Abstract

The invention discloses a washing machine, comprising: a housing; the washing cylinder is mounted in the shell in a manner of rotating around a shaft, and a cylinder cover capable of being opened and closed is arranged at a cylinder opening of the washing cylinder; the machine door is installed on the shell and correspondingly opens and closes an opening, corresponding to the barrel opening, in the shell; an automatic drum cover closing mechanism is arranged on the machine door and / or the drum cover and used for generating expansion deformation in the axial direction of the washing drum after the machine door closes the opening of the shell, and then the drum cover is pushed to the position where the drum opening of the washing drum is closed. By means of the arrangement, after a user closes the machine door, the automatic drum cover closing mechanism can generate pushing force through self expansion deformation to drive the drum cover to move to the position where the drum opening of the washing drum is closed, and the effect of automatically closing the drum cover is achieved; therefore, the obvious technical progress that the machine door and the barrel cover can be closed and locked at the same time only by providing a single action of pushing the machine door to be closed by a user is achieved.
