Abstract

A tensioner of an automobile windscreen wiper spring relates to devices for providing visibility while driving, and to vehicles. The technical result, which consists in providing the desired force with which a windscreen wiper arm is pressed against a windscreen in the case of different degrees of extension of the spring, is achieved by a tensioner structure which makes it possible to adjust the distance between the hooks of an extension spring on the arm of a windscreen wiper. This capability for adjustment (resulting from the possibility of moving and securing a base) makes it possible to select the desired force with which the windscreen wiper arm is pressed against the windscreen on the basis of the extension of the extension spring, thereby providing an increase in the force with which the windscreen wiper arm is pressed against the windscreen.

Description

[0001] CAR WIPER SPRING TENSIONER

[0002] DESCRIPTION

[0003] The windshield wiper spring tensioner is a device for ensuring visibility while driving, for vehicles [B6OS1 / OO, B6OS1 / 2O, B6OS1 / 32, B60S1 / 34, B60S1 / 38],

[0004] A WINDSHIELD WIPER LEVER is known from the prior art [RU2160198C1-2000-12-10]. The invention relates to transport equipment and can be used in the design of a windshield wiper arm for an automobile windshield wiper. The prototype of the claimed invention uses the design of a windshield wiper arm (application PCT 89 / 00936, MK B60S1 / 34, published 09.02.89), which includes a drive head with a recess, a hinge axis and an arbor axis located in the recess, a lever housing with a lever pivotally connected to the drive head, a coil spring and an arbor. The arbor is engaged with the arbor axis, and the coil spring connects the arbor to the lever. The advantage of the prototype is the presence of a recess on the hinge axis, which allows the earring to be centered in the recess when the lever is moved to the idle position.A design flaw is the lack of means for centering the coil spring in the operating position of the lever housing relative to the head, which allows the clevis to move along the surface of the clevis axis toward one of the recess walls and rub against the wall of the drive head recess. The invention solves the problem of centering the clevis in the drive head recess. This objective is achieved in the claimed windshield wiper arm design, which includes a drive head with a recess, a hinge axis and a clevis axis located in a recess, a lever housing with a lever pivotally attached to the head axis, a clevis engaged with the clevis axis, and a coil spring connecting the lever to the clevis. The problem is solved by making a notch on the clevis axis, the width of which is greater than or equal to the radius of the clevis cross-section. Figure 1 shows the windshield wiper arm. Figure 2 shows the connection of the clevis with the clevis axis of the drive head. The invention can be implemented in the arrangement of a windshield wiper arm (see Fig.1), including a drive head 1 with a recess 2, a hinge axis 3 and a hinge axis 4 located in a recess 2, a lever housing 5 with a lever 6 pivotally fixed on axis 3, a coil spring 7, one end of which is connected to the lever 6, and an earring 8 connects the second end of the spring 7 to the earring axis 4. To implement the invention, a recess 9 can be formed in the central part of the earring axis 4 (see Figure 2). The end of the earring 8 is partially recessed into the recess 9 intended for engagement with the earring axis 4. To reliably hold the end of the earring 8 in the central part of the earring axis 4, the width of the recess 9 is made equal to or greater than the radius of the cross-section of the earring 8. A disadvantage of this analogue is insufficient tightness of pressing the windshield wiper blade to the windshield. The closest in technical essence is the WIPER SPRING TENSIONER [https: / / plastik-avto.[ru / collection / natyazhitel-pruzhiny-dvornika-stekloochistitelya], which is a rectangular bar made of polyamide, containing a stop rib for mounting in the windshield wiper trapezoid and a tension rib, which ensures movable contact between the windshield wiper spring tensioner and the spring mounting axis. A rectangular opening extends from the center of the windshield wiper spring tensioner toward the spring mounting axis. One side of the opening, located on the spring side, has a rounded shape and is designed for mounting the spring, hence its name, the retaining rib. The tension force of the windshield wiper spring is determined by using tensioners with different tension distances. The disadvantage of this analogue is the need to use several tensioners with different tension distances to ensure the required spring tension force and the density of the wiper contact.

[0005] The technical result of the invention consists in providing the required force of pressing the windshield wiper arm to the glass at different spring extension values.

[0006] The claimed technical result is achieved due to the fact that the tensioner is made in the form of a plate, at one end of which a fastening element is made, designed with the possibility of fixing the extension spring, at the other end of the spring a groove is made in which a fixing bracket is located, designed with the possibility of fixing to the body of the windshield wiper arm.

[0007] Specifically, the bracket is secured to the wiper arm housing via pressure plates, which are tightened with a bolt.

[0008] In particular, the bracket is fixed to the wiper arm body using clamps.

[0009] In particular, the bracket is fixed to the windshield wiper arm body using clamps tightened with nuts.

[0010] In particular, the bracket is fixed to the windshield wiper arm body by means of a cover with grooves, which are placed on the fixing bracket along the longitudinal grooves.

[0011] In particular, the fixing bracket is T-shaped.

[0012] In particular, a hook acts as a fastening element.

[0022] Implementation of the invention

[0023] The tensioner is mounted on the windshield wiper arm 1 behind the extension spring 2, which is secured with its upper hook to the pin 3 or to the hook 4 (Fig. 1). The tensioner comprises two zones, a base 5 and a fastening 6. The base 5 ensures the tensioner is retained in the windshield wiper arm 1, and the fastening 6 provides additional tension to the extension spring 2 and strengthens the contact. In the embodiment (Fig. 2), the tensioner fastening 6 is made in the form of a hook, which has a socket for installing the spring in the form of a protrusion 7. In the embodiment (Fig. 2), the tensioner fastening 6 is made in the form of a hook, which has a socket for installing the spring in the form of an opening 8. At the other end of the fastening 6, a recess 9 is made, which is a groove for fixing the fixing bracket 10.

[0024] Mounted to fastener 6 is a retaining bracket 10, which is mounted in a groove (recess 9) and is designed to be secured to the windshield wiper arm 1 housing and is available in several designs. The retaining bracket 10 and its fastening system to the windshield wiper arm 1 form base 5.

[0025] In the embodiment (Fig. 3), the base 5 of the tensioner contains a fixing bracket 10 with a groove, which is secured to the wiper arm 1 by a pressure plate 11, and is tightened by 12 bolted or, alternatively, screw connections.

[0026] In the embodiment (Fig. 4), the base 5 of the tensioner contains a fixing bracket 10 with a groove, which is attached to the wiper arm 1 with several clamps 13 made of plastic or metal.

[0027] In the embodiment (Fig. 5), the base 5 of the tensioner contains a fixing bracket 10 with a groove, which is secured to the wiper arm 1 with several brackets 14 and tightened with nuts 15.

[0028] In the embodiment (Fig. 6), the base 5 of the tensioner contains a fixing bracket 10 with a groove, which is attached to the wiper arm 1 with a lining with grooves 16, which is placed on the fixing bracket 10 along the longitudinal grooves.

[0029] In all variants, the fixing bracket 10 is T-shaped.

[0030] The invention is used as follows

[0031] In automobiles, windshield wiper arm 1 is pressed against the glass by extension spring 2. The most common two options for fastening the springs are using pin 3 or hook 4, as shown in Fig. 1. During vehicle operation, the pressing force of windshield wiper arm 1 may weaken over time due to a decrease in the stiffness of extension spring 2. Also, in a new automobile, the pressing force may be insufficient for high-quality cleaning of the glass. To increase the pressing force of windshield wiper arm 1, it is necessary to increase the distance on windshield wiper arm 1 between the hooks of extension spring 2. For this purpose, tensioners made of plastic or metal can be used. In this case, the tensioner is located inside windshield wiper arm 1, fastening 6 is hooked onto the tension spring and is moved along windshield wiper arm 1, after which it is fixed by base 5, consisting of fixing bracket 10 and a system for fastening the bracket to windshield wiper arm 1.

[0032] The technical result - ensuring the required force of pressing the windshield wiper arm to the glass at different values of the spring extension is achieved due to the fact that the design of the tensioner provides for the regulation of the distance on the windshield wiper arm 1 between the hooks of the extension spring 2. At the same time, due to the presence of adjustment (due to the possibility of moving and fixing the base 5), it becomes possible to select the required increase in the force of pressing the windshield wiper arm 1 to the glass depending on the extension of the extension spring 2, thereby ensuring an increase in the force of pressing the windshield wiper cable to the glass.

[0033] Examples of implementation.

[0034] Examples of the tilted device are shown in Figs. 2-6. Field experiments demonstrated that the proposed solution reliably maintains the required tension level with the extension spring extended to 5 mm. Furthermore, by adjusting the fastening element over the entire extension range from 0 to 5 mm, the required force was achieved for pressing the wiper arm against the windshield.
