Description

TECHNICAL FIELD

[0001] The present application relates to a preparation method of a color-changing dye based on a disazo structure and its application, and belongs to the technical field of detecting environmental pH changes. BACKGROUND

[0002] In recent years, azo dyes have been widely used in pH sensing due to their adjustable molecular structure, high molar extinction coefficient, and strong color development characteristics. Among them, disazo dyes significantly improve spectral response performance by expanding the molecular conjugated system. Compared with monoazo dyes, the disazo structure can cause a red shift of more than 100 nm in the maximum absorption wavelength (e.g., from 513 nm to 606 nm), significantly enhancing the naked-eye recognition. A study by Kursk State University in 2024 (Novel halochromic disazostilbene dye with intramolecular color mixing effect for textile sensor material) showed that disazo stilbene dyes exhibited a clear color gradient (green → orange → purple) in the pH range of 3-10, with a response time of only 3 seconds, making them suitable for textile sensor materials.

[0003] However, existing disazo dyes still have the following problems:

[0004] (1) Complex synthesis process: Most require multi-step diazo-coupling reactions, and the yield is low;

[0005] (2) Poor water solubility: Although the introduction of sulfonic acid groups can improve water solubility, it often sacrifices color fastness or color change sensitivity, such as the commonly used Runba HRR red disazo solvent dye for plastic rubber, Solvent Red 23, which has poor color fastness;

[0006] (3) Poor interval response: The color change is weak within a certain range, and the wavelength change range is small, making it difficult to meet the needs of food packaging, biological fluid detection, and other scenarios; for example, the color-changing reactive dye in patent CN 115368753 A only changes color at a pH of 6-7, and the color transition is not obvious, making it difficult to meet the needs of high-precision detection, and the study by Kursk State University also only exhibits a clear color change in the pH range of 3-10.

[0007] In addition, although patents CN 118290962 A, CN 115725189 A, and CN 117586642 A all mention a structure of disazo or polyazo dyes, none of them indicate that the dyes have the function of pH-responsive color change. SUMMARY
