Embodiment Construction

[0040] As indicated, the dock power substation 10 according to the preferred embodiment of the present invention consists of a metal enclosure 30 containing four compartments separated by inner walls. like figure 2 As illustrated, three compartments of the substation 10 contain natural ventilation components and the fourth 20 is sealed. The natural ventilation means comprise an air intake means 40 near the bottom of the container 30 and an air outlet means 50 near the top, preferably in the form of a chimney or tower.

[0041] The air inlet means have the form of a ventilation square tube 40 located on the bottom of two opposite walls of the container 30 common to all compartments 20, 100, 200, preferably comprising (cf. image 3 and 5 ) a filter 42 (pre-filter and final filter) suitable for salty air, and guarantees a degree of protection greater than according to IEC 62271-202, especially against mechanical impacts with a value of 20 joules, or according to IP23D accordin...

Abstract

A port electrical power supply substation comprises at least one compartment (100) in which are housed a voltage transformer (105) or a frequency-converting means (205), an air inlet means (40) at the bottom a housing (30) and at least one filter (42). An air outlet means (50) is located on the roof of the housing (30). The ventilation of the compartment (100) is forced with an extraction means (150) at the air outlet (50) near the air inlets (40). To achieve optimal thermal control in the compartment (100), a sensor (165) measures the temperature in the housing (30) at the air outlet (50). A temperature adjusting means may control the velocity of the extraction means (150) based on the measured temperatures. A method adjusting the temperature of the compartment exhausts air depending on the internal temperature and predetermined control periods.

Description

technical field [0001] The invention relates to the thermal regulation of a power supply substation for supplying ships on a quay via an onshore power distribution network, said substation being able to guarantee frequency conversion in particular from 50 to 60 Hz and housed in a metal enclosure. [0002] In particular, the invention relates to a frequency conversion compartment, or a compartment that converts the voltage of such a substation, and the elements that make said regulation possible. Background technique [0003] Although ships are originally equipped with low-voltage power grids, due to the greatly increased power demand, the power grids implemented on ships are generally of the medium-voltage type, which allows the use of cables with smaller cross-sectional areas and reduces the energy loss of the ship's network power supply. [0004] In order for a ship to be able to stop its genset when it is docked, there must be means in the port that can power its equipmen...
