Synthesis method for preparing alpha-HgS and beta-HgS by regulating and controlling proportion of sulfur source and mercury source and conversion of beta-HgS to alpha-HgS

By regulating the ratio of sulfur source and mercury source to synthesize α-HgS and β-HgS under mild conditions, and by supplementing sodium thiosulfate or mercuric nitrate to achieve the conversion of β-HgS to α-HgS, the synthesis difficulties in the existing technology are solved and a solution for color restoration of artworks is provided.

Abstract

The invention relates to a synthesis method for preparing alpha-HgS and beta-HgS by regulating and controlling the ratio of sodium thiosulfate to sodium sulfide to elemental sulfur and the ratio of mercuric chloride to mercuric nitrate, and conversion of beta-HgS to alpha-HgS. Regular hexahedral alpha-HgS and spherical beta-HgS are prepared under mild reaction conditions by regulating and controlling the ratio of sodium thiosulfate to sodium sulfide to elemental sulfur and the ratio of mercuric chloride to mercuric nitrate. The synthesis method is mild and simple, and overcomes the structural defects caused by a high-temperature synthesis method. In addition, conversion from beta-HgS to alpha-HgS is explored, black beta-HgS is successfully converted into red alpha-HgS through two conversion strategies of supplementing sodium thiosulfate / sodium sulfide / elemental sulfur and supplementing mercuric chloride / mercuric nitrate, and valuable reference information is expected to be provided for repairing the mural vermilion pattern.
