Description

[0001] MULTI-PURPOSE TRANSPORTABLE MODULAR SHED

[0002] Field of Invention

[0003] The present invention relates to sentry boxes, huts or shaded points for hydration and first aid, specifically to a multipurpose transportable modular hut for a shaded point, emergency station and hydration point to be located at a mining site.

[0004] Background of the Invention

[0005] The following discussion of the prior art is intended to present the invention in an appropriate technical context and allow its advantages to be properly appreciated. However, unless clearly indicated otherwise, reference to any prior art in this specification should not be construed as an express or implied admission that such art is widely known or forms part of common general knowledge in the field of modular portable shelters, booths, or shade points for use at mining operations where their use is required.

[0006] A shade and hydration point, also called hydration centers or hydration zones, are places where workers and operators of a mining operation go to replenish the liquids lost during their workday, usually subjected to inclement weather and, in summer, to high temperatures in the environment. In addition, the booth of the invention allows its use as an emergency station.

[0007] In the prior art, reference should be made to US Patent No. US11167915B1, which relates to a multipurpose relocatable structure, which includes a floor system, a frame secured to the floor system, and walls coupled to the frame. The walls include a series of panels secured along adjacent vertical edges. The multipurpose relocatable structure may include a preconfigured interior, one or more doors having an emergency escape hatch, a protected electrical connector, an environmental control system configurable between operational and transport configurations, and lifting corners having safety openings.

[0008] Another example is found in German patent publication No. DE202009002015U1 , which relates to an office container, comprising a floor with longitudinal and transverse beams, a roof with longitudinal and transverse beams, corner posts and wall elements, windows, doors and corner pieces at the corners of the container, the floor being releasably connected to the roof via the corner posts and the corner pieces to the floor or the roof and having joints on which the corner posts rest.

[0009] Yet another example is found in U.S. Patent Publication No. US11149462B1 , which relates to a modular shelter system including a floor panel having a first curved surface along a side edge on an upper side of the floor panel and a first interior surface located within the first curved surface. The modular shelter system further includes a wall panel having a second curved surface along a lower end of the wall panel, wherein the second curved surface is configured to rotate relative to the first curved surface, and wherein the second curved surface is configured to mate with the first curved surface. The wall panel further has a second interior surface located within the second curved surface, wherein the second interior surface is configured to mate with the first interior surface when the wall panel is erected on the floor panel.

[0010] Therefore, there is still a need for a modular, efficient, easy-to-assemble, and transportable hut that can solve the operational problems that can arise when installing a non-modular hut at a mining site.

[0011] Summary of the Invention

[0012] The present invention seeks to reduce the installation and location costs of a hut at a mining site compared to other, more expensive systems that provide similar functionality. To this end, a multipurpose, transportable modular hut will be used as a shade point, emergency station, and hydration point. It is open on its front face or elevation, structured by metal pillars and beams, with the rear and side faces covered in plywood panels, and fully equipped as a hydration point and medical emergency hut.

[0013] The transportable multipurpose modular shelter, used as a shade shelter, emergency station, and hydration point, to be located at a mining site for the various projects carried out at a mining site, complies with Standard D.594, Regulation on Basic Sanitary and Environmental Conditions in the Workplace. The designed shelter is modular and transportable to the required installation location. It is additionally supported and tested by a structural calculation report, fully complying with the standards for seismic, structural, steel, welding, and construction design.

[0014] The hut has the specific dimensions required by a mining operation, so that it can accommodate the items and equipment necessary for its intended purpose. In the case of the invention, the development of a shade hut, which can serve as an emergency station and hydration point.

[0015] Rectangular-shaped cabin, formed by a structure of metal pillars and beams formed by a box profile, covered in plywood sheets, on its left side, rear and right side faces, its front face is completely open along its entire height and length, on its exterior faces it is also covered in plywood sheets.

[0016] By opening from the front, it prevents the risk of being trapped inside due to an emergency.

[0017] Currently, for locating an emergency and hydration point at a mining site, only a portable panel with wheels, made of a metal structure, is used. It carries on its surface some implements to provide first aid to an operator who has suffered an accident. Additionally, shade and hydration points are not very well known. The object of the invention is to provide a multipurpose transportable modular shelter for a shade point, emergency station, and hydration point, which meets all the previous requirements in a single location.

[0018] This and other objectives, which will be apparent below, are achieved by means of the system of the present invention, as defined in claim 1.

[0019] A number of non-exhaustive embodiments, variants or alternatives of the invention are defined by means of the dependent claims.

[0020] A multipurpose transportable modular shelter, for a shade point, emergency station and hydration point, aimed at:

[0021] • Mining operations

[0022] • Mining camps
