Abstract
Description
Profile for mounting a suspended ceiling with a level transition
[0001] Profile for mounting a suspended ceiling with a level transition
[0002] The invention is used in construction and relates to the design of multi-level suspended ceilings and, in particular, for the transition of ceiling levels.
[0003] Ceiling level transitions are used for decorative, structural and technical purposes, including the creation of multi-level ceilings, the formation of niches and grooves for the installation of lighting fixtures, curtain rods, ventilation systems, etc.
[0004] Profiles for mounting suspended ceilings are an extended structure, characterized by a complex cross-section, ensuring the installation, assembly and performance of technical and aesthetic functions of the suspended ceiling during operation.
[0005] For example, an invention is known according to patent EA 027952 with priority dated 05.12.2014. A profile for fastening a stretched web, box-shaped with an upper shelf for fastening to the ceiling, comprising a front face and a rear wall with projections, two longitudinal U-shaped or V-shaped cavities for placing and fastening in them the harpoons of the horizontal and vertical web, which are provided with external projections along the upper and lower edges of the said cavities and delimit an open cavity on the wall from the front side, characterized in that the rear wall in the lower part has a rounded cylindrical shape, and the profile also contains a cavity for installing lighting elements, and the edges of the upper and lower edges of the longitudinal grooves of the U-shaped or V-shaped are made in the form of cylindrical projections and protrude from the front side of the front wall above the plane of the profile by the amount of the radius of the cylindrical projection. In this case, the cavities for fixing the upper and lower panels are located in the upper part of the box-type profile, and have at least one vertical wall, in the upper part of which 2 cavities are made for fixing the panels of the upper and lower levels. In this case, the horizontal plane of the lower ceiling is determined by the rounded lower protrusion of the profile, and the vertical wall is closed by the vertical part of the lower panel, bent over the lower rib and fixed in the lower of the 2 cavities.
[0006] A profile with a ceiling level transition is also known under the patent for utility model of the Russian Federation 178250, with priority from 27.11.2017. The profile comprises an inclined open cavity on the front side, longitudinally divided into 2 parts by a partition equipped with fixing protrusions, front and rear vertical walls, a lower wall connecting the front and rear outer walls, wherein the front wall has a vertical section protruding upward beyond the boundary of the connection of the front wall with the lower inclined wall limiting the open cavity; the edge of the lower inclined wall closest to the front surface is bent downwards. Thus, this profile also has 2 cavities with protrusions for fixing harpoons of stretch ceilings of different levels in the cavities. These cavities are also located in the upper part of the profile. The front part of the profile is also closed by a part of the fabric of the lower level stretch ceiling, bent over the lower rounded edge of the profile.
[0007] The closest in technical essence is the profile for mounting a multi-level stretch ceiling according to the patent for utility model of the Russian Federation 158202, with priority of 06.08.2015. In this patent, the profile for mounting a multi-level stretch ceiling contains two open cavities in which internal projections for fastening fixing harpoons, front and rear vertical mutually parallel external surfaces are located. The lower projection is located below the open cavities, or more precisely, on the lower end of the front wall, while the open cavities located in the upper part of the front wall are made spaced vertically, and in the gap between the open cavities spaced vertically there is a flat vertically oriented surface for placing lighting. Here, the front surface of the profile is also covered by a part of the stretch ceiling sheet.
[0008] This solution has certain disadvantages:
[0009] In such structures, a gap is formed between the webs of different levels, at least by the width of the cavity for fixing the harpoons, which must be additionally closed. In this case, damage may occur on the outer edges of the cavities when installing the plug on the bends of the web. Such gaps are often used to place light elements. Defects can also occur due to heating of the profile and web by the light elements and expansion of the tension web, as well as the difference in the coefficients of thermal expansion of the web material (PVC) and the profile material (aluminum).
[0010] When using lighting covered by a sheet, when replacing the lighting or servicing, it is necessary to dismantle the entire ceiling. When placing the lighting under the lampshade, the likelihood of damaging the sheet at the bends increases.
[0011] The use of a part of the stretch fabric as an element covering the vertical front part of the profile due to strong static tension creates the possibility of defects forming on the main ceiling if the vertical part is damaged during installation or operation.
[0012] The use of part of the main canvas to form a vertical closing wall determines a single-color design with the horizontal part and in some cases does not allow emphasizing the transition of the ceiling level with color or tonal distinction.
[0013] Thus, in the known technical solutions there is a design flaw and the presence of an open cavity between the vertical part and the ceiling of the upper level, there is a possibility of damage to the vertical part and its impact on the condition of the main canvas, as well as a limitation of design and construction options.
[0014] The stated solutions allow, by introducing an additional structural closing element with its features and corresponding changes in the profile itself, to significantly increase the reliability and durability of stretch ceilings and coverings and significantly expand the options and functionality of stretch ceilings.
[0015] The set of essential features of the invention includes the use of a separate removable closing element made of a hard material and the creation of a cavity for inserting and fixing the tension web by means of a harpoon in the lower part of the profile. In essence, the lower edge of the inclined projection of the lower cavity has a rounded shape and defines the line of the lower ceiling level. The vertical wall of the transition of the level from the lower to the upper is determined by a flat closing element. The means of fixing the closing element are presented in the variants and examples of specific implementation set out below, but nevertheless, in combination they constitute a single inventive concept and provide new properties and functions in solving the problem of transition of the level of the tension ceiling.
[0016] The technical task is to eliminate the shortcomings of known solutions and expand the functional and operational indicators for multi-level suspended ceilings, the installation of niches and channels in such ceilings.
[0017] According to the invention, a profile for mounting a suspended ceiling with a level transition comprises at least one vertical wall, the rear side of which is adapted to the means for fastening the profile to the base surface of the ceiling, and a cavity with a stop for inserting and securing the suspended ceiling sheet by means of a harpoon is formed on the front side. The invention is characterized in that the said cavity with a stop for inserting and securing the suspended ceiling sheet is formed by projections on the vertical wall in the lower part of the profile on the front side, and the lower projection forming the cavity ends with a rounded edge lying in the front plane of the profile and defining the horizontal plane of the suspended ceiling, wherein the profile additionally includes a removable flat closing element with fixing means, and at least one more additional projection is formed on the vertical wall for fixing the closing element, at least partially covering the profile on the front side.
[0018] Additionally, on the vertical wall on the front side, additional protrusions are made for fixing and supporting the closing element.
[0019] The profile is also characterized by the fact that additional fixing protrusions form wedge or fork-type elements corresponding to the type of element for fixing the closing element.
[0020] In a further improvement, the adjacent upper projection of the cavity for fastening the harpoon of the tension web and the lower projection of the forked projection for fixing the closing element are connected by a vertical crossbar, forming a support for the closing element.
[0021] Additionally, in the upper part of the vertical wall, an additional pair of protrusions are made, forming a cavity with a stop for inserting and securing the upper level of the stretch ceiling using a harpoon.
[0022] When using a false ceiling as the upper level ceiling, an additional pair of projections are made in the upper part of the vertical wall, forming a cavity for installing the upper level false ceiling. Such solutions can be used to form functional niches, for example, for lighting, hanging curtains, screens and other equipment, where a hard surface is required for installation. The use of a hard closing element in such cases is especially relevant and prevents damage to the stretch ceiling.
[0023] When using an elastic closing element, small projections are made at the ends of the internal projections located on the front surface, and elastic harpoon-shaped projections are made on the closing element for fixing the harpoons of the closing element on the corresponding projections of the profile
[0024] In a variant of a profile for mounting a suspended ceiling with a level transition, in which the profile comprises at least two vertical walls, wherein the rear wall is adapted to the means for fastening the profile to the base surface of the ceiling, characterized in that at least one cavity with a stop for inserting and securing the suspended ceiling sheet by means of a harpoon is made on the front wall, wherein said cavity with a stop for inserting and securing the suspended ceiling sheet is made in the lower part of the profile, and the lower wall of the cavity ends with a rounded edge lying in the plane of the front wall and defining the horizontal plane of the suspended ceiling, wherein the profile additionally includes a removable flat closing element with fixing means, wherein at least one more cavity is made on the front wall for fixing the closing element that closes this wall.
[0025] The said profile is further characterized by the fact that in the middle part of the front wall there is an additional cavity for fixing the closing element, and on the closing element there is a corresponding fixing protrusion.
[0026] The specified profile is also characterized by the fact that in the upper part of the profile, on the side of the front wall, an additional cavity is made for inserting and securing the upper web of the tension web by means of a harpoon.
[0027] Alternatively, an additional cavity is made in the upper part of the profile to secure the upper false ceiling.
[0028] Additionally, the profile is characterized by the fact that on the rear vertical wall of the profile there is a recess for placing and securing an additional bandage.
[0029] In accordance with the claimed set of features of the invention, the location of the cavity for securing the lower ceiling sheet in the lower part of the profile and the use of a flat closing element with fixing elements as a covering for the vertical surface of the ceiling level transition, causes the following positive effects:
[0030] – tight closure of the entire front vertical surface of the level transition;
[0031] - expansion of profile configuration options and combinations of options for the execution of the upper level ceiling.
[0032] - expansion of the possibilities of using a wide range of materials for closing elements, including various forges, metals and composite materials, various coatings and textures and surface shapes.
[0033] – increasing the reliability and protection of the front vertical surface of the ceiling level transition, mechanical and thermal stability;
[0034] – free access to the cavities for fixing the ceilings of both levels during installation and operation, for example, when replacing lighting elements, adjusting them without removing the main ceiling, as well as the possibility of arranging and forming additional technological cavities, channels, etc.;
[0035] - expansion of decorative options and color, light, mirror, matte, profiled and imitation combinations.

[0050] An example of a 2-level stretch ceiling made of a profile with an additional upper cavity, installed on the surface of the base ceiling using an installation corner, and using a closing element with one protrusion is given.
[0051] The claimed invention eliminates the above-described disadvantages, solves the technical problem and creates positive effects.
[0052] Variants of profiles and closing elements are shown in Figures 1-5. In Figure 1, such variant includes several modifications of the closing element 1 made of plastic with harpoon-shaped elements 2 (a)), or with one locking projection 3 (b)), or with two locking projections 13 (d)). The latter two can be made of metal, for example, an aluminum alloy, the outer surface of which can be shiny, matte or anodized. It can also have a coating.
[0053] The profile (c) itself has a vertical wall 4, at the lower end of which there is an inclined projection 5 with a rounded end, on which the lower ceiling sheet bends. In this case, the cavity 6 for inserting and fixing this sheet is formed by an L-shaped projection 7 in combination with projection 5. On the inner surface of the cavity 6, a projection 7 is made for supporting and fixing the harpoon of the lower ceiling sheet.
[0054] Similarly, in the upper part of the profile, a cavity 9 is made for inserting the upper ceiling sheet and fixing it using a harpoon on the protrusion 10.
[0055] The fixation of the closing element with the projection 3 (b)) is carried out in the cavity formed by two closely spaced projections 11. For fixing the closing element with harpoon-shaped projections 2, two additional cavities are made at the end of the lower projection of the cavity 9. The first is for the sequential joining of the profile parts and the second is for inserting the harpoon-shaped projection 2 of the closing element. At the inner end of this cavity and the inner end of the cavity 6, projections 12 are made in opposite longitudinal directions for fixing the harpoon-shaped projections 2.
[0056] On f) the profile is shown assembled according to the Closing element d) and the profile e). For a tight and strong fixation, an elastic element 15 is put on the projection 14, which is elastically deformed and firmly holds the closing element. The harpoon-shaped projections also elastically fix the closing element. It may be clear to a specialist that the described fasteners do not limit the claimed invention and alternative features can also be used.
[0057] In this group of options, the profile has one wall, and the claimed cavities and elements are formed by protrusions on the front side of the wall.
[0058] Naa) to increase the rigidity of the profile structure, crossbars 16 can be made between some projections on the front side, which also perform the function of a strong support for the closing element. On the other hand, a recess 17 can also be made on the rear side of the vertical wall for placing a bandage tape, which strengthens the profile when performing curved ceiling configurations. The profile assembled with the closing element is shown in b).
[0059] In another group of variants, the profiles have two walls and form a box-like structure, and the stated cavities are made as cavities or recesses in the front, face wall 18 and the profile.
[0060] Depending on the type and specifics of the installation of the upper level ceiling, the profiles may differ as follows:
[0061] - When installing the profile on the surface of the base ceiling, the upper cavity is absent ().
[0062] - When using a stretch ceiling as the upper ceiling, the upper cavity 19 is made with a stop protrusion for fixing the stretch ceiling harpoon (). To facilitate the introduction of harpoons into the cavity, it can be made inclined.
[0063] All variants use a set of features necessary and sufficient for implementing the invention according to the invention formula. Specialists in this field understand that equivalent features can also be used without going beyond the scope of the declared protection.
[0064] Examples of various options for installing and using the invention are given in 12.
[0065] Figure 6 shows the installation of the profile on the surface of the base ceiling 20, which can be treated with any finishing method. The profile is attached to this surface using the mounting angle 21. The edge of the lower ceiling sheet 22 with harpoons 23 is inserted into the lower cavity and fixed. The open part of the profile is tightly closed with the closing element 1 with the projection 3 and an elastic cap put on it, which tightly fixes the closing element 1. This element can be made, for example, from an aluminum alloy with a polished mirror or matte surface, or have any other coating or texture. For example, the mirror surface of the closing element will reflect the surface of the upper ceiling and the effect of a "floating" ceiling can be obtained even without additional lighting.
[0066] Also shown is the installation of the profile on the surface of the base ceiling 20 using the installation square 21, as well as the tensioning and fixing of the ceiling sheet 22. The only difference is that a closing element with harpoon-shaped projections 2 is used, which snap into the projections 12 on the edges of the profile cavities. In this case, the closing element can be made of an elastic material.
[0067] 9 shows examples of making a wall niche for hidden placement of lighting, curtain rods and other equipment mounted on a false ceiling 25. For this purpose, a false ceiling 25 made of a hard material, such as plasterboard, plywood, plastic, composite, is attached to the profile in the additional cavity 19. This structure is attached at a certain distance from the wall 24 to the base ceiling 20 by means of an installation angle 21. The edge of the stretch ceiling 22 is bent over the lower projection 5, and the harpoons 23 of the stretch ceiling are inserted into the lower cavity 6 of the profile and fixed on the stop projections 8. The open side of the profile is closed by a closing element 1 with one central projection or with harpoon-shaped projections. This element fits tightly to the false ceiling 25 on one side and is limited by the edge of the lower projection 5. With this configuration, any additional equipment or its parts, decorative elements can be mounted both on the false ceiling and on the closing element.
[0068] A combined profile with a front bar between the cavity for fixing the closing element and the lower cavity, as in , can be used to install a 2-level stretch ceiling, as shown in . In this case, the lower stretch ceiling 22 is installed as in the previous example. Harpoons 23 of the upper stretch ceiling 26 are inserted into the upper cavity 9 and fixed. The closing element 1 with a protrusion is installed between the levels, and it forms a vertical wall with all the advantages listed above. Additionally, in the upper part of the profile there is free space where lighting fixtures, communication elements, etc. can be placed. All these elements will be accessible without removing the stretch ceilings, which eliminates significant problems with this type of ceilings.
[0069] The device of 2-level stretch ceilings 22 and 26 is also shown in -12 using closing elements 1 with a projection 3 or harpoon-shaped projections 2. Here, cavities 9 are made inclined, which increases the ease and speed of inserting the harpoons of the web 26, the reliability and accuracy of fixation. Also, to increase accuracy, all profiles are provided with additional grooves 27 for longitudinal joining of profiles with cylindrical rods.
[0070] All the above examples of the invention implementation are selective and can be supplemented with equivalent features. Nevertheless, they clearly demonstrate all the advantages and extended capabilities of the declared technical solutions.
[0071] All profiles and closing elements are industrially applicable extended products and can be manufactured by extrusion or rolling from metals or plastics.
