Abstract
Description
[Technical field]
[0001] The present invention relates to a composition for removing keratin plugs. [Background technology]
[0002] Keratin plugs are formed in the pores of the nose and cheeks, and are formed when sebum secreted from the sebaceous glands and waste products from the stratum corneum accumulate and solidify inside the pores. They are known to be substances mainly composed of lipids and proteins. Keratin plugs feel rough and bumpy to the touch, and when they turn black, they can lead to a loss of aesthetic appearance. They can also enlarge and push the pores open, which is one of the causes of pores becoming larger and more noticeable. For this reason, many people, mainly young people, both men and women, have problems with pores. As a countermeasure, various techniques have been developed to remove keratin plugs. In particular, means for removing keratin plugs using cosmetics and miscellaneous goods have been proposed, and methods have been devised in which keratin plugs are removed by washing with water after cleansing (e.g., Patent Document 1), and methods of removing keratin plugs by attaching them to cosmetic sheets for removing keratin plugs (e.g., Patent Document 2). Further methods that have been devised include a method of removing keratin plugs using a composition for removing keratin plugs that combines liquid oil with an organic base such as an ethylenediamine derivative (e.g., Patent Document 3), a method of removing keratin plugs using a specific organic base such as 2-amino-2-hydroxymethyl-1,3-propanediol and a composition adjusted to a specific pH range (e.g., Patent Document 4), and a method that relies on the promotion of the activity of enzymes such as proteases by bottle gourd extract (e.g., Patent Document 5). [0004] While these are aimed at removing keratin plugs, the methods of removing keratin plugs using adhesive sheets that have been developed so far are difficult to apply only to keratin plugs, and since they also remove the surrounding stratum corneum, there is concern that they may put a strain on the skin and cause irritation or roughness. In comparison, the method of removing keratin plugs using cosmetics can be said to be a relatively less irritating method, but the incorporation of high concentrations of bases or the use of enzyme activity may damage the surrounding stratum corneum, causing inflammation or irritation, and thus the problem has not been completely solved. Furthermore, since these preparations are used on a daily basis, it is desirable for them to be easy and hassle-free for consumers to use, and as one solution to this problem, preparations that have both the functions of removing keratin plugs and removing makeup (cleansing) have been developed. Meanwhile, in recent years, the functionality of makeup products has improved remarkably, and many high-performance cosmetics aimed at increasing the durability of the makeup film have been launched on the market.Specifically, there are foundations, concealers, eye colors, etc. that contain multiple resins, waxes, thickeners, surface-coating powders, etc., and high performance is required for cleansing products to remove high-performance cosmetics efficiently and effectively.
[0005] Therefore, an object of the present invention is to provide a composition for removing keratin plugs which is excellent in terms of non-irritation to the skin and also has excellent performance in removing keratin plugs and makeup. [Means for solving the problem]
[0006] As a result of intensive research, the inventors have completed a keratin plug removing composition which contains an oil agent having an HSP distance Ra of 5.0 or less between δd=14.0, δp=1.0, δh=1.0 and an oil agent having an HSP distance Ra of 5.0 or less between δd=18.5, δp=4.0, δh=4.0, and which satisfies the Hansen solubility parameter at 25°C of the keratin plug removing composition and the HSP distance Ra of 4.0 or less between δd=15.6, δp=4.7, δh=5.1, and which is substantially free of organic acids or organic bases.

[0008] According to the present invention, it is possible to provide a composition for removing keratin plugs which has high removal performance for keratin plugs and makeup and is excellent in non-irritation. DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENTS
[0009] The present invention will be described in detail below, focusing on its preferred embodiments. In this specification, the symbol "to" means a range including the numerical values before and after the symbol. In this specification, percentages are expressed by mass unless otherwise specified.
[0010] The Hansen solubility parameter (hereinafter, also referred to as HSP) in this invention is a value used to predict the solubility of a substance, which was announced by Charles M. Hansen in 1967, and is a parameter based on the idea that "two substances with similar intermolecular interactions are likely to dissolve in each other." HSP is calculated by the following three parameters (unit: MPa 1 / 2 ) δd: Energy due to intermolecular dispersion forces δp: Energy due to dipole interactions between molecules δh: Energy due to hydrogen bonds between molecules These three parameters can be regarded as coordinates in a three-dimensional space (Hansen space), and when the HSPs of two substances are placed in Hansen space, the closer the distance between the two points, the easier it is for them to dissolve in each other. In other words, as the saying goes, "similar things dissolve well in each other," HSPs can be used as an index of affinity. A detailed explanation is given in the March 2010 issue of Kagaku Kogyo (Kagaku Kogyosha), and the HSPs of various substances can be obtained by using the computer software "HSPiP: Hansen Solubility Parameters in Practice" and the like. In this disclosure, unless otherwise specified, the HSPs obtained using this computer software "HSPiP: Hansen Solubility Parameters in Practice" ver.5.3.02 are used. Hereinafter, the HSP of component X will be indicated as δd=δdx, δp=δpx, δh=δhx), or [δdx, δpx, δhx] (hereinafter, this notation method will be used).
[0011] Furthermore, the HSP distance Ra (hereinafter, also referred to as Ra) refers to the HSP distance that can be calculated using the Ra calculation function of "HSPiP: Hansen Solubility Parameters in Practice". It can also be expressed as follows. That is, when the HSP of component X is [δdX, δpX, δhX], the difference between the HSP of component Y [δdY, δpY, δhY] and Ra (unit: MPa 1 / 2 ) may satisfy the following formula: Ra = [4 × (δdX - δdY) 2 +(δpX - δpY) 2 +(δhX - δhY) 2 ] 1 / 2 In other words, when the HSP of component (a) is [δda, δpa, δha], the HSP of component (a) satisfies the following formula: δd=14.0, δp=1.0, δh=1.0, and Ra=[4×(14.0 - δda) 2 +(1.0 - δpa) 2 +(1.0 - δha) 2 ] 1 / 2 <= 5.0
[0012] The Ra of the component (b) and other components can be defined in a similar manner.
[0013] As mentioned above, human keratin plugs are complex structures composed of lipids and proteins, and there have been no reports of their solubility being measured using solubility parameters. As a result of extensive research, the inventors have discovered that the Hansen solubility parameters of human keratin plugs are in the vicinity of δd = 15.6, δp = 4.7, and δh = 5.1, and have reported this (Yoshikawa et al. (2022), Oral Presentation and Abstracts at the 53rd Autumn Meeting of the Society of Chemical Engineers, Japan).
[0014] Abbott(Abbott, S. (2012). An integrated According to "approach to optimizing skin delivery of cosmetic and pharmaceutical actives. Int J Cosmet Sci, 34(3), 217-222.," the HSP of human skin is said to be approximately δd = 17.0, δp = 8.0, and δh = 8.0, and it is thought that the HSP of the stratum corneum, which is located at the outermost surface of the skin, has values similar to these.
[0015] On the other hand, sebum is thought to contain a lot of lipid compounds such as squalene and oleic acid. These HSPs are squalene [17.0, 0.9, 3.1] and oleic acid [16.0, 2.8, 6.2], so it is thought that the lipids in sebum also have similar HSPs.
[0016] Considering all of this together, it can be said that the result that the HSP of keratin plugs composed of lipids and proteins was calculated to be δd = 15.6, δp = 4.7, δh = 5.1, which is approximately the intermediate value between the two, is a highly convincing result, and it is thought that a composition with high affinity for keratin plugs can be obtained by setting the HSP distance Ra between the HSP of the keratin plug removal composition and δd = 15.6, δp = 4.7, δh = 5.1 (the HSP of keratin plugs) to 4.0 or less.
[0017] This value is not included in the region of component (a) or component (b), but δd is intermediate between components (a) and (b), and δp and δh are in a region of higher polarity than component (b). While maintaining a balance between these, it is necessary to bring the HSP of the entire composition for removing keratin plugs closer to δd = 15.6, δp = 4.7, and δh = 5.1 (HSP of keratin plugs). If necessary, components other than components (a) and (b) may be added.
[0018] In addition, in the case of a keratin plug removing composition in which the components are compatible, the HSP of the keratin plug removing composition can be calculated by simple linear interpolation based on the volume ratio of the HSP of the constituent compounds. In other words, it shows that the HSP of the keratin plug removing composition can be estimated from the HSP and volume ratio of the constituent components. Specifically, it is calculated based on the following formula. HSP of mixture [δdm,δpm,δhm] = [(a×δd1+b×δd2) / (a+b),(a×δp1+b×δp2) / (a+b),(a×δh1+b×δh2) / (a+b)] Component 1 = [δd1, δp1, δh1] a = volume fraction of component 1 Component 2 = [δd2, δp2, h2] b = volume fraction of component 2 This also applies when the mixture consists of three or more compounds. Hereafter, the distance Ra between the HSP of the composition and the HSP of the keratin plug [15.6, 4.7, 5.1] calculated by this method is referred to as the "Ra with the keratin plug" of the composition.
[0019] The composition of the present invention has a Ra of 4.0 or less with respect to keratin plugs at 25° C., preferably a Ra of 3.5 or less, and more preferably a Ra of 3.0 or less. By satisfying this requirement, a composition having high removal performance for keratin plugs and makeup and excellent non-irritation can be provided, however, the present invention need not be interpreted as being limited to this mechanism.
[0020] The oil agent used in the present invention, which has an HSP distance Ra of 5.0 or less with respect to component (a): δd=14.0, δp=1.0, δh=1.0, also affects the makeup removing performance. In addition, because it is an oil agent, it also affects the removal performance of dirt derived from sebum, and also affects the lack of irritation during use. As long as the oil falls within this range, any oil may be used without any restrictions on its properties, origin, or other physical properties, and for example, one or more oils selected from the group consisting of silicone oils, hydrocarbon oils, ether oils, ester oils, glyceride oils, natural animal and vegetable oils, and semi-synthetic oils may be used. Among these, it is preferable that the cosmetic be liquid at 25°C, as this has excellent makeup removing performance. The content of component (b) used in the present invention is not particularly limited, but from the viewpoints of makeup removing performance, non-stickiness after rinsing, etc., it is preferably 5 to 75%, more preferably 10 to 70%, and even more preferably 10 to 55%.
[0023] The appearance and properties of the composition of the present invention are not particularly limited as long as they satisfy the above ranges, but it is preferable that each component is uniformly dissolved at 25° C. However, even if the composition is in a two-phase state such as separation, clouding, emulsification, etc., so long as it can be homogenized by simple mixing such as rubbing on the skin or shaking, this does not pose any problem in terms of exhibiting the performance of removing keratin plugs and makeup.
[0024] The composition of the present invention is substantially free of organic acids and organic bases, and thus can improve the lack of irritation during and after use. The organic acids and organic bases referred to here can be classified in the following stages. First, organic acids generally refer to organic compounds containing a carboxyl group, and a carboxyl group is a functional group in which one carbonyl group and one hydroxyl group are bonded, and is an important structural element that indicates the acidity of organic acids. There are various types of organic acids, including aliphatic carboxylic acids, aromatic carboxylic acids, and acidic amino acids. In the present invention, the organic base refers to an organic compound that exhibits basicity, and examples of the organic base include aliphatic amines, aromatic amines, and basic amino acids. In the present invention, "substantially free" specifically means that the content is 0.1% or less. From the viewpoint of non-irritation, the content is preferably 0.05% or less, and more preferably zero.
[0025] Furthermore, the composition of the present invention preferably contains a surfactant as component (c) from the viewpoint of makeup removal performance, etc. The surfactant referred to here is one that has an IOB of 0.40 or more and has the function of forming a water-in-oil or oil-in-water emulsion. The IOB in the present invention is a value calculated based on the organic concept diagram (Fujita Atsushi, Prediction of Organic Compounds and Organic Concept Diagram, Chemistry Area VOL. 11, No. 10 (1957) 719-715). More specifically, in this organic concept diagram, the physicochemical properties of a compound are expressed by defining the degree of properties mainly due to Van Der Waals forces as "organic" and the degree of properties mainly due to electrical affinity as "inorganic". The IOB value is an index showing the balance between inorganic and organic properties, and is expressed as IOB=inorganic value / organic value. It can be said that the larger this value is, the more hydrophilic and polar the compound is.
[0026] The composition of the present invention may be used alone or as a part of a multi-layer composition. For example, the oil layer of a two-layer composition consisting of an aqueous layer and an oil layer may comprise the composition of the present invention, or the internal oil phase of an oil-in-water emulsion composition may comprise the composition of the present invention.
[0027] In the composition for removing keratin plugs of the present invention, various components that can be contained as necessary can be appropriately used.Examples of such components include oils other than component (a) or component (b), powders, aqueous components, alcohols, water-soluble polymers, ultraviolet absorbers, moisturizers, gelling agents and thickeners, anti-fading agents, antioxidants, defoamers, beauty ingredients (whitening agents, cell activators, anti-inflammatory agents, blood circulation promoters, skin astringents, antiseborrheic agents, etc.), preservatives, antibacterial agents, fragrances, vitamins, hormones, etc. The keratin plug removing composition of the present invention can be used as a remover for cosmetics of various formulations. For example, liquid, milky, creamy, balm, solid, paste, gel, powder, press, multi-layer, mousse, spray, or stick, etc. can be mentioned, and it can be used as a remover for these cosmetics. In addition, the keratin plug removing composition of the present invention can be used as a remover for cosmetics that are intended for various application sites. For example, it can be made up cosmetics, skin care cosmetics, hair cosmetics, antiperspirants, or UV protection cosmetics, etc., and it can be used as a remover for these cosmetics.
[0028] Furthermore, the composition for removing keratin plugs of the present invention is suitably used in cleansing products such as cleansing oil, cleansing cream and mascara remover, although it is not particularly limited thereto, and is more suitably used in cleansing oil. The method of using the composition of the present invention is not particularly limited, and it may be used by rinsing or wiping, but rinsing is preferred from the viewpoint of leaving no stickiness after use and providing a refreshing feeling.
