AI Technical Summary
In the field of ultra-high-definition display, the color purity of green light-emitting materials in existing OLED materials is difficult to meet the Rec.2020 standard, and their lifespan and efficiency need to be improved.
Fully deuterated pyridinium-boron-oxygen heterocyclic compounds are used as light-emitting materials for OLED devices. Their high-rigidity fused ring structure and steric hindrance effect restrict the molecular relaxation process, enhance spin-orbit coupling, and improve the purity of green light and device lifetime.
It significantly improves the green primary color purity and lifespan of OLED devices, while also increasing luminous efficiency, making it suitable for ultra-high-definition display technology.

Abstract
Description
Technical Field
[0001] The invention relates to a fully deuterated pyridoborane-oxygen heterocyclic compound and application thereof, belonging to the technical field of organic electroluminescent materials. Background Art
[0002] OLED is an organic electroluminescent display. Its operating principle is that under the drive of an electric field, organic semiconductor light-emitting materials emit light through carrier injection and recombination. OLED is the third generation of display technology after the CRT era and LCD era.
[0003] The main body of OLED materials includes: luminescent materials and basic general materials, each accounting for about 30% in OLED devices. Among them, luminescent materials are divided into three types: red, green and blue. At present, the mainstream luminescent materials in the market are basically phosphorescent materials with precious metals such as iridium and platinum as the core, and the cost required is high.
[0004] Organic light-emitting materials have large structural relaxation, which causes their luminescence spectrum to be significantly broadened. This results in that although organic light-emitting materials are cheaper, their color purity is difficult to match that of precious metal phosphorescent materials. After weighing the pros and cons in commercial applications, organic light-emitting materials also have a broad space, but in the high-value market of ultra-high-definition display, organic light-emitting materials have few application scenarios.
[0005] The International Telecommunication Union has proposed the Rec.2020 standard for ultra-high-definition display technology, which has updated higher indicators for the luminous color purity of the three primary colors of RGB, especially green. The CIE color coordinates of green light in the old indicator Rec.709 are (0.30, 0.60), and the new indicator CIE color coordinates are updated to (0.170, 0.797).
[0006] Different from the long wavelength of red light and the short wavelength of blue light, green light is emitted right in the middle of the visible spectrum and is extremely sensitive to spectrum broadening or shoulder peaks. A slight fluctuation will significantly reduce its CIE y coordinate, affecting the color purity of green light. Therefore, ultra-high color purity green light OLED materials are a bottleneck that needs to be broken through. Summary of the invention

[0086]
[0087] From the data in Table 3, it can be seen from Application Examples 1-12 and Comparative Example 1 that the compounds of the present invention have better green light base color purity. Because the parent structure of the present invention is a high-rigidity condensed ring π-conjugated structure with six six-membered heterocyclic rings arranged in parallel, the vibration relaxation process of the structure in the excited state is effectively suppressed. At the same time, the steric hindrance of the condensed ring molecular structure itself makes it present a highly distorted geometric configuration, which in turn leads to changes in the orbital transition components of the molecular excited state, which can significantly increase the spin-orbit coupling between different excited states, so that the device achieves ultra-pure green light emission.
[0088] From the data in Table 3, it can be seen that the compounds of the present invention have better green light color purity from Application Example 1 and Comparative Examples 3 and 4. Because the parent structure of the present invention has two pyridine rings, which induces the lowest two triplet states (T1 and T2) to produce charge resonance excitation characteristics, which allows the triplet excitons of the material to be converted into singlet excitons with the help of the high-energy T2 state, thereby enabling the device to achieve ultra-pure green light emission.
[0089] From the data in Table 3, it can be seen from Application Example 1 and Comparative Example 2 that the luminous efficiency and lifespan of the compounds of the present invention are improved. This is because after the structure of the compound of the present invention is fully deuterated, due to the heavy atom effect, after the deuterium atom is introduced, the spin-orbit coupling effect in the molecule will be enhanced, thereby facilitating the generation of light, increasing the quantum efficiency, and at the same time increasing the half-life and prolonging the lifespan.
[0090] The organic light-emitting device prepared from the fully deuterated pyridoborane heterocyclic compound of the present invention can obtain ultra-high green light base color purity, good luminous efficiency and life span, and can therefore be applied to the highly practical OLED industry. The organic light-emitting device of the present invention can be applied to flat panel displays, flat luminous bodies, surface-emitting OLED luminous bodies for lighting, copiers, printers, LCD backlights or metering machine-type light sources, display panels, signs, etc.

To make the description concise, not all possible combinations of the technical features in the above-described embodiments are exhaustively listed.
