Description

[0001] Construction vehicle

[0002] The present invention relates to a construction vehicle, in particular for tunnel construction, which is suitable for moving under the narrow and uneven conditions of a tunnel construction and for serving as a carrier of loads, such as tunnel formwork elements or building materials.

[0003] For this purpose, the construction vehicle has two detachably connected drive modules, each with at least one driven axle and steerable wheels. In the tight confines of a tunnel, one axle per drive module is generally sufficient. However, for largely completed tunnels and the transport of very heavy loads, at least one of the drive modules can be multi-axle. It is sufficient for one of the two drive modules to have steerable wheels. However, to improve cornering and maneuverability, it is preferable for both drive modules to have steerable wheels.

[0004] The construction vehicle also comprises at least one cabin module which can be connected to each of the two drive modules. The construction vehicle preferably has a cabin module at each of its two longitudinal ends and is therefore capable of traveling in both directions while being guided from a front cabin. The conventional terms “forward” and “backward” are therefore not applicable to this construction vehicle because it is largely mirror-symmetrical towards the center, i.e., about a plane running transversely to the vehicle’s longitudinal axis in the middle of its length. The construction vehicle also comprises a control system for the two drive modules which controls both the power and the steering angle of the two drive modules, preferably independently of one another. The control system is connected to the at least one cabin module so that the vehicle can be operated from the cabin module. If cabin modules are arranged at both longitudinal ends, the control system is of course connected to both cabin modules. In this case, a priority circuit is preferably provided which assigns the control to only one of the two cabin modules, which is occupied by a driver. However, it is in principle possible that, particularly when driving around tight bends, the steering angle of the assigned drive module is controlled from the assigned cabin, so that two people are required for maneuvering: one in the cabin at the front in the direction of travel and one in the cabin at the rear in the direction of travel. These people can then optimally control their steering axis and the lateral and vertical position of their cabin so that the construction vehicle can negotiate the tightest curve radii of, for example, only 5 m. It should be added here that the two drive modules are heavy-duty modules with a load capacity of several tons.Preferably, the entire construction vehicle, consisting of the two interconnected drive modules, has a payload of 20 to 40 t. The two drive modules can be connected to one another either directly or via a central module, depending on the desired application. A first connecting device is provided for this connection. A second mechanical connecting device is designed to connect the cabin modules to the longitudinal ends of the respective drive module. This second mechanical connecting device can be identical to the first connecting device, but can also be different, for example if the connecting device also comprises hydraulic and electrical coupling devices in order to ensure that the corresponding drive module is controlled by the cabin when the cabin module is connected.Such an electrical and / or hydraulic coupling can of course also be realized by the first mechanical connecting device, so that, for example, both drive modules can be steered from the cabin of a single cabin module.

[0005] In principle, it is possible for the two drive modules to be identical. However, it is preferable for the two drive modules to perform different functions. For example, one of the two drive modules, which is designed as a service module, can house an electrical and / or hydraulic supply for the construction vehicle. The other drive module can then, for example, house more drive components. This type of division makes sense because some of the corresponding units are very large, and distributing the components between the two drive modules would complicate the hydraulic and / or electrical supply.

[0006] In an advantageous development of the invention, the at least one cabin module contains a support frame with an adjustment mechanism for the horizontal and / or vertical position of a cabin of the cabin module. This has the advantage that both the vertical and lateral position of the cabin can be adjusted on the cabin module. In tight curves, for example, the cabin can be moved laterally to the inner radius of the curve so that it does not hit a structure element that limits the outer curve radius. Secondly, the height adjustability of the cabin has the advantage that a better overview of the loading and unloading situation can be achieved, particularly during loading and unloading. Even on very hilly ground, the height adjustability of the cabin can improve ground clearance, which enables the construction vehicle to move even on very uneven ground.

[0007] The adjustment mechanism for the position of the cabin on the cabin frame preferably has a carriage that is movable on a horizontal guide running transversely to the vehicle axis, wherein a height adjustment mechanism is arranged on the carriage, on which the cabin is held in a height-adjustable manner. Such an adjustment mechanism is easy to implement and robust, particularly under the harsh conditions of tunnel construction, where there is usually a lot of dust in the air.

[0008] In an advantageous development of the invention, the control system includes a unit for coordinated steering of the wheels and for lateral positioning of the cabin depending on the inputs of a control element arranged in the at least one cabin and / or depending on distance sensors of the control system. The driver of the construction vehicle can, for example, use a control element, such as a steering wheel or a joystick, to select the curve radius down to a minimum curve radius. As the curve radius becomes narrower, the cabins are automatically positioned laterally to prevent the cabin from hitting objects in the outer curve radius.Alternatively or additionally, distance sensors or position sensors can be installed at the ends of the construction vehicle. These sensors detect the geometry of the construction site in the direction of travel and can thus independently determine the curve radius and virtually automatically adjust the steering angle and the position of the cab based on the sensor signals. However, these sensors can also serve purely as support for the operator of the construction vehicle.

[0009] As already stated above, the construction vehicle preferably contains a cabin module at each of its longitudinal ends, allowing it to be operated forwards or backwards from a front cabin. The vehicle then no longer has a front or rear; instead, the front and rear are determined by the vehicle's direction of travel. This has the advantage that in narrow tunnels where turning the vehicle is impossible, the vehicle can be easily driven out of the tunnel after loading or unloading in the tunnel area by simply controlling it from the previously rear cabin.

[0010] In principle, it is sufficient for one of the two drive modules to have steerable wheels. However, both drive modules preferably have steerable wheels, which significantly improves the minimum turning radius and the maneuverability of the construction vehicle, as the wheels of the wheel axles of both drive modules can be steered in opposite directions.

[0011] If both drive modules have steerable wheels, the steering angle of the wheels of one drive module can preferably be controlled independently of the steering angle of the wheels of the other drive module. This enables the tightest curve radii with opposite steering angles, as well as laterally offset driving when the wheels of both drive modules are steered in the same direction. The maneuverability provided by this type of independent control thus enables the use of the construction vehicle in areas where construction vehicles of this size could not previously be used.

[0012] Preferably, a control system for the steering axles of the two drive modules is arranged in the cabin of at least one cabin module, so that both steering axles can be controlled from one cabin. Under very difficult conditions, it is of course also possible for the cabins of both end-mounted cabin modules to be occupied and the vehicle drivers to control only the steering axle of their own drive module, which enables maneuvering even in very difficult situations.

[0013] In an advantageous development of the invention, the drive modules have an approximately cuboid-shaped chassis whose height is less than their width and length. While the width of the construction vehicle is preferably between 2 and 4 m, the length can be varied, as will be explained later, by a central module, so that the total length, including two cabin modules, can vary between 8 m and 16 m. The height of the chassis is preferably between 1.50 m and 2.50 m, in particular around 2 m, which makes it possible to place loads on the chassis without the total height, including the loads placed on the chassis, becoming so high that entry into a tunnel area is no longer possible. In this case, the top side of the chassis is preferably flat or level, and the height of the two drive modules is identical, so that the top side of the two drive modules forms a large, elongated support arrangement.

[0014] Preferably, the first and / or second connecting device are formed by horizontally extending tongue and groove connections in the following manner. The grooves are formed by slots formed on the end faces of the main supports of the drive modules, in particular by double slots arranged side by side with a certain vertical extension. The complementary spring elements are formed by two engagement plates arranged side by side, projecting from the end faces of the module to be connected, e.g., the central module or the cabin module, which penetrate the complementary slots on the end faces of the main supports of the drive modules and are secured there, e.g., by securing bolts. These main beams, preferably two main beams running side by side are installed in the drive module, preferably have a higher vertical extension than horizontal extension transverse to the direction of travel, whereby a high degree of rigidity is achieved in the load direction of the construction vehicle.

[0015] The connection position of the tongue and groove joints is then preferably realized by the locking bolts, which penetrate aligned recesses in the main supports of the drive modules and in the engagement plates of the other modules, thus creating a rigid connection between the two modules to be connected. The overall equipment complexity can be reduced if the first connecting device and the second connecting device are identical, so that ultimately all modules—that is, the drive modules, the cabin modules, and subsequently mentioned additional modules, such as lifting modules or crane modules—can be rigidly and securely coupled to one another using an identical connecting device.

[0016] In an advantageous development of the invention, at least one of the two drive modules has individually suspended wheels and / or individually driven wheels. Independent wheel suspension and individual drive for each wheel, i.e., all-wheel drive for the entire construction vehicle, significantly improves maneuverability on uneven surfaces and under difficult driving conditions.

[0017] The construction vehicle preferably has a central module that can be connected between the two drive modules, wherein this central module preferably has support plates for the transport of heavy loads. The central module thus has purely mechanical functions, namely the coupling of the two drive modules and the provision of support plates for heavy loads. For example, tunnel formwork elements can be placed on this central module. As already indicated, the construction vehicle has a load capacity of, for example, 32 t. In particular, it can be provided for the construction vehicle to have central modules of different lengths, whereby the overall length of the vehicle and, of course, also the size of the support surface can be varied. The construction vehicle can thus be precisely adapted to the specific requirements of a tunnel construction project or any other construction project.

[0018] In an advantageous development of the invention, the construction vehicle has a lifting module with vertical hydraulic support cylinders for connecting the cabin module and the drive module. Thus, in a symmetrical construction vehicle with two cabin modules, such lifting modules are provided at each of the two longitudinal ends between the drive modules and the cabin modules, allowing containers or standardized support elements to be accommodated by the hydraulic support cylinders. The lifting module can also be integrated into the cabin module.

[0019] In a further advantageous development of the invention, the construction vehicle has a crane module with at least one hydraulically actuated pivoting support arm for connecting the cabin module on the one hand and the drive module or the lifting module on the other. Such a crane module can thus be arranged at the two longitudinal ends of the construction vehicle between the respective drive module and the cabin module or lifting module, resulting in a parallel support arm construction through the two crane modules, which enables the lifting of high and heavy loads. For this purpose, each crane module preferably has laterally extendable support cylinders for support on the ground in order to prevent the construction vehicle from tipping when lifting even the heaviest loads from the side. The crane module can optionally also be integrated with the lifting module and / or the cabin module.

[0020] Preferably, the chassis of the drive modules extend vertically upwards on the end face facing the central module. The central module then preferably has vertically upwardly projecting stiffening struts that rest against the vertical sections of the drive modules on the end face, thereby achieving high rigidity in the load direction (from above).

[0021] Needless to say, the construction vehicle can be used not only for tunnel construction, but also for bridge construction and other constructions in narrow and difficult conditions.

[0022] The following terms are used synonymously: modules - drive modules, cabin modules, lifting modules, crane modules; vehicle longitudinal axis - direction of travel; first connecting device - second connecting device - connecting device;

[0023] It is obvious to the person skilled in the art that the above-described embodiments of the invention can be combined with each other in any way, as long as they do not contradict each other.

[0040] Fig. 17 is a diagram showing an embodiment with a jib crane module on both cabin modules, and

[0041] Fig. 18 is a picture showing a slewing crane module on a cabin module with integrated support hydraulics.

[0042] Figures 1 to 3 show a construction vehicle 10 consisting of a first drive module 12 and a second drive module 14, which are coupled together via a central module 15. At their longitudinal ends, both drive modules 12, 14 have a cabin module 16a, 16b, so that the construction vehicle 10 can drive in both directions with front-wheel drive.

[0043] Each of the two drive modules 12, 14 contains a wheel axle with individually driven and steerable wheels 13, so that the construction vehicle is an all-wheel-drive vehicle with two steerable axles, which can preferably also be steered independently of each other. This allows for negotiating even the tightest curve radii or laterally offset driving if the wheels of both drive modules 12, 14 have the same steering angle. However, at least one of the drive modules can also have multiple wheel axles.

[0044] Each of the two drive modules 12, 14 contains a cuboid chassis 34 whose height is less than their width and length. The top side 29 of the chassis 34 of each drive module 12, 14 is thus preferably at a height of approximately 2 m, while each drive module 12, 14 preferably has a width between 1.8 m and 3 m and a length of 2 m to 5 m. Taking into account the cabin modules 16a, 16b, this results in a total length of the vehicle between 10 m and 18 m, depending on the length of the central module and whether the cabin modules are equipped with additional lifting or crane modules.

[0045] It is of course possible to design the two drive modules 12, 14 identically. In the present case, however, the first drive module 12 is designed as a service module and has an electrical and hydraulic supply for the construction vehicle 10, while, for example, more drive or control components can be arranged in the second drive module 14. Each drive module 12, 14 has a wheel axle with steerable wheels 13.

[0046] Each cabin module 16a, 16b has a cabin 20 that can be moved transversely to the vehicle's longitudinal axis on a horizontal carriage guide 18. The cabin 20 is held on a carriage of the carriage guide via a height-adjustable mechanism 22, allowing the cabin 20 to be moved laterally and vertically relative to the drive modules 12, 14. This allows the construction vehicle 10 to negotiate tight curves or even very rough terrain.

[0047] Furthermore, each cabin module 16a, 16b has an integrated lifting module 24 with two external vertical support cylinders 26a, b, so that four vertical hydraulic support cylinders 26a, b are provided on the construction vehicle 10 in a rectangular configuration, by which heavy containers or support platforms can be lifted and lowered. The lifting module 24 can also be designed separately from the cabin module 16a, b and likewise connected to it via a first / second connecting device.

[0048] As can be better seen in the exploded view of the construction vehicle in Fig. 2, the central module 15 has support plates 28 for supporting heavy loads. Furthermore, the end faces 27 of the chassis 29 of the drive modules 12, 14 facing the central module 15 extend vertically. The central module 15 is supported on these end faces 27 by vertically upwardly projecting stiffening struts 17, thereby improving the overall rigidity of the construction vehicle 10. The support plates 28 of the central module, particularly in conjunction with the support plates 25 of the cabin modules 16a, 16b, thus create low-lying supports, particularly for transporting heavy loads in the tunnel area, e.g., formwork elements (Fig. 17). It should be noted here that the support plates 28 of the central module and the support plates of the cabin modules 16a, 16b are arranged significantly lower than the top side 29 of the chassis 34 of the two drive modules 12, 14, e.g.at a height of about 1 m, so that carried loads do not protrude too high upwards, which is particularly important in cramped tunnel conditions.

[0049] Fig. 3 shows the construction vehicle according to Fig. 1 in a side view. It is clearly visible here that a low support surface 25 is formed in the cabin modules 16a, b between the horizontal carriage 22 and the lifting module 24, which is at the same height as the support plates 28 of the central module 16. In this way, a very low support is formed for formwork parts and other construction elements to be transported, which means that the overall height of the construction vehicle 10 with loaded parts does not become too high.

[0050] Fig. 3 also clearly shows the provision of vertical support struts 17 on the front side of the central module 15, which rest against the vertical, facing end walls 27 of the two drive modules 12, 14, thus ensuring high rigidity and torsional rigidity even when subjected to heavy loads. Fig. 5 illustrates these components once again in an exploded view.

[0051] Fig. 2 and 4 show more clearly the connecting device 36 between the drive modules 12, 14, the cabin modules 16a, 16b and the central module 15.

[0052] Each drive module 12, 14 has two side-by-side longitudinal beams 38a, 38b (see especially Figures 7 and 8), which are connected to each other via the support strut 39 of the wheels 13 and thus form the main beam and thus the supporting frame of the drive modules 12, 14. These two longitudinal beams 38a, 38b extend from the inner end face 27 to the outer end face 30 of the drive modules 12, 14.

[0053] At their front ends, the longitudinal members 38a, 38b have two horizontally arranged slots 40a, 40b that extend in the longitudinal direction of the vehicle. The slots 40a, 40b are thus open at the front ends of the longitudinal members 38a, 38b and thus serve as the groove of the connecting device 36, which is designed as a tongue and groove system.

[0054] On the opposite side, the central module 15 and the two cabin modules 16a, 16b each have two projecting engagement plates 42a, 42b on their sides opposite the slots, which engage snugly and positively in the slots 40a, 40b at the ends of the longitudinal beams 38a, 38b. In this way, a firm and rigid mechanical connection is realized between the drive modules 12, 14 on the one hand and the central module 15 or the cabin module 16a, 16b on the other. In the connected position, the engagement plates 42a, 42b are almost completely received in the slots 40a, 40b. This connected position of the mechanical connecting device 36 is secured for each longitudinal beam 38a, 38b by an upper locking pin 46o and a lower locking pin 46u.In the connected position, these two locking pins 46o, 46u penetrate the aligned upper and lower horizontal recesses 43o, 43u in the longitudinal members, as well as corresponding recesses 44o, 44u in the engagement plates 42a, 42b. The recesses 43o, 43u in the longitudinal members 38a, 38b, as well as the recesses 44o, 44u in the engagement plates 42a, 42b, are aligned in the connected position and can then be penetrated by the two locking pins 46o, 46u, whereby the connecting device 36 is then in a secured connected position.

[0055] Fig. 4 shows the design of the first connecting device 36 between the drive module 12, 14 and the cabin module 16a, 16b, which first connecting device in the exemplary embodiment is identical to the second connecting device 36 between the drive module 12, 14 and the central module 15.

[0056] Fig. 5 shows a perspective view of the outer front end 30 of a drive module 12, 14 with the associated parts of the connecting device 36, namely central supports 38a, 38b of the drive modules 12, 14 each having two slots 40a, 40b for connection to the cabin module 16a,b as well as the upper and lower horizontal recesses 43o, 43u in the longitudinal supports for the locking pins 46o, 46u (Fig. 4) for the connecting position of the connecting device 36.Also visible is the design of the drive modules 12, 14 with a cubic chassis 34, which surrounds all essential elements, namely drive elements, hydraulic and electrical elements 49 or the electrical and hydraulic supply 51 of the drive module 12, 14, in a dust and dirt-proof manner, wherein the chassis 33 forms a flat surface 29 which is at a relatively low height, so that transported loads can be transported at a very low height, which is necessary under confined tunnel construction conditions. Fig. 6 shows the first drive module 12 in a perspective view obliquely from below, specifically from the central end face 27. It can clearly be seen that the longitudinal beams 38a, b extend over the entire length of the drive module 12, 14 and thus protrude to the two end faces 27, 30 of the drive module 12, 14. The two longitudinal members 38a, 38b are connected to each other via a support strut 39 for the wheels 13.At the longitudinal ends of the longitudinal beams 38a, 38b, two slots 40a, 40b are arranged for the engagement plates 42a, 42b of the cabin modules 16a, 16b (Fig. 13) and the central module 15 (Fig. 9). The two wheels 13 are steerable via a corresponding steering mechanism 48. The chassis 34 provides space for the drive and control components 49.

[0057] In an analogous manner, Fig. 7 shows an oblique perspective view from below of the second drive module 14, also with steering mechanism 48 for the two wheels 13, wherein this second drive module 14 is designed as a service unit which houses the electrical and hydraulic supply 51 of the construction vehicle in the chassis 34 in a manner protected from dirt.

[0058] Fig. 8 shows the end view of a drive module 12, 14 with the drive module-side part of the connecting device 36, which is formed by the slots 40a, 40b, which engage or mesh with projecting engagement plates 42a,b of the central module 16 (Fig. 10) or the cabin module (Fig. 14) and are secured in their interlocked connection position by the securing bolts 46o, 46u.

[0059] Fig. 9 shows the basic structure of the central module 15. The central module consists of two main beams 19a, 19b running in the longitudinal direction of the construction vehicle, which are aligned with the longitudinal beams 38a, 38b of the drive modules 12, 14. On the two end faces of the main beams 19a, 19b, two projecting engagement plates 42a, 42b are arranged as part of the connecting device 36 on the central module side, which, in the connected position of the connecting device 36, penetrate the slots 40a, 40b of the drive modules on both end faces. This connection position is secured by means of locking bolts 46o, 46u (Fig. 4), which pass through the aligned recesses 43o, 43u of the drive modules 12, 14 and the corresponding recesses 44o, 44u of the central module or the cabin module.

[0060] Fig. 10a and Fig. 10b show two different central modules 15a, 15b with different lengths of the main beams 19a, 19b, so that depending on the loads to be transported, a longer wheelbase results between the two drive modules 12, 14 and thus a different overall length of the construction vehicle 10.

[0061] Fig. 11, 12 and 13 show the cabin modules 16a, 16b in more detail.

[0062] The square directional arrow in Fig. 11 indicates that the cabin 20 is adjustable both laterally, i.e., transversely to the direction of travel of the construction vehicle 10, and in height, using the horizontal guide 18 and the height adjustment mechanism 22 (Fig. 13). Fig. 13 also shows a steering wheel 50 and foot pedals 52 for operating the motor of the drive modules 12, 14, which is preferably designed as a heavy-duty diesel engine, as well as the steering of the drive modules 12, 14. In principle, both drive modules 12, 14 can have their own drive, or alternatively, only one of the two drive modules 12, 14 has a drive motor and couples the drive energy to the second drive module via a shaft. This can be clearly seen in Fig.11 to 13 is also the design of the lifting module 24, consisting of a support structure running transversely to the vehicle's longitudinal axis, at the two longitudinal ends of which vertical support cylinders 26a, b are arranged, so that a total of four of these support cylinders 26a, 26b are formed by both cabin modules 16a, 16b at the two ends of the construction vehicle 10, which are capable of lifting containers and heavy support platforms (Fig. 15 and 18) and thus transporting them. It should be noted here that the lifting module 24 can also be designed as a separate module, which can be connected to the cabin module 16a, 16b in the same way as a drive module 12, 14 via the connecting device 36. In this case, a slot arrangement 40a, 40b must be provided on the other side of the lifting module 24, as is shown in Figs. 4 to 8 at the ends of the longitudinal beams 38a, 38b of the drive modules 12, 14.

[0063] The image in Fig. 14 shows the lateral movement (see arrow) of the cabin 20 along the horizontal slide guide 18 to the inner radius of a tight curve, which significantly reduces the curve radius of the construction vehicle.

[0064] Fig. 15 shows the operation of the vertical support cylinders 26a, 26b for lifting and lowering heavy loads, in this case a support frame for construction materials. The operation of the vertical support cylinders 26a, 26b can be controlled via a remote control 55, possibly even with the engine of the construction vehicle 10 switched off.

[0065] Fig. 16 shows the importance of the low-lying support plates 25 of the cabin modules and 28 of the central module for transporting tunnel formwork elements 56. Due to the low support plates 25, 28, the tunnel formwork elements do not protrude as high, which can be crucial for the accessibility of a lower tunnel area.

[0066] Fig. 17 shows a jib crane module 58 which is arranged on the cabin module 16a, 16b between the lifting module 24 and the horizontal slide guide 24. Here, a jib crane module 58 with a swivel arm 61 that can be swiveled transversely to the vehicle's longitudinal axis is arranged on each cabin module 16a, 16b, so that the swivel arms 61 of the two jib crane modules 58 on both sides of the drive modules 12, 14 can lift heavy loads, such as a construction container 59, onto the upper sides 29 of the chassis 34 of the drive modules 12, 14 and from there lower them and set them down.

[0067] Alternatively, according to Fig. 18, a slewing crane module 60 can be arranged on each cabin module 16a, 16b (in the illustrated embodiment, only on one cabin module 16b) or between the cabin module 16a, 16b and the drive module 12, 14. This slewing crane module 60 contains a rotatable, multi-link lifting arm 63 and a support device 62 with vertical support cylinders 64. By means of the slewing crane module 60, loads can be lifted from both sides of the construction vehicle 10 either onto the upper side 29 of the chassis 34 of the drive modules 12, 14 or onto a support frame 54 for building materials, which is supported on the vertical support cylinders 26a, 26b of the lifting modules 24.

[0068] The invention is not limited to the illustrated embodiment, but can be varied within the scope of the claims. It should be noted again here that the cabin module 16a, 16b can integrate both the lifting module 24 and the jib crane module 58 and / or the rotary crane module 60, optionally with a lateral support device 62. However, these modules 24, 58, 60 can also be formed separately from the cabin module 16a, 16b and connected to the drive modules 12, 14 via the connecting device 36. The modular system of the construction vehicle 10 of the present invention enables a highly customized configuration of the construction vehicle according to the requirements prevailing at the tunnel or construction site, thus offering a tailor-made solution for all arising requirements.
