Stage device and exposure apparatus

A stage device suitable for exposure apparatus used to produce semiconductor devices, is movable in an area wider than the measurement area of interferometer for position measurement, and is capable of measuring the position with high precision. When a movable stage moves from the position where the laser beams from laser interferometers are not applied into the measurement area of the laser interferometer, the position of reference mark is measured by a wafer alignment sensor, and the measurement value measured by the laser interferometer is corrected based on the results of the measurement by the wafer alignment sensor. When another movable stage enters the measurement area of the laser interferometer, the position of the reference mark is similarly measured by a wafer alignment sensor, and the measurement value measured by the laser interferometer is corrected based on the results of the measurement by the wafer alignment sensor.

User interface for an electronic trading system

A user interface for an electronic trading exchange is provided which allows a remote trader to view in real time bid orders, offer orders, and trades for an item, and optionally one or more sources of contextual data. Individual traders place orders on remote client terminals, and this information is routed to a transaction server. The transaction server receives order information from the remote terminals, matches a bid for an item to an offer for an item responsive to the bid corresponding with the offer, and communicates outstanding bid and offer information, and additional information (such as trades and contextual data) back to the client terminals. Each client terminal displays all of the outstanding bids and offers for an item, allowing the trader to view trends in orders for an item. A priority view is provided in which orders are displayed as tokens at locations corresponding to the values of the orders. The size of the tokens reflects the quantity of the orders. An alternate view positions order icons at a location which reflects the value and quantity of the order. Additionally, contextual data for the item is also displayed to allow the trader to consider as much information as possible while making transaction decisions. A pit panel view is also provided in which traders connected to the pit are represented by icons, and are displayed corresponding to an activity level of the trader.

Method and apparatus for building and using multi-dimensional index trees for multi-dimensional data objects

A method and apparatus are provided for building a searchable multi-dimensional index tree that indexes a plurality of data objects. In one aspect of the invention, the index tree divides dataspace into three subspaces and indexes the data objects using a single dimension. If too many data objects map to the same point in that dimension, the dimension is switched to a new dimension of the data object and the data object is indexed using the new dimension. A split node having a split value is used to keep track of the indexing. In another aspect of the invention, the index tree divides dataspace into two subspaces, and equal bits are used in the split nodes to track the content of the data objects in the subspaces. If too many data objects sharing the same key within the same dimension map to a single point, then the dimension is switched to a new dimension and the data objects are indexed using the new dimension. Also disclosed is the multi-dimensional index tree itself as well as a router that uses the multi-dimensional index tree of the present invention to provide packet classification functions.

System and method for searching peer-to-peer computer networks by selecting a computer based on at least a number of files shared by the computer

A method and system for intelligently directing a search of a peer-to-peer network, in which a user performing a search is assisted in choosing a host which is likely to return fast, favorable results to the user. A host monitor monitors the peer-to-peer network and collects data on various characteristics of the hosts which make up the network. Thereafter, a host selector ranks the hosts using the data, and passes this information to the user. The user then selects one or more of the highly-ranked hosts as an entry point into the network. Additionally, a cache may collect a list of hosts based on the content on the hosts. In this way, a user may choose to connect to a host which is known to contain information relevant to the user's search. The host selector may be used to select from among the hosts listed in the cache.

Composite structures, such as coated wiring assemblies, having integral fiber optic-based condition detectors and systems which employ the same

InactiveUS7154081B1Weakening rangeReducing compressive strainControlRadiation pyrometryElectrical conductorGrating
Integral fiber optic-based condition sensors detect conditions of a composite structure, e.g., a coated wire assembly so as to detect damage or conditions that may damage the same. Preferably, at least one optical fiber sensor having a plurality of Bragg gratings written into the fiber at spaced-apart locations along its axial length is integrated into the electrical insulator coating of a wire, wire bundle or wiring harness. The fiber optic sensor may thus be employed to measure the environmental loads on the electrical wiring including stresses from bending, axial loading, pinch points, high temperature excursions and chemical damage. The system is capable of detecting and locating transient conditions that might cause damage to a wiring system or permanent changes in state associated with damage events. The residual stress in the electrical insulator coating of a wire, wire bundle, or wiring harness are used to monitor the evolution of damage by wear or chaffing processes. Detected stress relief on one or more Bragg gratings will thus be indicative of damage to the insulator coating on the conductor. As such, the magnitude of such stress relief may be detected and used as an alert that the wire insulation is damaged to an unsafe extent.
