Abstract
Description
Technical area
[0001] The application relates to the field of home furniture, in particular to a coupling mechanism and a piece of seating furniture. State of the art
[0002] With the development of the home furnishing industry, increasingly stringent functional requirements are being placed on seating furniture. In current functionally adjustable sofas, the synchronous extension and retraction of the sofa's backrest and leg rest cannot be achieved using a single drive source. Only one of the backrest and leg rest can be driven first, and then the other, making synchronous extension and retraction impossible. If the synchronous extension and retraction of the sofa's backrest and leg rest is to be achieved, a drive source must be assigned to each of the backrest and leg rest. Two drive sources are controlled by a switch to enable synchronous extension and retraction of the backrest and leg rest. This requires an additional drive source and increases the cost of the sofa. Contents of the invention
[0003] In order to solve the above technical problems, a coupling mechanism and a seating furniture are provided in which the leg rest and the backrest support are driven synchronously by a single drive source, extend and retract synchronously, so that the structure is not complicated and the cost of the product is reduced.
[0004] In the first aspect, a coupling mechanism is provided comprising a seat frame, a leg rest and a backrest support, whereby the coupling mechanism continues a carriage slidably connected to the seat frame; a backrest linkage assembly connected to the backrest bracket, the seat frame, and the carriage to couple the backrest bracket to the carriage for movement relative to the seat frame; a leg rest linkage mechanism connected to the carriage and the leg rest to allow the leg rest to move toward or away from the carriage; a coupling assembly rotatably connected to the carriage, two ends of the coupling assembly being pivotally connected to the seat frame and the leg rest linkage mechanism, respectively; a drive assembly connected to the carriage for driving the leg rest and the backrest support so that the leg rest and the backrest support move relative to the seat frame; includes, During operation of the drive arrangement, the carriage moves relative to the seat frame and the leg rest and the backrest support move and rotate relative to the seat frame.
[0005] Thanks to the above-mentioned technical solution, the slider and the coupling assembly connect the leg rest linkage mechanism and the backrest linkage assembly. The leg rest linkage mechanism is connected to the leg rest, and the backrest linkage assembly is connected to the backrest support, allowing the leg rest and backrest support to be driven by a single power source, retracting and extending synchronously, thus achieving smooth posture adjustment and changing the staccato feel of traditional sofa adjustment.
[0006] In connection with the first aspect, a further development provides that the drive arrangement is arranged between the carriage and the seat frame, wherein the drive arrangement is designed to drive the carriage so that the carriage can move relative to the seat frame, wherein the carriage, when moving via the linkage mechanism for the leg rest, the coupling arrangement and the linkage arrangement for the backrest, takes the leg rest and the backrest holder with it, so that the leg rest and the backrest holder move and rotate relative to the seat frame.
[0007] Due to the aforementioned technical solution, the drive assembly is located between the carriage and the seat frame. The carriage is driven to move relative to the seat frame, allowing the leg rest linkage mechanism, the coupling assembly, and the backrest linkage assembly to move synchronously, allowing the leg rest and backrest support to retract and extend in unison.
[0008] In connection with the first aspect, a further development provides that the drive arrangement is arranged between the carriage and the linkage mechanism for the leg rest, wherein the drive arrangement is designed to drive the linkage mechanism for the leg rest so that the linkage mechanism for the leg rest rotates relative to the carriage, wherein the linkage mechanism for the leg rest, when rotating, entrains the carriage as well as the leg rest and the backrest holder via the coupling arrangement and the linkage arrangement for the backrest so that the carriage moves relative to the seat frame and the leg rest and the backrest holder move and rotate relative to the seat frame.
[0009] Due to the aforementioned technical solution, the drive assembly is located between the carriage and the legrest linkage mechanism. The legrest linkage mechanism is driven to move, which in turn drives the coupling assembly to move, and the coupling assembly in turn drives the carriage to move relative to the seat frame, and the backrest linkage assembly to rotate, allowing the legrest and backrest support to extend and retract in a synchronized manner.
[0010] In connection with the first aspect, a further development provides that the linkage arrangement for the backrest comprises a first linkage for the backrest, a second linkage for the backrest and a third linkage for the backrest, wherein two ends of the first linkage for the backrest are each pivotally connected to the backrest holder or the seat frame, wherein two ends of the second linkage for the backrest are also each pivotally connected to the backrest holder or the seat frame, wherein two ends of the third linkage for the backrest are each pivotally connected to the second linkage for the backrest or the slide, wherein the first linkage for the backrest, the backrest holder, the second linkage for the backrest and the seat frame are pivotally connected to one another to form a planar four-bar linkage.
[0011] Thanks to the aforementioned technical solution, the second backrest rod is connected to the slide by the third backrest rod. The first backrest rod, the backrest support, the second backrest rod, and the seat frame are connected to each other in a double-linkage joint of a planar four-bar linkage, allowing the backrest support and slide to move and rotate synchronously.
[0012] In connection with the first aspect, a further development provides that the coupling arrangement comprises a first coupling rod, a second coupling rod and a third coupling rod, wherein the second coupling rod is pivotally connected to the carriage and two ends of the second coupling rod are each pivotally connected to the first coupling rod and the third coupling rod, respectively, wherein an end of the first coupling rod remote from the second coupling rod is pivotally connected to the linkage arrangement for the backrest, and wherein an end of the third coupling rod remote from the second coupling rod is pivotally connected to the linkage mechanism for the leg rest.
[0013] Thanks to the aforementioned technical solution, the articulated connection of the second coupling rod to the carriage allows the second coupling rod to rotate relative to the carriage while moving with it. The second coupling rod drives the linkage assembly for the backrest through the first coupling rod and the linkage mechanism for the leg rest through the third coupling rod, allowing the leg rest and the backrest support to extend and retract in a synchronized manner.
[0014] In connection with the first aspect, a further development provides that the leg rest linkage mechanism comprises a leg rest linkage arrangement, a support and a connecting rod, wherein two ends of the leg rest linkage arrangement are each pivotally connected to the carriage or the support, wherein the leg rest is pivotally connected to the leg rest linkage arrangement, and wherein two ends of the connecting rod are each pivotally connected to the support or the leg rest.
[0015] Thanks to the above-mentioned technical solution, the leg rest linkage assembly can entrain the leg rest, allowing the leg rest to move synchronously. The support and connecting rod drive the leg rest to rotate relative to the leg rest linkage assembly as it moves along with the leg rest linkage assembly. This allows the leg rest to move toward or away from the carriage while rotating relative to the leg rest linkage assembly, providing better support for the user's legs.
[0016] In connection with the first aspect, a further development provides that the leg rest rod assembly comprises a first leg rest rod, a second leg rest rod, a third leg rest rod, and a fourth leg rest rod, wherein a first end of the first leg rest rod is pivotally connected to the carriage, while a second end of the first leg rest rod is pivotally connected to the second leg rest rod, wherein an end of the second leg rest rod remote from the first leg rest rod is pivotally connected to one end of the leg rest, wherein one end of the third leg rest rod is pivotally connected to the carriage, while another end of the third leg rest rod is pivotally connected to the fourth leg rest rod, wherein an end of the fourth leg rest rod remote from the third leg rest rod is pivotally connected to the support, and the fourth leg rest rod is pivotally connected at its center to a center of the first leg rest rod.
[0017] Due to the above-mentioned technical solution, the connecting structure of the first leg rest rod, the second leg rest rod, the third leg rest rod and the fourth leg rest rod allows the leg rest to rotate relative to the carriage even when the leg rest moves towards or away from the carriage, thereby allowing the leg rest to move away from or towards the carriage and be stowed underneath.
[0018] In connection with the first aspect, a further development provides that the support is also pivotally connected to the second leg rest linkage at a pivot point, wherein the pivot point is located near the pivot point between the leg rest and the second leg rest linkage, wherein a pivot point between the connecting rod and the leg rest is located near the pivot point between the leg rest and the second leg rest linkage, and wherein the support, the connecting rod, the leg rest and the second leg rest linkage are pivotally connected to one another to form a planar quadrilateral linkage.
[0019] Due to the above-mentioned technical solution, the support is pivotally connected to the second leg rest rod and the fourth leg rest rod, respectively, allowing the support to rotate relative to the leg rest rod assembly as it moves with the leg rest rod assembly, thereby supporting the leg rest to support the user's legs. The pivot point between the support and the second leg rest rod is close to the pivot point between the leg rest and the second leg rest rod. The pivot point between the connecting rod and the leg rest is close to the pivot point between the leg rest and the second leg rest rod.The support, the connecting rod, the leg rest and the second leg rest linkage are articulated together to form a planar quadrilateral linkage, whereby, in a state in which the leg rest linkage assembly is fully extended, the support surfaces of the leg rest and the support can lie substantially in one plane to support the user's legs in a planar manner and increase the comfort of the leg rest.
[0020] In connection with the first aspect, a further development provides that the drive arrangement comprises a drive and a drive rod, wherein the drive comprises a fixed end and a drive end, wherein one of the fixed end and the drive end is connected to the carriage, while another of the fixed end and the drive end is eccentrically connected to the drive rod in an articulated manner, and wherein the drive rod is fixedly connected to the linkage mechanism for the leg rest.
[0021] Thanks to the aforementioned technical solution, the drive end of the actuator can move telescopically relative to the fixed end, allowing the leg rest linkage mechanism to move along with it. The actuator drives the drive rod eccentrically, allowing the drive rod to rotate. The leg rest linkage mechanism moves in response to the rotation of the drive rod, allowing the leg rest and backrest support to extend and retract in synchronization.
[0022] In the second aspect, a piece of seating furniture is provided which comprises a coupling mechanism according to the first aspect.
[0023] Due to the above-mentioned technical solution, the synchronized movement and rotation of the leg rest and the backrest support is possible with a single drive source, which leads to simple assembly and low costs and can also reduce the space requirement and weight of the entire seating furniture.
[0024] In summary, at least one of the following advantageous technical effects is achieved: 1. The coupling mechanism according to the invention changes the conventional structure of multiple drive sources used for the synchronized extension and retraction of the leg rest and the backrest support. The synchronized extension and retraction of the leg rest and the backrest support is achieved by a single drive source, thus resulting in a product with a simple structure that occupies little space and is relatively lightweight. 2. In the seating furniture according to the invention, the synchronized movement and rotation of the leg rest and the backrest support are achieved via a single drive source. This simplifies the driver program and assembly, reduces costs, and reduces the space required and weight of the entire seating furniture. [0028] The coupling mechanism of conventional seating comprises two drives. These two drives drive the backrest linkage assembly and the legrest linkage mechanism, respectively, to move the backrest linkage assembly and the legrest linkage mechanism. Conventional seating is typically sofas or recliners. Adjusting different user positions requires two drive mechanisms and control systems. The structure is complex, the cost is high, and the adjustment is cumbersome. Example 1
[0029] Fig. 1 to Fig. 3 schematically show the structure of an embodiment of the coupling mechanism.
[0030] The coupling mechanism can assume a sitting position and a lying position. Fig. Figure 1 schematically shows the structure of the coupling mechanism in the sitting position. The coupling mechanism comprises a seat frame 1, a leg rest 8, a backrest support 7, a carriage 4, a backrest linkage assembly 2, a leg rest linkage mechanism 3, a coupling assembly 6, and a drive assembly. The carriage 4 is slidably connected to the seat frame 1. The backrest linkage assembly 2 is connected to the backrest support 7, the seat frame 1, and the carriage 4 to couple the backrest support 7 to the carriage 4, allowing it to move relative to the seat frame 1. The leg rest linkage mechanism 3 is connected to the carriage 4 and the leg rest 8 to move the leg rest 8 toward or away from the carriage 4. The coupling arrangement 6 is rotatably connected to the carriage 4, and two ends of the coupling arrangement 6 are each pivotally connected to the seat frame 1 and the linkage mechanism for leg rest 3.The drive assembly is connected to the carriage 4 to drive the leg rest 8 and the backrest support 7 to move relative to the seat frame 1. During operation of the drive assembly, the carriage 4 translates relative to the seat frame 1, and the leg rest 8 and the backrest support 7 move and rotate relative to the seat frame 1.
[0031] The drive assembly includes a drive 5. The drive 5 is arranged between the carriage 4 and the seat frame 1. The drive 5 is designed to drive the carriage 4 so that it moves relative to the seat frame 1. Depending on the requirements and functions of the product, the drive 5 can be designed as a linear motor, an electric push rod, or other pneumatic or hydraulic drive mechanism.
[0032] In the sitting position, the leg rest linkage mechanism 3 is located under the seat frame 1 and the carriage 4, while the backrest linkage assembly 2 is folded so that it is substantially perpendicular to the seat frame 1.
[0033] In relation to Fig. 2 and Fig. 3, the linkage arrangement for the backrest 2 comprises a first linkage for the backrest 21, a second linkage for the backrest 22, and a third linkage for the backrest 23. Two ends of the first linkage for the backrest 21 are each pivotally connected to the backrest bracket 7 and the seat frame 1, respectively, while two ends of the second linkage for the backrest 22 are also each pivotally connected to the backrest bracket 7 and the seat frame 1, respectively. Two ends of the third linkage for the backrest 23 are each pivotally connected to the second linkage for the backrest 22 and the slide 4, respectively. The first linkage for the backrest 21, the backrest bracket 7, the second linkage for the backrest 22, and the seat frame 1 are pivotally connected to one another to form a planar four-bar linkage. The articulation point between the third backrest rod 23 and the second backrest rod 22 is located in the middle of the second backrest rod 22 and close to the articulation point between the second backrest rod 22 and the backrest bracket 7.
[0034] The coupling assembly 6 includes a first coupling rod 61, a second coupling rod 62, and a third coupling rod 63. The second coupling rod 62 is pivotally connected to the carriage 4 at its center, with two ends of the second coupling rod 62 being pivotally connected to the first coupling rod 61 and the third coupling rod 63, respectively. The end of the first coupling rod 61 remote from the second coupling rod 62 is pivotally connected to the linkage assembly for the backrest 2. The end of the third coupling rod 63 remote from the second coupling rod 62 is pivotally connected to the third leg rest linkage 33 of the leg rest linkage mechanism 3, the pivot point of which is close to the pivot point between the third leg rest linkage 33 and the carriage 4.
[0035] The leg rest linkage mechanism 3 includes a leg rest linkage assembly, a support 35, and a connecting rod 36. The leg rest linkage assembly includes a first leg rest linkage 31, a second leg rest linkage 32, a third leg rest linkage 33, and a fourth leg rest linkage 34. One end of the first leg rest linkage 31 is pivotally connected to the carriage 4, while the other end of the first leg rest linkage is pivotally connected to the second leg rest linkage 32. The end of the second leg rest linkage 32 remote from the first leg rest linkage 31 is pivotally connected to one end of the leg rest 8. One end of the third leg rest rod 33 is pivotally connected to the carriage 4, while the other end of the third leg rest rod is pivotally connected to the fourth leg rest rod 34.The end of the fourth leg rest rod 34 remote from the third leg rest rod 33 is pivotally connected to the support 35. The center of the fourth leg rest rod 34 is pivotally connected to the center of the first leg rest rod 31. The support 35 is also pivotally connected to the second leg rest rod 32, the pivot point of which is close to the pivot point of the leg rest 8 with the second leg rest rod 32. The pivot point of the connecting rod 36 with the leg rest rod is close to the pivot point of the leg rest 8 with the second leg rest rod 32. The support 35, the connecting rod 36, the leg rest 8, and the second leg rest rod 32 are pivotally connected to one another to form a planar four-bar linkage.
[0036] During transitions between the sitting and lying positions, the drive 5 drives the carriage 4 to move relative to the seat frame 1. As the second coupling rod 62 moves through the carriage 4, the first coupling rod 61 pulls the second coupling rod 62 to rotate. The second coupling rod 62 pushes the third coupling rod 63 to move. The third coupling rod 63 pushes the leg rest linkage mechanism 3 upward and outward from its position below the seat frame 1 to rotate. As the leg rest linkage mechanism 3 moves, the support 35 is carried along by the third leg rest linkage 33 and the second leg rest linkage 32 to rotate. At the same time, the leg rest 8 rotates relative to the second leg rest linkage 32 under the joint action of the second leg rest linkage 32, the support 35 and the connecting rod.
[0037] Fig. Figure 2 schematically shows the structure of the coupling mechanism according to the invention in the reclining position. In the reclining position, the leg rest linkage mechanism 3 rotates relative to the carriage 4 to move forward and upward away from the carriage 4. The leg rest 8 rotates upward relative to the second leg rest linkage 32 until it lies approximately in the same plane with the support 35. The backrest linkage assembly 2 rotates relative to the seat frame 1, driving the carriage 4. The backrest mount 7 rotates from a state in which it is approximately perpendicular to the seat frame 1 to a state in which it is inclined at an angle to the seat frame 1. The drive assembly comprises a drive 5. In the present embodiment, the drive 5 is an electric push rod. Depending on design requirements, the electrical element can be a linear motor, a pneumatic drive 5, or a hydraulic drive 5.The drive 5 comprises a fixed end 51 and a drive end 52. The fixed end 51 is provided with a drive motor that can drive the drive end 52 such that it moves linearly relative to the fixed end 51. In the present embodiment, the fixed end 51 is connected to the seat frame 1, wherein the drive end 52 is rotatably, in particular pivotably, connected to the carriage 4. Depending on the structural requirements, the fixed end 51 can be fixedly connected to the seat frame 1 or pivotably connected to the seat frame 1. In the present embodiment, a pivot connection is used.
[0038] In relation to Fig. 3, there is an intermediate position between the sitting position and the lying position. In this state, the leg rest linkage mechanism 3 is rotated upward and forward relative to the seat frame 1 by a certain angle, but not fully extended, the leg rest 8 does not rotate relative to the second leg rest linkage 32, and the leg rest 8 and the second leg rest linkage 32 are in a folded state. When the backrest linkage assembly 2 is rotated by an angle relative to the seat frame 1, the backrest bracket 7 is also rotated by an angle relative to the seat frame 1 by the backrest linkage assembly 2. The first coupling rod 61, the second coupling rod 62, and the third coupling rod 63 of the coupling assembly 6 are pivotally connected to each other in a small Z-shape. Example 2
[0039] Fig. 4 to Fig. 6 exemplify the structure of the coupling mechanism according to the second embodiment of the application, which differs from the first embodiment in that the first coupling rod 61 is a long rod.
[0040] Fig. Figure 4 schematically shows the structure of the coupling mechanism according to the invention in the sitting position. In the sitting position, the linkage mechanism for the leg rest 3 is located under the seat frame 1 and the carriage 4. The linkage assembly for the backrest 2 is folded so that it is approximately perpendicular to the seat frame 1.
[0041] Fig. Figure 5 schematically shows the structure of the coupling mechanism of the application in the reclining position. In the reclining position, the leg rest linkage mechanism 3 is rotated relative to the carriage 4 to move forward and upward away from the carriage 4, and the leg rest 8 is rotated upward relative to the second leg rest linkage 32 so that it lies approximately in a plane with the support 35. The backrest linkage assembly 2 rotates relative to the seat frame 1 while driving the carriage 4, so that the backrest bracket 7 rotates from a state in which it is approximately perpendicular to the seat frame 1 to a state in which it is inclined at an angle to the seat frame 1.
[0042] In relation to Fig. 6, there is an intermediate position between the sitting position and the lying position. In this intermediate position, the leg rest linkage mechanism 3 is rotated upwards and forwards through an angle relative to the seat frame 1, but is not fully extended, with the leg rest 8 not yet rotated and in a folded state relative to the second leg rest linkage 32. When the backrest linkage assembly 2 is rotated through an angle relative to the seat frame 1, the backrest bracket 7 is also rotated through an angle relative to the seat frame 1, taking the backrest linkage assembly 2 with it. The first coupling rod 61, the second coupling rod 62, and the third coupling rod 63 of the coupling assembly 6 are pivotally connected to one another to form a large Z-shape.
[0043] In relation to Fig. 5 and Fig. 6, the leg rest linkage mechanism 3 also includes a first leg rest linkage 31, a second leg rest linkage 32, a third leg rest linkage 33, a fourth leg rest linkage 34, a support 35, and a connecting rod 36, as in the first embodiment. The structure and connection of the leg rest linkage mechanism 3, the leg rest 8, and the carriage 4 are also the same as in the first embodiment. The coupling assembly 6 also includes a first coupling rod 61, a second coupling rod 62, and a third coupling rod 63, the connecting structures also being approximately the same. The backrest linkage assembly 2 also includes a first backrest linkage 21, a second backrest linkage 22, and a third backrest linkage 23, wherein the structures and connection methods of the backrest linkage assembly 2, the backrest bracket 7, and the seat frame 1 are also the same. The drive 5 is also arranged between the seat frame 1 and the carriage 4.
[0044] Unlike the first embodiment, the first coupling rod 61 is designed as a long rod. When changing from the sitting position to the lying position, the rotation speed at which the linkage mechanism for the leg rest 3 rotates forward and upward from the position below the seat frame 1 can be different. Depending on the design requirements, different structural solutions for the first coupling rod 61 can be selected. Example 3
[0045] With reference to Fig. 7 to Fig. 9, the difference between the present embodiment and the first embodiment is that the drive 5 is arranged between the carriage 4 and the linkage mechanism for leg rest 3. The drive 5 is connected to the linkage mechanism for leg rest 3 via the drive rod 53. In the present embodiment, the drive rod 53 is fixedly connected to the first linkage for leg rest 31, wherein the drive end 52 of the drive 5 is eccentrically pivotally connected to the drive rod 53. The drive 5 moves the coupling arrangement 6 by driving the linkage mechanism for leg rest 3. Due to the movement of the coupling arrangement 6, the carriage 4 moves relative to the seat frame 1, thus rotating the linkage arrangement for backrest 2, so that the leg rest 8 and the backrest holder 7 can retract and extend in a synchronized manner.
[0046] Fig. Figure 7 shows schematically the structure of the coupling mechanism according to the invention in the sitting position. Fig. Figure 8 shows schematically the structure of the coupling mechanism according to the invention in the lying position. Fig. Figure 9 schematically shows the structure of the coupling mechanism according to the invention in the intermediate position. They are identical to those in the first embodiment and will not be described again. Example 4
