[0169] like Figure 1 As shown, the first ATC 511 and the second ATC 512 are arranged on the -X side of the first processing unit group 20. The second ATC 512 is arranged in the -Y direction (first Y direction) of the first ATC 511.

[0170] like Figure 7 as well as Figure 8As shown, the first ATC 511 includes a frame 501, a magazine cover (first magazine cover) 531, a magazine tray (first magazine tray) 551, a cam 571, a motor 561, a plurality of tool holding parts (first tool holding parts) 591, a gate (first gate) 731 and a rotating shaft 581.

[0171] For convenience, Figure 7 The first ATC511 indicates that Figure 1 The state is rotated 120 degrees counterclockwise toward the front.

[0172] The frame 501 extends from the sub-column 15b in the -X direction. The frame 501 supports the magazine plate 551, the magazine cover 531, the cam 571, and the motor 561. The motor 561 rotates the magazine plate 551.

[0173] The magazine cover 531 has a tool replacement port (first tool replacement port) 531a. The tool replacement port 531a is arranged in the first X direction (+X) of the magazine cover 531. The tool replacement port 531a is rectangular when viewed from the X direction. When viewed from the front (-Z direction), the tool replacement port 531a is C-shaped and is recessed in the -X direction.

[0174] The magazine 551 has a rotation axis 581. The magazine 551 rotates around the rotation axis 581. The magazine 551 is connected to a motor 561. The motor 561 indexes any one of the tool holding parts 591 or the gate center line 7 to the tool replacement position 81. The gate center line 7 connects the gate 731 and the center of the rotation axis 581.

[0175] The cam 571 is fixed to the frame 501. The cam 571 is a disk-shaped plate cam. The cam 571 has a profile curve 571a. The profile curve 571a has a distance 571b that is equal to the rotation axis 581 at a portion other than the tool replacement position 81. The profile curve 571a is shortened from the distance 571b at the tool replacement position 81 by a stroke length 571c.

[0176] The tool holding portion 591 includes a tool holding portion 591a and a tool holding portion 591b. Figure 7 In the embodiment, the tool holding portion 591 a is located at the tool replacement position 81 . The tool holding portion 591 b is located at a position other than the tool replacement position 81 .

[0177] The tool holding portion 591 is arranged on the outer periphery of the magazine 551. The tool holding portion 591 includes a pair of clamping rods 69, a clamping pin 70, a roller cam 71, a compression coil spring (first elastic body) 73, a key 72, a cylinder 61, a plunger 63, a compression coil spring (second elastic body) 67, and a cam follower 65. Hereinafter, the radially outer side of the magazine 551 is referred to as the front end direction, and the radially inner side is referred to as the base end direction.

[0178] The clamping rod 69 has a claw portion 69a and a rod portion 69b. The claw portion 69a is the front end portion of the clamping rod 69. The claw portion 69a clamps and holds the tool 1. The rod portion 69b is the base end portion of the clamping rod 69. A pair of clamping rods 69 are swingably supported on the storage tray 551 via a clamping pin 70. The clamping pin 70 supports the central portion of the clamping rod 69. The compression coil spring 73 is arranged between the pair of rod portions 69b to apply force to the rod portion 69b in a manner of pulling them apart from each other. The roller cam 71 is arranged at the base end portion of the rod portion 69b. In addition, the roller cam 71 can also be omitted. In addition, the compression coil spring 73 can also be omitted.

[0179] The key 72 is disposed between the pair of clamp rods 69. The key 72 is fixed to the magazine plate 551. When the clamp rods 69 hold the tool 1, the key 72 is inserted into the key groove 1b.

[0180] The cylinder 61 has a cylinder chamber 61a and a rod hole 61b. The cylinder 61 is, for example, prismatic. The cylinder 61 is disposed on the reservoir plate 551. The cylinder chamber 61a extends in the radial direction of the reservoir plate 551. The rod hole 61b is disposed at the base end of the cylinder 61 and connected to the cylinder chamber 61a.

[0181] The plunger 63 has a V-surface 63a, a piston 63c and a rod 63b. The plunger 63 reciprocates radially in the cylinder 61. The piston 63c slides in the cylinder chamber 61a. The V-surface 63a is arranged at the front end of the piston 63c. The V-surface 63a abuts against the roller cam 71. The rod 63b is connected to the base end of the piston 63c and passes through the rod hole 61b. A cam follower 65 is arranged at the base end of the rod 63b.

[0182] The compression coil spring 67 is disposed in the cylinder chamber 61a. The compression coil spring 67 urges the piston 63c toward the front end direction.

[0183] The gate 731 is arranged on the magazine 551. The gate 731 is rectangular when viewed from the radial direction. The gate 731 is C-shaped when viewed from the front (-Z direction), and the center portion is recessed radially inward. The gate 731, the tool holding portion 591 and the magazine 551 rotate integrally. Figure 1 ), the gate centerline 7 passes through the tool change position 81. When the gate 731 is located at the processing position 5, the shape of the gate 731 is consistent with the shape of the tool change port 531a when viewed from the Z direction. The gate 731 covers substantially the entire surface of the tool change port 531a. As the storage tray 551 rotates, the gate 731 is stored in the storage cover 531.

[0184] The method of using the first ATC511 is described.

[0185] The cam follower 65 of the tool holding portion 591b abuts against the cam 571. Therefore, the plunger 63 cannot move toward the center direction. The V-surface 63a of the plunger 63 abuts against the roller cam 71. Furthermore, the plunger 63 is urged toward the front end direction by the spring 67. Therefore, the clamping rod 69 is urged toward the closing direction. Therefore, the tool 1 held by the tool holding portion 591b is suppressed from being disengaged from the tool holding portion 591b.

[0186] Reference Figure 7 as well as Figure 8 , a method for transferring the tool 1 mounted on the first spindle 291c to the tool holding portion 591 is described. Figure 7 As shown in FIG. 1 , the first spindle 291c is stopped in advance with the keyway 1b facing the -X direction. Next, the first spindle 291c moves in the -X direction along the arrow 3 to the tool replacement position 81. At this time, as shown in FIG. Figure 7 As shown by the double-dotted line, the clamping rod 69 abuts against the flange portion (not shown) of the tool 1 and is pushed open. The contour curve 571a is recessed in the +X direction by a stroke length 571c. Therefore, the plunger 63 overcomes the elastic force of the spring 67 and moves toward the base end along the arrow 4. Moreover, while the plunger 63 moves, the clamping rod 69 is temporarily opened. When the first spindle 291c reaches the tool replacement position 81, the key 72 is inserted into the keyway 1b. Moreover, the plunger 63 is pushed back toward the front end by the spring 67. As a result, the claw portion 69a is closed and the clamping rod 69 holds the tool 1.

[0187] Then, if Figure 8 As shown, the first spindle 291c moves in the +Z direction along the arrow 5. As the first spindle 291c moves, the release device 291f releases the tool 1. As a result, the tool 1 is disengaged from the first spindle hole 291e. Then, the tool 1 is handed over from the first spindle 291c to the first ATC 511.

[0188] When the first ATC 511 hands over the tool 1 to the first spindle 291c, the steps of the above replacement method are performed in reverse. Figure 8 In the process, the first spindle 291c moves in the opposite direction of the arrow 5 (-Z direction), and the device 291f is released to clamp the tool 1. Figure 7 , the first spindle 291c moves in the opposite direction of arrow 3 (+X direction).

[0189] like Figure 1 as well as Figure 7 As shown, the second ATC 512 includes a frame 502, a storage cover (first storage cover) 532, a storage plate (first storage plate) 552, a cam 572, and a motor 562 (see Figure 8), a plurality of tool holding parts (first tool holding parts) 592 and a gate (first gate) 732. The storage cover 532 has a tool replacement port (first tool replacement port) 532a. The second ATC 512 is substantially the same as the first ATC 511. The second ATC 512 is arranged in the -Y direction (first Y direction) of the first ATC 511. The storage cover 532 is integrated with the storage cover 531.

[0190] like Figure 1 As shown, the third ATC 513 and the fourth ATC 514 are arranged on the +X side of the second processing unit group 22. The third ATC 513 and the fourth ATC 514 are symmetrical with the first ATC 511 and the second ATC 512 about the YZ plane. The fourth ATC 514 is arranged in the -Y direction (first Y direction) of the third ATC 513. When the third spindle 293c and the third ATC 513 replace the tool 1, the third spindle 293c moves in the +X direction and moves to the tool replacement position 83. At this time, the fourth spindle 294c moves to the tool replacement position 84 on the XY plane.

[0191] like Figure 1 as well as Figure 7 As shown, the third ATC 513 includes a frame 503, a magazine cover (second magazine cover) 533, a magazine tray (second magazine tray) 553, a cam 573, a motor 563, a plurality of tool holders (second tool holders) 593 and a gate (second gate) 733. The magazine cover 533 has a tool replacement port (second tool replacement port) 533a.

[0192] The fourth ATC 514 has a frame 504, a magazine cover (second magazine cover) 534, a magazine tray (second magazine tray) 554, a cam 574, a motor 564, a plurality of tool holders (second tool holders) 594 and a gate (second gate) 734. The magazine cover 534 has a tool replacement port (second tool replacement port) 534a. The magazine cover 534 is integrated with the magazine cover 533.

[0193] According to the horizontal processing machine 10 of this embodiment, the following effects are produced.

[0194] The bellows cover 40 includes a first X box 431 and two Y boxes 441 and 442. When the first X box 431 is tilted, the movement of the first X box 431 is hindered, and the damage of the first X bellows 451 and the second X bellows 452 is accelerated.

[0195] In contrast, in the present embodiment, the two Y boxes 441 and 442 are supported by the first body 291a and the second body 292a, respectively. The first body 291a and the second body 292a are guided by the first Y-axis guide 271. Therefore, when the first spindle 291c and the second spindle 292c are freely movable in the XYZ direction, the first body 291a and the second body 292a are located in a position parallel to the Y axis. Thus, the first X box 431 is prevented from tilting in the Y direction. Therefore, the movement of the first X box 431 becomes smooth. In addition, damage to the first X bellows 451 and the second X bellows 452 is prevented.

[0196] The second X box 432 is also substantially the same as the first X box 431 .

[0197] The tool replacement opening 531 a and the gate 731 are recessed in the −X direction when viewed from the Z direction. Therefore, when the gate 731 is located at the machining position 5 , the first spindle 291 c can move to the tool replacement position 81 .

[0198] The first machining unit 291 and the second machining unit 292 are both disposed on the first moving column 211. When the first spindle 291c and the first ATC 511 exchange the tool 1, the first spindle 291c moves to the tool exchange position 81. At the same time, the second spindle 292c moves to the tool exchange position 83.

[0199] When the first spindle 291 c replaces the tool 1 with the first ATC 511 , the second spindle 292 c can replace the tool 1 with the second ATC 512 at the same time.

[0200] In addition, when the first spindle 291c exchanges tool 1 with the first ATC511 and the second spindle 292c does not exchange tool 1 with the second ATC512, the gate 732 is located at the processing position 5. At this time, the tool exchange port 532a and the gate 732 are recessed in the -X direction when viewed from the Z direction. Therefore, the second spindle 292c does not collide with the second ATC512.

[0201] When the second spindle 292 c replaces the tool 1 with the second ATC 512 and the first spindle 291 c does not replace the tool 1 with the first ATC 511 , the first spindle 291 c does not collide with the first ATC 511 .

[0202] The relationship between the third main axis 293 c and the fourth main axis 294 c and the third ATC 513 and the fourth ATC 514 is substantially the same as the relationship between the first main axis 291 c and the second main axis 292 c and the first ATC 511 and the second ATC 512 .

[0203] The present invention is not limited to the above-mentioned embodiments, and various modifications can be made within the scope of the main purpose of the present invention, and all technical matters included in the technical ideas recorded in the claims become the objects of the present invention. Although the above-mentioned embodiments show preferred examples, those skilled in the art can implement various alternatives, modifications, variations or improvements according to the contents disclosed in this specification, which are included in the technical scope described in the attached claims.
