Cascade liquid-evaporating device

Abstract

The invention relates to device for evaporating a mixture of gas and volatile liquid, characterised in that it comprises a vaporisation chamber (1) in which the volatile liquid and gas are mixed; an element (2) for feeding volatile liquid; an element (3) for supplying pressurised gas; a structure (4) disposed inside the chamber, the structure (4) comprising channel elements (5) that have elements with crests (6) and valleys (7), wherein the valleys (7) form concave microchambers (8) in which microdroplets of the volatile liquid circulating inside the structure (4) are deposited, which structure (4) may comprise multiple sections in the form of a cascade, each arranged below another; and an element (11) for releasing or diffusing the vapour formed. The vaporisation chamber (1) is connected to an electronic controller capable of controlling the amount of gas and volatile liquid that reaches the chamber. Also disclosed is a method for increasing the efficiency of a diesel-cycle internal combustion engine that uses the described cascade evaporator device.
