The method for switching the main screen comprises the following steps of: obtaining a screen turning request which is submitted by a user through the forward-turning-screen guide mark and the backward-turning-screen guide mark; and displaying the corresponding sub-screen according to a screen turning direction and a screen turning quantity which are included in the screen turning request. In the scheme provided by the invention, the screen turning operation is realized through the screen turning guide marks arranged at the both sides of a screen, so that the efficiency of the user in the use process can be effectively improved without turning the screen through the vast-scale motion by the user, such as transversely sliding the finger on the screen.
