[0001] The present invention relates to a roll of masking film for paint booths and the like, a kit comprising said roll, and a booth comprising a plurality of such kits. The invention is particularly intended for automotive paint booths; however, other uses are not excluded when the walls of a booth must be protected against contact with certain substances. STATE OF THE ART
[0002] In the field of automotive paint booths, such as those of paint ovens, it is common to use a masking film to cover the walls of the booth and thus protect them from the paint. The film is generally made of an electrostatic material, that is to say capable of adhering to the walls of the booth.
[0003] In the known technique, the film is supplied in rolls, where it is folded on itself several times with folding lines orthogonal to the axis of the roll, as can be seen in [Fig.l].
[0004] This roll is not practical to use and therefore, at least two people are required to apply it. In fact, in the first phase, one person unrolls the roll horizontally and the other holds the film. Then, it must be applied evenly to the walls. This means that both operators must coordinate to fix the upper edge of the film to the walls of the cabin with adhesive tape.
[0005] The film also has to be unfolded and, as it is folded several times on itself, it inevitably ends up in a disordered state due to the electrostatic effect of the layers on each other.
[0006] Both people will therefore need to have a lot of time and patience to protect the cabin walls, in accordance with the rules and uniformly, as illustrated in [Fig.2].
[0007] Other disadvantages of the prior art are that it is not possible to replace only part of the masking of the cabin wall. In fact, the entire film must be replaced. This makes the system that is the subject of the prior art impractical and quite expensive.
[0008] The aim of the present invention is to partially overcome the problems of the known technique.
[0009] One of the primary objectives of the present invention is to make it more practical and faster to apply an electrostatic masking film to the walls of a cabin.

3. Roller (10) according to claim 2, characterized in that L belongs to one of the following intervals: - [40-50[ cm; - [90-100[ cm; - [140-150[ cm; - [190-200[ cm.

Roll (10) according to one of the preceding claims 1 to 3, characterized in that said film (6), in the rolled-up configuration, has at least one edge orthogonal to the X axis folded to form a wing (30), so that when the film (6) is in an unrolled configuration and the wing (30) is unfolded, the film (6) has a length Lmax in the direction parallel to the X axis greater than L.

13. Kit comprising: - a roller (10) according to one of the preceding claims 1 to 12; - a box (15) for housing said roller (10) configured to support it in an operational unwinding configuration.
14. Kit according to claim 13, characterized in that said box (15) comprises means for application to a paint booth wall or is integrated into the wall of a booth.
15. Kit according to claim 13 or 14, characterized in that the roller (10) is able to be freely inserted and removed from the box (15) for replacement, and it is rotatable when unrolling around the horizontal X axis.
