Bicycle disc brake assembly

A bicycle disc brake assembly is provided with a double disc brake rotor with a pair of floating discs and a bicycle disc brake caliper with four friction members. The center or intermediate friction members are floating friction pads. The bicycle disc brake caliper also has a caliper housing with a single piston unit. The housing has a frame mounting member sized to be coupled to a portion of a bicycle frame. The piston unit is movably coupled to the housing between a release position, in which the piston unit is spaced from a disc brake mounted to a wheel of a bicycle, and a braking position, in which the piston unit engages the disc brake of the bicycle wheel. The double disc brake rotor has a support member with first and second disc brake members movably coupled thereto. More specifically, the support member has an outer attachment portion and an inner attachment portion. The inner attachment portion is configured to be coupled to rotate with a hub about a center rotational axis. The first disc member is movably coupled to the outer attachment portions for a first amount of axial movement relative to the support member. The second disc member is movably coupled to the outer attachment portion for a second amount of axial movement relative to the support member. The second amount of axial movement is different from the first amount of axial movement. Preferably, the first amount of axial movement is preferably at least twice the second amount of axial movement.

Heat insulator for disc brake

A disc brake assembly is provided with heat insulators to reduce the heat transferred to the hydraulic fluid of the disc brake assembly during braking. The disc brake assembly includes a caliper housing, a first and a second friction member coupled to the caliper housing and one or more pistons movably coupled to the caliper housing to move one or both of the friction members. The first and second friction members form a rotor receiving slot. At least the first friction member is movably coupled to the caliper housing and the piston is movably coupled to the caliper housing to move the first friction member between a release position and a braking position. Each piston has an internal recess to partially receive the heat insulator. The heat insulator is disposed between the piston and the first friction member to prevent heat transfer from the first friction member to the piston. The heat insulator has a first end with a first end surface received in the recess of the piston, a second end with a second end surface spaced from the first end surface and a side wall extending between the first and second end surfaces. The second end is partially received in the recess of the piston and the side wall has a protrusion extending from the side wall to space the heat insulator from the piston. Alternatively, a heat insulator is provided that has a first end with a first end surface received in the recess of the piston, a second end with a second end surface spaced from the first end surface and a side wall extending between the first and second end surfaces. The second end is partially received in the recess of the piston and has a groove formed in the second end surface.

Forklift travelling and parking integrated wet-type brake driving axle

The invention discloses a forklift travelling and parking integrated wet-type brake driving axle which comprises a main reducer assembly, an axle housing assembly, a left brake assembly, a right brake assembly, a left half axle, a right half axle, spline sleeves and fixing gear rings. A group of friction plates are arranged on each spline sleeve; a group of diaphragms are arranged in a groove of an inner hole of the left axle housing and a group of diaphragms are arranged in a groove of an inner hole of the right axle housing in the axle housing assembly; the friction plates and the diaphragms are alternately mounted; the left brake assembly and the right brake assembly are each provided with a parking brake mechanism and a travelling brake mechanism; hydraulic oil is guided into the left axle housing, and thus travelling brake and parking brake is completed in the parking brake mechanism and the travelling brake mechanism correspondingly under the action of the hydraulic oil. The friction plates are separated from the diaphragms through centrifugal force and inertia force after a vehicle moves. The influence on the parking brake from external factors like mud, water and oil is avoided, and the maintenance is convenient since the friction plates and the diaphragms can be maintained and replaced without disassembling an axle assembly.
