Description

Title of the invention: Cosmetic product dispenser pot comprising a refill with a removable cap Technical field of the invention

[0001] The invention relates to a refill for a cosmetic product dispenser pot, such as a care cream or makeup powder.

[0002] In this case, the pot comprises a base receiving the refill packaging the cosmetic product. When the refill is empty, it is sufficient to remove it and put a new one in the base.

[0003] This pot is stackable with other pots, so it can be easily transported. Technical background

[0004] We know of cosmetic product dispenser pots, comprising a base receiving a refill in which a cosmetic product is located. These pots are closed by lids. These pots are refillable. Indeed, when the refill is empty, it is replaced by another refill filled with a cosmetic product. This allows the pot and its lid to be preserved, which are generally more robust than the refill and which have aesthetic shapes.

[0005] Refills are generally closed by a seal that the user opens upon first use. The user then collects a dose of product with their fingers directly from inside the refill. The product is therefore in direct contact with the ambient air, and in contact with the user's fingers. The product risks being contaminated by bacteria present in the environment or on the user's finger. Summary of the invention

[0006] The present invention aims to overcome the various drawbacks stated above, by means of a cosmetic product dispenser pot receiving a refill provided with dispensing means allowing the user to recover a dose of product without putting his fingers directly inside the refill, and with hygiene management when changing the refill. This pot must be easily refillable, easily transportable, and easily stackable with other identical pots.

[0007] This aim is achieved by means of a refill for a cosmetic product dispenser pot, said refill comprising a hollow cylindrical body, a peripheral wall of which partly defines a chamber for packaging the cosmetic product, said chamber having a variable volume and also being defined by an upper wall of the body and a lower wall movable in translation relative to the body, said wall lower movable wall consisting of a piston in sealed contact with an interior surface of the body and movable inside the body so as to vary the volume of the chamber, said upper wall having a product dispensing orifice.

[0008] This refill is mainly characterized in that it also includes a cap for closing the dispensing orifice, said cap having first removable fixing means to the upper wall, as well as second fixing means for cooperating with a lid of the pot.

[0009] The main idea of this invention is to provide a completely closed refill, which is provided with a dispensing orifice.

[0010] This refill incorporates a pump-free dispensing device, in this case with a piston, to dispense doses of product through the dispensing orifice.

[0011] Since the dispensing orifice belongs to the refill, this means that each time the refill is changed, there is a new, clean dispensing orifice integrated into the pot. This helps to optimize the hygiene of the pot.

[0012] This orifice is sealed by a cap. This cap is removed when the user wishes to recover a dose of product.

[0013] Outside of dispensing times, the product contained in the refill is always protected from the external environment thanks to the cap, and the risk of contamination is greatly reduced.

[0014] The cap belongs to the refill, and thus has first removable fixing means for mounting it on the upper wall of the refill, to close the dispensing orifice. In addition to this, the cap has second removable fixing means for mounting it on a lid of the pot. This is particularly advantageous because the cap can thus be fixed on two different parts at the same time. This double attachment will be explained in the rest of the description.

[0015] According to the different embodiments of the invention, which may be taken together or separately: - said upper wall is curved around the dispensing orifice to present a recovery area for the dispensed product. - said first means of fixing the cap consist of a central sealing base penetrating inside the dispensing orifice to close it. - the refill has an upper collar extending radially outwards, at least two gripping tabs extending from this collar, perpendicularly.

[0016] The invention also relates to a cosmetic product dispenser pot having a central X axis and comprising:

[0017] - a base having a housing for receiving a refill according to one of the res indications 1 to 4;

[0026] - the refill mounted inside the base, the refill being provided with its cap; - a lid for sealing the pot, screwed onto a neck of the base, this lid has an orifice for receiving the cap of the refill, the cap having the second means of removable attachment to the lid. As mentioned earlier, there is a double attachment of the cap, both on the top wall of the refill, and on the lid. This is particularly advantageous for the following reasons. When the refill is first placed in the pot, the lid has a reception hole which is empty. When the user screws the lid, the cap is placed in the hole, and is attached to it so that the cap is then secured to the lid. Thus when the user unscrews the lid, he places the lid and cap assembly away from the upper wall of the refill, which allows the dispensing hole to be opened in a single movement, without having to handle the cap and remove it at a later stage after removing the lid. The user can operate the dispenser to deliver one or more doses of product. When the jar is closed with the lid fitted with the cap, the latter returns to the position of sealing the dispensing orifice, and the product contained in the refill is protected. Thus, thanks to the double attachment, the cap can protect the product in the refill before the first use, then after each use, and this without the user having to handle it with their fingers. Hygiene is further improved. According to the different embodiments of the invention, which may be taken together or separately: - the cap is fitted into the receiving hole of the cover by matching shapes forming said second fixing means, when screwing the cover onto the base. - the receiving hole opens out on either side of an upper wall of the cover, for fitting the plug into the receiving hole or for ejecting the plug from the receiving hole. - the pot has means of locking the refill in the base. - said locking means consist of a bayonet system located in the lower part of the pot. - said bayonet system consists of a first projection extending from an external surface of the body of the refill and cooperating with a second projection extending from an internal surface of the base. - said collar rests on an upper edge of the neck of the base when

[0031]

[0032] the refill is mounted in the base. - base neck has notches to accommodate the refill grip tabs. - each grip tab has a rib following the orientation of the thread on the tank neck. - the base has a bottom open with a central window allowing access to the piston. - the base, the refill and the cover are made of the same material. - the base, the refill and the cover are made of plastic material, of the type polypropylene or polyethylene. - the pot has means of stacking with a base or lid of another pot. - the means for stacking the lid consist of an annular groove located in the upper part of a peripheral wall of the lid, said groove being capable of cooperating with at least one protuberance provided for this purpose in the base of the other pot. - the base has means of stacking with a lid from another pot. - said base stacking means consist of at least one protrusion projecting from an inner surface of a lower outer skirt of the base, the protrusion being capable of being fitted into a groove provided for this purpose in the lid of the other pot. Finally, the invention relates to a method for reloading a pot as described previously, comprising the following steps: - separate the cover from the base, the cap being integral with the cover; - remove the refill from the base by rotating the refill counterclockwise followed by an axial translation movement, the refill being without a cap; - insert a new refill with its cap into the base by an axial translation movement followed by a clockwise rotation movement to lock the new refill in rotation in the base via a bayonet system; - fit the cover to the base by screwing it on, the cap of the new refill pressing against the cap of the cover until it is ejected and replaced in the receiving hole of the cover. Brief description of the figures Other characteristics and advantages of the invention will appear during the reading of the detailed description which follows for the understanding of which one refers will refer to the attached drawings in which:

[0037] [Fig.5] is a perspective view of the refill without the cap;

[0038] [Fig.6] is a perspective view of the base;

[0039] [Fig.7] is a sectional view of the pot according to the preceding figures, stacked on a lid of another pot. Detailed description of the invention

[0040] By convention, the “axial” direction corresponds to that of the main extension of the receptacle, illustrated by the X axis in [Fig.l], and the “radial” direction is orthogonal to the axial direction.

[0041] In the detailed description of the figures which follows, the terms “upper” and “lower” or “top” and “bottom” will be used in a non-limiting manner with reference to the axial direction. Thus, the term “upper” means a part located in the vicinity of a cover 4 of the pot 1, and the term “lower” means a part located in the vicinity of a bottom of the pot 1.

[0042] Similarly, the terms "outer or external" and "inner or internal" are used with reference to the radial direction, an outer element being radially further from the X-axis than an inner element.

[0043] The cosmetic product dispenser pot 1 shown in [Fig.l] is mainly made up of a base 3 inside which a refill 5, not visible, is inserted, and a cover 4 covering this base 3.

[0044] The refill 5 allows the cosmetic product to be packaged. By cosmetic product, we mean a fluid product, such as a foundation cream. By fluid product, we mean a more or less viscous product, which is not solid.

[0045] [Fig.2] is a sectional view which this time allows the refill 5 to be seen placed inside the pot 1.

[0046] This refill 5 is cylindrical in revolution, like all the parts forming part of the pot 1.

[0047] The cosmetic product is stored in a chamber 27 provided for this purpose in the refill 5.

[0048] [Fig. 3] is an exploded view which allows you to see all the parts belonging to the pot 1. In this case, there is the base 3, the cover 4, and the refill 5.

[0049] The refill 5 consists of a set of parts, namely a hollow cylindrical body 5 closed in the upper part by an upper wall 21, a stopper 8, a piston 6, and a support plate 7 on the piston 6.

[0050] To deliver a dose of product contained in the refill 5, the user presses with his finger on the plate 7 of the piston 6 so as to create an overpressure in the chamber 27 to cause the product to exit via a dispensing orifice 26 provided on the upper wall 21.

[0051] There is therefore no pump in this pot 1, just manual means of dispensing the cosmetic product.

[0052] The refill 5 itself, even without the base and the cover, allows doses of fluid product to be dispensed thanks to its piston 6 and its dispensing orifice 26. Outside of dispensing times, the cap 8 closes the dispensing orifice 26.

[0053] In particular, before the first use of the refill 5, the cap 8 seals the dispensing orifice 26. To allow the delivery of a dose of product, the cap 8 must be removed, the piston 6 actuated, the product recovered, then the dispensing orifice 26 closed with the cap 8.

[0054] More precisely, the chamber 27 which contains the cosmetic product is delimited both by a peripheral wall 51 of the body 5, by the upper wall 21 of the body 5, and by the piston 6 in the lower part of the refill 5.

[0055] In the example presented, the upper wall 21 and the peripheral wall 51 are made of the same material and form a single piece, the body 5.

[0056] However, the upper wall 21 and the peripheral wall could consist of two different pieces secured to each other so as to form the body 5.

[0057] The body 5 is open at the bottom.

[0058] The piston 6 is arranged inside the body 5, passing through the opening formed in the lower part of the body 5. The piston 6 thus forms the bottom of the chamber 27.

[0059] The piston 6 conventionally comprises at least one annular lip 61, 62 capable of coming into contact with the inner surface of the peripheral wall 51 of the body 5. In the present case, it comprises a first upper lip 61, and a second lower lip 62 located under the first lip 61.

[0060] These lips 61, 62 make it possible to create a seal between the body 5 and the piston 6, so that there is no leakage of product under the piston 6.

[0061] The piston 6 is movable in translation, along the axis X, inside the body 5, so as to vary the volume of the chamber 27.

[0062] In [Fig.2], the piston 6 is located at the lower end of the body 5, therefore the volume of the chamber is at its maximum. With each product dispensing, the piston 6 rises slightly within the body 5, so as to reduce the volume of the chamber 27. The piston 6 thus rises inside until it comes into abutment against the upper wall 21 of the body 5, which means that the chamber 27 is empty of product.

[0063] Preferably, the piston 6 has a central support with a slightly domed shape, which matches the slightly domed interior shape of the upper wall 21 of the body 5, so that it can come into abutment against this upper wall 21 with a flat contact, which means that all the cosmetic product has been dispensed. This avoids having dead volumes with residual product once the piston 6 has reached the abutment within the body 5.

[0064] The piston 6 has a thickened, therefore reinforced, central part 64 on which the user can press to raise the piston 6, and therefore compress the chamber 27 to deliver a dose of product.

[0065] In order to have good contact between the user's finger and the piston 6, an optional support plate 7 is arranged under the central part of the piston 6.

[0066] This plate 7 can also present information on the formula of the cosmetic product or on the name of the product, or the name of the brand.

[0067] The upper wall 21 of the body 5 has the distribution orifice 26 at its central zone.

[0068] This upper wall 21 is slightly curved towards the inside of the body 5, so as to define a bowl 25 serving as a zone for recovering the dispensed product, which extends all around the dispensing orifice 26. This bowl shape 25 makes it possible to receive the product without it overflowing from the upper wall 21. This also makes it easier for the user to recover his dose of product with his finger by scraping this bowl 25.

[0069] The dispensing orifice 26 has a truncated cone shape in the upper wall 21.

[0070] This truncated cone shape makes it possible to accommodate first means of fixing the cap 8.

[0071] These first means of fixing the cap 8 consist of a central base 83 penetrating inside the dispensing orifice 26 to close it.

[0072] This base 83 is provided with an annular groove 82 inside which penetrates an annular rib 29 provided for this purpose in the upper wall 21, and which delimits the distribution orifice 26 at the end of the frustoconical zone. A sealed contact is thus made between the plug 8 and the upper wall 21, when the plug 8 is placed in the distribution orifice 26.

[0073] The cap 8 also has second fixing means which allow it to cooperate with the cover 4 of the pot 1, as will be explained in the remainder of the description.

[0074] The refill 5 as described previously can be inserted inside the base 3.

[0075] Thus the base 3 has a housing in which the refill 5 is integrated.

[0076] More precisely, the base 3 has a cylindrical body 10 surmounted by a neck 35 onto which the cover 4 can be screwed.

[0077] The neck 35 defines an opening inside which the refill 5 can be inserted.

[0078] The base 3 has an openwork bottom 33 with a central window 32 allowing the passage of the central part 64 of the piston 6 with its plate 7, so that the user has access to the plate 7 of the piston 6 from the bottom 33 of the pot 1.

[0079] The bottom 33 of the base 3 makes it possible to hide and protect the lips 61, 62 of the piston 6.

[0080] Preferably, the refill 5 has an upper collar 22 extending ra- dially outwards. This collar 22 comes to bear on the upper edge 37 of the neck 35 of the base 3 at the end of insertion of the refill 5 into the base 3.

[0081] Thus, the refill 5 is suspended inside the base 3, and does not rest in the bottom 33 of the base 3. This makes it possible to overcome the differences in dimensions that there may be from one refill 5 to another, for example.

[0082] Advantageously, the pot 1 has means for locking the refill 5 in the base 3. Indeed, once the refill 5 is inserted into the base 3, it is preferable that it no longer moves in rotation or axially, in particular when the user takes the dose of product and scrapes the upper wall 21 of the refill 5 with his finger.

[0083] These locking means consist of a bayonet system 52,30 located in the lower part of the pot 1.

[0084] More precisely, this bayonet system 52,30 consists of a first projection 52 extending from the external surface of the peripheral wall 51 of the body 5 of the refill 5, and cooperates with a second projection 30b extending from an internal surface of the body 5 of the base 3.

[0085] The first projection 52 is located in the lower part of the body 5 of the refill 5. Similarly, the second projection 30b is located in the lower part of the base 3, that is to say under the neck 35 of the base 3.

[0086] When placing the refill 5 in the base 3, the refill 5 is first inserted axially and then at the end of its axial travel, a slight rotation, preferably clockwise, is carried out so that the first projection 52 comes to position itself under the second projection 30b, in a space 30c provided for this purpose. An axial lock is then achieved.

[0087] The second projection 30b has an axial return 30d, which acts as a stop during rotation of the refill 5 in the base 3, which makes it possible to stop the rotational movement of the refill 5 relative to the base 3.

[0088] In addition, the first projection 52 is provided with a hollow 53 which cooperates with an axial protuberance 30a extending from the second projection 30b, allowing the passage of a hard point during the rotation of the refill 5 in the base 3. The passage of This hard point gives an indication to the user that the refill 5 is securely locked in position inside the base 3, with an axial lock and a rotation lock.

[0089] To remove the refill 5, the user turns the refill 5 counterclockwise, then removes the refill 5 axially.

[0090] To facilitate the handling of the refill 5 when it is mounted in the base 3 as well as when it is removed from the base 3, the refill 5 has at least two gripping tabs 23 extending from the collar 22, perpendicularly.

[0091] To harmoniously integrate these grip tabs 23 into the general aesthetic appearance of the pot 1, the base 3 has notches 39 for receiving the grip tabs 23 of the refill 5. These receiving notches 39 are cut out in the neck 35 of the base 3. Thus the neck 35 of the base 3 has a discontinuous shape in the upper part.

[0092] When rotating the refill 5 in the base 3 for its installation, the tabs 23 are progressively positioned in the notches 39. When passing the hard point, an end edge of each tab 23 can come into abutment against an end edge delimiting the corresponding notch 39, so as to have a double rotational locking of the refill 5 relative to the base 3.

[0093] Once the refill 5 is placed in the base 3, the tabs 23 completely fill the notches 39, and the upper edge of the pot 1, without its cover 4, has a uniform and flat appearance.

[0094] For fixing the cover 4 to the base 3 by screwing, an external thread 36 is provided on the neck 35 of the base 3 and cooperates with an internal thread 42 provided on a peripheral wall 41 of the cover 4.

[0095] Optionally, the tabs 23 for gripping the refill 5 each have an external rib 24 which follows the orientation of the adjacent thread belonging to the external thread 36 of the neck 35 of the base 3. This makes it possible to replace the external thread 36 of the base 3 at the level of the receiving notches 39 because they do not have any.

[0096] Thus, when the user screws the cover 4 onto the base 3, the internal thread 42 of the cover 4 cooperates both with the external thread 36 of the neck 35 of the base 3, and with the ribs 24 of the tabs 23 for gripping the refill 5.

[0097] The ribs 24 also allow a better grip of the gripping tabs 23, with an anti-slip effect.

[0098] The cover 4 of the pot 1 has a main wall 43 which is flat, perpendicular to the axis X, from which the peripheral wall 41 comprising the internal thread 42 extends.

[0099] This main wall 43 has a receiving orifice 44 for the cap 8 of the refill 5.

[0100] Thus when the user screws the cover 4 onto the base 3, the cap 8 arranged above- top of the refill 5 fits inside the receiving hole 44 of the cover 4.

[0101] Once the cover 4 is mounted on the base 3, it is no longer possible to remove the cap 8. This prevents any accidental dispensing of the product.

[0102] According to the invention, the plug 8 has second removable fixing means for the cover 4. More precisely, the plug 8 is fitted into the receiving orifice 44 of the cover 4 by matching shapes, forming these second fixing means.

[0103] More precisely, the plug 8 has an annular groove 81 into which an annular rib 46 provided for this purpose in the main wall 43 of the cover 4 is inserted.

[0104] Thus, when the plug 8 is housed in the receiving orifice 44, it fits inside, and remains trapped in the cover 4.

[0105] These second means for fixing the cap 8 to the cover 4 are more rigid than the first means for fixing the cap 8 to the upper wall 21 of the refill 5, so that when the cover 4 is removed, the cap 8 separates from the upper wall 21 of the refill 5, remaining fitted into the cap 8. Thus the cap 8, initially secured to the refill 5 before the first use of the refill 5, becomes secured to the cover 4 once the latter is screwed onto the base 3.

[0106] Preferably, the annular rib 46 of the cover 4 and the annular groove 81 of the plug 8 are crenellated, so as to block the plug 8 in rotation relative to the cover 4.

[0107] The receiving orifice 44 opens into the interior of the main wall 43 of the cover 4.

[0108] Thus, when the cover 4 is screwed onto the base 3 for the first time, the cap 8 of the refill 5 is inserted into the receiving orifice 44, from below the cover 4, in an upwardly oriented mounting direction. The cap 8 is then secured to the cover 4, and moved away from the refill 5 each time the user unscrews the cover 4, which allows the dispensing orifice 26 to be opened so that the user can use the product. After each use, the cover 4 is replaced on the base 3, so that the base 83 of the cap 8 again penetrates the interior of the dispensing orifice 26 to close it tightly.

[0109] Then when refilling the pot 1 when it is empty, the cover 4 is unscrewed with the cap 8, the refill 5 without cap 8 is removed from the base 3, and a new refill 5 with a new cap 8 is placed in the base 3. Then the cover 4 is screwed onto the base 3, and the new cap 8 comes to bear against the old cap 8 in place in the cover 4, and exerts pressure on the old cap 8 until it is ejected from the receiving orifice 44 from the top of the cover 4, thanks to the fact that it is open-ended. The new cap 8 then comes into place in the receiving orifice 44, always in the same mounting direction oriented towards the high.

[0110] Advantageously, when the cap 8 is in place in the cover 4, its upper surface is flush with the upper surface of the cover 4, for an optimal external aesthetic appearance, and to ultimately obtain a general upper surface of the pot 1 which is flat.

[0111] This is particularly advantageous insofar as this pot 1 is intended to be able to be stacked with other identical pots 1.

[0112] To be able to ensure such stacking, the cover 4 and the base 3 have stacking means, so that the base 3 of a first pot 1 can be fitted onto the cover 4 of a second pot 1, or so that the cover 4 of the first pot 1 can be fitted onto the base 3 of a third pot 1.

[0113] To do this, the base 3 has a lower external skirt 31, surrounding the body 10 of the base 3. A shoulder 38 is made between the neck 35 of the base 3 and this skirt 31. This shoulder 38 is dimensioned so as to be able to align the external surface of the skirt 31 with the external surface of the peripheral wall 41 of the cover 4, to have a pot 1 whose overall external appearance is relatively homogeneous.

[0114] The stacking means consist of: - an annular groove 45 of the cover 4 provided at its external junction between its peripheral wall 41 and its main wall 43, and - protrusions 34 regularly arranged at the level of the internal surface of the external skirt 31.

[0115] The protrusions 34 of the base 3 of an upper pot 1 fit elastically into the groove 45 of the cover 4 of a lower pot 1, so as to snap the base 3 into the cover 4.

[0116] The external skirt 31 projects axially relative to the bottom 33 of the base 3, so as to create a free space inside which the main wall 43 of the cover 4 provided with the stopper 8 of the lower pot 1 can be housed.

[0117] Preferably, the lower periphery of the peripheral wall 41 of the cover 4 has a plurality of hollows 46 intended to facilitate the unscrewing of the cover in the mold during its manufacture.

[0118] Preferably, the base 3, the refill 5, and the lid 4 are made of the same plastic material. This avoids the user having to sort the different parts of his pot 1, according to the materials, to throw it into different sorting bins.

[0119] The plastic material may be chosen from polypropylene (PP), recycled polypropylene (R-PP), polyethylene terephthalate (PET), recycled polyethylene terephthalate (R-PET), a thermoplastic elastomer (TPE), polyethylene (PE), such as low density polyethylene (LDPE) and / or high density polyethylene (HDPE), a composite material, a post-consumer recycled material (PCR and / or a similar material). Preferably, it is recycled or non-recycled polypropylene and / or polyethylene terephthalate.

[0120] Thus, advantageously, the base 3, the refill 5, and the cover 4 are made of plastic material chosen from polypropylene and / or polyethylene terephthalate.

[0121] The use of plastic materials, in particular similar plastic materials for the entire pot 1, makes it easier to recycle. In particular, polypropylene and polyethylene terephthalate are two plastic materials whose recycling cycle is well known.

[0122] Pot 1 can be made using 3D printing.

[0123] In particular, the base 3, the refill 5, and the lid 4 can be produced by 3D printing. Such a printing process makes it possible in particular to produce these parts very freely, presenting patterns and shapes contributing to the aesthetic appearance of the pot 1.

[0124] The configurations shown in the cited figures are only possible examples, in no way limiting, of the invention which on the contrary encompasses the variants of shapes and designs within the reach of those skilled in the art.
