Abstract

A startup method for an application program and an electronic device are provided. The method includes the following steps: receiving an instruction signal for instructing to start a first applicationprogram; informing a background service to prepare a storage space of a first memory to start the first application program in response to the received instruction signal; and starting the first application program after informing the background service to prepare the storage space of the first memory. In addition, the present invention also provides an electronic device implemented by the aboveapplication program startup method. The application program startup method and the electronic device provided by the present invention recover the storage space of the volatile memory before the application program is started, so that the available space of the volatile memory is sufficient to complete startup of the application program, the application startup time is shortened, and the user experience is improved.
