The method comprises the following steps: when the terminal turns on the loudspeaker and operates volume output, detecting the current noise intensity of ambient environment whereby the terminal is; based on the prestored appropriate volume data corresponding to different noise intensity, acquiring an appropriate volume corresponding to the current noise intensity; the appropriate volume data including a contrasting relationship table between a plurality of groups of historic loudspeaker volume data and / or different noise intensity corresponding to different noise intensity and a theoretical best loudspeaker volume; based on the appropriate volume, determining the volume of the terminal loudspeaker and outputting the volume.
