in the first connecting path (440) does not flow toward the resistance valve (70a) and the first drain valve (20a) of the drain path (430).

[0150] As described above, when water flows into the filter (200) through the drainage path (430), it can flow into the filter (200) through the wastewater outlet (200c). The water flowing into the filter (200) can be discharged to the outside of the filter (200) through the raw water inlet (200a) after backwashing the filter (200).

[0151] Water discharged outside the filter (200) through the raw water inlet (200a) can flow into the raw water passage (410). Since the outlet valve (60a) and the second drain valve (30a) are closed, water discharged outside the filter (200) may not flow into the purified water passage (420). Water flowing into the downstream side (413) of the raw water passage (110) can flow into the second connection passage (450) through the connection point (402) of the raw water passage and the second connection passage. This is because water does not flow to the upstream side (411, 412) of the raw water passage as the raw water valve (10) is closed. The second washing valve (50a) can be opened so that water in the second connection passage (450) can flow into the drain passage (430). The water in the second connection channel (450) can be discharged outside the water purifier (2) through the connection point (405) of the drain channel and the second connection channel, and the connection point (406) of the drain channel and the third connection channel.
