1161 results about "Rf transmission" patented technology

Radio Frequency (rf) transmission uses radio waves like radio or television signals to transmit audio via a carrier from a transmitter to a receiver.

System and method for home automation using wireless control rf remocon module based on network

A home automation system using an infrared (IR)/radio frequency (RF) integration remote control module based on a network. At least one IR/RF integration remote control module (100) is disposed at a predetermined location of a home automation region. The IR/RF integration remote control module (100) with a wireless interface function integrates an RF modulation/reception/transmission function and an IR modulation/reception/transmission. A set-top box (200) is appropriately disposed so that it can carry out an interface function for controlling the IR/RF integration remote control module (100) and a wired/wireless Internet access function. The set-top box (200) receives various control commands over an Internet network using transmission control protocol/Internet protocol (TCP/IP) and controls the IR/RF integration remote control module (100). Even though various pieces of equipment using the conventional IR reception/transmission scheme or a new electronic product equipped with an RF module is added to the home automation system using an RF modulation scheme, an automation operation and a bidirectional control operation based on the integrated IR and RF transmission scheme can be appropriately carried out. Thus, the home automation system and method can be cost-effectively and conveniently implemented.

Loading Control Methods And Apparatus For Wireless Access Points Of Wireless Local Area Networks In Support Of Legacy Terminals

Methods and apparatus for use in controlling the loading of wireless access points (APs) in a wireless local area network (WLAN) in support of legacy terminals are disclosed. The WLAN has at least a first AP and a second wireless AP adjacent the first wireless AP. An indication which indicates whether a loading of the second wireless AP is greater than a predetermined threshold is identified. When the indication indicates thai the loading is greater than the predetermined threshold, a first nominal radio frequency (RF) transmission power of the first wireless AP is increased in order to increase a first RF coverage area of the first wireless AP. A second nominal RF transmission power of the second wireless AP is correspondingly reduced in order to reduce a second RF coverage area of the second wireless AP. In response, some of the mobile communication devices initially operating with the second wireless AP are switched to operate with the first wireless AP in order to reduce the loading of the second wireless AP. The techniques may be embodied in a centralized approach where transmission control equipment of the WLAN controls each wireless APs in this manner, or alternatively in a distributed non-centralized approach where each wireless AP acts independently and autonomously in the same or similar manner. Preferably, the techniques do not require the functional requirements of mobile devices to modified and therefore are suitable for use with existing legacy devices.

Method for Transmitting and Receiving Uplink Sounding Reference Signal, Base Station and Mobile Terminal

The field of wireless communications is related, especially the technique of transmitting uplink sounding reference signal (SRS) by a mobile terminal with multiple transmission antennas is related. A method for receiving uplink sounding reference signal includes the following steps: receiving the SRS signals, which are respectively transmitted from respective radio frequency transmission modules of the mobile terminal according to the respectively allocated Transmission Comb (TC) values and Cyclic Shift (CS) values when the transmission period arrives, wherein TC values and/or CS values allocated for any two radio frequency transmission modules are different; determining the radio frequency transmission module corresponding to every received SRS signal according to the TC values and CS values respectively allocated for respective radio frequency transmission modules. A device for receiving uplink sounding reference signal, a method and a device for transmitting uplink sounding reference signal are also provided. Because different TC values and/or different CS values are allocated for respective radio frequency transmission modules, (multiple) radio frequency transmission modules can transmit SRS signals through (multiple) transmission antennas during the same transmission period by way of Frequency Division Multiplex (FDM) or Code Division Multiplex (CDM).
