Benefits of technology

The patent describes a sports eyeglasses apparatus that includes a frame and a rim. The frame is made up of a combined frame and multiple temples attached to it. The rim has two holes that are designed to hold lenses. These holes are made up of an upper and lower frame, an outer frame, and an inner frame. The rims are locked into the frame using a bridge, which has a wider upper and lower frame near the bridge. The upper frame has a protective pad, which can separate from it using a screw mechanism. In some embodiments, the combined frame has a slot within it that the rims can lock into. This makes it easier to attach and remove lenses from the eyeglasses.

Problems solved by technology

Improvements in the strength of the equipment, however, often cause the equipment to be too stiff, bulky, or obtrusive, and uncomfortable to wear.
This discomfort can cause a player to wear the equipment improperly or not at all, thereby defeating any improvement in protection.
On the other hand, in fair weather, the desire for eye protection may be limited to protection against sun glare.
Goggles, however, are large, cumbersome, awkward and difficult to wear.
Most skiers and other sports participants find this uncomfortable and undesirable.
However, most people chooses to use goggles because, unlike eyeglasses, when conventional protective eyeglasses receives strike or shock, a wearer may suffer pain, harm or wound because of poor elasticity the cushions have, limited by its thickness and its elasticity coefficient.
Although goggles form a shielding seal around the face, goggles are not a preferred form of eyewear; goggles are typically large, non-rigid, bulky, awkward, and uncomfortable to the wearer.
Also, goggles do not support temple bars because of their non-rigid frame.
These problems may be substantially obviated by spectacle like frames with all of the protective benefits of goggles, while not impinging on the wearer's field of vision.
It is not easy to lock or remove with optical glasses that are rigid and inflexible.
Therefore, this kind of sports eyeglasses are not suitable for customers who need to use corrective lenses.
However, as the protective pad is joined with the rim by welding, it cannot be removed nor changed easily.
Therefore, this kind of eyeglasses only has one form, and cannot be changed to other forms.

Embodiment Construction

[0028]The object of the invention is to provide a sports eyeglasses for use during sports. It is designed to easily remove and lock the lenses within the rims, and the rims are easily removed and locked within the frames. It is convenient for user to change and lock in different lenses to different frames.

[0029]This is a structure of sports eyeglasses, which includes frames and rims. The frames contains combined frames and temples that are attached to the two sides of the combined frame. The rims join with the combined frame. The rims have 2 rim holes designed to lock in lenses. The width of the upper frame and the lower frame increase from the bridge to sides of the frame, therefore the upper frame and the lower frame can combined with the outer frame. The outer section of the upper frame is covered by the protective pad. The inner frame separates with the upper frame, and there are screw holes at the disconnected segments. Screws can pass though the screw holes and lock in disconn...

Abstract

The patent relates to the structure of sports eyeglasses, which includes frames and rims. The frames contains upper and lower frame (together as combined frame) and temple attached to two sides of the combined frame. The rims join with the combined frame. The rims has 2 rim holes designed to allow the lens to fit. The width of the upper frame and the lower frame increase from the bridge to the sides of the frame, therefore the upper frame and the lower frame can be combined with the outer frame. The outer section of the upper frame is covered by the protective pad. The inner frame separates with the upper frame, and there are screw holes at the disconnected segments. Screws can pass though the screw holes to lock the disconnected segments of the upper frame and the inner frame together. As a result, it is easy to insert the lenses within the rim. By locking the frames with the rims, a pair of sports eyeglasses is easily assembled.

Description

INCORPORATION BY REFERENCE[0001]This application claims priority under 35 U.S.C. §119 to Taiwan patent application M437965, filed on May 23, 2012, the disclosure of which is incorporated herein by reference.FIELD OF THE INVENTION[0002]The invention is a structure of a sports eyeglasses. In particular, it relates to rims which can be removed from the frames. The rims have a structure from which optical glasses can be removed and changed conveniently.BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION[0003]Many diverse types of sports and other activities involves the use of sports eyewear. and other protective eye gear. There are many different types of eyeglasses and goggles that are appropriate for each types of activity. Protecting players from injury is a primary concern for any sport. The most vulnerable part of the body is the head, face, and eyes. Thus, protective face masks and eyewear are common in sports such as baseball, hockey, football, racquetball, squash, and lacrosse.
