The method comprises the following steps of detecting a human body contour in each frame image; when determining that the distance between any two human body contours is smaller than a threshold value, respectively detecting the up limb height of each human body contour; and if the up limb height of one human body contour is greater than the threshold value, determining that the fighting behavior occurs. A fighting process is determined through the distance between any two human body contours and the up limb height of a human body without detecting by the eyes of a user, so that the phenomenon that the fighting behavior cannot be timely found is avoided.
