The invention discloses an electric vehicle charging pile with a storable outdoor photovoltaic panel and a use method thereof, and relates to the technical field of charging piles, the electric vehicle charging pile comprises a charging pile body, a storage mechanism, a connecting mechanism and a drainage mechanism, a photovoltaic panel body is arranged above the charging pile body, and the storage mechanism comprises a storage box; the bottom end of the storage box is fixedly connected with the top end of the charging pile body, an L-shaped plate is arranged in the storage box in a lifting mode, the photovoltaic panel body is installed at the top end of the L-shaped plate, and a protective cover plate is arranged at the top end of the storage box. Through the arrangement of the storage box, the L-shaped plate and the protective cover plate, the L-shaped plate can descend in the storage box until the photovoltaic panel body completely enters the storage box, and the protective cover plate covers the top end of the storage box, so that the photovoltaic panel body can be hidden and stored in the storage box; therefore, the photovoltaic panel body is protected in severe weather through the storage box and the protection cover plate, and the protection effect on the photovoltaic panel body is improved.
