[0026] In order to make the purpose, technical solutions and advantages of the present application more apparent, the following is a detailed description of example embodiments of the present application with reference to the accompanying drawings. [0027] In the following description, a large number of specific details are provided to provide a more thorough understanding of the present application. However, it will be apparent to those skilled in the art that the present application can be implemented without one or more of these details. In other examples, some technical features well known in the art are not described in order to avoid confusion with the present application.
[0028] It should be understood that the present application can be implemented in different forms and should not be interpreted as being limited to the embodiments set forth herein. On the contrary, providing these embodiments will make the disclosure thorough and complete and will fully convey the scope of the present application to those skilled in the art.
[0029] In order to fully understand the present application, a detailed structure will be provided in the following description to illustrate the technical solution proposed by the present application. The optional embodiments of the present application are described in detail below. However, in addition to these detailed descriptions, the present application may also have other implementation methods.
[0030] The following describes some embodiments of the present application in detail with reference to the accompanying drawings. In the absence of conflict, the following embodiments and features therein may be combined with each other.
[0031] An embodiment of the present application provides a battery pack. Referring to Figures 1 and 4 to 6, the battery pack 62 includes: a first shell structure 21, a battery cell group 20 and an electronic control assembly 30; wherein, the first shell structure 21 has a first accommodating cavity 22; the battery cell group 20 is arranged in the first accommodating cavity 22; the electronic control assembly 30 is arranged in the first accommodating cavity 22 and is located on the periphery of the battery cell group 20; the electronic control assembly 30 includes a battery management system 351, a power distribution unit 352, a battery energy distribution unit 353, an on-board charger 354 and a DC-DC converter 355, and also includes at least one controller among a compressor controller 357, a vehicle controller 358 and a motor controller 359.
[0032] In the above-described solution, by arranging both the electronic control assembly 30 and the battery pack 20 within the first housing structure 21, and by including not only the battery management system 351, power distribution unit 352, battery energy distribution unit 353, onboard charger 354, and DC-DC converter 355 related to the management of the battery pack 20, but also at least one of the compressor controller 357, vehicle controller 358, and motor controller 359 related to other control functions within the electric vehicle 60, the number of integrated components within the first housing structure 21 is increased, thereby improving the integration of the battery system and the electronic control assembly 30. Each of the above-described structures is described in detail below with reference to the accompanying drawings.
[0033] When setting the first shell structure 21, referring to Figures 1 and 4 to 6, the first shell structure 21 serves as a accommodating structure for integrating the battery cell group 20 and various components. It has a first accommodating cavity 22, which can accommodate the battery cell group 20 and various components in the first accommodating cavity 22 to achieve integration of the battery cell group 20 and various components.
[0034] For example, referring to Figures 1 and 2 to 6, the first housing structure 21 may include a tray 11 and a cover 10. The tray 11 serves as a support structure for the battery cell assembly 20 and various components. It may be a plate structure. In use, the tray 11 can be directly mounted on the chassis of the electric vehicle 60. The cover 10 includes a cover plate 12 and side panels 13 connected to the edges of the cover plate 12. When the cover 10 is snapped onto the tray 11, the cover plate 12, side panels 13, and tray 11 together form a first accommodating cavity 22. Specifically, the cover 10, serving as a housing for protecting the battery cell assembly 20 and various integrated components, may include a cover plate 12 with a large surface area. The cover plate 12 is positioned opposite the tray 11, and the side panels 13 are connected to the edges of the cover plate 12. When the cover 10 is snapped onto the tray 11, the side panels 13 can separate the cover plate 12 from the tray 11, thereby forming the first accommodating cavity 22 between the cover plate 12 and the tray 11. It should be understood that the above is only an exemplary way of arranging the first shell structure 21 , and other arranging ways may also be adopted.
[0035] When the battery cell group 20 is disposed in the first accommodating cavity 22, a variety of methods can be used. For example, with reference to FIG1 , the battery cell group 20 can be integrated into the first shell structure 21 using an integration method such as, but not limited to, CTP or CTB, to improve the energy density of the battery cell group 20. For example, when the battery cell group 20 is integrated into the first shell structure 21 using the CTP method, the battery cell group 20 can include a plurality of battery cells, each of which can be, for example, but not limited to, a blade battery cell. The plurality of battery cells are sequentially arranged on the tray 11 in a direction perpendicular to the length direction of the battery cells, and each battery cell can be fixed to the tray 11 using methods such as, but not limited to, gluing, clamping, screw fastening, etc.
[0036] When configuring the electronic control assembly 30, referring to Figures 1, 4, and 5, the electronic control assembly 30 includes not only a battery management system 351, a power distribution unit 352, a battery energy distribution unit 353, an onboard charger 354, and a DC-DC converter 355, which are related to energy distribution, management, and charging and discharging of the battery pack 20. Furthermore, the electronic control assembly 30 may also include at least one of a compressor controller 357, a vehicle controller 358, and a motor controller 359. These controllers are not directly related to the battery pack 20, but can be powered by the battery pack 20.
[0037] For example, referring to Figures 1 and 4 to 5, the electronic control assembly 30 may include all controllers among the compressor controller 357, the vehicle controller 358 and the motor controller 359, that is, the compressor controller 357, the vehicle controller 358 and the motor controller 359 are all integrated in the first shell structure 21 to increase the number of components integrated in the first shell structure 21 and improve the integration of the electronic control assembly 30 and the battery system.
[0038] When the electronic control assembly 30 is integrated into the first shell structure 21, referring to Figures 1 and 4, the electronic control assembly 30 is arranged in the first accommodating cavity 22 and is located on the periphery of the battery cell group 20. It should be explained that the periphery of the battery cell group 20 refers to: the edge position of the battery cell group 20, that is, the four side positions of the battery cell group 20. Exemplarily, the electronic control assembly 30 can be located on one side of the battery cell group 20, and the electrode positions of the electronic control assembly 30 and the battery cell group 20 are not opposite, that is, the electronic control assembly 30 is arranged on one side of the width direction of the battery cell group 20 to prevent the battery cell group 20 from being sprayed into the electronic control assembly 30 when thermal runaway occurs, thereby damaging the electronic control assembly 30.
[0039] For example, referring to Figures 4 and 5 , the electronic control assembly 30 may further include a second housing structure 33 having a second accommodating cavity 34. The second housing structure 33 is disposed within the first accommodating cavity 22 and is located outside the battery cell pack 20. A battery management system 351, a power distribution unit 352, a battery energy distribution unit 353, an onboard charger 354, and a DC-DC converter 355 may all be disposed within the second accommodating cavity 34. At least one of a compressor controller 357, a vehicle controller 358, and a motor controller 359 may also be disposed within the second accommodating cavity 34. Although each electronic control assembly 30 is arranged in the first shell structure 21, a separate second shell structure 33 is also provided for the electronic control assembly 30 to accommodate these devices. The second shell structure 33 has certain dustproof and waterproof, high-voltage isolation and anti-condensation capabilities, and is independently fixed on the tray 11 to prevent the electronic control assembly 30 and the battery cell group 20 from interfering with each other, thereby preventing damage to the adjacent battery cell group 20 or the electronic control assembly 30 during thermal runaway.
[0040] The second shell structure 33 serves as a shell structure for accommodating various modules in the electronic control assembly 30. It can adopt a box body, a cabinet body or other structures. The second shell structure 33 can be fixed on the tray 11 by methods such as but not limited to gluing, bolting, riveting, etc.
[0041] For example, referring to Figures 4 and 5 , when the battery management system 351, power distribution unit 352, battery energy distribution unit 353, onboard charger 354, and DC-DC converter 355 are all disposed within the second accommodating cavity 34, at least one circuit board 31 may be disposed within the second housing structure 33. Specifically, the number of circuit boards 31 within the second housing structure 33 may be one, two, or three. The circuit board 31 may specifically be a structure such as, but not limited to, a printed circuit board 31. The battery management system 351, power distribution unit 352, battery energy distribution unit 353, onboard charger 354, and DC-DC converter 355 are all integrated onto the circuit board 31 using methods such as, but not limited to, welding, bonding, snap-fitting, or plug-in connection. Similarly, at least one of the compressor controller 357, vehicle controller 358, and motor controller 359 may also be integrated onto the circuit board 31, so that these components can be integrated and accommodated within the second accommodating cavity 34 of the second housing structure 33. For example, the battery management system 351, the power distribution unit 352, the battery energy distribution unit 353, the onboard charger 354, and the DC-DC converter 355 can all be provided on the same circuit board 31, and at least one of the compressor controller 357, the vehicle controller 358, and the motor controller 359 can be provided on another circuit board 31. In some embodiments, the battery management system 351, the power distribution unit 352, the battery energy distribution unit 353, the onboard charger 354, the DC-DC converter 355, and at least one of the compressor controller 357, the vehicle controller 358, and the motor controller 359 can also all be provided on the same circuit board 31.
[0042] For example, referring to Figures 1 and 4 , the battery pack 62 may further include a partition structure 40 disposed within the first accommodating chamber 22, and the partition structure 40 divides the first accommodating chamber 22 into two independent first and second chambers 23 and 24. The battery cell group 20 is disposed within the first chamber 23, and the second housing structure 33 is disposed within the second chamber 24. That is, a partition structure 40 is disposed within the first accommodating chamber 22. The partition structure 40 may specifically be a structure such as, but not limited to, a partition, capable of dividing the first accommodating chamber 22 into two independent chambers, namely, the first chamber 23 and the second chamber 24. When the battery pack 20 is disposed within the first chamber 23 and the second housing structure 33 of the electronic control assembly 30 and the various components therein are disposed within the second chamber 24, this prevents damage to the electronic control assembly 30 in the event of thermal runaway of the battery pack 20. Furthermore, in the event of combustion or explosion of the electronic control assembly 30, this effectively blocks the spread of heat, thereby improving the safety of the battery pack 62 and preventing damage to the battery pack 20 in the event of a failure of the electronic control assembly 30. Specifically, when the partition structure 40 separates the first accommodating chamber 22 into the first chamber 23 and the second chamber 24, the partition structure 40 may be a plate structure, with the four edges of the partition structure 40 respectively connected between the cover plate 12, the tray 11, and the two opposing side plates 13, thereby dividing the first accommodating chamber 22 into two independent chambers.
[0043] For example, referring to Figures 1, 2, and 3, the electronic control assembly 30 may further include at least one connector 32, each connector 32 being exposed on the surface of the first housing structure 21 through an opening 15 in the side panel 13. For example, referring to Figures 1-5, each connector 32 may be connected to the circuit board 31 and electrically connected to corresponding components through traces and vias on the circuit board 31. This allows transmission interfaces of components such as, but not limited to, the battery management system 351, power distribution unit 352, battery energy distribution unit 353, onboard charger 354, DC-DC converter 355, compressor controller 357, vehicle controller 358, and motor controller 359 to be introduced outside the battery pack 62, enabling interaction with corresponding external modules and enabling the electronic control assembly 30 to exchange energy and signals with the entire vehicle. For example, a sealing structure such as, but not limited to, sealant or rubber strips may be employed between each connector 32 and the opening 15, ensuring a sealed connection between the connector 32 and the opening 15 in the side panel 13, thereby improving the sealing performance of the battery pack 62.
[0044] For example, referring to FIG1 , the battery pack 62 may further include a cold plate 50 , which is disposed on the cell pack 20 and is used to exchange heat with the cell pack 20 to regulate the temperature within the cell pack 20 . Specifically, the cold plate 50 can heat the cell pack 20 or cool the cell pack 20 to regulate the ambient temperature of the cell pack 20 . Various methods can be used to dispose the cold plate 50 . For example, as shown in FIG1 , the cold plate 50 can be disposed on the surface of the cell pack 20 opposite the tray 11 . Specifically, the cold plate 50 can be attached to the surface of the cell pack 20 by gluing, snapping, or other methods, thereby increasing the heat transfer area between the cold plate 50 and the cell pack 20 and improving heat exchange efficiency. The refrigerant input and output pipelines of the cold plate 50 can be connected to the air conditioning system of the electric vehicle 60 after being led out of the battery pack 62 through the electronic control assembly 30 , so that the air conditioning system of the electric vehicle 60 can supply refrigerant to the cold plate 50 . Specifically, the refrigerant input and output pipelines of the cold plate 50 can be led out of the battery pack 62 through the side plate 13 where the connector 32 is provided on one side of the electronic control assembly 30 .
[0045] In some embodiments, referring to FIG5 , a heat sink 356 may be further disposed within the second accommodating cavity 34 to dissipate heat from the electronic control assembly 30. Specifically, the heat sink 356 can dissipate heat from at least one of the battery management system 351, power distribution unit 352, battery energy distribution unit 353, onboard charger 354, DC-DC converter 355, compressor controller 357, vehicle controller 358, and motor controller 359, thereby lowering the ambient temperature of the electronic control assembly 30 and ensuring optimal operation of the electronic control assembly 30. In other words, the heat sink 356 only has a cooling function, not a heating function. This is related to the optimal operating temperature of the electronic control assembly 30. The lower the temperature of the electronic control assembly 30, the better its operating efficiency. Therefore, the electronic control assembly 30 only needs the heat sink 356, eliminating the need for a heat exchanger with heating functions.
[0046] When setting the radiator 356, a variety of methods can be used. Exemplarily, the radiator 356 can be a liquid-cooled radiator 356, and the liquid-cooled radiator 356 can specifically be in the form of a liquid cooling plate, but the surface of the liquid cooling plate needs to be treated with an insulating layer to prevent electrical defects such as but not limited to open circuit and short circuit from occurring between the liquid cooling plate and the electronic control assembly 30. The liquid cooling plate can be set on the side of the circuit board 31 where no devices are set, and can be connected by insulating thermal grease to improve the heat exchange efficiency between the circuit board 31 and the liquid cooling plate. The liquid cooling plate can also be set on the side of the circuit board 31 where devices are set, and the liquid cooling plate is connected to the surface of each device by means such as but not limited to thermal grease and thermal blocks to improve the heat exchange efficiency between the liquid cooling plate and each device.
[0047] Of course, the arrangement of the radiator 356 is not limited to the liquid-cooled radiator 356 shown above; other arrangements may also be employed. For example, an air-cooled radiator 356 may be employed as the radiator 356 disposed within the second accommodating cavity 34. The air-cooled radiator 356 may specifically be a device such as, but not limited to, a cooling fan. An air outlet may be provided on the second housing structure 33, and the air-cooled radiator 356 may be housed within the second accommodating cavity 34 and directed toward the air outlet, thereby improving the heat dissipation efficiency of the air-cooled radiator 356.
[0048] In some embodiments, the cold plate 50 and the radiator 356 can operate independently, that is, the operations of the cold plate 50 and the radiator 356 do not interfere with each other. Specifically, only the cold plate 50 can be turned on without turning on the radiator 356, only the radiator 356 can be turned on without turning on the cold plate 50, or both the cold plate 50 and the radiator 356 can be turned on. The cold plate 50 can also be in heating mode while the radiator 356 is in cooling mode; or, both the cold plate 50 and the radiator 356 can be in cooling mode. In addition, when the cold plate 50 and the radiator 356 are both in cooling mode, the cooling mode gears can be the same or different. In other words, independent heat exchangers are provided for the battery cell group 20 and the electronic control assembly 30, respectively, to perform thermal management on the electronic control assembly 30 and the battery cell group 20, so that the two do not interfere with each other during thermal management to meet different operating requirements. Through the above-mentioned method, the battery cell group 20 and the electronic control assembly 30 have independent thermal management and thermal runaway protection capabilities, which further improves the safety of the electric vehicle 60 while reducing the cost of the entire vehicle and increasing the integration of the entire vehicle.
[0049] For example, referring to Figure 1, the battery pack 62 can also include: a thermal insulation and fireproof layer 14, which is arranged on the inner walls of the cover plate 12 and the side plate 13, that is, a thermal insulation and fireproof layer 14 is also provided on the inner wall of the cover body 10 to provide fire prevention and heat insulation protection for the battery cell group 20 and the electronic control assembly 30, thereby improving the protection effect of the battery cell group 20 and the electronic control assembly 30.
[0050] In the various embodiments illustrated above, the electronic control assembly 30 and the battery pack 20 are both disposed within the first housing structure 21. The electronic control assembly 30 includes not only the battery management system 351, power distribution unit 352, battery energy distribution unit 353, onboard charger 354, and DC-DC converter 355 associated with managing the battery pack 20, but also at least one of the compressor controller 357, vehicle controller 358, and motor controller 359 associated with other control functions within the electric vehicle 60. By integrating at least one of the compressor controller 357, vehicle controller 358, and motor controller 359 within the first housing structure 21, the number of integrated components within the first housing structure 21 is increased, thereby improving the integration of the battery system and the electronic control assembly 30. Furthermore, the battery pack 62 illustrated above has a simple structure and independent thermal management and thermal runaway protection capabilities, further enhancing the safety of the electric vehicle 60 while reducing vehicle cost and increasing vehicle integration.
[0051] In addition, an embodiment of the present application further provides an electric vehicle. Referring to Figures 1 to 6 , the electric vehicle 60 includes a vehicle body 61 and any of the above-described battery packs 62 disposed on the vehicle body 61. The electric vehicle 60 can be an electric passenger vehicle, an electric commercial vehicle, an electric engineering vehicle, etc. The vehicle body 61 can specifically include a frame, a vehicle body, a vehicle shell, wheels, etc. By arranging both the electronic control assembly 30 and the battery cell group 20 in the first shell structure 21, and the electronic control assembly 30 not only includes a battery management system 351, a power distribution unit 352, a battery energy distribution unit 353, an on-board charger 354 and a DC-DC converter 355 related to the management of the battery cell group 20, but also includes a compressor controller 357, a vehicle controller 358 and at least one controller of the motor controller 359 related to other control functions in the electric vehicle 60, and integrating at least one controller of the compressor controller 357, the vehicle controller 358 and the motor controller 359 in the first shell structure 21, the number of integrated components in the first shell structure 21 is increased, thereby improving the integration of the battery system and the electronic control assembly 30.
[0052] The present application has been described through the above-described embodiments, but it should be understood that the above-described embodiments are for illustrative and illustrative purposes only and are not intended to limit the present application to the described embodiments. In addition, it will be understood by those skilled in the art that the present application is not limited to the above-described embodiments, and that various variations and modifications may be made based on the teachings of the present application, all of which fall within the scope of protection claimed in the present application. The scope of protection of the present application is defined by the appended claims and their equivalents.
