Abstract

A motor vehicle disc brake caliper comprising a piston (10) having, along an axis (A), a rear wall (12) receiving the pressure of brake fluid, a cylindrical guide portion (16) within the caliper (2), a circular inner recess (20) including a forward-facing opening, and a thermal insulation spacer (22) formed of a low-conductivity material, comprising a rear face (26) bearing axially against the bottom of the inner recess (20), a front face (30) bearing against the brake pad (8), and a circular outer contour (24) having at least three centering bosses (34) bearing within this inner recess (20).
