To provide a cleaning method and a molding device which can appropriately clean a plurality of tanks, in a structure to store a metal-containing liquid in the plurality of tanks.SOLUTION: A cleaning method includes: a first discharge step of discharging a metal-containing liquid stored in a first tank and a second tank from a nozzle; a first cleaning liquid supply step of supplying a cleaning liquid to the first tank and the second tank, after execution of the first discharge step; a second discharge step of discharging the cleaning liquid stored in the first tank and the second tank from the nozzle, after execution of the first cleaning liquid supply step; a second cleaning liquid supply step of supplying the cleaning liquid to the first tank, after execution of the second discharge step; a cleaning liquid circulation step of mutually sending the cleaning liquid between the first tank and the second tank through a flow channel, after execution of the second cleaning liquid supply step; and a third discharge step of discharging the cleaning liquid stored in the first tank and the second tank from the nozzle, after execution of the cleaning liquid circulation step.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 6
