Description

The invention relates to a drill chuck according to the preamble of claim 1, having a chuck body which has a receptacle at its axially rearward end, having clamping jaws which can be adjusted relative to the chuck axis, and having a clamping sleeve which serves for adjusting the clamping jaws.Such drilling chucks are known from practice and the prior art and are described, for example, in EP 0 710 518 A2. Furthermore, DE 101 51 581 B4 discloses drilling chucks in which a pin with a non-rotationally symmetrical cross section is arranged at the axially rearward end of the drilling chuck in order to be able to provide a rotationally fixed coupling with the drilling spindle of a drilling machine. This coupling is releasable, so that a quick replacement of the drill chuck can be effected by adjusting an unlocking sleeve assigned to the drilling machine. DE 89 01 367 U1 discloses a toothed ring drill chuck which can be detachably coupled to a drilling spindle by a quick-change chuck and an insert piece assigned to the latter, wherein the insert piece has a threaded section for screwing into the receptacle of the chuck body and a pin having a groove into which a latching member can be introduced and detachably secured there by a sliding sleeve. The chuck body required for this drill chuck is a special production which involves high costs, in particular since the axial length of the chuck body also increases and a greater material use is thereby required. It is the object of the invention to design a drilling chuck of the type mentioned at the beginning such that the drilling chuck can be produced cost-effectively.This object is achieved according to the invention by a drill chuck having the features of claim 1.In this embodiment, there is the advantage that the drilling chuck can be manufactured, mounted and ground under series conditions, while in order to realize the quick-change properties, the adapter body is provided which can be inserted into the drilling spindle receptacle of a conventional chuck body.It is furthermore preferred if the chuck body and the adapter body can be connected by a threaded connection and if a drive insert which can be pressed into the adapter body after the threaded connection has been produced is provided for caulking the thread and for transmitting torque from the drilling spindle. The threaded connection can be produced and realized very cost-effectively, while the non-detachable connection, desired for the drill chuck according to the invention, between the chuck body and the adapter body is created by the drive insert, which, when pressed into the adapter receptacles, leads to a caulking of the thread turns of the threads of adapter body and chuck body that are in threaded engagement. For the coupling to the spindle of the drilling machine, it is preferred if the drive insert is of non-round cross-section and protrudes into the adapter receptacle. The invention is explained in more detail below with reference to an exemplary embodiment shown in the drawing; it shows: FIG. 1 is a longitudinal section through the inventive drill chuck before the connection of the adapter body to the chuck body, FIG. 2 is a longitudinal section through the inventive drill chuck after the connection of the adapter body to the chuck body, FIG. 3 is a perspective, partially cut-away view of the parts from FIG. 1 ; and FIG. 4 shows a representation corresponding to FIG. 3 of the configuration from FIG. 2.In the drawing, a drill chuck 1 is shown in FIG. 1. This chuck 1 has a chuck body 2 with guide receptacles which are aligned inclined with respect to the chuck axis 3 and in which clamping jaws 4 are guided in a longitudinally displaceable manner and which have a row of teeth 5 radially on the outside for engagement in the clamping thread of a threaded ring 6. In the exemplary embodiment shown in the drawing, it is possible within the scope of the invention to form the clamping sleeve 7 and the threaded ring 6 in one piece, since the clamping sleeve 7 can be mounted axially from the front on the chuck body 2 and secured by a securing ring. The chuck body 2 has a receptacle 8 at its axially rearward end. An adapter body 9 can be inserted into this receptacle 8 and coupled in a torque-transmitting manner, namely by means of a threaded connection, with an external thread formed on the axially front end of the adapter body 9 and an internal thread formed in the receptacle 8. The adapter body 9 has an adapter receptacle 10 for releasable connection to the drilling spindle of a drilling machine and at least one latching member 13 which can be adjusted by an unlocking sleeve 12 in the wall 11 of said adapter receptacle. On the inner periphery of the unlocking sleeve 12 a control cam 14 is formed for acting on the locking member 13 formed as a locking ball. Furthermore, a restoring spring 15 is provided which acts on the unlocking sleeve 12 axially and which is supported on the clamping sleeve 7 when the adapter body 9 is connected to the chuck body 2. Between the chuck body 2 and the adapter body 9, a threaded connection is formed, as explained above. A drive insert 16 can be pressed into the adapter body 9, which leads to the caulking of the thread between the adapter body 9 and the chuck body 2. The drive insert 16 is of non-round cross-section, namely as a hexagon in the exemplary embodiment shown in the drawing. Furthermore, the drive insert 16 protrudes into the adapter receptacle 10, so that a correspondingly correspondingly shaped drilling spindle with a spindle receptacle adapted to the cross section of the drive insert can be plugged onto the drive insert 16. The spindle is furthermore assigned a groove in the circumferential direction, into which the latching ball can enter.List of reference characters1 Drill chuck 2 chuck body 3 chuck axis 4 clamping jaws 5 row of teeth 6 threaded ring 7 clamping sleeve 8 receptacle 9 adapter body 10 adapter receptacle 11 wall 12 unlocking sleeve 13 locking member 14 control cam 15 restoring spring 16 drive insert
