Abstract
Description
Technical Field
[0001] The invention relates to a vertical machine tool (Standwerkzeugmaschine, sometimes also called stationary machine tool), in particular a core drilling machine (Kernbohrmaschine). Background Art
[0002] In the machining of workpieces, metal chips or metal dust are a ubiquitous by-product which is formed during different stages of the machining process. When material is removed from a workpiece, for example by a vertical machine tool, these small sharp-edged metal fragments are inevitably generated. In the case of inadequate control and prevention, this can be a source of potential problems. In particular, it can be critical that the freely flying chips reach the interior of the machine tool or vertical machine tool.
[0003] The effects of these freely flying chips or metal particles near critical parts of the machine are extremely complex. They can trigger direct production disruptions, in the form of which they impede the movement of tool machine parts or cause damage to the workpiece being processed.
[0004] Furthermore, the long-term effects of freely flying chips on the vertical tool machine itself are also of considerable importance. Small metal fragments or metal particles can penetrate into machine parts, which can lead to premature wear and damage. The mechanics and electronics of the machine are sensitive here and can be damaged by the presence of chips.
[0005] Especially in vertical machine tools, which are indispensable for the precise machining of workpieces, the problem of free-flying chips becomes serious. These machines are characterized by high speed and precision requirements. Chips can penetrate the guide system, the support or the electronics and impair not only the mechanical precision but also the electronic control. Ensuring the optimal performance of vertical machine tools is crucial, as it is the basis for qualitatively high-quality manufacturing processes and products. Summary of the invention
[0006] Therefore, there is a need for measures for reducing or avoiding chips in the vicinity of critical components in the interior of a machine housing of a vertical machine tool.
[0007] The invention achieves this object by a vertical machine tool for cutting machining according to claim 1. Preferred embodiments of the invention are the subject matter of the dependent claims and are apparent from the description of the invention and the drawings.
[0008] The invention has the advantage that the vertical machine tool comprises a chip guide system which provides an effective method for controlling chips. By positioning at least one magnet in such a way that it deflects the chips, in particular attracts the chips, the chips are prevented from spreading uncontrolled in the interior of the machine. This process is particularly important because it not only ensures the safety and stability of the working process, but also brings many advantages. The chip guide system preferably has at least one chip guide component, in particular at least one wall component arranged in the interior of the tool holder housing, a deflection plate, a guide channel.
[0009] According to the invention, a vertical machine tool for chip-cutting machining, in particular a core drilling machine, has a tool holder with a first tool holder housing interior.
[0010] Furthermore, the vertical machine tool, in particular the chip guiding system, has at least one or exactly one magnet, wherein the magnet is arranged in the interior of the first tool holder housing in such a way that chips generated by a process involving cutting and entering the interior of the tool holder housing are deflected by a magnetic field induced by the magnet.
[0011] Vertical machine tools within the meaning of the present invention are industrial machines used in the manufacturing and metalworking industries. Machines that are set up in a fixed position for their use purposes, as opposed to portable or movable or hand-held tools, are referred to as "vertical" or "stationary" machine tools.
[0012] Vertical tool machines are used in a variety of machining and manufacturing processes, among which are turning, milling, drilling, grinding, sawing, etc. Vertical tool machines enable precise material removal from a workpiece in order to achieve the desired shape, size and surface quality.
[0013] Vertical tool machines are typically highly specialized and powerful devices used to manufacture precision components in larger quantities or for customer-specific one-off manufacturing.
[0014] The vertical machine tool can be positioned on a base or a table during the production process in a force-locking manner by means of magnets or by means of other fastening means such as screws or clamps.
[0015] Cutting within the meaning of the present invention is a process in the manufacturing industry in which material is removed from a workpiece by removal in the form of chips or layers. This material removal is usually carried out using machine tools, such as turning machines, milling machines, drilling machines, grinding machines, sawing machines and other machine tools.
[0016] Cutting operations are used to bring a workpiece to a desired shape, size and surface quality. This can include removing excess material for the manufacture of precision components, or improving surface quality for aesthetic or functional purposes.
[0017] The process is usually carried out in multiple steps, in which the tool removes layers of material in the form of chips. These chips are small metal fragments, metal particles or layers produced during the machining process. The machining process requires precision and careful control in order to achieve the desired results.
[0018] A core drill (also called a core drill or core drilling device) within the meaning of the present invention is a special machine tool. Its main purpose is to drill a precisely circular recess or core in a workpiece, while the surrounding material remains intact. This allows clean and accurate openings to be created without damage or burrs at the edges.
[0019] A tool holder for holding a vertical machine tool in the sense of the present invention is a device for safely and stably positioning a vertical machine tool. This structure serves to firmly anchor the machine during operation and to create an optimal working environment. Stability and safety are among the most important features, since the tool holder provides a fixed platform for the vertical machine tool. This ensures that the machine does not shake or vibrate during operation, which is essential for precise machining. The tool holder can be equipped with a magnetic base for secure holding.
[0020] In some cases, tool racks are also mobile, which increases the mobility of the vertical machine tool when needed. Tool racks help optimize the available workspace and ensure efficient and safe operation. In short, tool racks play a vital role in creating a stable and safe working environment for vertical machine tools, which is important for precise machining and quality control.
[0021] The interior of the tool holder housing within the meaning of the present invention is that part of the tool holder which contains various components, such as electronics.
[0022] A magnet in the sense of the present invention is a physical object or material that has the ability to attract or repel ferromagnetic or magnetizable substances. A magnet has the ability to generate a magnetic field around it that acts on other magnets or magnetic materials.
[0023] At least one magnet is arranged and disposed in the interior of the first tool holder housing in such a way that it fulfills an important function during a machining process. The magnetic field generated by at least one, preferably a plurality of magnets, in particular exactly one, two, three, four or up to ten magnets, serves to guide or deflect chips generated during the process and arriving in the interior of the tool holder housing in a targeted manner.
[0024] During processes involving cutting, metal chips or particles may be generated that could potentially cause damage or impair the functionality of the tool or electronic component if they spread unhindered within the housing interior.
[0025] The magnets in the interior of the tool holder housing counteract this problem through the effect of their magnetic field. This magnetic field exerts an attractive force on the magnetic chips and deflects them in a specific direction. The chips are thus directed away from sensitive areas of the housing, tools or electronic components, where they could otherwise cause damage.
[0026] Overall, the arrangement of magnets in the interior of the tool holder housing contributes to improving the safety, efficiency and functionality of the machining process and the tools and electronics contained therein by enabling control of the freely flying chips.
[0027] Advantageously, the vertical machine tool further comprises a motor and a motor cable. The motor cable of the motor extends along the guide channel to the interior space of the first tool holder housing.
[0028] A motor in the sense of the present invention is an electric or pneumatic drive unit that has been developed to carry out processes with cutting in different materials. These drive units provide the required power and precision, for example, for forming holes in workpieces or for other cutting processes.
[0029] A motor cable within the meaning of the present invention is a component of a drive unit or a machine for cutting machining. The motor cable is an electrical cable that connects the drive unit to a power supply and enables the transmission of electrical energy.
[0030] The motor cable extends from the drive unit to the interior space of the first tool holder housing along a guide channel specially provided for this purpose. The guide channel is used to safely guide and protect the cable during the material removal process.
[0031] Advantageously, the vertical machine tool also has a second tool holder housing interior with an electronic unit arranged therein. The first and second tool holder housing interiors are preferably separated by a partition wall. The second tool holder housing interior is preferably connected to the first tool holder housing interior via the partition wall, wherein the partition wall has at least one opening so that a connection exists from the motor to the electronic unit by means of a motor cable.
[0032] Advantageously, the interior space of the tool holder housing of the vertical tool machine is divided into two areas by a partition wall. The electronic unit is preferably arranged in the second interior space of the tool holder housing. The electronic unit can be fixed at the partition wall. The motor cable is preferably arranged movably in a loop in the first interior space of the tool holder housing. The length of the loop of the motor cable in the first interior space is preferably related to the position of the motor. In the working process, the motor moves vertically from the initial position in the direction of the workpiece to the end position in order to perform processing of the workpiece with the help of the tool. In the initial position, the largest part of the motor cable is preferably located outside the second interior space, while in the end position, the largest part of the motor cable is located in the second interior space of the tool holder housing.
[0033] The motor cable preferably extends with its first end through the opening in the partition wall into the second interior space of the tool holder housing and is connected to the voltage source and the electronics unit. The second end of the motor cable preferably extends through the guide channel and is connected to the motor.
[0034] The partition wall preferably comprises an opening which forms a fluid connection between the first and second interior spaces of the tool holder housing, so that, for example, the electronics unit can be cooled by air flow.
[0035] An electronics unit within the meaning of the present invention is a component or module which implements the electronic functions and tasks of a vertical machine tool. An electronics unit can be used in a variety of applications and serves to process, control or monitor electronic signals.
[0036] A partition wall in the sense of the present invention is a structure or structural element which is used to divide a space into separate sections or regions. The partition wall can be made of different materials. The partition wall can be made of plastic, metal material and / or magnetic material or a combination thereof. This construction brings with it the risk that during the process of integrating the electronic device into the working process, chips or particles may reach the inner space of the second tool holder housing where the electronic unit is located during the cutting process. These chips may potentially impair the function of the electronic unit or cause damage.
[0037] The opening in the partition wall can be a potential inlet opening for chips. If chips get into the first tool holder housing interior and reach the electronics unit via the opening, there is a risk of malfunctions, malfunctions or even permanent damage to the electronic components.
[0038] A magnet is arranged in the opening region of the partition wall between the second tool holder housing interior containing the electronics unit and the first tool holder housing interior, and generates a magnetic field which acts on metal chips generated during a process involving cutting.
[0039] Metal chips that reach the vicinity of the opening of the partition wall are attracted by the magnetic field and guided away from the opening. This prevents the chips from reaching the interior space of the second tool holder housing where the sensitive electronic unit is located.
[0040] In this way, the electronic unit is protected from potential negative effects of chips, while at the same time the required connection between the motor and the electronic unit is maintained.
[0041] Advantageously, the magnet is fixed at the partition wall. The advantage of fixing the magnet at the partition wall between the first tool holder housing interior and the second tool holder housing interior is that the magnet provides effective protection from metal chips while the magnet simultaneously maintains the presence of an opening between the motor and the electronic unit.
[0042] Advantageously, the first tool holder housing interior is partially formed by a removable housing cover of the tool housing. The tool housing or the housing cover can have an openable, in particular removable, locking flap. The locking flap can also close a compartment in the tool holder housing interior, wherein at least one magnet can be arranged in the compartment.
[0043] The locking flap is a movable cover which is designed to be opened and closed easily, while at the same time providing a locking function in order to control or restrict access to certain areas. The housing cover and / or the locking flap enable access to the interior of the first tool holder housing interior when necessary. This can be particularly useful for performing maintenance work, making repairs or replacing components. The locking function of the flap also provides security in that the flap restricts unauthorized access to the interior of the housing. The possibility of opening the housing cover or the locking flap also facilitates maintenance and servicing of components in the interior of the housing.
[0044] Advantageously, the magnet is accessible after removal of the housing cover and / or the locking flap. Metal particles adhering to the magnet can be easily removed. Additionally, the magnet can be reversibly removed. The advantage of the magnet being cleanable or reversibly removable after removal of the housing cover or the locking flap is the flexibility and adaptability of this configuration. This feature allows simple modifications to the system without requiring major structural changes. Alternatively, the magnet can also be mounted at the housing cover or the locking flap.
[0045] If maintenance work, repairs or adaptations need to be carried out inside the first tool holder housing interior, the housing cover or the locking flap can be removed in an uncomplicated manner to allow access. This makes maintenance and repair of components easier and minimizes downtimes of the system.
[0046] Advantageously, the motor cable extends through an opening, in particular an elongated hole-shaped opening, in the interior space of the tool holder housing, which forms part of the guide channel. If the motor cable extends through an elongated hole-shaped opening that forms part of the guide channel, this provides the advantage of a safe and protected cable path. This configuration contributes to the safety and efficiency of operation, in that the elongated hole-shaped opening protects the motor cable from damage, entanglement or interference. The cables are neatly guided, which prevents accidents, prolongs the service life of the cables and improves the efficiency of the workflow. The guide channel is particularly used to guide the motor cable movably in the direction of the cable path. In a usual manner, a unit consisting of a motor, a transmission mechanism connected thereto, a tool receiving portion and a tool is movable vertically or at an almost vertical angle relative to the tool holder in a vertical tool machine, in particular in that the unit is arranged vertically and movably at the tool holder by means of a longitudinal guide system, in particular a guide rail system.
[0047] In particular, if the vertical machine tool is a drilling machine or a core drill, the motor is also referred to as a drilling motor and the motor cable is also referred to as a drilling motor cable.
[0048] Advantageously, the guide channel has a cover attached to the film hinge. If the guide channel has a cover attached to the film hinge, this offers the advantage of improved accessibility and maintenance friendliness of the system. The cover can be easily opened so that access to cables and other components in the interior of the guide channel is possible without having to completely remove the cover. This facilitates quick maintenance or repairs, minimizes downtime, and increases system efficiency.
[0049] The film hinge ensures that the cover is securely closed when it is not opened and protects the cable from external influences such as dirt, moisture or mechanical wear. This extends the service life of the cable and reduces maintenance costs.
[0050] Furthermore, the cover helps to keep the working area clean and tidy, as it neatly covers the cables and prevents accidents due to cables lying around. Avoiding tangles or disturbances caused by external influences ensures frictionless operation of the system.
[0051] Advantageously, the magnet is arranged in a cylindrical support and projects into the interior of the first tool holder housing. The advantage of arranging the magnet in a cylindrical support and projecting into the interior of the first tool holder housing is that this allows for targeted and efficient deflection of the chips, while at the same time the available space in the interior of the tool holder housing is optimally utilized.
[0052] The magnets can be precisely positioned by means of the cylindrical support element in order to redirect the chips generated during the process with the cutting process in a targeted manner. This is particularly important for ensuring that the chips are kept away from sensitive components and do not cause interference or damage.
[0053] Another advantage of this arrangement is the optimized use of space. Since the magnets are mounted in the cylindrical support, the available space in the interior of the tool holder housing is efficiently utilized without wasting space. This is particularly useful if other components or mechanisms must also be installed in this space.
[0054] In addition, this arrangement also provides protection for sensitive components within the interior of the tool holder housing interior space. The magnets can help protect these components from chips and metallic magnetic particles, which ensures the durability and proper function of these components.
[0055] Advantageously, the first tool holder housing interior space has an upper region and a lower region, which are separated by an imaginary horizontal dividing plane. The opening for the motor cable is preferably arranged in the upper region, and the magnet is preferably arranged in the lower region. Due to gravity, the chips that penetrate through the opening from above fall from top to bottom and fall into the attraction area of the magnet, which then fixes the chips. Preferably, the lower region has a bottom region on the bottom side, which occupies the lower half or lower quarter of the lower region. The magnet is preferably arranged in the bottom region, which is particularly effective because the chips gather in the bottom region.
[0056] Advantageously, the first tool holder housing interior has an upper region and a lower region located below the axis. In the context of the invention, below the axis means that the region is arranged below at least substantially along the axis along the force vector of gravity.
[0057] Advantageously, the magnet is arranged in the lower region.
[0058] Advantageously, the magnet is a permanent magnet. The advantage of the magnet being a permanent magnet and protruding into the interior of the first tool holder housing is that it can provide a durable and reliable solution without relying on an external current supply. The permanent magnet in the sense of the invention continuously generates a magnetic field, which efficiently deflects the chips without having to supply current. This results in a reliable and cost-effective method to protect the interior of the tool holder housing and to protect sensitive components from metal particles. Since no external energy source is required, the maintenance and operating costs associated with the current supply are also saved, which reduces the overall operating costs. This is particularly advantageous in industrial applications, where a reliable and cost-effective solution for protecting electronic components from magnetic particles is sought.
[0059] Advantageously, the magnet is an electromagnet. The advantages of the magnet being an electromagnet and protruding into the interior of the first tool holder housing correspond to the advantages of permanent magnets in terms of targeted and efficient deflection of the chips and optimized use of space. However, electromagnets offer additional advantages due to their controllability. Electromagnets in the sense of the invention can switch the magnetic field on or off as required, which allows precise control of the chip guide system. This adaptability is particularly useful for optimizing the protection of sensitive components and increasing the efficiency of the system.
[0060] The possibility to put the electromagnet into energy-saving mode when the chip guidance system is not needed helps to reduce energy consumption and operating costs. This makes the electromagnet an efficient and cost-effective solution.
[0061] Advantageously, the magnet is a two-pole neodymium magnet having a diameter greater than 5 mm, preferably greater than 10 mm, further preferably greater than 20 mm.
[0062] Advantageously, the magnet is arranged in a positively locking manner via a snap-fit mechanism or in a materially locking manner via an adhesive connection or magnetically or by means of further magnets or a combination of these fixing methods.
[0063] These fastening methods allow for an uncomplicated installation of the magnets in the interior of the tool holder housing. This saves time and effort when setting up the system and allows for rapid commissioning.
[0064] The modularity provided by snap-on mechanisms, adhesive fixings or additional magnets allows easy removal or replacement of magnets when required. This increases the flexibility of the system and makes it easy to adapt it to specific requirements.
[0065] By using these fixing methods, no permanent changes or damage are caused to the interior space of the tool holder housing. This is particularly important if disassembly capabilities or system adaptation possibilities are desired.
[0066] Maintenance friendliness is improved, since the magnets can be easily cleaned, removed and repaired when necessary without being associated with significant effort. This minimizes downtimes and increases system efficiency.
[0067] The adaptability of the fixing method enables the selection of the most suitable method for a particular application. This ensures that the magnet is positioned securely and stably in the interior of the tool holder housing.
[0068] In general, the snap-fit mechanism, adhesive fixing or other magnets provide a practical and versatile solution for fixing the magnets in the interior space of the tool holder housing, which contributes to the flexibility, maintenance friendliness and efficiency of the system. [0075] Figure 5 Show Figure 1a Another perspective view of the vertical machine tool in FIG. DETAILED DESCRIPTION
[0076] Figure 1a A view of a vertical machine tool 100 in the form of a core drilling machine is shown. The machine 100 has a tool holder 12 in which a first tool holder housing interior 14 is located, which can be accessed by removing a housing cover 32 ( Figure 1b A chip guiding system comprising magnets 16 is strategically placed in the interior 14 so as to deflect chips generated during the drilling process and entering the interior space 14 of the tool holder housing by means of its induced magnetic field.
[0077] The vertical machine tool 100 is also equipped with a motor 18 (which is implemented as a drilling motor 18 in the illustrated embodiment) and a motor cable 20 (which is implemented as a drilling motor cable 20 in the illustrated embodiment). The cable extends along a guide channel 22 ( Figure 3 ) and extends from the drilling motor 18 through the first tool holder housing interior space 14 to the second tool holder housing interior space 24. Through the guide channel 22 associated with the chip guide system, the chips entering the first tool holder housing interior space 14 are limited and the direction of the chips entering is affected.
[0078] In addition, a second tool holder housing interior space 24 ( Figure 5), in which the electronic unit 26 is arranged. The second tool holder housing interior space 24 is connected to the first tool holder housing interior space 14 via a partition wall 28. The partition wall 28 also has at least one opening 30. The opening 30 is a connection between the drilling motor 18 and the electronic unit 26. In particular, this connection is a fluid connection, on the path of which the metal particles can reach the vicinity of the electronic unit 26 until they come into contact with the electronic unit 26.
[0079] In the embodiment shown, the magnet 16 is fixed to the partition wall 28. The first tool holder housing interior 14 is partially formed by a removable housing cover 32, see Figure 1b , which makes the accessibility and maintenance of this area easy. The first tool holder housing interior 14 has an upper area 36 and a lower area 38 below it relative to the dot-dash line in Figure 1. In the embodiment shown, the magnet 16 is arranged in the lower area 38, in particular in the bottom area.
[0080] Figure 2 Shows Figure 1a 1 , wherein the area around the partition wall 28 is enlarged in this partial view. The drilling motor cable 20 runs along a guide channel 22 and extends from the drilling motor 18 to the first tool holder housing interior 14. Metal particles or chips can reach the first tool holder housing interior 14 to a limited extent through the guide channel 22.
[0081] By adjusting the height along the axis A (FIG. 1), the drilling motor cable 20 is caused to move in the first tool holder housing interior 14. By the movement of the drilling motor cable 20, metal particles adhering to the drilling motor cable or located in the guide channel 22 or in the region of the guide channel can reach the first tool holder housing interior 14 in the direction of movement.
[0082] The arrangement of the magnet 16 and its induced magnetic field can deflect the chips that have reached the first interior of the tool holder housing and hold them in a force-locking manner in the magnetic field, thereby preventing or at least reducing the number of metal particles that pass through the opening 30 and protecting critical components, such as the electronic unit 26, from undesired contact with these metal particles or chips.
[0083] Figure 3 Shown according to Figure 2 A partial view of a vertical machine tool 100 with a transparent partition 28. Thus, Figure 3 and Figure 2The difference is that the electronics unit 26 is visible. It can be clearly seen how the electronics unit 26 is arranged in the second tool holder housing interior 24. Therefore, freely flying chips can come into undesired contact with the electronics unit 26 in the second tool holder housing interior 24 and have a negative impact on the operation of the vertical machine tool 100.
[0084] Figure 4 Shown according to Figure 3 30. The arrow interrupted by the dashed line shows a potential path for the chips to pass through one of the openings 30. If the chips reach through one of the openings 30, they could come into harmful contact with electronic components, such as the described electronic components 26. The magnetic field of the magnet 16 arranged in the support 34 deflects the chips on the trajectory induced by the dashed arrow and is thus prevented from reaching the second tool holder housing interior 24 via the opening 30. In the embodiment shown, the magnet 16 is a neodymium magnet with a diameter of 5 mm.
[0085] Figure 5 Another view of the vertical machine tool 100 is shown, wherein the machine is rotated by 90° along the axis A and essential components such as the locking flap are faded out. The second tool holder housing interior 24 can be seen together with the electronics unit 26 arranged therein, wherein the second tool holder housing interior 24 is connected to the first tool holder housing interior 14 via a partition wall 28. The partition wall 28 has a plurality of openings 30 here, so that there is a connection from the drilling motor 18 (not shown) to the electronics unit 26, through which chips can pass to the vicinity of the electronics unit 26.
[0086] The chips entering the first tool holder housing interior 14 are deflected by a chip guide system, in particular by a magnetic field induced by the magnets 14 .
[0087] Overall, the chip guide system with its arrangement of the guide channel 22 and the magnet 16 (with its magnetic field in the interior 14 of the tool holder housing) therefore helps to improve the safety, efficiency and functionality of the drilling process and the tools and electronics contained therein by making it possible to influence the trajectory of freely flying chips.
