Abstract
Description
The present invention relates to an air vent, in particular for a ventilation system of a vehicle. Furthermore, the invention relates to a ventilation system having an air vent of this type.In ventilation devices for vehicles, air vents or air outlet nozzles are generally used, which make possible a specific control of the emerging air jet. Such air vents serve for the supply of fresh air in particular into a vehicle interior. The air flow flows via an inlet opening at an air inlet region of the air vent into the air duct bounded by the housing wall of the air vent, through the air duct and finally through an outlet opening at the air outlet region of the air vent into the interior of a vehicle (for example, a passenger car or truck). The air flow in this case fundamentally follows a main flow direction, which can in particular run at least substantially parallel to a longitudinal axis of the housing of the air vent.In known air vents, the air flow is deflected from the main flow direction by one or more air guiding elements, for example pivotable air guiding blades. For deflecting the air from the main flow direction, the housing of the air vent delimiting the air duct can also serve, in addition to the air guiding elements. Thus, air vents are known whose housing walls converge in an arcuate manner at least in the air inlet region, wherein an air flow directed onto the arcuate housing wall by an air guiding element follows the arcuate shape and thus experiences a corresponding deflection.Such air vents are known, for example, from DE 20 2015 102 026 U1 and DE 10 2017 111 011 A1.Reference is also made to the publication DE 20 2013 012 285 U1. In the air vent known from this prior art, two mutually opposite housing walls of the air vent housing are of arcuate configuration. An air guiding element having a first air guiding surface and a second air guiding surface opposite the first air guiding surface is arranged in the air vent housing, wherein a first air channel is formed by the housing and the first air guiding surface and a second air channel is formed by the housing and the second air guiding surface. The first air duct is designed to transport a first volume flow of air, which can flow into the housing through the air inlet opening, to the air outlet opening, while the second air duct is designed to transport a second volume flow of air, which can flow into the housing through the air inlet opening, to the air outlet opening.Furthermore, in the air vent known from the publication DE 20 2013 012 285 U1, a wing element is arranged in the housing, wherein the wing element is arranged movably in an air inlet section between the air inlet opening and the end of the air guiding element facing the latter. The movability of the wing element is designed such that the direction of the air flowing out at the air outlet opening is adjusted due to the position of the wing element.Owing to the arcuate configuration of the housing wall, however, such air vents are very complicated to produce, in particular by way of a plastic injection molding process.Furthermore, the air vent known from the publication DE 20 2013 012 285 U1 has certain disadvantages with regard to the total achievable throughput of the air quantity to be introduced into the interior of the vehicle. In particular, the mode of operation of the air vent known from the publication DE 20 2013 012 285 U1 is based on the fact that an air deflection is achieved by varying the volume flows (first and second volume flows) through the two air ducts formed with the aid of the air guiding element. In the known air vent, by adjusting or varying the ratio of the volume flows which flow through the first and second air ducts, a desired air deflection of the air flowing out of the air outlet region of the air vent substantially takes place. However, it has been shown here that the mechanism for causing an air deflection proposed in DE 20 2013 012 285 U1 reduces the performance of the air vent, that is to say the volume flow that can be output by the air vent per unit time and / or the "quality" of the volume flow that can be output by the air vent that can be achieved in particular with regard to the air flow fanning out and alignment. Above all, with the approach known from DE 20 2013 012 285 U1, for example, no uniformly distributed volume flow can be realized at different positions of the air vent at the air outlet region of the air vent.Apart from these disadvantages, the air vent known from the publication DE 20 2013 012 285 U1 in particular has disadvantages in air deflection due to its concept. Thus, in the known air vent, for example even in the straight-ahead position of the air guiding elements, the air is frequently deflected or redirected a plurality of times within the housing of the air vent, which results in an increased flow resistance. As a result, the effect of the air guiding elements accommodated by the housing of the air vent is greatly impaired, in particular for a horizontal air deflection. In addition, the increased flow resistance upstream of the outlet opening of the air vent widens the exiting air flow, which is likewise generally not desired. Finally, the kinematic system used in the air vent known from the publication DE 20 2013 012 285 U1 has a relatively complicated structure, which likewise increases the overall size of the air vent and increases susceptibility to errors. On the basis of this problem, the object of the present invention is to further develop an air vent of the type mentioned at the beginning and in particular an air vent, as is known-at least in principle-from the publication DE 20 2013 012 285 U1-to the effect that, despite a simple construction, an optimized air deflection is ensured, wherein at the same time the overall performance of the air vent is improved. In particular, a slot-shaped air vent with these properties is to be specified. This object is achieved according to the invention by an air vent according to the independent patent claims 1 and 7, wherein advantageous developments of the air vent according to the invention are specified in the dependent claims.Accordingly, the invention relates in particular to an air vent for a vehicle, wherein the air vent is designed, in particular, as a two-channel or multi-channel air vent, in a manner similar to the air vent known from the publication DE 20 2013 012 285 U1. The air vent according to the invention has a housing with an air inlet region and with an opposite air outlet region. In addition, an air flow splitter is accommodated at least in regions in the housing of the air vent in such a way that an air duct delimited or defined by the housing is divided at least in regions or in sections into a first air duct and into a second air duct separated therefrom. Both the first air duct and the second air duct are defined on the one hand by a side face of the air flow splitter and on the other hand by a wall section of the housing. The air flow splitter is preferably arranged in a fixed position relative to the housing of the air vent.In particular, the air flow splitter is designed and accommodated within the housing of the air vent such that the shape and the effective flow cross section of the first air duct and of the second air duct are identical or at least substantially identical.According to one aspect of the present invention, it is provided in particular that, for dividing, as required, the air flow flowing per unit time overall through the air duct delimited or defined by the housing into a first air flow portion flowing through the first air duct and into a second air flow portion flowing through the second air duct, the air vent has an in particular flap-shaped air flow regulating element. The air flow regulating element, which is in particular flap-shaped, is pivotable relative to the air flow splitter starting from a neutral position in which the air flow regulating element-as viewed in the main flow direction of the air flow flowing through the air outlet-is at least partially and / or in regions and preferably completely aligned with the air flow splitter, so that an air supply to the first or second air duct is blocked at least partially or in regions. In other words, the effective flow cross section of the first or second air duct is regulated with the aid of the air flow regulating element, in order to divide the respective air flow portion of the air vent that flows or can be flowed through the first or second air duct. In this way, the ratio of the volume flows which flow through the first and second air ducts can be adjusted or varied, so that a desired air deflection of the air flowing out of the air outlet region of the air vent can be effected. At least in the region of the air flow splitter, the opposite side walls of the housing of the air vent preferably run at least substantially parallel to one another. In this context, it is conceivable for the mutually opposite wall regions of the air flow splitter to converge towards one another downstream of the air flow splitter and in particular at the air outlet region, in order thus to support a vertical air deflection and to improve the overall performance of the air vent, for example. With regard to the air flow regulating element, according to embodiments of the air vent according to the invention, it is provided that the air flow regulating element is arranged at least partially or in regions upstream of the air flow splitter and is mounted pivotably about a pivot axis relative to the air flow splitter. It is thereby expedient that the pivot axis extends perpendicular to the main flow direction of the air flow flowing through the air outlet, namely preferably in a region in which the air duct is already divided into the first air duct and the second air duct by the air flow divider. In order to be able to realize a particularly compact design of the air vent, according to embodiments of the invention it is provided that the air flow regulating element is pivotable relative to the air flow splitter on a circular segment-shaped path. Preferably, the air flow regulating element has a cross-sectional geometry which is adapted in particular to the circular segment-shaped path and in particular corresponds to the circular segment-shaped path. Of course, however, other configurations and shapes for the air flow regulating element are also possible. With regard to a particularly flat design of the air vent, it is appropriate that the air flow regulating element is mounted pivotably relative to the air flow splitter in such a way that even in a state of the air flow regulating element pivoted with regard to the neutral position of the air flow regulating element, the air flow regulating element does not project into the first air duct or into the second air duct.In particular, in variant embodiments of the air vent, it is provided that the air flow regulating element is dimensioned such that, even in a state of the air flow regulating element which is pivoted to the maximum extent out of the neutral position relative to the air flow splitter, the air flow regulating element covers not more than 95%, preferably not more than 90%, and even more preferably not more than 75% of the effective flow cross section of the first or second air duct.In other words, even in the swung-out state, the air flow regulating member does not completely cover the first and / or second air passages, so that air can still pass through the first and / or second air passages. This has the advantage that a lower pressure loss then occurs. Furthermore, this leads to reduced noise generation.According to implementations of the air vent according to the invention, it is provided that the air flow splitter is dimensioned and / or accommodated at least in regions in the housing such that the air duct bounded or defined by the housing is divided at least in regions or in sections into a first air duct having a first effective flow cross section and into a second air duct separated therefrom having a second effective flow cross section, wherein the first effective flow cross section is different from the second effective flow cross section.According to a further (second) aspect of the present invention, which can be combined with the previously described first aspect of the invention, the invention relates to an air vent for a vehicle, wherein the air vent is again preferably designed as a two-channel or multi-channel air vent and has a housing with an air inlet region and an opposite air outlet region. Likewise, in this further (second) aspect of the invention, it is provided that an air flow splitter is accommodated at least in regions in the housing of the air vent in such a way that an air duct bounded or defined by the housing is divided at least in regions or in sections into a first air duct and into a second air duct separated therefrom. In the second aspect of the present invention as well, it is preferred that the effective flow cross section and the geometry of the first air duct and of the second air duct are at least substantially identical. It is likewise preferred that the air flow splitter is arranged in a fixed position relative to the housing of the air vent. As in the first aspect of the present invention, the first air duct is defined by a side wall of the air flow splitter on the one hand and a wall region of the housing of the air vent on the other hand. The same applies in the transferred sense to the second air duct.In the further (second) aspect of the present invention, it is provided in particular that, for blocking, as required, both an air flow flowing through the first air duct and an air flow flowing through the second air duct, the air vent has at least one air flow blocking element which, starting from a neutral position in which the at least one air flow blocking element-as viewed in the main flow direction of the air flow flowing through the air vent-is at least partially and / or regionally and preferably completely aligned with the air flow splitter, is pivotable relative to the air flow splitter, so that both the first air duct and the second air duct are blocked or can be blocked at least substantially in terms of flow.In contrast to the already mentioned air flow regulating element, however, the at least one air flow blocking element does not serve to set or vary the ratio of the volume flows flowing through the first and second air ducts, but rather serves, as required, to at least substantially completely block the volume flows flowing through the first and second air ducts.According to realizations of this embodiment of the air vent according to the invention, it is provided that the at least one air flow blocking element is arranged at least partially or in regions upstream of the air flow splitter and is mounted pivotably about a pivot axis relative to the air flow splitter. It is thereby expedient that the pivot axis extends perpendicular to the main flow direction of the air flow flowing through the air outlet, namely preferably in a region of the air outlet in which the air duct is already divided into the first and the second air duct by the air flow divider.Alternatively or additionally, it is conceivable that the at least one air flow blocking element is pivotable on a circular segment-shaped path relative to the air flow splitter. For this purpose, it is advantageous that the at least one air flow blocking element has a cross-sectional geometry which is adapted in particular to the circular segment-shaped path and preferably corresponds to the circular segment-shaped path.According to preferred implementations of the air vent according to the invention, it is provided that the at least one air flow blocking element is mounted pivotably relative to the air flow splitter in such a way that in a state of the at least one air flow blocking element pivoted with respect to the neutral position of the at least one air flow blocking element, the at least one air flow blocking element protrudes at least partially or in regions into the first air duct and into the second air duct. With regard to the at least one air flow blocking element, it is appropriate that it has a first blocking element assigned to the first air duct and a second blocking element assigned to the second air duct. Preferably, the first blocking element is operatively coupled or operatively connected to the second blocking element in such a way that, when the first blocking element is pivoted relative to the air flow splitter from the neutral position into a position that blocks the first air duct at least substantially in terms of flow, the second blocking element is pivoted (automatically) together relative to the air flow splitter from the neutral position into a position that blocks the second air duct at least substantially in terms of flow. The same applies in the transferred sense also to the return movement of the first or second blocking element from the corresponding blocking position into the neutral position. In particular in this context, it is appropriate that the first and / or second blocking element is assigned a sealing element which, in the position of the first and / or second blocking element blocking the first and / or second air duct, abuts against an inner wall region of the housing, wherein the sealing element preferably also serves as a stop and is designed to prevent the first blocking element from being pivotable into the second air duct and the second blocking element from being pivotable into the first air duct.Preferably, the first and second blocking elements are each designed as elements which are at least substantially in the form of a segment of a circle, as seen in cross section in each case, and which are arranged coaxially with respect to one another in their neutral position. As already stated, the invention also relates to a combination of the aforementioned second aspect with the aforementioned first aspect. In other words, the invention nevertheless relates to an air vent which has both an in particular flap-shaped air flow regulating element and at least one air flow blocking element. In this combination of the two aspects according to the invention, it is expedient with regard to a particularly compact and flat design of the air vent for the air flow regulating element to be designed as an element which is at least substantially in the form of a segment of a circle and is arranged coaxially with the blocking elements when the blocking elements are in their neutral position, as seen in cross section.Alternatively or additionally, it is advantageous that the air flow regulating element-at least in the neutral position-is arranged at least partially or in regions upstream of the at least one air flow blocking element or of the two blocking elements.According to preferred implementations of the last-mentioned configurations of the air vent according to the invention, it is provided that a pivot radius, about which the air flow regulating element is pivotable relative to the air flow splitter, corresponds at least substantially to a pivot radius, about which the at least one air flow blocking element or the blocking elements are pivotable relative to the air flow splitter. In order to manipulate the components that can be moved relative to the air flow splitter, the air vent according to the invention has a first kinematic mechanism, which is preferably assigned to the air flow regulating element and is designed to adjust the air flow regulating element as required. In addition, the air vent according to the invention preferably comprises a second kinematic system assigned to the at least one air flow blocking element for adjusting the at least one air flow blocking element or at least one blocking element of the air flow blocking element as required. In the following, an exemplary embodiment of the air vent according to the invention is described in more detail with reference to the attached drawings. The following are shown: FIG. 1 schematically and in a sectional view, at least one region of an exemplary embodiment of the air vent according to the invention, specifically in a state in which both the air flow regulating element and the blocking elements of the at least one air flow blocking element are in their neutral position; FIG. 2 shows schematically and in a sectional view the exemplary embodiment of the air vent according to the invention according to FIG. 1, namely in a state in which the air flow regulating element is pivoted out of the neutral position according to FIG. 1 into a position in which an air supply to the first air duct of the air vent is completely blocked by the air flow regulating element; FIG. 3 shows schematically and in a sectional view the exemplary embodiment of the air vent according to the invention according to FIG. 1, namely in a state in which the air flow regulating element is pivoted out of the neutral position according to FIG. 1 into a position in which an air supply to the second air duct of the air vent is completely blocked by the air flow regulating element; FIG. 4 shows schematically and in a sectional view the region of the exemplary embodiment of the air vent according to the invention, namely in a state in which the air flow regulating element is present in its neutral position, while on the other hand the air flow blocking element is present in a position in which both the first air duct and the second air duct are at least substantially blocked in terms of flow; FIG. 5 schematically illustrates a first exemplary embodiment of a kinematic mechanism associated with the airflow blocking elements; and FIG. 6 schematically illustrates a second exemplary embodiment of a kinematic mechanism associated with the airflow blocking elements. The exemplary embodiment of the air vent 1 according to the invention shown schematically and in sections in the drawings is embodied as a two-channel air vent.In short, the air outlet 1 has an at least substantially rectilinear housing 2 with an air inlet region 3 and an opposite air outlet region 4. "at least substantially rectilinear" means in this context that the opposite side walls of the housing 2 of the air outlet 1 run at least substantially parallel to one another. It can also be seen that an air flow splitter 5 is accommodated in the housing 2 of the air outlet 1, so that an air duct delimited or defined by the housing 2 is divided at least in regions or sections into a first air duct 6 and a second air duct 7 separated therefrom. For dividing the air flow flowing per unit time as required overall through the air duct delimited or defined by the housing 2 into a first air flow portion flowing through the first air duct 6 and into a second air flow portion flowing through the second air duct 7, the air outlet 1 has an air flow regulating element 8, which, starting from the neutral position shown in FIG. 1, in which the air flow regulating element 8 is at least partially or partially and preferably completely aligned with the air flow splitter 5, as seen in the main flow direction L of the air flow flowing through the air outlet 1, is pivotable relative to the air flow splitter 5, such that an air supply to the first air duct 6 (cf. FIG. 2 ) or to the second air duct 7 (cf. FIG. 3 ) is blocked at least partially or partially.FIGS. 2 and 3 each show a state in which the first air duct 6 (cf. FIG. 2 ) or the second air duct 7 (cf. FIG. 3 ) is completely blocked with the aid of the air flow regulating element 8.The air flow regulating element 8 is arranged upstream of the air flow splitter 5 and is mounted pivotably about a pivot axis 9 relative to the air flow splitter 5. The pivot axis 9 extends perpendicular to the main flow direction L of the air flow flowing through the air outlet 1, namely in a region in which the air duct is already divided into the first air duct 6 and into the second air duct 7 by the air flow divider 5. In the embodiment of the air outlet 1 according to the invention shown in the drawings, the pivot axis 9 runs through the air flow splitter 5.It can also be seen in the drawings that the air flow regulating element 8 can be pivoted on a circular segment-shaped path relative to the air flow splitter 5. The air flow regulating element 8 has a cross-sectional geometry adapted to the circular segment-shaped path.It can be seen from the pivoted-out states in FIGS. 2 and 3 that the air flow regulating element 8 is mounted pivotably relative to the air flow splitter 5 in such a way that, even in a pivoted state of the air flow regulating element 8, the air flow regulating element 8 does not project into the first or into the second air duct 6, 7.The exemplary embodiment of the air vent 1 according to the invention shown in the drawings is further characterized in that it has at least one air flow blocking element 10, 11. In the exemplary embodiment of the air vent 1 according to the invention shown in the drawings, the at least one air flow blocking element 10, 11 comprises a first blocking element 10 and a second blocking element 11.The two blocking elements 10, 11 serve for blocking, as required, both an air flow flowing through the first air duct 6 and an air flow of the air outlet 1 flowing through the second air duct 7. Starting from a neutral position (cf. FIG. 1 ) in which the two air flow blocking elements 10, 11 are at least partially and / or regionally and preferably completely aligned with the air flow splitter 5, these are pivotable relative to the air flow splitter 5, so that simultaneously both the first air duct 6 and the second air duct 7 can be blocked at least substantially in terms of flow. In this connection, reference is made to the illustration in FIG. 4.The air flow blocking elements 10, 11 can be pivoted relative to the air flow splitter 5 on a circular segment-shaped path. It is also provided that each air flow blocking element 10, 11 has a cross-sectional geometry adapted to the circular segment-shaped path or corresponding to the circular segment-shaped path.In the pivoted state of the air flow blocking elements 10, 11, these elements project at least partially or in regions into the first or second air duct 6, 7.Preferably, it is provided that the first blocking element 10 is operatively coupled or operatively connected to the second blocking element 11 in such a way that, when the first blocking element 10 is pivoted relative to the air flow splitter 5 out of the neutral position (cf. FIG. 1 ) into a position (cf. FIG. 4 ) which at least substantially blocks the flow of the first air duct 6, the second blocking element 11 is also pivoted relative to the air flow splitter 5 out of the neutral position into a position which at least substantially blocks the flow of the second air duct 7.It is further indicated in the drawings that the two blocking elements 10, 11 each have a stop 13 which is designed to prevent the first blocking element 10 from being pivotable into the second air duct 7 and the second blocking element 11 from being pivotable into the first air duct 6.In the neutral position shown in FIG. 1, the first and second blocking elements 10, 11 are arranged coaxially with respect to one another. The same also applies to the air flow regulating element 8 when this and the blocking elements 10, 11 are each in their neutral position, as shown in FIG. 1.The air flow regulating element 8 is arranged at least partially or in regions upstream of the two blocking elements 10, 11.In particular, in the exemplary embodiment shown in the drawings, it is provided that a pivot radius, about which the air flow regulating element 8 is pivotable relative to the air flow splitter 5, corresponds at least substantially to a pivot radius, about which the two blocking elements 10, 11 are pivotable relative to the air flow splitter 5.FIG. 5 shows a kinematic mechanism 14 which is designed to actuate the air flow blocking elements 10, 11 as required. This is preferably done via a gear drive.FIG. 6 shows an example of an alternative kinematic mechanism 14 for controlling the air flow blocking elements 10, 11.The invention is not limited to the exemplary embodiment of the air vent 1 according to the invention shown in the drawings, but rather results from a combination of all features disclosed herein. In particular, it is conceivable for horizontal slats to be arranged, for example, downstream (or optionally also upstream) of the air flow splitter 5 in order to deflect the air flow L flowing out of the air outlet 1 in the vertical direction. It is also conceivable in principle for a web-shaped element to be used as the air flow splitter 5.It can be seen from the drawings that in the air outlet 1 according to the invention it is provided that at least in the region in which the air duct 6, 7 defined or bounded by the housing 2 is divided into the first and second air ducts 6, 7, the housing 2 is formed by wall regions running at least substantially in a straight line. In other words, at least in this region, the housing wall is not curved. It can be provided that the housing 2 is also formed by wall regions running at least substantially in a straight line, at least in the air outlet region 4 of the housing 2.Although not shown in the drawings, it is in principle conceivable for the inner surface region of the housing 2 to have at least one web region which, at the air outlet region 4 of the housing 2, protrudes at least in regions perpendicularly or obliquely from the inner surface region of the housing 2 and protrudes at least in regions into an air outlet opening of the air vent 1. It is thereby expedient that the inner surface region of the housing 2 has the named web region which protrudes at the air outlet region 4 of the housing 2 at least in regions into an air outlet opening of the air vent 1.In particular, the web region projecting at least in regions into the air outlet opening of the air outlet 1 serves as a type of "spoiler" and serves in particular to positively influence the deflection angle of the air flowing out of the air outlet 1 when, for example, a vertical deflection of the air flow is effected with the aid of the air flow regulating element 8. In other words, the at least one web region actively supports a deflection of the air flow effected, for example, by means of the air flow regulating element 8.Although not shown in the drawings, it is conceivable in principle that a drive, which is preferably electromotively or manually operable, is assigned to the air vent 1 for adjusting the air flow regulating element 8 and / or the air flow blocking elements 10, 11 as required. It is also conceivable that further adjustable air guiding elements and / or air guiding slats are provided in the first air channel 6, 7 and / or in the second air channel 6, 7.List of reference characters1 Air outlet 2 Housing 3 Air inlet region 4 Air outlet region 5 Air flow splitter 6 First air duct 7 Second air duct 8 Air flow regulating element 9 Pivot axis of the air flow regulating element 10 Air flow blocking element 11 Air flow blocking element 12 Pivot axis of the air flow blocking elements 13 Stop / sealing element 14 Kinematics for adjusting the air flow blocking elements L Air flow H Main flow directionReferences included in the specificationThis list of documents cited by the applicant has been produced in an automated manner and is only included for the better information of the reader.
