Description

[0001] The present invention relates to a cup holder. In particular, the present invention relates to a console of a vehicle which has a cup holder with a structure that makes it possible to adjust the height as well as the front and rear position of the cup holder.

[0002] Generally, a center console is installed in the interior of a vehicle in a space between the driver's seat and the passenger seat. A cup holder is either integrated into the center console or detachably mounted to it.

[0003] Most conventional center console cup holders come with one or two pre-made specifications. However, finding space to mount a cup holder in the center console can be difficult, as the console design is already challenging due to the need to accommodate a wireless charging pad for a mobile phone, a gear shift knob, storage compartments, and so on, in addition to the cup holder.

[0004] For this reason, the size of a beverage container that can be accommodated by the cup holder is limited.

[0005] Furthermore, the console height was increased to improve interior design and practicality. If a beverage container is placed in a cupholder in a console of high height, the driver may find their arm awkwardly bumping against the top of the container when operating the gearshift or climate control switch.

[0006] If, on the other hand, the cup holder provided in the console is deep, it is inconvenient to place a cup of low height, such as a paper cup, in it or to remove it from it.

[0007] The above description of the related technology is intended only to provide a better understanding of the general background of the present invention and should not be understood as prior art, which is well known to a person skilled in the art.

[0008] DE 20 2014 102 714 U1 provides an arrangement consisting of a cup holder and a storage compartment.

[0009] DE 103 59 294 A1 provides a holder for a beverage container for vehicles.

[0010] Accordingly, the present invention is intended to solve the problems mentioned above. The object of the invention is therefore to provide a console with a cup holder in which the mounting height of a detachable cup holder can be adjusted depending on the height of the beverage container to be accommodated. The position of the detachable cup holder can be moved slidably or slidably to accommodate beverage containers with large volume and diameter as well as those with small volume and diameter, by allowing the detachable cup holder to be connected to the console space in such a way that the height and the front and rear positions are adjustable.

[0011] To solve this problem, the present invention provides a console with a cup holder according to claim 1. Further embodiments are defined in the dependent claims.

[0012] Furthermore, a console with a cup holder according to the present disclosure comprises a separable cup holder, comprising a holder body on which a holder section of a predetermined depth is formed, a button arranged on the holder body for pressing, a sliding piece formed integrally with a lower section of the button and mounted to be pressed on an outside of the holder body, and a cup holder storage compartment provided with a sliding recess along a longitudinal direction on an inner wall surface thereof.

[0013] Two or more rows of sliding recesses with different relative heights can be formed along the longitudinal direction on the inner wall surface of the cup holder storage compartment. The sliding element of the detachable cup holder can, for example, be detachably connected to a selected sliding recess for height adjustment.

[0014] Furthermore, a button exit and entry block, in which button exit and entry openings are formed on both sides, can be formed on an upper section of the holder body. A sliding element exit and entry opening, through which the sliding element, integrally formed with the button, exits and enters, can be formed on both side surfaces of the holder body.

[0015] Furthermore, a spring can be connected between two buttons in an interior of the button exit and entry block.

[0016] In a further embodiment of the present disclosure, a closure which enables or limits the positional movement of the sliding piece of the separable cup holder can also be mounted to be opened and closed between the cup holder storage compartment and a console storage compartment which is opened and closed by an armrest.

[0017] Sliding extension recesses can be formed on a surface of the closure and a side wall surface of the console storage compartment, wherein the sliding piece of the detachable cup holder moves out of the sliding recess of the cup holder storage compartment in order to be inserted into it.

[0018] An upper hinge recess and a lower hinge recess, which become pivot points of the closure, can be formed at a position between the cup holder storage compartment and the console storage compartment. An upper hinge pin and a lower hinge pin, which are separably or detachably inserted into the upper hinge recess and the lower hinge recess, can be formed on an upper section and a lower section of a side end section, thereby forming the pivot points of the closure.

[0019] A guide recess, in which a spring is arranged, can be formed on a lower section of one side end of the closure. The lower pivot pin can be connected to the spring and inserted into and connected to the spring so that it protrudes from the guide recess.

[0020] The sliding recesses and the sliding extension recesses can be arranged to be aligned with each other so that the sliding piece of the separable cup holder can move when the closure is opened.

[0021] Furthermore, a locking recess containing a spring may be formed on the other end section of the breech. A locking pin may be connected to the spring in the locking recess and inserted into and connected to the spring, protruding from the other end section of the breech.

[0022] By providing the above-mentioned solutions to the aforementioned problems, the present invention / disclosure provides the following effects: Firstly, it is possible to adjust the mounting height of the detachable cup holder depending on the height of the beverage container to be received / placed by allowing the detachable cup holder to be supported in such a way that the height and the front and rear position in the console space, which includes the cup holder storage compartment and the console storage compartment, are adjustable.

[0023] Secondly, a tall beverage container can be securely held by adjusting the mounting height of the detachable cup holder to a lower setting, thereby reducing the container's holding depth. Furthermore, this prevents the driver's arm from hitting the beverage container when operating the gearshift or climate control switch.

[0024] Thirdly, it is possible to secure a space (a storage compartment space for the cup holder, after the detachable cup holder has been moved by sliding or sliding) for accommodating a beverage container with a large volume and diameter and a small volume and diameter by moving the position of the detachable cup holder by sliding or sliding it towards the console storage compartment, which is opened and closed by the armrest.

[0025] Further aspects and embodiments of the invention / disclosure are explained below.

[0026] It is noted that the term "vehicle," as used in this application, refers to vehicles in general, for example, passenger cars, including SUVs, buses, trucks, various commercial vehicles, watercraft including a wide variety of boats and ships, aircraft, and the like, as well as hybrid vehicles, electric vehicles, plug-in hybrid vehicles, hydrogen-powered vehicles, and other vehicles powered by alternative fuels (for example, vehicles powered by non-petroleum-derived fuels). [0031] The reference numerals in the figures refer to identical or equivalent parts of the present invention.

[0032] Various embodiments of the present invention are discussed in detail below, with examples illustrated in the attached drawings and described below. Although the invention is described in connection with exemplary embodiments, it should be noted that the invention is not limited to these embodiments by the present description. On the contrary, the invention is intended to include not only the exemplary embodiments but also numerous alternatives, modifications, equivalents, and other embodiments.

[0033] It is noted that throughout the description, if a component is described as "featuring" any other component, this does not exclude other components and it may therefore also include the other components unless otherwise stated.

[0034] Fig. 1 to Fig. Figure 4 shows a detachable cup holder according to the present invention / disclosure and a state in which it is mounted on a console. In each figure, reference numeral 100 denotes a detachable cup holder. Reference numeral 200 denotes a console.

[0035] The detachable cup holder 100 can have a holder body 110 as its framework, which has two or more holder sections 112 formed at a front and a rear position thereon. The holder sections 112 can be concave with a predetermined depth into which a lower section of a beverage container or the like is inserted.

[0036] Furthermore, a button exit and entry block 114 with a hollow shape can be formed on an upper surface section of the holder body 110, for example at a location between two holder sections 112. A button exit and entry opening 116, through which a button 120 exits and enters, can be formed on both sides of the button exit and entry block 114.

[0037] Furthermore, a sliding piece exit and entry opening 132, through which a sliding piece 130 exits and enters, can be formed on both side surfaces of the holder body 112.

[0038] The knob 120 and the sliding piece 130 can be provided as a pair of integral structures.

[0039] For example, the sliding piece 130 can be integrally shaped to be vertically curved from a lower end section of the knob 120.

[0040] Since the knob 120 and the sliding piece 130 are designed as an integral structure, the knob 120 is arranged at the knob outlet and inlet opening 116. The sliding piece 130 is arranged in the sliding piece outlet and inlet opening 132.

[0041] A spring 140 is compressible and connected between two buttons 120, which are arranged on both sides of the button exit and entry block 114.

[0042] When the two buttons 120 are pressed together, the spring 140 is compressed accordingly. Both buttons 120 are moved through the button exit and entry opening 116 into the button exit and entry block 114. The sliding piece 130 is simultaneously moved into the sliding piece exit and entry opening 132.

[0043] Releasing the pressure on the buttons 120 causes them to return from the button exit and entry opening 116 due to the elastic restoring force of the spring 140. Simultaneously, the sliding piece 130 also returns from the sliding piece exit and entry opening 132.

[0044] The console 200 can be mounted between the driver's seat and the passenger's seat. A front panel of the cupholder storage compartment 210 can be provided. A console storage compartment 220, which is opened and closed by an armrest 230 (as in Fig. 13 shown) can be formed at the rear of the cup holder storage compartment 210.

[0045] At least two rows of sliding recesses 212 can be formed along the longitudinal direction on both inner wall surfaces of the cup holder storage compartment 210. Each sliding recess 212 can be arranged at a predetermined distance in the upward and downward directions.

[0046] Accordingly, the detachable cup holder 100 can be connected to the cup holder storage compartment 210 in a height-adjustable manner.

[0047] The sliding piece 130 can be inserted into one of the selected sliding recesses 212 of the cup holder storage compartment 210 to adjust / change the height of the separable cup holder 100.

[0048] Referring to the Fig. 5. The detachable cup holder 100 can be inserted into the cup holder storage compartment 210. After pressing both buttons 120, so that each button 120 is moved through the button exit and entry opening 116 into the button exit and entry block 114, and simultaneously moving the sliding piece 130 into the sliding piece exit and entry opening 132, the mounting height of the detachable cup holder 100 in the cup holder storage compartment 210 can be adjusted upwards by releasing the pressure on the two buttons 120, in order to insert the sliding piece 130 into the upper sliding recess 212 and connect it to the upper sliding recess 212.

[0049] Accordingly, the height of the holder body 110 of the detachable cup holder 100 and the position of the holder section 112 are adjusted upwards so that the user can easily and conveniently insert and remove the beverage container (for example, a paper cup) with a low height into and out of the holder section 112.

[0050] The mounting height of the separable cup holder 100 is adjusted downwards by releasing the pressure on the two buttons 120 and inserting the sliding piece 130 into the lower sliding recess 212 for connection.

[0051] Accordingly, the height of the holder body 110 of the detachable cup holder 100 and the position of the holder section 112 are adjusted downwards, so that the user can insert a tall beverage container into the holder section 112. This prevents the driver from touching the beverage container or the like with their arm when operating the gearshift knob or the air conditioning switch.

[0052] Fig. 6 to Fig. Figure 8 shows a configuration for adjusting the front and rear positions of the detachable cup holder according to the present invention / disclosure. In each figure, reference numeral 150 denotes a closure.

[0053] In the closed position, the closure 150 serves to separate the cup holder storage compartment 210 from the console storage compartment 220, which is opened and closed by the armrest 230, and in the open position serves to guide the adjustment of the separable cup holder 100 into the forward and backward position.

[0054] As in Fig. As shown in Figure 6, the closure 150 can be mounted to open and close at a limit position between the cup holder storage compartment 210 and the console storage compartment 220, in order to delimit or separate the cup holder storage compartment 210 and the console storage compartment 220. At the same time, the closure 150 limits the positional movement of the sliding piece 130 of the separable cup holder 100 in the closed position and allows movement of the sliding piece 130 of the separable cup holder 100 in the open position.

[0055] As in Fig. As shown in Figure 7, a sliding extension recess 160 can be formed on a surface of the closure 150 that corresponds to the sliding recess 212 of the cup holder storage compartment 210. The sliding extension recess 160 can also be formed on a wall surface of the console storage compartment 220 that faces one surface of the closure 150. The sliding element 130 of the detachable cup holder 100 can be moved from the sliding recess 212 of the cup holder storage compartment 210 into the sliding extension recess 160 and inserted.

[0056] Furthermore, 150 rotations can be used for opening and closing the closure, as shown in Fig. Figure 8 shows an upper hinge recess 214 and a lower hinge recess 216 formed at an edge of the boundary between the cup holder storage compartment 210 and the console storage compartment 220, wherein these are pivot points. An upper hinge pin 151 and a lower hinge pin 152, which are detachably inserted into the upper hinge recess 214 and the lower hinge recess 216 respectively, can be formed to project from an upper section and a lower section of a side end section of the closure 150, wherein these are pivot points of the closure 150.

[0057] A rotation of the 150 closure into an open position is in Fig. 9 shown. The sliding recess 212 and the sliding extension recess 160 are arranged so that they are aligned linearly with each other, so that the sliding piece 130 of the separable cup holder 100 can be moved back and forth.

[0058] For this reason, the sliding piece 130 is moved from the sliding recess 212 into the sliding extension recess 160 by pushing the detachable cup holder 100 backwards, as shown in Fig. Figure 10 shows the detachable cup holder 100 being moved towards the console storage compartment 220, so that ample space can be provided to accommodate a beverage container with a large volume and diameter (for example, a water glass) and one with a small volume and diameter (the front space of the cup holder storage compartment 210 after the detachable cup holder has been moved).

[0059] To separate the 150 closure, as in Fig. As shown in Figure 8, a guide recess 154, into which a spring 153 is inserted, can be formed on a lower section of one end of the clasp 150. The lower hinge pin 152 can be inserted into the guide recess 154 to be connected to and attached to the spring 153, protruding from it.

[0060] Accordingly, the lower hinge pin 152 is inserted into the guide recess 154, while simultaneously the spring 153 is compressed to separate the latch 150 by pressing an upper section of the latch 150 to compress the lower hinge pin 152. This allows the cup holder storage compartment 210 and the console storage compartment 220 to be used as one space.

[0061] The latch 150 should be held in a fixed closed position to separate the cup holder storage compartment 210 and the console storage compartment 220 into separate spaces.

[0062] To fix the closure 150 in the closed position, the other end section of the closure 150 can be designed with a locking recess 157 which contains a spring 156. A locking pin 158 can be connected to the spring 156 and inserted into the locking recess 157, protruding from it.

[0063] The locking pin 158, in the closed position of the closure 150, is in close contact with the inner wall surface of the boundary between the cup holder storage compartment 210 and the console storage compartment 220, while protruding due to the elastic restoring force of the spring 156, so that the closure 150 does not move in the closed position. Accordingly, the closure 150 can be firmly fixed without moving in the closed position.

[0064] The detachable cup holder of the present invention / disclosure can be used and modified in various ways. Examples of use and modification are described below.

[0065] Fig. 11a to Fig. Figure 11d shows various examples of the use of a console having a cup holder according to the present invention / disclosure.

[0066] As in Fig. As shown in Figure 11a, the cup holder storage compartment 210 and the console storage compartment 220 are divided into separate compartments in the closed position of the closure 150, as described above. The detachable cup holder 100 can be placed on the cup holder storage compartment 210 for use as described above.

[0067] As in Fig. As shown in Figure 11b, the front space of the cup holder storage compartment can provide a space for receiving a beverage container with a large volume and diameter (for example, a water glass) or a beverage container with a small volume and diameter, as well as other small items or objects, by moving the detachable cup holder 100 in the open position of the closure 150 in a sliding or slidable manner towards the console storage compartment 220, as described above.

[0068] As in Fig. As shown in Figure 11c, the detachable cup holder 100 can be separated or detached from the cup holder storage compartment 210 when not in use. The cup holder storage compartment 210 and the console storage compartment 220, which are separated from each other in the closed position of the latch 150, can only be used for their respective housings / mounts.

[0069] As in Fig. As shown in 11d, the separable cup holder 100 and the closure 150 can be separated or detached so that the cup holder storage compartment 210 and the console storage compartment 220 can be used as a single receiving space.

[0070] Fig. Figures 12a-12e show variations of the console having a cup holder according to the present disclosure / invention.

[0071] As in Fig. As shown in Figure 12a, the separable cup holder 100 can be provided with a structure in which two or more holder sections 112 are formed, as shown in Fig. 12b shown. Alternatively, the detachable cup holder 100 can be provided with a structure having one holder section 112 and another holder section (for example, a mobile phone holder storage compartment). As shown in Fig. As shown in Figure 12c, the separable cup holder 100 can be provided with a structure that has a wide storage compartment.

[0072] Furthermore, as in Fig. As shown in Figure 12d, the separable cup holder 100 can be divided into two low-height structures to allow for separate arrangement of an upper or lower part. The low-height structures can also be arranged individually as a single high-height structure.

[0073] Furthermore, as in Fig. As shown in Figure 12e, separable cup holders 100 with different heights can be provided separately in order to be arranged together along the longitudinal direction.

[0074] The armrest 230, which opens and closes the upper section of the console storage compartment 220, can be designed in various shapes for different vehicle types. As shown in Fig.As shown in Figure 13, the front end section of the armrest 230 can be provided with a diagonal shape. In this case, the rear surface of the detachable cup holder 100 and the installation direction of the closure 150 can be provided parallel to the front diagonal line of the armrest 230.
