Abstract
Description
STATE OF THE ART
[0001] A ground screw is a ground anchor that, under suitable soil conditions, replaces a conventional concrete foundation. Suitable soil conditions generally exist when natural soil is found that is neither rocky nor predominantly sandy or stony. Such ground anchors are usually pile-shaped and are driven into the ground by hammering or screwing. The pile usually has elements supporting the drive and anchoring, particularly threads, which allow the anchor to be screwed into the ground.
[0002] DE 189 389 U describes a screw anchor. At its end furthest from the ground, the screw anchor has a transverse hole into which a rod can be inserted. The rod, then aligned approximately orthogonally to the screw anchor's longitudinal axis, serves as a lever tool, allowing the screw anchor to be manually screwed into the ground.
[0003] DE 295 03 115 U1 describes a ground anchor which has a screw head at its end remote from the ground, which can be driven by a drill.
[0004] For shallow anchoring depths, the ground anchor can be screwed in manually. If the soil is too compacted, manual force is often insufficient. In this case, a screw foundation with a rotary attachment that can be operated mechanically must be chosen.
[0005] On the other hand, when using mechanically driven ground screws, suitable machinery must always be available. If these cannot be controlled, this can negatively impact the anchoring quality. TASK
[0006] The present invention is based on the object of creating a screw foundation which can be handled both manually and mechanically.
[0007] This object is achieved by a screw foundation according to the proposed claim 1.
[0008] Further advantageous details and embodiments of the invention as well as further developments and variants are apparent from the dependent claims and the drawing explained below. ADVANTAGES OF THE INVENTION
[0009] According to the invention, a screw foundation is proposed with a pile-shaped base body which has at least one thread-like cutting element on its section penetrating into the ground and has at its free end a rotary engagement means for manual operation and a rotary engagement means for mechanical operation.
[0010] Preferably, the rotary engagement means for mechanical operation is an external hexagon. This allows the screw foundation according to the invention to be screwed into the ground using a standard electric screwdriver. However, the external hexagon can also be used manually with a hexagon wrench or hexagon socket.
[0011] A further preferred embodiment of the invention provides a transverse hole for manual operation, extending through the base body of the ground screw directly below the external hexagon. A split pin can be inserted into this transverse hole as an auxiliary tool for manually screwing the ground screw into the ground.
[0012] Further advantages and advantageous embodiments of the invention can be found in the following description, the drawings, and the claims. There are various possibilities for advantageously embodying and developing the teachings of the present invention. Reference is made, on the one hand, to the subordinate claims and, on the other hand, to the following explanation of an embodiment of the invention with reference to the drawings. EXAMPLE OF IMPLEMENTATION
[0013] In conjunction with the explanation of the preferred embodiment of the invention with reference to the drawing, generally preferred embodiments and further developments of the teaching are also explained.
[0014] The drawing shows: Fig. 1 a perspective view of the screw foundation, Fig. 2 a side view of the screw foundation, Fig. 3 a sectional view of the screw foundation, Fig. 4 the screw foundation compared to the illustration from Fig. 2 rotated 90° around its longitudinal axis, Fig. 5 the screw foundation according to Fig. 4 on average and Fig. 6 a top view of the screw foundation.
[0015] The Fig.1 to 6 show the screw foundation 1 according to the invention. This consists of a pile-shaped and circular-cylindrical base body 10 with a conical pile tip 11 on which cutting elements 20 are located.
[0016] The cutting element 20 is preferably designed as a thread so that when driven into the soil, in addition to cutting, it also performs a displacement function and the loosened soil is transported out of the borehole by the screwing and rotating movement.
[0017] At the end farthest from the pile tip 11 are two rotary engagement devices 30 and 40. The first rotary engagement device 30 is an external hexagon. This is used, in particular, for attaching an electric screwdriver with a corresponding socket, allowing the ground screw to be screwed into the ground mechanically. However, the external hexagon can also serve as a rotary engagement device for a hand tool, e.g., a ratchet with a socket or an open-end wrench.
[0018] Directly below the first rotary engagement means 30 is the second rotary engagement means 40, which is intended for manual operation. This is a transverse hole extending orthogonally to the longitudinal axis 5 of the ground screw 1 and completely penetrating the base body 10, creating an inlet opening 42 and an outlet opening 43. A correspondingly long split pin is inserted as an auxiliary tool in such a way that a relatively large lever arm is available on one or both sides of the base body 10, in order to minimize the amount of muscle force required for screwing in the screw.
