Repair kit device for placing sealing members
[0001] The present disclosure relates to a repair kit device for placing a sealing member.
[0002] An electronic device may include a sealing member. The sealing member may reduce or prevent external contaminants, such as moisture and / or dust, from entering the interior of the electronic device.
[0003] The above information may be provided as background art to aid in understanding the present disclosure. No claim or determination is made as to whether any of the above-described matters constitute prior art related to the present disclosure.
[0004] Users may find it difficult to manually apply a sealant evenly across a narrow area. Manual application can lead to the sealant extending beyond the specified area or failing to form a consistent width or height. This can lead to interference between the two components joined together across the sealant, potentially damaging the sealant itself, and ultimately, resulting in poor waterproofing or dustproofing.

[0115] According to various embodiments, the designated space (820) and the slit (830) may include a plurality of curved regions (not shown separately) extended so as not to interfere with the plurality of screw supports (1121, 1122, 1123, 1124) of the second cover (112). The plurality of curved portions (21) of the sealing member (2) may be formed by the plurality of curved regions.
[0116] According to various embodiments, a user may inject a liquid adhesive material (e.g., a liquid gasket (CIPG)) (930) into a designated space (820) of a second recess (R2) by placing a tip of the syringe (910) or a tip of a needle (911) connected to the tip into a first gap (831) of a slit (830) of the second recess (R2) and then moving the syringe (910) along the slit (830) to inject the liquid adhesive material (930) into the designated space (820). The designated space (820) can guide the injection of the liquid adhesive material (930) so that the liquid adhesive material (930) can be disposed in a substantially designated shape (e.g., a first height (H1) and a first width (W1)) and a designated amount (or volume) on the first designated area (101) of the second cover (112).
[0117] According to various embodiments, the second gap (832) of the slit (830) having a second width (W2) widening in the first direction (301) can guide the user to easily position the tip of the syringe (910) or a needle (911) connected to the tip into the first gap (831) of the slit (830).
[0118] According to various embodiments, a user may use a scraper (920) to scrape away and remove the liquid adhesive material (930) that has overflowed from the designated space (820) into the slit (830), or to push the liquid adhesive material (930) into an unfilled area of the designated space (820). The scraper (920) may be provided (or formed) to fit into the cross-sectional shape of the slit (830) and move along the slit (830).
[0119] According to various embodiments, the slit (830) may be provided (or formed) in the form of an expanded second gap (832) replacing the first gap (831). The slit (830) may be provided (or formed) in a cross-sectional shape that becomes wider as it goes from the designated space (820) in the first direction (301), for example.
[0120] According to various embodiments, after filling a liquid adhesive material (930) into a designated space (820), the repair kit device (3) may be separated from the second cover (112), so that a sealing member (2) disposed on the second cover (112) may be formed. When the second cover (112) is coupled to the side (113) (see FIG. 2), the shape (e.g., height and width) of the sealing member (2) may be different compared to before the coupling between the second cover (112) and the side (113) because the distance between the second cover (112) and the side (113) is smaller than the first height (H1) of the sealing member (2). The repair kit device (3) can reduce interference between the second cover (112) and the side (113) and damage to the sealing member (2) caused by the interference by allowing the sealing member (2) to be disposed in a substantially designated shape and designated amount (or volume) in a first designated area (101) of the second cover (112) in a coupled state between the second cover (112) and the side (113). The sealing member (2) can have a modulus that can reduce breakage between the second cover (112) and the side (113).
[0121] According to various embodiments, when the repair kit device (3) is separated from the second cover (112) after filling the designated space (820) with a liquid adhesive material (930), the first side wall (811) of the first guide member (32) and the second side wall (812) of the second guide member (33) may be coated with a lubricating material so as to be smoothly separated from the liquid adhesive material (930).
[0122] According to various embodiments, when the repair kit device (3) is separated from the second cover (112) after filling the designated space (820) with a liquid adhesive material (930), the liquid adhesive material (930) may have properties (e.g., viscosity and / or modulus) that enable it to be easily separated from the first side wall (811) of the first guide member (32) and the second side wall (812) of the second guide member (33).
[0123] According to various embodiments, at least a portion of the first guide member (32) and the second guide member (33) may be substantially transparent. This allows the user to see that the liquid adhesive material (930) has been injected into the designated space (820), thereby facilitating the seamless filling of the designated space (820) with the liquid adhesive material (930).
[0124] According to various embodiments, the repair kit device (3) can be separated from the second cover (112) after the liquid adhesive material (930) filled in the designated space (820) is cured. The curing can enable the liquid adhesive material (930) to be easily separated from the first guide member (32) and the second guide member (33). The curing can be performed so as not to reduce the adhesion of the sealing member (2) to the side (113) (see FIG. 2) below a defective level. The curing can be, for example, a method of irradiating light of a designated frequency band (e.g., ultraviolet), and implementing the first guide member (32) and the second guide member (33) to be substantially projected can facilitate the curing.
[0125] FIG. 11 is a perspective view showing a repair kit device (3), a second cover (112) positioned corresponding to the repair kit device (3), and a sealing member (2) formed through the repair kit device (3) according to various embodiments of the present disclosure.
