Abstract
Description
Control device for rolling mill, rolling equipment, and method for operating rolling mill
[0001] The present disclosure relates to a control device for a rolling mill, rolling equipment, and a method for operating a rolling mill.
[0002] BACKGROUND ART In rolling a metal sheet using a rolling mill including a pair of rolling rolls, in order to improve yield, the metal sheet may be rolled in a tip-tensionless state (tip-tensionless rolling) in which no tension acts on the metal sheet at the exit side of the rolling mill before the tip portion of the metal sheet is wound on a winder.
[0003] Patent Document 1 describes a rolling mill equipped with a strip edge detector provided at the entry and exit sides of a pair of rolling rolls (rolling mill). In this rolling mill, whether the metal sheet is parallel to the conveying direction (pass line) is determined based on the strip edge positions in the strip width direction at the entry and exit sides of the rolling mill detected by the strip edge detector. When the metal sheet is substantially parallel to the conveying direction, tensionless front end rolling is initiated. After rolling of the metal sheet begins, leveling is adjusted based on the strip edge positions in the strip width direction at the exit side of the rolling mill, thereby suppressing tilt of the metal sheet relative to the conveying direction. In this way, the front end of the metal sheet is guided to the winder while suppressing tilt of the metal sheet.
[0004] Patent No. 7150994
[0005] However, in the rolling equipment of Patent Document 1, tension-free rolling at the tip end is started after the orientation of the metal sheet is adjusted to be approximately parallel to the conveyance direction, so it takes time to adjust the orientation of the metal sheet before rolling starts, which leaves room for improvement in terms of productivity.
[0006] In view of the above circumstances, at least one embodiment of the present invention aims to provide a control device for a rolling apparatus, rolling equipment, and a method for operating a rolling apparatus that are capable of quickly starting rolling in a state in which the tension on the delivery side of a metal sheet is zero (tension-free rolling at the tip end).

[0008] Furthermore, a rolling facility according to at least one embodiment of the present invention includes: a rolling device including a pair of rolls for rolling a metal plate; and the above-described control device configured to control the rolling device.

[0012] Hereinafter, several embodiments of the present invention will be described with reference to the accompanying drawings. [0013] (Configuration of Rolling Facility and Control Device) Fig. 1 is a schematic configuration diagram of a rolling facility equipped with a control device according to one embodiment. Fig. 2 is a schematic configuration diagram of a control device according to one embodiment.
[0014] As shown in Fig. 1, the rolling equipment 1 includes a rolling device 2 for rolling a metal sheet S, and a control device 100 for controlling the rolling device 2. In some embodiments, the rolling device 2 may include, for example, one rolling mill 10 as shown in Fig. 1, or may include a plurality of rolling mills arranged along the conveying direction of the metal sheet.
[0015] The rolling apparatus 2 shown in Fig. 1 is a rolling apparatus (reverse mill) that rolls a metal sheet S that is passed between a pair of roll rolls 15, 16 by reciprocating the roll rolls. The rolling apparatus 2 shown in Fig. 1 includes a rolling mill 10 including a pair of roll rolls (work rolls) 15, 16 that are arranged to sandwich the metal sheet S, which is the rolling material, an unwinder 4 that is provided on the entry side of the roll rolls 15, 16 in the traveling direction of the metal sheet S, and a winder 14 that is provided on the exit side of the roll rolls 15, 16 in the traveling direction of the metal sheet S, and is configured to roll the metal sheet S with the pair of roll rolls 15, 16.
[0016] The rolling mill 10 includes a pair of reduction rolls (work rolls) 15, 16, as well as a pair of intermediate rolls 17, 18 and a pair of backup rolls 19, 20, which are provided on opposite sides of the pair of reduction rolls 15, 16 from the metal sheet S. The intermediate rolls 17, 18 and the backup rolls 19, 20 are configured to support the reduction rolls 15, 16. The rolling mill 10 also includes a reduction device 22 for applying a load to the pair of reduction rolls 15, 16 to reduce the metal sheet S sandwiched between the pair of reduction rolls 15, 16. The reduction device 22 may include a hydraulic cylinder.
[0017] A motor (not shown) is connected to the rolling rolls 15, 16 via a spindle (not shown) or the like, and the rolling rolls 15, 16 are rotated by the motor. When rolling the metal sheet S, the rolling rolls 15, 16 are rotated by the motor while the metal sheet S is being pressed down by the reduction device 22, thereby generating a frictional force between the rolling rolls 15, 16 and the metal sheet S, and this frictional force causes the metal sheet S to be sent to the exit side of the rolling rolls 15, 16.
[0018] The unwinder 4 is configured to unwind the metal sheet S toward the rolling mill 10. The winder 14 is configured to wind the metal sheet S from the rolling mill 10. The unwinder 4 and the winder 14 are each driven by a motor (not shown).
[0019] The unwinder 4 is configured to apply an entry-side tension to the metal sheet S when the metal sheet S is rolled. The winder 14 is configured to apply an exit-side tension to the metal sheet S when the metal sheet S is rolled. That is, by appropriately driving the unwinder 4 and the winder 14 with a motor, the entry-side tension and the exit-side tension are applied to the metal sheet S. By appropriately applying the entry-side tension and the exit-side tension to the metal sheet S, it is possible to suppress meandering of the metal sheet S when it is rolled.
[0020] Incidentally, rolling is stopped just before the tail end of the metal sheet S unwound from the unwinder 4, and when the odd-numbered rolling (first pass, etc.) is completed with the metal sheet S pressed down by the rolling rolls 15, 16, the metal sheet S is then unwound from the winder 14 toward the rolling mill 10, and while the unwinder 4 is winding the metal sheet S, the metal sheet S is advanced in the opposite direction to the previous direction to perform the even-numbered rolling (second pass, etc.). In other words, the roles of the unwinder 4 and the winder 14 are interchanged depending on the direction of advance of the metal sheet S.
[0021] The rolling apparatus 2 shown in FIG. 1 further includes an entry pinch roll 6 and a side guide 8 for guiding the metal sheet S introduced from the unwinder 4 into the rolling mill 10, and an exit pinch roll 12 for guiding the metal sheet S sent from the rolling mill 10 to the winder 14.
[0022] As shown in FIG. 1 , the control device 100 for controlling the rolling mill 2 includes a first plate end detection unit 32 and a second plate end detection unit 34 for detecting the plate end positions in the plate width direction of the metal plate S, and a controller 40 configured to control the operation of the rolling mill 2 based on the detection results of the first plate end detection unit 32 and the second plate end detection unit 34.
[0023] 3 and 4 are schematic diagrams showing a plan view of the metal sheet S in the rolling equipment 1. In the examples shown in FIGS. 3 and 4, the metal sheet S has a leading end St and a widthwise end Se. A , Se B 3 and 4, the metal sheet S when it reaches the winding machine 14 is indicated by a two-dot chain line. In FIG. 3, the direction of the metal sheet S (the longitudinal direction of the metal sheet S) is approximately parallel to the conveying direction, and the sheet end Se A The position of the target edge position X A 4, the orientation of the metal sheet S is inclined with respect to the conveying direction. In addition, in FIGS. 3 and 4, the position of the rolling rolls 15 and 16 in the conveying direction of the metal sheet S is indicated by lx0, and the position of the winder 14 is indicated by lx3.
[0024] The first sheet edge detection unit 32 is configured to detect a first sheet edge position x1, which is the sheet edge position in the sheet width direction of the metal sheet S, at a first position lx1 (see FIGS. 3 and 4; the same applies below) on the exit side of the pair of rolling rolls 15, 16 in the conveying direction of the metal sheet S. The second sheet edge detection unit 34 is configured to detect a second sheet edge position x2, which is the sheet edge position in the sheet width direction of the metal sheet S, at a second position lx2 downstream of the first position lx1 in the conveying direction. In other words, the first position lx1 and the second position lx2 are both positions on the exit side of the pair of rolling rolls 15, 16 in the conveying direction.
[0025] The control device 100 may include an offset amount detection unit 36 for detecting an offset amount D (see FIG. 4) which is the difference between the sheet end position x3 of the metal sheet S in the winder 14 and the target sheet end position XA. The offset amount D is calculated by calculating the difference between the sheet end position x3 of the leading end St' of the metal sheet S when the leading end of the metal sheet S reaches the winder 14 and the target sheet end position XA. A It may be the difference between (see FIG. 4).
[0026] The offset amount detection unit 36 detects, for example, the end of the metal sheet S in the width direction of the metal sheet S wound by the winding machine 14 and / or the target sheet end position X A The target plate edge position X may be included. A A mark indicating this may be provided on the winding machine 14. The offset amount detection unit 36 may be configured to obtain the offset amount D from an image or the like obtained by the camera.
[0027] The controller 40 is configured to receive signals indicating the detection results of the first plate end position x1, the second plate end position x2, and / or the offset amount D from the first plate end detection unit 32, the second plate end detection unit 34, and / or the offset amount detection unit 36, and to control the operation of the screw-down device 22 and the motors for driving the rolling rolls 15, 16 based on these detection results.
[0028] The controller 40 may include a processor (such as a CPU), a memory (RAM), an auxiliary storage unit, an interface, etc. The controller 40 is configured to receive signals from the first plate end detection unit 32 and the second plate end detection unit 34 via the interface. The processor is configured to process the signals received in this manner. The processor is also configured to process a program loaded in the memory.
[0029] The processing contents of the controller 40 may be implemented as a program executed by a processor and stored in an auxiliary storage unit. When the program is executed, the program is expanded in memory. The processor reads the program from memory and executes the instructions contained in the program.
[0030] 2, the controller 40 constituting the control device 100 according to one embodiment includes a leveling adjustment unit 42. The controller 40 may also include a target value acquisition unit 44, a data acquisition unit 46, and / or a correlation acquisition unit 48.
[0031] The leveling adjustment unit 42 is configured to adjust the leveling of the pair of rolls 15, 16 that roll the metal sheet S in a state where the tension on the delivery side of the metal sheet S is zero (i.e., in a state where there is no tension at the tip end) based on the first sheet edge position x1 of the metal sheet S detected by the first sheet edge detection unit 32, the second sheet edge position x2 of the metal sheet S detected by the second sheet edge detection unit 34, and / or the offset amount D detected by the offset amount detection unit 36. The leveling of the pair of rolls 15, 16 is the difference in the inter-roll gap (roll gap) at both ends of the pair of rolls 15, 16. The leveling adjustment unit 42 may be configured to adjust the leveling of the pair of rolls 15, 16 by adjusting the reduction amount by the reduction device 22.
[0032] The target value acquisition unit 44 is configured to acquire the difference δ between the first plate end position x1 and the second plate end position x2 at which the offset amount D becomes a specified value as a target value δtgt related to the difference δ, based on the correlation between the difference δ (see FIG. 4 ) between the first plate end position x1 detected by the first plate end detection unit 32 and the second plate end position x2 detected by the second plate end detection unit 34 and the above-mentioned offset amount D. The above-mentioned correlation may be acquired by a correlation acquisition unit 48, which will be described later.
[0033] The data acquisition unit 46 is configured to acquire the difference δ between the first plate end position x1 and the second plate end position x2, and the offset amount D corresponding to the difference δ, multiple times.
[0034] The correlation acquisition unit 48 is configured to acquire the correlation between the difference δ between the first plate end position x1 and the second plate end position x2 and the above-mentioned offset amount D based on the multiple differences δ and multiple offset amounts D acquired by the data acquisition unit 46.
[0035] (Operation control flow of rolling mill) Hereinafter, the operation control of the rolling mill 2 by the control device 100 described above will be explained, but the rolling mill 2 may also be operated by manually performing some or all of the processing by the control device 100 described below.
[0036] 5 and 6 are flowcharts each showing an example of a method for operating a rolling mill according to an embodiment.
[0037] 5, first, in the rolling mill 2, rolling of the metal sheet S is started in a state in which the tension on the delivery side of the metal sheet S is zero (tension-free rolling at the tip end) (S2). During tension-free rolling at the tip end, the tip end St of the metal sheet S is located downstream of the work rolls 15, 16 and upstream of the winder 14 in the conveying direction (see FIGS. 3 and 4).
[0038] Next, the first plate end detection unit 32 detects a first plate end position x1 of the metal plate S at a first position lx1 in the conveying direction, and the second plate end detection unit 34 detects a second plate end position x2 of the metal plate S at a second position lx2 in the conveying direction (S4). The controller 40 acquires the first plate end position x1 and the second plate end position x2.
[0039] Next, the leveling adjustment unit 42 adjusts the leveling of a pair of rolling rolls 15, 16 that roll the metal sheet S when the outlet tension of the metal sheet S is zero, based on the first sheet end position x1 of the metal sheet S detected by the first sheet end detection unit 32 and the second sheet end position x2 of the metal sheet S detected by the second sheet end detection unit 34 (S6 to S10).
[0040] More specifically, the leveling adjustment unit 42 acquires the difference δ (δ = x2 - x1; see Figure 4) between the first plate end position x1 of the metal plate S detected by the first plate end detection unit 32 and the second plate end position x2 of the metal plate S detected by the second plate end detection unit 34 (S6).
[0041] The leveling adjustment unit 42 then determines whether the difference δ between the first sheet end position x1 and the second sheet end position x2 is within a specified range (S8). If the difference δ is not within the specified range (No in step S8), the leveling adjustment unit 42 changes the leveling of the rolls 15, 16 so that the difference δ is within the specified range (S10).
[0042] Alternatively, in one embodiment, instead of steps S8 to S10 described above, the difference δ between the first plate end position x1 and the second plate end position x2 may be obtained, and the leveling of the rolling rolls 15, 16 may be adjusted so that the difference δ becomes small (i.e., so that the difference δ between the first plate end position x1 and the second plate end position x2 approaches zero).
[0043] According to the above-described embodiment, during rolling in a state in which the tension on the delivery side of the metal sheet S is zero (tensionless front end rolling), leveling adjustment is performed based on the detection results of the sheet end positions (first sheet end position x1 and second sheet end position x2) at multiple positions (first position lx1 and second position lx2) on the delivery side of the pair of roll rolls 15, 16. Therefore, for example, as shown in FIG. 4 , even if the metal sheet S is inclined with respect to the conveyance direction at the start of tensionless front end rolling, the above-described leveling adjustment can eliminate the inclination of the metal sheet S while rolling the metal sheet S. As a result, the front end St of the metal sheet S can be guided to the winder 14 while maintaining the straightness of the metal sheet S during tensionless front end rolling, and the metal sheet S can be appropriately wound by the winder 14. Therefore, since it is possible to omit adjustment of the orientation of the metal sheet S at the start of tensionless front end rolling, tensionless front end rolling can be started promptly, improving productivity.
[0044] In the operating method shown in the flowchart of Figure 6, first, in the rolling mill 2, rolling of the metal sheet S (tensionless rolling at the tip) is started in a state in which the tension on the delivery side of the metal sheet S is zero (S22; similar to step S2 in Figure 5).
[0045] Next, the target value acquisition unit 44 calculates the difference δ between the first sheet edge position x1 of the metal sheet S detected by the first sheet edge detection unit 32 and the second sheet edge position x2 of the metal sheet S detected by the second sheet edge detection unit 34, and the difference δ between the sheet edge position x3 of the metal sheet S in the winding machine 14 and the target sheet edge position X A The target value acquisition unit 44 then acquires a correlation between the offset amount D, which is the difference between the first plate end position x1 and the second plate end position x2, from the correlation (S24).
[0046] The correlation between the difference δ between the first plate end position x1 and the second plate end position x2 and the offset amount D may be acquired by the correlation acquisition unit 48 based on the data of the first plate end position x1, the second plate end position x2 and the offset amount D acquired by the data acquisition unit 46.
[0047] 7 and 8 are graphs showing an example of the correlation between the difference δ (horizontal axis) between the first plate end position x1 and the second plate end position x2 and the offset amount D (vertical axis).
[0048] The correlation acquisition unit 48 may obtain an approximate curve (curve L in FIGS. 7 and 8) of a plot showing a combination of the difference δ between the first plate end position x1 and the second plate end position x2 and the offset amount D, and acquire the approximate curve L as the correlation between the difference δ and the offset amount D. Furthermore, the target value acquisition unit 44 may acquire the value of δ at the intersection of the approximate curve L and the horizontal axis indicating δ as the target value δtgt for the difference δ at which the offset amount D becomes zero as a specified value.
[0049] If there are no measurement errors or installation errors in the first plate end detection unit 32, the second plate end detection unit 34, and / or the offset amount detection unit 36, the approximate curve L showing the correlation between the difference δ between the first plate end position x1 and the second plate end position x2 and the offset amount D will pass through the origin, as shown in Figure 7 (i.e., when the offset amount D is zero, the difference between the first plate end position x1 and the second plate end position x2 is zero). In this case, the target value δtgt for the difference δ between the first plate end position x1 and the second plate end position x2, which makes the offset amount D zero (the specified value), is zero.
[0050] In reality, as shown in Fig. 8, in the correlation between the above-mentioned difference δ and the offset amount D, when the offset amount D is zero, the difference δ between the first plate end position x1 and the second plate end position x2 may become δa, which is deviated from zero, due to measurement errors or installation errors of the first plate end detection unit 32, the second plate end detection unit 34, and / or the offset amount detection unit 36. In this case, the target value δtgt for the difference δ between the first plate end position x1 and the second plate end position x2, which makes the offset amount D zero (the specified value), is δa.
[0051] Next, the first plate end detection unit 32 detects a first plate end position x1 of the metal plate S at a first position lx1 in the conveying direction, and the second plate end detection unit 34 detects a second plate end position x2 of the metal plate S at a second position lx2 in the conveying direction (S26; similar to step S4 in FIG. 5). The controller 40 acquires the first plate end position x1 and the second plate end position x2.
[0052] Next, the leveling adjustment unit 42 adjusts the leveling of the pair of rolling rolls 15, 16 that roll the metal sheet S in a state where the tension on the outlet side of the metal sheet S is zero, using the first sheet end position x1 of the metal sheet S detected by the first sheet end detection unit 32, the second sheet end position x2 of the metal sheet S detected by the second sheet end detection unit 34, and the above-mentioned offset amount D (S28 to S30).
[0053] More specifically, the leveling adjustment unit 42 acquires the difference δ between the first plate end position x1 of the metal plate S detected by the first plate end detection unit 32 and the second plate end position x2 of the metal plate S detected by the second plate end detection unit 34 (S28).
[0054] Then, the leveling adjustment unit 42 adjusts the leveling of the rolling rolls 15, 16 so that the difference δ between the first plate end position x1 and the second plate end position x2 approaches the target value δtgt obtained in step S24 (i.e., the target value δtgt obtained based on the correlation between the difference δ between the first plate end position x1 and the second plate end position x2 and the offset amount D) (S30).
[0055] As a result of careful investigation by the inventors, it was found that even if there is no actual difference between the sheet end positions (first sheet end position x1 and second sheet end position x2) at the first position lx1 and the second position lx2, a difference may occur in the detection results (measured values) of the first sheet end position x1 and the second sheet end position x2 by these sheet end detection units due to measurement errors, installation errors, etc. of the first sheet end detection unit 32 and the second sheet end detection unit 34. In this regard, according to the above-mentioned embodiment, in addition to the detection results (first sheet end position x1 and second sheet end position x2) by the first sheet end detection unit 32 and the second sheet end detection unit 34, the sheet end position x3 of the metal sheet S at the position of the winder 14 and the target sheet end position X A By adjusting the leveling using the offset amount D, which is the difference between the offset amount D and the inclination amount D, it is possible to more appropriately eliminate the inclination of the metal sheet S with respect to the conveying direction during tension-free rolling at the tip end.
[0056] For example, as described above, based on the correlation between the difference δ between the first plate end position x1 and the second plate end position x2 and the offset amount D, a target value δtgt corresponding to a specified offset amount D (e.g., zero) is obtained, and leveling is adjusted so that the difference δ between the first plate end position x1 and the second plate end position x2 approaches the target value δtgt, thereby making it possible to bring the offset amount D closer to the specified value (e.g., zero). This makes it possible to more appropriately eliminate the inclination of the metal sheet S with respect to the conveying direction during tensionless rolling at the tip end.
[0057] In some embodiments, the data acquisition unit 46 is configured to repeatedly acquire the difference δ and the offset amount D between the first plate end position x1 and the second plate end position x2, and the correlation acquisition unit 48 is configured to re-acquire the correlation between the difference δ and the offset amount D (e.g., the above-mentioned approximate curve L) each time the data acquisition unit 46 acquires the above-mentioned difference δ and offset amount D.
[0058] The correlation between the difference δ between the first plate end position x1 and the second plate end position x2 and the offset amount D described above may change depending on the operating time, operating conditions, etc. of the rolling equipment 1. In this regard, according to the above-described embodiment, data relating to the difference δ between the first plate end position x1 and the second plate end position x2 and the offset amount D corresponding to this difference δ are repeatedly acquired during operation of the rolling equipment 1, and the above-described correlation is re-acquired using the newly acquired data (i.e., the correlation is updated). Therefore, leveling adjustment can be made based on the above-described correlation depending on the state of the rolling equipment 1, making it possible to more appropriately eliminate the inclination of the metal sheet S with respect to the conveyance direction during tensionless rolling at the tip end.
[0059] In some embodiments, the correlation acquisition unit 48 is configured to acquire the correlation using the plurality of differences δ and the plurality of offset amounts D selected from the most recent ones of the plurality of differences δ and the plurality of offset amounts D acquired by the data acquisition unit 46.
[0060] According to the above-described embodiment, the above-described correlation is obtained using the latest data on the difference δ between the first plate end position x1 and the second plate end position x2, and the offset amount D corresponding to this difference δ, which are obtained during operation of the rolling equipment 1. Therefore, leveling adjustment can be performed based on the above-described correlation according to the latest state of the rolling equipment 1. Therefore, it is possible to more appropriately eliminate the inclination of the metal sheet S with respect to the conveyance direction during tensionless rolling of the tip end.
[0061] The contents described in each of the above embodiments can be understood, for example, as follows.
[0062] [1] A control device (100) for a rolling mill according to at least one embodiment of the present invention is a control device for controlling a rolling mill (2) including a pair of rolls (15, 16) for rolling a metal sheet (S), and comprises: a first sheet edge detection unit (32) configured to detect a sheet edge position in a sheet width direction of the metal sheet at a first position (lx1) on the delivery side of the pair of rolls in a conveying direction of the metal sheet; a second sheet edge detection unit (34) configured to detect a sheet edge position in the sheet width direction of the metal sheet at a second position (lx2) downstream of the first position in the conveying direction; and a leveling adjustment unit (42) configured to adjust leveling of the pair of rolls that roll the metal sheet in a state in which tension on the delivery side of the metal sheet is zero, based on the first sheet edge position (x1) of the metal sheet detected by the first sheet edge detection unit and the second sheet edge position (x2) of the metal sheet detected by the second sheet edge detection unit.
[0063] According to the configuration [1] above, during rolling in a state in which the tension on the delivery side of the metal sheet is zero (tensionless tip rolling), leveling adjustment is performed based on the detection results of the sheet end positions (first sheet end position and second sheet end position) at multiple positions (first position and second position) on the delivery side of a pair of rolls. Therefore, even if the metal sheet is inclined with respect to the conveyance direction at the start of tensionless tip rolling, the leveling adjustment described above can eliminate the inclination of the metal sheet while rolling the metal sheet. This allows the leading edge of the metal sheet to be guided to the winding machine while maintaining the straightness of the metal sheet during tensionless tip rolling, and the metal sheet can be appropriately wound by the winding machine. Therefore, since adjustment of the orientation of the metal sheet at the start of tensionless tip rolling can be omitted, tensionless tip rolling can be started promptly, improving productivity.
[0064] [2] In some embodiments, in the configuration of [1] above, the leveling adjustment unit is configured to adjust the leveling so that the difference (δ) between the first plate end position and the second plate end position is within a specified range.
[0065] According to the configuration [2] above, during rolling in a state in which the tension on the delivery side of the metal sheet is zero (tensionless leading edge rolling), leveling is adjusted so that the difference between the first sheet edge position and the second sheet edge position falls within a specified range. Therefore, even if the metal sheet is inclined with respect to the conveyance direction at the start of tensionless leading edge rolling, the leveling adjustment described above can appropriately eliminate the inclination of the metal sheet while rolling the metal sheet. Therefore, as described in [1] above, tensionless leading edge rolling can be started promptly, improving productivity.
[0066] [3] In some embodiments, in the configuration of [1] or [2] above, the leveling adjustment unit is configured to adjust the leveling so that the difference between the first plate end position and the second plate end position becomes smaller.
[0067] According to the configuration [3] above, during rolling in a state in which the tension on the delivery side of the metal sheet is zero (tensionless leading edge rolling), leveling adjustment is performed so that the difference between the first sheet end position and the second sheet end position becomes small (i.e., so that the difference between the first sheet end position and the second sheet end position approaches zero), so even if the metal sheet is inclined with respect to the conveyance direction at the start of tensionless leading edge rolling, the leveling adjustment described above can appropriately eliminate the inclination of the metal sheet while rolling the metal sheet. Therefore, as described in [1] above, tensionless leading edge rolling can be started promptly, improving productivity.
[0068] [4] In some embodiments, in the configuration of the above [1], the leveling adjustment unit adjusts the sheet end position (x3) of the metal sheet in a winding machine (14) for winding the metal sheet rolled by the pair of rolling rolls and the target sheet end position (X A ) and adjusts the leveling using an offset amount (D) which is the difference between the offset amount (D) and the actual level.
[0069] As a result of intensive studies by the present inventors, it has been found that even if there is no actual difference in the sheet edge positions at the first position and the second position, there may be a difference in the detection results (measured values) of the first sheet edge position and the second sheet edge position by these sheet edge detection units due to measurement errors, installation errors, etc. According to the configuration [4] above, leveling is adjusted using not only the detection results (first sheet edge position and second sheet edge position) by the first sheet edge detection unit and the second sheet edge detection unit, but also an offset amount that is the difference between the sheet edge position of the metal sheet at the position of the winder and the target sheet edge position, so that it is possible to more appropriately eliminate the inclination of the metal sheet with respect to the conveying direction during tensionless rolling at the head end.
[0070] [5] In some embodiments, in the configuration of [4] above, the leveling adjustment unit is configured to adjust the leveling based on the correlation between the difference between the first plate end position and the second plate end position and the offset amount.
[0071] As a result of intensive investigations by the inventors, it was found that there is a correlation between the difference between the first sheet end position (detection result by the first sheet end detection unit) and the second sheet end position (detection result by the second sheet end detection unit), and the above-mentioned offset amount. According to the configuration [5] above, leveling is adjusted based on the correlation between the difference between the first sheet end position and the second sheet end position, and the above-mentioned offset amount, so that it is possible to more appropriately eliminate the inclination of the metal sheet with respect to the conveyance direction during tensionless rolling at the tip end.
[0072] [6] In some embodiments, in the configuration of [5] above, the control device includes a target value acquisition unit (44) configured to acquire, based on the correlation, the difference between the first plate end position and the second plate end position at which the offset amount becomes a specified value as a target value (δtgt), and the leveling adjustment unit is configured to adjust the leveling so that the difference between the first plate end position and the second plate end position approaches the target value.
[0073] According to the configuration [6] above, based on the correlation between the difference between the first plate end position and the second plate end position and the above-mentioned offset amount, the difference between the first plate end position and the second plate end position at which the above-mentioned offset amount becomes a specified value (for example, zero) is obtained as a target value, and leveling is adjusted so that the difference between the first plate end position and the second plate end position approaches the target value, so that the inclination of the metal plate with respect to the conveying direction during tensionless rolling of the tip can be more appropriately eliminated.
[0074] [7] In some embodiments, in the configuration of any of [4] to [6] above, the control device comprises: an offset amount detection unit (36) for detecting the offset amount; a data acquisition unit (46) configured to acquire a difference between the first plate end position and the second plate end position and the offset amount corresponding to the difference multiple times; and a correlation acquisition unit (48) configured to acquire the correlation based on the multiple differences and multiple offset amounts acquired by the data acquisition unit.
[0075] According to the configuration [7] above, the difference between the first and second plate end positions and the offset amount corresponding to this difference are acquired multiple times during operation of the rolling equipment, and a correlation between the difference between the first and second plate end positions and the offset amount is acquired based on the data acquired in this manner. Therefore, by adjusting the leveling based on this correlation, it is possible to more appropriately eliminate the inclination of the metal plate with respect to the conveyance direction during tensionless rolling of the tip end.
[0076] [8] In some embodiments, in the configuration of [7] above, the data acquisition unit is configured to repeatedly acquire the difference and the offset amount, and the correlation acquisition unit is configured to re-acquire the correlation each time the data acquisition unit acquires the difference and the offset amount.
[0077] The correlation between the difference between the first and second plate end positions and the offset amount may change depending on the operating time and operating conditions of the rolling equipment. According to the configuration [8] above, data relating to the difference between the first and second plate end positions and the offset amount corresponding to this difference is repeatedly acquired during operation of the rolling equipment, and the correlation is re-acquired using the newly acquired data (i.e., the correlation is updated). Therefore, leveling can be adjusted based on the correlation according to the state of the rolling equipment, making it possible to more appropriately eliminate the inclination of the metal plate with respect to the conveyance direction during tensionless rolling at the tip end.
[0078] [9] In some embodiments, in the configuration of [7] or [8] above, the correlation acquisition unit is configured to acquire the correlation using a plurality of the differences and a plurality of the offset amounts selected from the most recent of the plurality of differences and a plurality of the offset amounts acquired by the data acquisition unit.
[0079] According to the configuration [9], the above correlation is obtained using the latest data on the difference between the first and second plate end positions and the offset amount corresponding to that difference, which are obtained during operation of the rolling equipment. This makes it possible to perform leveling adjustment based on the above correlation according to the latest state of the rolling equipment. Therefore, it is possible to more appropriately eliminate the inclination of the metal plate with respect to the conveyance direction during tensionless rolling of the tip end.
[0080]
[10] A rolling facility (1) according to at least one embodiment of the present invention comprises: a rolling device (2) including a pair of rolls for rolling a metal plate; and the control device (100) according to any one of [1] to [9] above, configured to control the rolling device.
[0081] According to the configuration
[10] above, during rolling in a state in which the tension on the delivery side of the metal sheet is zero (tensionless tip rolling), leveling adjustment is performed based on the detection results of the sheet end positions (first sheet end position and second sheet end position) at multiple positions (first position and second position) on the delivery side of a pair of rolls.
[0082]
[11] A method for operating a rolling mill according to at least one embodiment of the present invention is a method for operating a rolling mill including a pair of rolls for rolling a metal sheet, the method comprising: a first plate edge detection step (S4, S26) of detecting plate edge positions in the plate width direction of the metal sheet at a first position on the delivery side of the pair of rolls in the conveying direction of the metal sheet; a second plate edge detection step (S4, S26) of detecting plate edge positions in the plate width direction of the metal sheet at a second position downstream of the first position in the conveying direction; and steps (S8 to S10, S30) of adjusting leveling of the pair of rolls that roll the metal sheet in a state where tension on the delivery side of the metal sheet is zero, based on the first plate edge position of the metal sheet detected in the first plate edge detection step and the second plate edge position of the metal sheet detected in the second plate edge detection step.
[0083] According to the method
[11] above, during rolling in a state in which the tension on the delivery side of the metal sheet is zero (tensionless tip rolling), leveling adjustment is performed based on the detection results of the sheet end positions (first sheet end position and second sheet end position) at multiple positions (first position and second position) on the delivery side of a pair of rolls. Therefore, even if the metal sheet is inclined with respect to the conveyance direction at the start of tensionless tip rolling, the leveling adjustment described above can eliminate the inclination of the metal sheet while rolling the metal sheet. As a result, the leading edge of the metal sheet can be guided to the winding machine while maintaining the straightness of the metal sheet during tensionless tip rolling, and the metal sheet can be appropriately wound by the winding machine. Therefore, since adjustment of the orientation of the metal sheet can be omitted at the start of tensionless tip rolling, tensionless tip rolling can be started promptly, improving productivity.
