Abstract

Provided is a disc cartridge which includes a shutter unit having an outer shutter and inner shutters to open and shut apertures on the disc cartridge. The outer shutter opens one of the inner shutters corresponding to a side of the disc cartridge being accessed by a pickup. Compared with the conventional disc cartridge, the overall area of the apertures exposed to the exterior during information recording and reproducing operations is reduced.
