Title of the invention: Device for handling at least one log of wood

[0001] The present invention relates to a device for handling at least one log of wood. This invention also relates to a heating installation comprising a brazier and such a device for handling at least one log of wood.

[0002] The invention relates to the field of manufacturing heating devices, more particularly to the field of manufacturing devices for handling fuels in the form of wood logs intended for such heating devices.

Handling device (1) according to claim 1, characterized in that it comprises fastening means (6) which are configured, on the one hand, to reversibly fasten the support (2) and the suspension means (5) and, on the other hand, to adopt an active fastening position and an inactive fastening position.

Handling device (1) according to claim 2, characterized in that the fastening means (6) comprise, on the one hand, hooking means (60) which the suspension means (5) comprise and, on the other hand, complementary hooking means (61), which the support (2) comprises, and which are configured to cooperate with the hooking means (60) of the suspension means (5), this in active fastening position.

Handling device (1) according to claim 3 or 6, characterized in that, as the case may be, the additional attachment means (61), respectively the additional rotation-locking means (71), comprise at least one orifice, which has a shape complementary to that of the attachment means (60), respectively the rotation-locking means (70), and which comprises the support (2), respectively the chassis (3).

A handling device (1) according to any one of the preceding claims, characterized in that it comprises assembly means (8) configured to assemble the chassis (3) and the suspension means (5), and comprising, on the one hand, assembly portions (80) of the suspension means (5), which include a stop (81) positioned on one side of the chassis (3) and a threaded portion (82) positioned on the other side of the chassis (3), on the other hand, through holes (83), which the chassis (3) comprises, and which are traversed by the assembly portions (80) which the suspension means (5) comprise and, on the other hand, screws (84), respectively threaded nuts, which cooperate with the threaded part (82), respectively threaded, of the assembly portions (80) of the suspension means (5).

Handling device (1) according to claim 12, characterized in that the chassis (3) comprises, on the one hand, at least one cross member (30; 30') and, on the other hand, at least one longitudinal member (31; 31'), which extends in a direction which forms a non-zero angle with the direction in which said at least one cross member (30; 30') extends while the handling device (1) further comprises fastening means (4), which are configured to fasten said at least one cross member (30; 30') and said at least one longitudinal member (31; 31'), and which comprise at least a part of the assembly means (8).

14. Handling device (1) according to any one of the preceding claims, characterized in that it comprises fastening means (9) which are configured to fix said at least one log on the support (2).

15. Handling device (1) according to claim 14, characterized in that the fastening means (9) comprise, on the one hand, a through hole (90) which the support (2) comprises and, on the other hand, a fastening member which is configured to pass through said through hole (90) and to cooperate with said at least one log.

16. A heating installation comprising a brazier which includes, on the one hand, a firebox and, on the other hand, a base and at least one side wall which delimit the firebox, characterized in that it also includes a device for handling (1) at least one log of wood which conforms to any one of the preceding claims, while the base, which includes the brazier, on the one hand, is removable and, on the other hand, is at least partly constituted by the support (2) which includes the device for handling (1) at least one log of wood.

17. A method for supplying a heating installation with at least one log of wood, this supply method comprises: - a positioning step which consists of positioning, inside a firebox of a heating installation and via of a handling device (1) for at least one log of wood conforming to any one of claims 1 to 15, a part of the handling device (1) together with at least one log of wood which is supported by the support (2) which this handling device (1) comprises; - a release step which consists of releasing at least the suspension means (5) which the handling device (1) comprises, this with respect to the support (2) and the frame (3); - a removal step which consists of removing at least the suspension means (5) from the firebox of the heating installation, so that only said at least one log of wood and the support (2) of the handling device (1) remain inside the firebox of the heating installation.

18. A method for extinguishing at least one burning log of wood, this extinguishing method comprises: - an extraction step which consists of extracting, from the firebox of a heating installation and by means of a handling device (1), at least one burning log of wood conforming to any one of claims 1 to 15, at least one burning log of wood which is supported by the support (2) which the handling device (1) comprises; - an immersion step which consists of immersing at least said burning log of wood inside an extinguishing container which contains water, this by means of the handling device (1); - a removal step which consists of removing, from the extinguishing container, at least said at least one log of wood, this by means of the handling device (1);- a containment step which consists of confining at least one log of wood inside a hermetically sealed containment container.
