Abstract
Description
[0001] Description
[0002] Modular system with multiple fasteners
[0003] The invention relates to a modular system with multiple fasteners having the features of the preamble of claim 1. A "modular system" is understood to mean a collection of individual parts that can be combined to form different fasteners, or a collection of different fasteners composed of different individual parts, with different fasteners partially comprising identical individual parts. The fasteners are, for example, screws, especially self-tapping concrete screws, or anchors, in particular bolt anchors with an expansion sleeve, or anchor rods for chemical anchoring.
[0004] International patent application WO 2017 / 194 357 A1 discloses a self-tapping concrete screw consisting of two parts joined by spin welding. A front cutting part is made of a stainless martensitic steel, and a rear shank part is made of a different stainless steel. After spin welding, a thread is rolled onto the cutting part and the shank part so that the thread extends from the cutting part across a weld zone to the shank part without interruption or offset.
[0005] The published patent application DE 10 2008 061 544 A1 discloses a sleeve anchor comprising a screw, a support sleeve, an expansion sleeve, and a conical nut having an axial through-hole with an internal thread, with which it is screwed onto a screw thread of the screw, as is typical for sleeve anchors. The support sleeve and the expansion sleeve are arranged between a screw head and the expansion cone on a screw shaft, with the support sleeve located between the screw head and the expansion sleeve. By screwing the screw into the expansion cone, the expansion cone is drawn into the expansion sleeve, expanding the expansion sleeve, which has longitudinal slots for expansion. The support sleeve supports the expansion sleeve axially against the screw head during expansion. The object of the invention is to propose a modular system with several similar fasteners, which comprises various fasteners composed of a few different individual components of the modular system, with different fasteners partially comprising the same individual components of the modular system. "Similar" means that the fasteners of the modular system are all of the same type; for example, all fasteners in a modular system are concrete screws.
[0006] This object is achieved according to the invention by a modular system having the features of claim 1. The modular system according to the invention comprises several, i.e., at least two, different fasteners of the same type. "Same type" or "similar" here means that all fasteners in a modular system are of the same type; for example, all fasteners in a modular system are concrete screws. In particular, the modular system comprises exclusively screws, in particular concrete screws, or exclusively expansion anchors, in particular bolt anchors, or exclusively anchor rods, in particular anchor rods with specially shaped anchoring sections for fastening with chemical adhesives or composite mortars.
[0007] The fasteners are composed of individual parts of the modular system, whereby different fasteners have at least one identical individual part and at least one different individual part.
[0008] According to the invention, the fasteners can be anchored in an anchor hole in an anchor base, in particular by means of a positive fit, a frictional fit and / or a material fit. “Anchoring” here means fastening in the anchor hole in an anchor base, in particular in concrete. The positive fit is created, for example, in the case of a screw with a self-tapping thread, by the thread of the screw engaging a mating thread, which cuts the thread of the screw into the anchor base when it is screwed into the anchor hole. For example, in an expansion anchor, an expansion sleeve is expanded and held in the anchor hole by friction in the anchor hole, i.e. by means of a frictional fit, and / or by engaging behind an undercut in the anchor hole, i.e. by means of a positive fit. Material-fit anchoring can be achieved, for example, using composite mortar or adhesives with which a fastener is glued into the anchor hole as a “chemical anchor”.
[0009] Each fastener of the modular system according to the invention comprises a shaft, a connecting structure, and an anchoring section, wherein the anchoring section is provided and configured for positive and / or non-positive fastening, i.e., anchoring in the anchor hole. Thus, the anchoring section comprises, for example, a thread, in particular a self-tapping thread, or, for example, an expansion sleeve or anchoring cones. If a screw has a specially designed cutting section for cutting a counter-thread into the wall of the anchor hole, this cutting section is part of the anchoring section.
[0010] The anchoring section is arranged as an extension of the shaft; in particular, the anchoring section and the shaft are coaxial. The connecting structure is located between the anchoring section and the shaft and connects the anchoring section to the shaft in a rotationally fixed and tensile-resistant manner; in particular, the anchoring section and the shaft are rigidly connected to each other.
[0011] The various fasteners of the modular system according to the invention have different shanks, in particular shanks of different lengths, and preferably identical anchoring sections. The modular system according to the invention has fasteners of the same type, but different, in particular of different lengths, which differ in particular in the length of their shanks, whereas the anchoring sections consist in particular of identical individual parts.
[0012] The end of the shaft facing the anchoring section will also be referred to here as the front end of the shaft.
[0013] The dependent claims relate to advantageous embodiments and further developments of the invention defined in claim 1.
[0014] One embodiment of the invention provides that the anchoring sections form a front end of the fasteners, which means that the fasteners end at a front end of the anchoring sections remote from the shaft, wherein the front end of the anchoring section is also a front end of the fastener.
[0015] One embodiment of the invention provides that the fastener shanks do not have any retaining means for a tensile hold in the anchor hole. This means that the shanks are not designed for anchoring in the anchor hole. For example, they do not have a thread, or at least no thread that engages a peripheral wall of the anchor hole or a hardening compound with which the fastener is anchored in the anchor hole when the fastener is inserted into the anchor hole. Preferably, the fasteners of the modular system according to the invention have a fastening section at a rear end of the shank or fastener, remote from the front end of the shank. The fastening section serves to fasten a component or object, referred to here as an attachment, to the fastening element or to fasten the attachment element by fastening it to the anchor base and has, for example, a machine thread for screwing on a nut or a screw head. The fastening section at the rear end of the shaft or of the fastening element is particularly an extension of the shaft and is connected in a rotationally and tensile-resistant manner, in particular rigidly, to the rear end of the shaft.
[0016] In embodiments of the invention, the shafts and anchoring sections of the fasteners can be made of the same material and have the same material properties. Other embodiments of the invention provide shafts and anchoring sections made of different materials, for example, different steel grades, or at least with different material properties such as hardness, wear resistance, friction behavior, plastic and / or elastic deformability.
[0017] In embodiments of the invention, the shaft and the anchoring section and, if present, also the fastening section are joined by forming or bonded, in particular welded.
[0018] One embodiment of the invention provides for concrete screws as fasteners for the modular system. In this case, the anchoring sections have self-tapping threads that, when the fastener is screwed into an anchor hole in the concrete used as the anchor base, cut a counter-thread into a peripheral wall of the anchor hole.
[0019] Another embodiment of the invention provides anchors as fasteners whose anchoring sections can be anchored in the anchor base by positive locking and / or frictional locking, i.e., can be secured in the anchor holes at least tensile-resistant against pull-out by positive locking and / or frictional locking. The anchoring sections of the anchors preferably do not have a thread, but in particular expansion sleeves, in particular one expansion sleeve per anchor of a modular system. The anchors can be designed as bolt anchors, with an anchoring section that comprises an expansion cone on which the expansion sleeve is arranged and that is immovably connected to the shaft, in particular integrally connected to the shaft. The expansion sleeve can be expanded for anchoring by positive locking and / or frictional locking in an anchor hole. For this purpose, the expansion cone is moved together with the shaft relative to the expansion sleeve, drawn into it, and thereby expanding the expansion sleeve.
[0020] Chemical anchoring involves an anchor with one or more truncated pyramid-shaped or truncated cone-shaped anchor sections arranged coaxially one behind the other in the anchoring section. The anchor section(s) expand radially toward the front, i.e., with increasing distance from the shaft. "Chemical anchoring" means anchoring the anchor or its anchoring section in the anchor hole with a hardening compound such as an adhesive, synthetic resin, or mortar.
[0021] The features and combinations of features, embodiments and configurations of the invention mentioned above in the description, as well as the features and combinations of features mentioned below in the description of the figures and / or drawn in a figure can be used not only in the respective combination specified or drawn, but also in principle any other combinations or individually. Embodiments of the invention are possible which do not have all the features of a dependent claim. Individual features of a claim can also be replaced by other disclosed features or combinations of features. Embodiments of the invention which do not have all the features of the embodiment(s), but basically any part of the identified features of an embodiment, optionally in combination with one, several or all features of one or more further embodiments, are possible.
[0022] The invention is explained in more detail below using an exemplary embodiment illustrated in the drawing. In the drawings:
[0023] Figure 1 shows a first concrete screw as a fastener of a modular system according to the invention;
[0024] Figure 2 shows a second concrete screw of the modular system from Figure 1;
[0025] Figure 3 shows a bolt anchor as a fastener of a modular system according to the invention; and Figure 4 shows an anchor for chemical anchoring as a fastener of a modular system according to the invention.
[0026] In principle, identical parts in the figures are provided with identical reference numbers.
[0027] The self-tapping concrete screw 1 according to the invention shown in Figure 1 forms a fastener 2 of a modular system according to the invention which has various concrete screws 1 as fasteners 2.
[0028] The concrete screw 1 has a cylindrical, threadless shaft 3, an anchoring section 4 at one end, and a fastening section 5 at another end of the shaft 3. The end with the anchoring section 4 will be referred to hereinafter as the front end, and the end with the fastening section 5 as the rear end of the concrete screw 1. In the exemplary embodiment, the anchoring section 4 simultaneously forms a front end of the concrete screw 1, and the fastening section 5 simultaneously forms a rear end of the concrete screw 1. This means that the concrete screw 1, which forms a fastener 2 of the modular system according to the invention, ends at the front with the anchoring section 4 and at the rear with the fastening section 5.
[0029] The shaft 3, the anchoring section 4 and the fastening section 5 are arranged coaxially one behind the other with the shaft 3 between the anchoring section 4 and the fastening section 5 and are connected to one another in a rotationally fixed and tensile manner, rigidly in the exemplary embodiment.
[0030] The anchoring section 4 serves for fastening in a not-shown, particularly cylindrical, anchor hole in a mineral anchor base such as concrete by means of a positive fit—in the case of the concrete screw 1 as fastener 2. The fastening in the anchor hole can also be considered anchoring.
[0031] The anchoring section 4 has a - in the exemplary embodiment - cylindrical thread core 6 and a thread 7 that is self-tapping in concrete. "Self-tapping in concrete" means that when the concrete screw 1 is screwed into an anchor hole in concrete, the thread 7 cuts a counter thread into the concrete. For this purpose, at least a front section of the thread 7 has a hardness that enables cutting into concrete. This part forms a cutting section of the thread 7. In the exemplary embodiment, the anchoring section 4 consists of a hardened steel or, at least in the area of the cutting section of the thread 7, a surface-hardened steel. It is also possible to manufacture the anchoring section 4 or the thread 7 from hard metal or a high-alloy steel. The invention does not exclude other materials.
[0032] The shaft 3 and the fastening section 5 are made of steel, in the exemplary embodiment of a stainless steel, although other materials and / or different materials for the shaft 3 and the fastening section 5 are possible.
[0033] In the exemplary embodiment, the shaft 3, the anchoring section 4, and the fastening section 5 are welded, for example, by laser welding, i.e., they are rigidly and firmly connected to one another. The welding creates connecting structures 8 between the shaft 3 and the anchoring section 4 at the front end of the shaft 3 and between the fastening section 5 and the shaft 3 at the rear end of the shaft 3. The connecting structures 8 differ in material from the shaft 3, the connecting section 4, and the fastening section 5, which can be seen, for example, in a material cross-section.
[0034] A rigid or at least rotationally fixed and tensile-resistant connection of the shaft 3 with the anchoring section 4 and with the fastening section 5 is also possible, for example, by joining (not shown), which is explained further below with reference to Figure 3.
[0035] The fastening section 5 has a screw head 9, in Figure 1 a hexagon head at a rear end remote from the shaft 3, which is at the same time a rear end of the concrete screw 1 or the fastener 2.
[0036] The modular system according to the invention comprises various concrete screws 1 or fasteners 2, which in the exemplary embodiment have shafts 3 of different lengths and are therefore of different lengths. The different shaft lengths are represented in the drawing by a wavy double line.
[0037] The anchoring sections 3 of all concrete screws 1 or fasteners 2 belonging to the modular system are identical in terms of material, material properties and dimensions.
[0038] In the exemplary embodiment of the invention, the modular system has two different fastening sections 5, namely the fastening section 5 shown in Figure 1 with the hexagon screw head 9 and a fastening section 5 shown in Figure 2 with a countersunk head as the screw head 9.
[0039] With the exception of the different shape of the screw head 9, the concrete screw 1 shown in Figure 2 corresponds to the concrete screw 1 shown in Figure 1 and described above. Both concrete screws 1 form fasteners 2 and belong to the same modular system, which includes concrete screws 1 and fasteners 2 with shafts 3 of different lengths and different lengths, identical anchoring sections 4 and fastening sections 5, optionally with a hexagonal or a countersunk head as the screw head 9.
[0040] Figure 3 shows an anchor 10 designed as a bolt anchor as a fastener 2 of another, further, or second modular system according to the invention. The anchor 10 has a shaft 3 with an anchoring section 4 at a front end and a fastening section 5 at a rear end of the shaft 3.
[0041] The anchoring section 4 has an expansion body 11 - in the exemplary embodiment frustoconical - which is arranged coaxially with the shaft 3 at its front end and widens radially towards its front end remote from the shaft 3, which is also a front end of the fastener 2 or the anchor 10.
[0042] Furthermore, the anchor 10 has an expansion sleeve 12, which is arranged axially displaceably on the shaft 3 and is here assigned to the anchoring section 4. For expansion, the expansion sleeve 12 is provided with longitudinal slots 13, which are open at a front end of the expansion sleeve 12 facing the expansion body 11 and extend, for example, over approximately four-fifths of an axial length of the expansion sleeve 12 and divide the expansion sleeve 12 into cylindrical shell-shaped expansion tabs 14. By pulling the conical expansion body 11 into the expansion sleeve 12, the expansion tabs 14 can be pressed radially apart, i.e., spread open, and in this way the anchor 10 can be fastened in an anchor hole (not shown), which is referred to here as anchoring. For expansion, the anchoring section 4 with the expansion body 11 is displaced together with the shaft 3.Anchoring occurs through friction between the expanded expansion tabs 14 of the expansion sleeve 12, which are pressed against the wall of the anchor hole, and the hole wall, i.e., through frictional engagement and / or through the expanded expansion tabs 14 engaging a conical widening or undercut in the anchor hole, i.e., through positive engagement. Due to its expandable expansion sleeve 12, the anchor 10 can also be referred to as an expansion anchor. The expansion sleeve 12 is shown in a half-section.
[0043] The shaft of the anchor 10 from Figure 3 can, as in Figures 1 and 2, be materially connected to the anchoring section 4 and the fastening section 5, for example by welding, in particular by forming connecting structures 8. In the exemplary embodiment, the shaft 3 is joined to the anchoring section 4 and the fastening section 5 by forming. For this purpose, the shaft 3 has a pin 15 projecting axially from one end, which is inserted into a countersink in a facing end of the anchoring section 4 or the fastening section 5 and is axially compressed, whereby the pin 15 widens into a mushroom shape and rigidly connects the shaft 3 to the anchoring section 4 or the fastening section 5 by form fit and friction fit. In Figure 3, the originally cylindrical, mushroom-shaped compressed pins 15 are shown with dashed lines.Conversely, the anchoring section 4 or the fastening section 5 can also have the pin 15 and the shaft 3 the countersink. It is also possible for the shaft 3 to be connected to the anchoring section 4 by a material bond and to the fastening section 5 by joining, or vice versa. The sections of the anchor 10 comprising the pins 15 and countersinks form geometric connecting structures of the anchor 10 for the rigid connection of the shaft 3 to the anchoring section 4 and the fastening section 5.
[0044] The joining of shaft parts of a concrete screw is disclosed in the international patent application WO 2017 / 032 423 A1 , which is referred to with regard to the joining.
[0045] The modular system according to the invention has shafts 3 of different lengths for its anchors 10 and thus anchors 10 of different lengths, which do not differ from one another in the anchoring section 4. The anchors 10 of the modular system thus have different shafts 4 and identical anchoring sections 3.
[0046] In the modular system shown in Figure 3, the fastening sections 5 do not have a head, but rather, as is usual with bolt anchors, a machine thread 16 for fastening a component (not shown) with a nut 17. A machine thread 16 is a standardized thread, in particular a metric ISO thread, suitable and designed for screwing on a nut 17. In the exemplary embodiment, all fasteners 2 or anchors 10 of the modular system have the same anchoring section 4 and the same fastening section 5, although variants are also conceivable here.
[0047] Figure 4 shows an anchor rod 18 for chemical anchoring as anchor 10 or as fastener 2 of a fastening system according to the invention. "Chemical anchoring" means that the anchor 10 is secured, i.e., anchored, in an anchor hole with a hardening compound, for example, an adhesive, a resin, or a mortar.
[0048] The anchoring section 4 of the anchor 10 from Figure 4 has several, in this embodiment three, frustoconical anchor sections 19, which are arranged coaxially one behind the other and which widen radially towards a front end of the anchor 10, i.e., with increasing distance from a shaft 3. The anchor sections 19 can be connected to one another in one piece, or, as can be seen in Figures 1 to 3, the shaft 3 can be connected to the anchoring section 4 and the fastening section 5 in a materially bonded manner, for example by welding or in a force-fitting and / or form-fitting manner by forming and joining. The connection of the frustoconical anchor sections 19 has the advantage over the one-piece design that a number of anchor sections 19 of the anchors 10 forming the fasteners 2 of the modular system can be selected.
[0049] In Figure 4, the shaft 3 of the anchor 10 is rigidly connected to the anchoring section 4 and a fastening section 5 in a materially bonded manner, for example by welding or in a force-fitting and / or form-fitting manner, for example by forming and joining, as in Figures 1 to 3.
[0050] In Figure 4, as in Figure 3, the fastening section 5 has a machine thread 16 for fastening an attachment part (not shown) by screwing on a nut 17.
[0051] For chemical anchoring of the anchor 10 in an anchor hole (not shown), the hardening compound and then the anchor 10 are introduced into the anchor hole with its front end first, preferably while rotating. Upon insertion into the anchor hole, the anchor 10 pushes the hardening compound to a bottom of the anchor hole and displaces the hardening compound up to an opening of the anchor hole into an annular gap surrounding the anchor 10 in the anchor hole. The rotation distributes the hardening compound in a circumferential direction around the anchor 10 and, if necessary, mixes components of the hardening compound. After hardening, the compound anchors the anchor 10 in the anchor hole.
[0052] As in Figures 1 to 3, in Figure 4, by using shafts 3 of different lengths of the modular system according to the invention, anchors 10 or fasteners 2 or anchor rods 18 of different lengths can be produced and, if necessary, the number of frustoconical anchor sections 19 can be selected.
