Abstract
Description
[0001] The invention relates to a vehicle tire.
[0002] Vehicle tires consist of a multitude of tire components. These include a tire carcass, sidewalls, tread, tire belt, and a variety of other components. All tire components serve a specific function within the vehicle tire, ensuring that it has the appropriate stability and, for example, a specified material strength. Furthermore, it is important that the vehicle tire is as lightweight as possible to minimize rolling resistance.
[0003] The object of the invention was to provide an improved vehicle tire.
[0004] In particular, the vehicle tire should exhibit the highest possible efficiency. Efficiency primarily describes the power flow through the tire when the wheels are driven. Efficiency describes the ratio of the power delivered by the tire to the road to the power transferred from the rim to the tire.
[0005] The object is achieved according to the preamble and the characterizing features of claim 1 in that the vehicle tire has an angled carcass and the tire carcass is designed as a C-layer construction, where the outer carcass ply ends between the inner carcass ply and below the tire belt, wherein reinforcement members of the tire carcass have a carcass angle in the range of 70 to 90 degrees, wherein the strength members of the belt layer are arranged at a belt angle between 16 and 24 degrees.
[0006] One advantage of the invention is that the new tire construction allows the vehicle tire to achieve a higher level of efficiency.
[0007] The individual features of claim 1 have a synergistic effect and ensure that the vehicle tire has a very high material stiffness.
[0008] This significantly increases the efficiency of the vehicle tire.
[0009] In an advantageous development of the invention, it is provided that the core filler has a height dimension of 15 to 80 mm, preferably 30 to 50 mm.
[0010] This increases the material stiffness of the vehicle tire.
[0011] In a further advantageous development of the invention, it is provided that the carcass angle of the reinforcement members of the angle carcass is between 82 and 72 degrees, preferably 75 degrees.
[0012] This carcass angle gives the tire carcass a particularly high material stiffness.
[0013] In a further advantageous development of the invention, it is provided that the belt angle of the strength members of the belt layers is between 18 and 24 degrees, preferably 20 degrees.
[0014] This increases the material stiffness of the vehicle tire.
[0015] In a further advantageous development of the invention, it is provided that the vehicle tire is a vehicle tire for vehicles with an electric drive.
[0016] In a further advantageous development of the invention, it is provided that the vehicle tire has a stiffness in the tangential direction that is 1.5 to 2 times higher than that of a conventional standard tire.
[0017] A standard tire is a vehicle tire with a conventional radial carcass with a carcass angle of approximately 90 degrees.
[0018] The higher stiffness values were proven by tests.
[0019] In a further advantageous development of the invention, it is provided that the vehicle tire has a stiffness in the radial direction that is 1.1 to 1.3 times higher than that of a conventional standard tire.
[0020] In a further advantageous development of the invention, it is provided that the vehicle tire has a lateral stiffness that is 1.2 to 1.5 times higher than that of a conventional standard tire.
[0021] In an advantageous development of the invention, it is provided that the reinforcements of the tire carcass or the tire belt are made of steel, nylon, PET material or aramid.
[0022] These materials for the reinforcements enable a high level of material rigidity to be achieved for the vehicle tire.
[0023] The invention is described in more detail below using exemplary embodiments.
[0024] They show: Fig. 1: A tire construction in a radial section view. Fig. 2: A top view of the alignment of the tire carcass reinforcements. Fig. 3: The angled carcass.
[0025] The Fig. Figure 1 shows an exemplary embodiment of the novel tire construction. The vehicle tire comprises a tire carcass 2, which is designed as an angled carcass with a C-ply construction.
[0026] The outer end 10 of the carcass ply ends between the inner carcass ply and the tire belt 5.
[0027] In this design, the tire belt 5 comprises 2 belt layers.
[0028] The vehicle tire also has two sidewalls and two tire beads with a tire core 7 and an apex 3.
[0029] The height of the apex 3, measured between the top of the tire core 7 and the tip of the apex 3, is approximately 15 to 60 mm.
[0030] Fig. Figure 2 shows a schematic representation of the structure of the reinforcement members of the carcass ply 4 of the angled carcass in a top view. The carcass angle 9 lies in a range between 70 and 90 degrees with respect to the circumferential direction 8 of the vehicle tire.
[0031] The figure also shows two superimposed belt layers 6 with the orientation of the reinforcements that define the belt angle. The belt angle refers to the orientation of the reinforcements relative to the circumferential direction 8 of the vehicle tire.
[0032] The Fig. 3 shows a three-dimensional view of the tire carcass, which is designed in the form of an angle carcass.
[0033] The reinforcements of the inner carcass ply intersect with those of the outer carcass ply.
[0034] This crossing of the strength members achieves a high material stiffness.
