The application provides a pipetting control method and device, the method comprising: determining a pipetting type, a pipetting speed of a pipetting device, a target pipetting volume, an initial liquid volume of a target liquid container, and a container type of the target liquid container; determining a target liquid level height function matched with the container type of the target liquid container according to a liquid level height function corresponding to each container type in a configuration; determining a liquid level height difference of the target liquid container before and after pipetting based on the pipetting type, the target pipetting volume, and the initial liquid volume, and in combination with the target liquid level height function; determining a moving direction and a moving speed of a pipetting tip of the pipetting device based on the liquid level height difference, the target pipetting volume, the pipetting speed, and the pipetting type; and controlling the pipetting tip of the pipetting device to pipette the target liquid container according to the moving direction and the moving speed. The application can reduce the liquid volume deviation of the pipetting device in the pipetting process.
