[0003] The present disclosure relates to an apparatus developed to enable the installation of fabric pieces, in the form of curtains and / or sheers, which are used in living spaces to ensure privacy and are designed to transmit light to a lesser and / or greater extent.

[0004] State of the Art

[0005] Humankind has developed various methods over the years to ensure the privacy and protection of living spaces (areas of habitation). As an initial solution, people constructed structures, now known as houses or huts, by surrounding their living spaces with stones and bricks. Subsequently, in order to keep other people away from their enclosed spaces, they tried to prevent entry and exit by surrounding their houses with various materials.

[0006] Over time, due to the basic need for lighting and the fact that such enclosed structures remained dark both during the day and at night, openings were created in certain parts of these structures, which are today referred to as window openings. Since these window openings were directly exposed and accessible in the event of any threat, windows were introduced into such structures to allow light to pass through while also providing security against potential threats.

[0007] In the following periods, the importance of privacy for people and their living spaces increased, and fabric pieces that were transparent enough to let light in but opaque enough to prevent anyone from observing the living space began to be installed over these windows. These fabric pieces are today known as curtains. Curtains have been installed over these windows by various means both in the past and in the present. Research has revealed that the earliest curtains were used by being directly attached to windows. In the cycle where each problem led to a subsequent solution, it was found that attaching such fabric pieces directly to windows was an insufficient solution due to the curtains becoming dirty, becoming deformed, and their light transmittance increasing and / or decreasing under different seasonal conditions.

[0008] Instead of attaching curtains directly to windows, they began to be fixed onto the windows or the upper sections of the windows using screws or nails. However, since the screws corroded over time, caused holes or tears in the curtains, and the tension adjustment of the curtains was constantly disturbed, the desired solution could not be achieved with this method either.

[0009] Today, one of the most commonly used methods involves structures called curtain rails, which are positioned above windows to allow curtains to be attached at specific heights and intervals, thereby maintaining the desired tension of the curtains and ensuring the privacy of living spaces. These curtain rail structures are generally positioned on the ceilings of living spaces and / or on the upper parts of windows, taking into account the length of the curtains. In this way, the curtains can be kept long while preventing them from touching the floor and becoming dirty.

Another disadvantage of previous applications is that the curtain rail hooks frequently break because they cannot withstand the manual force applied during installation onto the rail. Due to the breaking of these structures, the curtains cannot be installed at the desired intervals. As a result, the privacy of living spaces cannot be fully ensured, and visual clutter arises within these spaces.

[0013] Another disadvantage of previous applications is that the tension adjustment of the curtains depends on the number of curtain rail hooks positioned on the rail, requiring a large number of curtain rail attachments to be installed. However, since the final tension adjustment of the curtains is made by the users who install them, the desired tension cannot be consistently achieved.

Due to negligence and / or inattention, if any curtain rail hook is skipped, all the hooks up to the missed one must be removed one by one and reattached from the beginning. [0045] The invention described in detail below relates to a curtain installation mechanism (P) developed to enable fabric pieces used as curtains to be attached to curtain rails.

[0056] Figure 1 shows the guide (1 ), which is connected to the conveyor belt (3) and forms the inlet part of the curtain installation mechanism (P). By means of the guide (1 ), the fitting element(s) (5) enter the conveyor belt (3) sequentially during the attachment of the curtain to the curtain rail. Ensuring the sequential entry of the fitting elements (5) through the guide (1 ) prevents any part from being skipped during the attachment of the curtain to the curtain rail. Each fitting element (5) is attached to the curtain rail sequentially. The curtain rail connection point (10) is located at the outlet section of the curtain installation mechanism (P) and is the part where the fitting element (5) is attached to the curtain rail.

By means of the sensor (11 ), when the fitting element (5) comes into contact with the end of the curtain rail while the winding system (8) is moving the curtain horizontally along the rail, information is transmitted to the winding system (8) and the transfer of the fitting element (5) to the curtain rail is stopped. Thus, the curtain installation mechanism (P) detects that the installation process is complete and power transmission to the conveyor belt (3) is stopped. When the power transmission is stopped, all parts of the curtain connected to the curtain installation mechanism (P) will have been attached to the curtain rail.

A curtain installation mechanism (P) developed to enable fabric pieces used as curtains to be attached to curtain rails characterised by comprising;• a guide (1 ) that forms the inlet part of the curtain installation mechanism (P), ensures the sequential entry of a fitting element (5) located on the curtain into a conveyor belt (3), and prevents buttons on the fabric from coming into contact with the conveyor belt (3) and being damaged,• a roller (2) that is positioned within the conveyor belt (3) to ensure that a carrying element (4) moves at the specified speed without being affected by any snagging and / or friction,• the fitting element (5) that is attached onto the conveyor belt (3) to enable the attached fabric pieces (curtain) to be connected to the designated points (curtain rails),• the carrying element (4) that constitutes the moving part of the conveyor belt (3) and is wound around the roller (2) on which the fitting element (5) is positioned,• a gap (7) that is between each two fitting elements (5), with its length / width distance adjustable according to the area where the curtain will be installed, thereby regulates the installation interval onto the curtain rail and controls the tension adjustment of the curtain during installation,• a winding system (8) that enables the horizontal movement of the curtain structure when it is connected to the curtain rail, and• a curtain rail connection point (10) enabling the fabric piece within the curtain installation mechanism (P) to be connected to the curtain rail.

2. The curtain installation mechanism (P) according to claim 1 , characterised by comprising; a belt cover (6) to protect the conveyor belt (3) from any external adverse conditions.

The curtain installation mechanism (P) according to claim 1 characterised by comprising; a sensor (11 ) that detects when the curtain connected to the winding system (8) reaches the end point of the curtain rail during its movementalong the rail and deactivates the winding system (8) to stop the horizontal winding.

4. The curtain installation mechanism (P) according to claim 1 characterised by comprising; a power unit to drive the roller (2).

5. The curtain installation mechanism (P) according to claim 1 or claim 4 wherein the power unit is a servo motor.
