Description

Title of the invention: Textile article for earthing with infrared ray return

[0001] The present invention relates to a textile article configured to be grounded. It may in particular be a bed mat, mattress topper, pillow, duvet, seat for an office or car seat, a blanket for equines or even a garment such as a T-shirt, a sweater, a jacket, a down jacket, pants, socks, or even an insole.

[0002] The surface of the Earth is negatively charged and constantly carries electrons. Thus, when the human body "connects" to the Earth by being barefoot, the free electrons on the surface of the Earth are transferred to the body.

[0003] From a metabolic point of view, free radicals, cellular waste and bodily oxidations are positively charged and need to have electron supplies to be eliminated. Indeed, inflammations, free radicals, but also fractures, tears, aches and pains develop in a positively charged acidic environment.

[0004] This is why connecting to the earth through bare feet (or possibly covered in leather) naturally provides necessary antioxidant electrons. The Earth being a "huge" capacitor, it allows to absorb and regulate the flow of electrons in the body in order to reduce oxidative stasis and trap free radicals, the main sources of acute and chronic inflammation. Thus, electron deficiencies and excess free radicals and acidity in the body are partly corrected.

[0005] By coming into direct contact with the earth, we allow our body to exchange electrons. This phenomenon, known as "earthing" and "grounding," thus provides beneficial effects on human health. In this regard, several scientific studies detail these beneficial effects. These include a reduction in inflammation, an increase in endurance, stress regulation, regulation of blood circulation, and improved sleep.

[0006] However, over the past few decades, with the advent of plastic soles, wooden or laminated coverings, tar and other insulating coverings, this direct contact with the earth, allowing our body to exchange electrons, has been broken, and consequently its health benefits. In addition, we keep positive charges on the body which end up creating static electricity effects between our clothes.

[0007] In summary, the Earth provides electrical nutrition from the soil beneath our feet to maintain natural order in the body's bioelectric circuits. In addition, the daily rhythm of the chemical and hormonal cycle in the human body is partly regulated and maintained by weak electromagnetic signals generated by the Earth's electrons. The human body is extremely receptive to these signals, which establish the rhythm of day-night functions or circadian rhythms. We have a real need for the Earth's electrons for our well-being. They are fundamental to health, and their deficiency can cause health problems.

[0008] Furthermore, the last 100 years have seen the widespread emergence of electricity, radio waves, radar, microwaves, wireless internet access, and telephony. We are constantly surrounded and "bombarded" by electromagnetic waves of different frequencies that scientists now call "electromagnetic fog." By following the laws of wave physics, we can determine the impact of each type of magnetic or electrical wave on human cells. All these waves tend to disrupt cellular exchanges and promote inflammatory and oxidative processes and free radicals. This electromagnetic fog generates a chronic inflammatory environment that is the cause of diseases, musculoskeletal disorders, lack of attention and chronic fatigue. So we also have an increased need for electrons to trap all the many toxins created by this electromagnetic fog.

[0009] This is why finding the best possible connection to earth has become necessary to trap all the oxidation phenomena caused, in particular by the electric and magnetic waves in our environment. This is all the more true for people working in offices in front of computers. In this respect, European standards regarding electricity induced in the human body recommend not exceeding 3 to 5 V / m. However, it is common for us to measure rates ranging from 5 to 80 V / m in offices in front of a computer connected to the mains.

[0010] There are grounding devices. These may be carpets, sheets, seat cushions for office or car seats which, on the one hand, are configured to be grounded and, on the other hand, comprise a conductive textile part (for example, based on carbon fibers or silver-coated nylon fibers). As soon as the device is grounded and a part of the body is in direct contact with the conductive textile part, a connection to the ground is established; which allows the exchange of electrons with the body explained above, as well as the health benefits also detailed above. In this regard, application US 2008 / 0068773 A1 and patent US 6,683,779 B2 describe examples of grounding devices.

[0011] Furthermore, in recent decades, an increasing number of research studies have focused on the use of infrared radiation (hereinafter abbreviated as "IR") for health benefits. IR is a non-ionizing electromagnetic radiation with a wavelength between approximately 750 nm and 1 mm. IR rays originate from thermal energy. Thus, material bodies that emit heat can produce them. Therefore, the human body is an emitter of IR radiation.

[0012] From a biological point of view, IR rays can affect living tissues from the cellular to the systemic level. At the molecular level, IR rays affect the turnover of molecules contained in body fluids and tissues. The potential clinical and physiological effect depends on the composition of the tissue and the proportion of biomolecules contained in body fluids. At the cellular level, the interaction between IR rays and living tissues is summarized by heat-induced alterations of cell membrane potentials, through an increase in intracellular Ca2+ levels. At the tissue level, an increase in the levels of nitric oxide, an endogenous antioxidant substance counteracting the production of reactive oxygen species, is associated with the reduction of oxidative stress and vasodilation. At the same time, it stimulates the production of growth factors and the deposition of extracellular matrix, which promotes tissue repair. In this sense, the improved blood circulation associated with IR rays can promote the healing of wounds and pressure sores, decrease muscle spasms and improve sensory nerve conduction velocity, and potentially increase endorphins that modulate pain.

[0013] The many potential actions of IR radiation have been the subject of various studies. In summary, the health benefits of IR rays are as follows: - improved blood circulation: IR rays increase blood flow and circulation, which helps improve overall health and well-being; - Pain relief: IR rays are effective in reducing pain and discomfort in various conditions, such as muscle pain and arthritis; - reduced inflammation: IR rays have anti-inflammatory properties, which helps reduce swelling and inflammation in the body; - strengthening the immune system: IR rays help to strengthen the immune system; which helps to protect against diseases; - improved cardiovascular health: IR rays help improve heart health by reducing blood pressure, lowering cholesterol levels and reducing the risk of heart disease; - weight loss aid: IR rays promote weight loss by increasing the body's metabolic rate and burning calories; - improved sleep.

[0014] There are devices (for example carpets or bed mats) which comprise on the one hand elements for grounding the human body and on the other hand elements configured to reflect IR rays emitted by the human body. Such devices thus combine both the beneficial effects on health of grounding and those provided by the reflection of IR rays which have been detailed above.

[0015] In this regard, application KR10-2019-0119256 A describes an example of such a device which is in the form of a mat comprising a stack of layers of different materials including: - a ceramic layer for the emission of IR rays, - a layer made of a conductive material and which is connected by a conductive connection wire to the ground.

[0016] The mat that is the subject of an exemplary embodiment of this Korean patent application comprises 9 layers of different materials. The structure of this mat configured to be grounded is particularly complex and therefore required the assembly of 9 separate layers; which makes its manufacturing process complicated, expensive, requiring many different materials and thus unattractive.

[0017] The inventor of the present invention sought to overcome these drawbacks with respect to the complex structure of the grounded mat which is the subject of the aforementioned Korean patent application and developed a textile article configured to be grounded which has the following advantages: - a simple, lightweight, perfectly reliable and healthy structure; - a very easy, inexpensive manufacturing process requiring a minimum of materials.

[0018] The invention thus has as its first object a textile article configured to be earthed which comprises at least: - a layer of a textile material having a 1st face and a 2nd face, - a system for grounding the textile article, said textile article is characterized in that: - the first face of the layer of textile material is totally or partially covered with a first deposit comprising at least one polymer and particles of at least one conductive material, said first deposit optionally being in contact with the earthing system or said layer of textile material comprises at least one wire made of a conductive material, said wire optionally being in contact with the earthing system, - the 2nd face of the layer of textile material is totally or partly covered with a 2nd deposit comprising at least one polymer and metal oxides.

[0019] Thus, the textile article according to the invention can comprise two embodiments.

[0020] In the 1st embodiment, the textile article is configured to be grounded and comprises at least: - a layer of a textile material having a 1st face and a 2nd face, - a system for grounding the textile article, said textile article is characterized in that: - the first face of the layer of textile material is totally or partially covered with a first deposit comprising at least one polymer and particles of at least one conductive material, said first deposit optionally being in contact with the earthing system, - the 2nd face of the layer of textile material is totally or partially covered with a 2nd deposit comprising at least one polymer and metal oxides.

[0021] Because the 1st deposit comprises particles of at least one conductive material, this 1st deposit allows the passage of electrons continuously over the textile article according to the invention when the latter is grounded (in other words connected to the earth) with the grounding system. This makes it possible to reproduce the natural phenomenon of electrostatic discharge.

[0022] Because the 2nd deposit comprises metal oxides, this 2nd deposit allows the reflection of IR rays emitted by the human body, preferably at more than 90% in order to obtain the health benefits mentioned above (namely in particular the increase in microcirculation during the night, promoting relaxation, oxygenation of tissues and the elimination of waste).

[0023] In the 2nd embodiment, the textile article is configured to be grounded and comprises at least: - a layer of a textile material having a 1st face and a 2nd face, - a system for grounding the textile article, said textile article is characterized in that: - said layer of textile material comprises at least one wire made of a conductive material, said wire optionally being in contact with the earthing system, - the 2nd face of the layer of textile material is totally or partly covered with a 2nd deposit comprising at least one polymer and metal oxides.

[0024] The yarn made of a conductive material may be a carbon yarn. Advantageously, said yarn made of a conductive material is woven into the layer of textile material. At least a portion of the yarn made of a conductive material is present on the first face of the layer of textile material.

[0025] Thus, when the textile article according to the invention is earthed, it is sufficient for a part of the body to be in contact with the 1st deposit or with the wire made of a conductive material (preferably a carbon wire) to receive all the benefits of said textile article. More precisely, thanks to the 1st deposit or the thread made of conductive material, the electrons rise and travel along the surface of the body. At the same time, thanks to the 2nd deposit, the return of IR rays stimulates the microcirculation of the muscles and organs. In addition, due to this 2nd deposit, the electrons penetrate much deeper under the dermis in order to reach directly the heart of the oxidation zones.

[0026] The beneficial effects on health with the textile article according to the invention are in particular the following: - an improvement in blood oxygenation, - calms digestive disorders and bloating, - regulation of the hormonal cycle, - a reduction in osteoporosis and an improvement in calcium metabolism, - a reduction in joint inflammation and a reduction in pain associated with arthritis, - a balance of the ortho-parasympathetic system, a reduction of stress and an improvement in sleep, - a calming of arrhythmias and a reduction in blood pressure, - an improvement in the immune response and an acceleration of healing, - a reduction in the effects of oxidative stress (free radicals), - prevention and reduction of chronic inflammation.

[0027] Preferably, the first face of the layer of textile material is completely covered with the first deposit.

[0028] Preferably, the 2nd face of the layer of textile material is completely covered with the 2nd deposit.

[0029] The thickness of the 1st deposit can be between 20 μm and 2 mm, preferably between 100 μm and 1 mm.

[0030] The thickness of the 2nd deposit can be between 20 μm and 2 mm, preferably between 100 μm and 1 mm.

[0031] The 1st and 2nd deposits are of very thin thickness and thus add very little thickness to the textile article. In other words, the thickness of the textile article according to the invention is essentially constituted by the thickness of the layer of textile material.

[0032] Unlike the grounding device described in the Korean patent application mentioned above, the textile article according to the invention has the advantage of being very thin and can therefore be adapted to all types of support, for example a mattress, an office or automobile seat.

[0033] The textile material may be chosen from cotton, polyamide, polyester, viscose, polypropylene, flame retardant materials, wool and silk. Preferably, the textile material is cotton or polyamide or polyester.

[0034] For example, it may be a mesh fabric, particularly made of polyester, creating the effect micro-perforations. This is why it is hereinafter referred to as “micro-perforated polyester”. Its thickness can be, for example, 2 mm and its weight from 80 to 300 g / m2, preferably from 110 to 180 g / m2.

[0035] The textile material can be chosen from non-woven, woven, knitted textile materials, as well as textile padding materials (for example wadding or polyurethane foam).

[0036] The thickness of the layer of textile material can be between 1 mm and 5 cm.

[0037] When the textile material is a padding material, the thickness of said textile material may be between 5 mm and 5 cm.

[0038] When the textile material is not a padding material, the thickness of said textile material may be between 1 mm and 2 cm, preferably between 1 mm and 10 mm.

[0039] The layer of textile material may comprise a single layer of textile material.

[0040] In other embodiments of the invention, the layer of textile material is composed of several layers of textile material which are superimposed on each other. The textile materials of these layers of textile material can be chosen from those described above.

[0041] In these embodiments of the invention: - the first face of the layer of textile material corresponds to the face of the layer of textile material called the “upper layer” which is not in contact with the previous layer of textile material on which said upper layer is placed, - the 2nd face of the layer of textile material corresponds to the face of the layer of textile material called the “lower layer” which is not in contact with the following layer of textile material which is placed on said lower layer.

[0042] In other words, the bottom layer is the first layer of textile material on which the following layers of textile material are superimposed on each other. The top layer being the last layer of textile material in this stack of layers of textile material.

[0043] When the layer of textile material comprises two layers, namely a lower layer on which an upper layer is arranged: - the first face of the textile material layer corresponds to the face of the upper layer which is not in contact with the lower layer, - the 2nd face of the textile material layer corresponds to the face of the lower layer which is not in contact with the upper layer.

[0044] Examples of a layer of textile material composed of several layers of textile material are described without this limiting the scope of the present invention.

[0045] The layer of textile material may be a layer of cotton with a weight of 140 g / m2 or micro-perforated polyester with a weight of 180 g / m2, for example. This type of textile material layer is particularly suitable when the textile article according to the invention is a mat or a blanket for equines.

[0046] The layer of textile material may also consist of a 1st layer of polyester textile material (for example with a weight of 110 g / m2) on which is arranged a 2nd layer of padding textile material comprising wadding. A 3rd layer of polyester textile material (for example with a weight of 110 g / m2) is arranged on said 2nd layer of textile material. The layer of textile material then comprises 3 layers of textile material. Depending on the thickness of the padding layer and the amount of wadding, this type of layer of textile material is particularly suitable when the textile article according to the invention is a quilted mat, a mattress, a cushion, a down jacket or even a quilted winter blanket for equines.

[0047] The layer of textile material may also consist of a 1st layer of polyester (for example with a weight of 110 g / m2) on which is arranged a 2nd layer of padding textile material comprising a memory foam, for example a polyurethane foam. A 3rd layer of polyester textile material (for example with a weight of 110 g / m2) is arranged on said 2nd layer of textile material. The layer of textile material then comprises 3 layers of textile material. Depending on the thickness of the padding layer, this type of layer of textile material is particularly suitable when the textile article according to the invention is a memory foam mattress, a memory foam cushion or even a quilted winter blanket for horses.

[0048] The polymer of the 1st deposit can be chosen from the group consisting of acrylics, polyurethanes and silicones, taken alone or in combination thereof. Preferably, it is acrylics or polyurethane.

[0049] The conductive material of the particles of the 1st deposit can be chosen from carbon, silver, nickel, copper, stainless steel, zinc and cobalt, taken alone or as a mixture thereof.

[0050] The size of the particles of the 1st deposit can be between 20 nanometers and 20 micrometers, preferably between 0.5 and 5 microns.

[0051] Most preferably, the particles of the 1st deposit are carbon black or acetylene black.

[0052] The 1st deposit may comprise, in mass percentages expressed relative to the mass of the 1st deposit: - between 1% and 10% of particles of conductive material, preferably carbon black, - between 90% and 99% of polymer, preferably at least one polymer chosen from those described above.

[0053] The 1st deposit may comprise at least 1 g / m2, preferably between 20 and 150 g / m2, of particles of conductive material, preferably carbon black.

[0054] The polymer of the 2nd deposit may be chosen from the group consisting of acrylics, polyurethanes, polystyrene / butadiene copolymers, natural or synthetic latex, silicone elastomer gel, silicone elastomer, butyl rubber, natural rubber, nitrile rubber, styrene block copolymer and styrene, taken alone or in combination thereof. Preferably, it is acrylic or polyurethane.

[0055] The metal oxides of the 2nd deposit are advantageously chosen from metal oxides capable of reflecting IR rays in the wavelength range between 3 and 20 pm.

[0056] The metal oxides of the 2nd deposit may be chosen from the group consisting of oxides of aluminum, titanium, zirconium, yttrium, magnesium, silicon, iron, cobalt, manganese, copper, zinc and chromium, taken alone or in combination thereof. Preferably, it is a mixture of all the aforementioned oxides.

[0057] The size of the metal oxide can be between 0.2 pm and 20 pm.

[0058] The 2nd deposit may further comprise a solvent chosen from water, acetate ethyl acetate, butyl acetate and methyl ethyl ketone.

[0059] The 2nd deposit may further comprise a hydrophilic compound chosen from carboxy-methyl-celluloses and polyethylene glycol.

[0060] The 2nd deposit may further comprise a compound chosen from dispersing, crosslinking or fixing agents.

[0061] The 2nd deposit may comprise, in mass percentages expressed relative to the mass of the 2nd deposit: - between 5% and 50% of metal oxides, - between 50% and 95% of polymer, preferably at least one polymer chosen from those described above, - optionally between 5% and 80% solvent, - optionally between 2% and 20% of a hydrophilic compound chosen from carboxymethylcelluloses and polyethylene glycol, - optionally between 1% and 10% of additional compounds, preferably at least one additional compound chosen from those described above.

[0062] The 2nd deposit comprises between 5 g / m2 and 150 g / m2 of metal oxides.

[0063] In an advantageous embodiment of the invention, a tear-resistant fabric may be attached (for example by gluing or sewing) to part or all of the 2nd deposit. This tear-resistant fabric may, for example, be a fabric synthetic, made in particular from polyester or polyamide. An example of a tear-resistant fabric is, for example, the fabric sold under the trade name “RIPSTOP ®”. This tear-resistant fabric makes it possible to reinforce the structure of the textile article according to the invention and therefore to increase its strength.

[0064] In another advantageous embodiment of the invention, a mesh fabric (for example a polyester mesh fabric) can be fixed by sewing or by gluing on part or all of the 2nd deposit. This embodiment of the invention is particularly suitable when the textile article is a mat. This fabric makes it possible to better fix the mat on the bed by preventing it from wrinkling and from moving under the fitted sheet under the action of the sleeper's movements.

[0065] In another advantageous embodiment of the invention, a mesh fabric (for example a polyester mesh fabric) may be attached by sewing or gluing to part or all of the 2nd deposit and a tear-resistant fabric (for example a fabric as described above) may be attached to this mesh fabric. This embodiment of the invention is particularly suitable when the textile article is a horse blanket.

[0066] In another advantageous embodiment of the invention, silicone elements are fixed to the 2nd deposit, if necessary on the mesh fabric or the tear-resistant fabric, so as to increase the stability of the textile article according to the invention. In this way, once placed in the desired location (for example on the mattress), the textile article according to the invention will not risk being moved inadvertently, in order to guarantee all the benefits of this textile article when it is grounded.

[0067] In another advantageous embodiment of the invention, a breathable fabric with large pores (for example polyester, polyamide, cotton, viscose, polypropylene) can be fixed by sewing or by gluing on part or on the whole of the 2nd deposit. This embodiment of the invention is particularly suitable when the textile article is a down jacket.

[0068] In embodiments of the invention, the grounding system of the textile article according to the invention may comprise: - a connecting wire made of conductive material (for example copper) having a 1st end configured to be connected to the 1st deposit and a 2nd end configured to be connected to a grounding means.

[0069] More specifically, the 1st deposit may comprise a connection element at the 1st end of the connection wire. This may for example be a rivet and the 1st end of the connection wire may comprise a crocodile clip. In this way, the 1st end of the connection wire is connected to the 1st deposit of the textile article.

[0070] In one embodiment of the invention, the grounding means to which is connected the 2nd end of the connecting wire can consist of a metal grounding rod which is placed directly in the ground (for example driven into the garden or in the basement of a house).

[0071] In another embodiment of the invention, the grounding means to which the 2nd end of the connecting wire is connected may consist of a grounded electrical outlet. In this embodiment, the 2nd end of the connecting wire may comprise a connecting means configured to be plugged into this grounded electrical outlet.

[0072] Furthermore, in order to avoid electric shocks, the connecting wire may advantageously comprise a fuse.

[0073] When the textile article is a seat for an automobile seat, the 2nd end of the connecting wire may be configured to be attached to a grounding means which consists of a metallic compound of the automobile which serves as ground. For example, this grounding means may be a metallic element, preferably positioned under the seat, which is conductively connected to the chassis of the automobile. The 2nd end of the connecting wire may comprise a connection means consisting of a crocodile clip which can be attached to said metallic element. The use of the ground (anode) of the cigarette lighter may be used to the extent that the cathode is shunted.

[0074] When the textile article according to the invention is a blanket for equines, the grounding system consists of the horseshoes (namely the metal strips curved in a “U” shape which serve to protect the underside of the equines’ hooves from wear). Indeed, the horseshoes allow the grounding of the blanket for equines according to the invention so that the equine benefits from all the advantages detailed above which are provided by said blanket. In this embodiment of the invention, the 1st deposit is therefore not in contact with the grounding system.

[0075] The textile article may be chosen from the group consisting of bed mats, sheets, blankets, chair or seat cushions, in particular automobile or office seats, blankets for equines, carpets, yoga mats, throws, cushions and clothing (for example down jackets).

[0076] More generally, it may be any textile article of any suitable shape to allow contact of a part of the body with the first deposit of said article, and this in particular for a moment of relaxation of the user in order to obtain all the health benefits of this textile article.

[0077] Preferably, it is a blanket for equines.

[0078] The invention also relates to a method for manufacturing a textile article according to the invention. The method may comprise at least the following steps: a) the first face of the layer of textile material is completely or partially covered with the 1st deposit; b) the 2nd face of the layer of textile material is completely or partially covered with the 2nd deposit.

[0079] Preferably, in step a), the first face of the layer of textile material is completely covered with the first deposit.

[0080] This covering of step a) can advantageously be carried out with a doctor blade. Then, preferably, this first deposit is dried in the oven on the layer of textile material at a temperature between 100°C and 200°C, preferably between 115°C and 185°C, more preferably between 130°C and 170°C, for a period of between 30 seconds and 10 minutes, preferably between 1 minute and 7 minutes, more preferably between 2 minutes and 5 minutes.

[0081] Preferably in step b), the 2nd face of the layer of textile material is completely covered with the 2nd deposit.

[0082] This covering of step b) can advantageously be carried out with a doctor blade. Then, preferably, this 2nd deposit is dried in the oven on the layer of textile material at a temperature between 100°C and 200°C, preferably between 115°C and 185°C, more preferably between 130°C and 170°C, for a time between 30 seconds and 10 minutes, preferably between 1 minute and 7 minutes, more preferably between 2 minutes and 5 minutes.

[0099] HRV is the variation in time of consecutive heartbeats. HRV is believed to correspond to the balance between sympathetic and parasympathetic influences on the intrinsic rhythm of the heart. HRV is related to lifestyle, physical activity, dietary habits, sleep patterns, and smoking. Decreased HRV is associated with the risk of cardiac events in adults. It is a predictor of high blood pressure. Decreased HRV is linked to an increased risk of death and may have predictive value for life expectancy and health. In athletes, HRV is monitored regularly because a decrease in it indicates fatigue or overtraining. It is a direct indicator of good recovery factors.

[0100] In addition, the athletes felt fitter and were able to increase their workload.

[0101] Thanks to the bed mat according to the invention, the parasympathetic system was more strongly stimulated and recovery was maximized. The athletes generally felt little or no muscle aches in the morning and many saw their cramps disappear during exercise.

[0102] 2) Desk seat:

[0103] Tests were carried out on 25 people working 8 hours a day in front of a computer while sitting on an office chair comprising a seat according to the invention. An increase in their alertness and a decrease in their fatigue were noted during the day.

[0104] 3) Horse blanket:

[0105] Tests were carried out with trotting racehorses fitted with equine rugs according to the invention. Better recovery and an increase in HRV were observed for all horses. In addition, the trainer found that the horses were calmer, more flexible and more willing to resume training.
