Abstract

A device that improves the stability of moving vehicles. The present invention relates to a profile and dimensions for the use of vertical fins "D" that evacuate all or part of the air cushion that forms under the vehicle when it is in motion. It is necessary to adhere to specific fin dimensions and profiles that channel the air cushion from the underside of the vehicle towards its sides. For greater efficiency, it is preferable to have several vertical fins "D" arranged one behind the other. See Figure 1 for abbreviations.

Claims

Claims

1. Side underbody device comprising, in pairs, at least two elements symmetrical to each other with respect to the median vertical plane of the vehicle comprising a horizontal spoiler, as well as one or more vertical spoilers “D”, placed in the extension of the front and rear wheels, characterized in that there are no areas of restriction of the air flow, from the leading edges “A” towards the trailing edges “B”.

2. Device according to claim 1 characterized in that the flow of air between the fins “D” can flare from the leading edges “A” towards the trailing edges “B”.

3. Device according to claim 1 characterized by a height, of the leading edges “A” of the fins “D”, between approximately 2 and 4 centimeters.

4. Device according to claims 1 and 3, characterized by a height of the trailing edges “B” of the ailerons “D”, being at most 3 times the height of the leading edge “A” of the ailerons “D”.

5. Air flow flaring according to claim 2, characterized in that the dimension of the air flow section at the trailing edges "B" is at most 3 times the air flow section at the leading edges "A".

6. Device according to the preceding claims, characterized by a maximum height of 6 to 7 centimeters of the trailing edges “B” of the fins “D”.

7. Underbody device according to the preceding claims, characterized in that the ground clearance “C” of said device is at least 10 centimeters high.

8. Ground clearance “G” of the entire underside of the vehicle, excluding the device described in the preceding claims, characterized in that it is at least the height of the ground clearance “C” added to the height of the leading edge “A”.
